Match of the Millennium

Description: Seeing how neither Yuri or Sophia are ventriloquists they decide to expose some easily impressable teenagers to violence instead. Who wins and who ends up becoming a meme on social media?

[YURI]
A community center type of place that helps young people learn about martial arts? That's something Yuri can definitely get behind! In fact, she's actually considered volunteering there if the opportunity should arise. It's almost like a place that Yuri would love to work at. Of course, that would be something for another time and another place. Unfortunately, things are a bit different today.

Apparently, they want to give these kids a puppet show using ventriloquist dummies that resemble both Yuri and her opponent, who she hasn't heard of before but is eager all the same to meet. It's the idea of giving a puppet show that Yuri is not behind.

"Giving a PUPPET show? To kids like THIS?" Yuri asks sarcastically, before hmmphing. "So totally uncool." She puts the dummy down for a moment and then looks to the bored-looking kids, giving them a huge grin. "Hellooooooooo everyboooooooody! I'm sorry that things have come to this, but I've got something big to tell you! I'm Yuri Sakazaki, queen of the style of Kyokugen Karate, the coolest style in the world! Once this whole thing is over with, I'm gonna start coming here and teaching you all just how awesome our style is!"

This gets the kids interested with some of them even cheering wildly. "Once this silly skit is over with, it's gonna get a LOT cooler!" She then picks up her dummy and looks at it with scorn before waiting for her opponent to show up. "I really hope this whole thing can be done with fast."

[SOPHIA]
Sophia isn't really much happier than Yuri about the whole situation. Hopefully it was properly explained to the kids what she was or this could get awkward really fast. She slowly slithers in trying not to draw too much attention to herself but she's rather hard to ignore. A mixture of gross and cool can be heard from the kids in the audience.

"Are you like the monster girl in that anime?!" One of the students can't help but to let out.

"Don't be stupid this is real-life, it's totally different!" A different student answers the boy.

"They make live-action adaptions of anime sometimes!" The first student response back.

"Hello, my name is Sophia...Nede." She looks rather uneasy in front of the large crowd as she picks up the other dummy. She's a bit surprised at how much it resembles her, tail and all.

[YURI]
As soon as Sophia approaches, Yuri looks over and then does a double-take. "A snake-girl?" Yuri says aloud without realizing that Sophia can hear her. For a moment, it looks like Yuri might be squicked out by this, but then her expression changes to a grin. "That's so totally cool! Maybe this won't be as bad as I thought it would be?" Then Yuri sees her holding that dummy and she frowns a little. "Wait a minute, we really have to do a puppet show?" She shakes her head. "Then why are we in this stupid ring?"

Yuri looks to the kids and smiles again. "As you can see, we have a surprise guest here, a snake-girl. This is even more cooler than before. So I'm gonna make my demonstration of Kyokugen even more cool!" She gets some more cheers with that.

"Oh yeah, I'm Yuri Sakazaki, the queen of the Kyokugen style of Karate!" Yuri introduces herself to Sophia. "I expected to be here for a fight, not a puppet show. I don't know if this is even worth our time?"

[SOPHIA]
"I've been called much worse..." Sophia doesn't seem to be too phased by Yuri's comment. "I'm not even sure how to fight with a puppet." She pulls on the strings a bit awkwardly trying to move the tail on her counterpart. "I've never heard of Kyokugen karate but then again I don't practice martial arts. I guess we can fight for real. It seems a bit odd to hold a puppet show in place like this.'"

Several of the kids pull out their cell phones upon hearing there'll be a real fight. This is bound to end up all over social media.

[YURI]
"Fight for real?" Yuri's eyes go wide. "Now that's what I'm talking about! After all, we're inside a fighting ring, so it only makes sense that we'd have a real fight!" At that, the kids watching start cheering as Yuri throws the dummy out of the ring. "That thing barely even does me justice! It doesn't even have my braid!" At that, Yuri cracks her knuckles and does some light stretching before looking to the kids and says, "Change of plans, kids! We're going to have a demonstration of Kyokugen Karate with Sophia. Who knows what she's capable of? This is gonna be sooooooooooo awesome!"

With that, Yuri turns to face Sophia. "I can't wait to see how you fight! This is gonna be so much fun! I've never fought a snake girl before! My dad might freak out at the thought, but who cares what he thinks?" She smiles. "Let's make this a really cool fight!"

Yuri's comment reminds Sophia still hasn't contacted her parents since she was transformed. She wonders if they've found out yet. She sets her puppet aside someone went through the trouble of making it so she rather not have it be ruined in the fight. She takes a defensive stance as she waits for the younger woman to attack her. She's not sure what's she capable of besides some type of martial arts.

"All right, keep your eyes peeled everyone," Yuri says with a big grin. "You don't want to miss out on how awesome Kyokugen Karate truly is!" She points to Sophia and says, "Don't hold anything back! I want to make this a fight to remember for everyone!" She rolls her arm around a few times as if to limber it up, but it's kind of a taunting thing as well. "Ready? Here we go!"

Without waiting for a response, Yuri rushes towards the snake girl, attempting to bring up her right hand to deliver a running punch. "Here I come! Be ready!"

Yuri mentioning in advance she was going to attack gives Sophia a chance to be ready for it. She raises her tail to block it but it's still a bit painful. She doesn't intended to go all out here. She doesn't want to lose control of herself in front of the kids. Her mouth opens but she doesn't speak, instead a rather long and forked tongue is flung at Yuri as she tries to ensnare the martial artist with it.

Yuri isn't expecting to see a tongue coming at her. She could imagine the tail coming at her, but the tongue? That's a new one! She doesn't think snakes do that to their prey, but frogs do. The point remains, Yuri is ensnared and finds herself in a bit of a bind.

"Ungh... no way!" She cries out. "This isn't right..." She looks at Sophia and realizes that she's really got a long tongue and, if she doesn't break free, who knows what she might try to do?

"Time for a little Kyokugen strategy!" Yuri yells out as she reaches back briefly before thrusting her arm forward with a small fireball ccoming from her hand. Hopefully this should get her free and give her a chance to get into her fighting stance again.

Yuri wanted to see how she fought. Sophia cringes a bit as the fireball burns her tongue but she manages to keep her grip on the girl as she pulls her in closer. Once she's within range she bites at her with her fangs. She's dealing with a predator here and the martial artist had wanted to fight her for real.

"This is so embarrassing!" Yuri says aloud as she finds she's still being held tight. But now the girl wants to bite her? "Hey, I'm not food for a snake! I'm Yuri, the Kyokugen Queen!" She yells as she raises an arm to hold off the fangs from biting her. The way she bends her arm, it keeps her from being bitten too badly, although she can see a few bite marks in her arm afterward. Hopefully, Sophia isn't venomous.

With that, Yuri attempts to kick down at Sophia's snake-half in hopes of convincing her to let go. She's not enjoying being grabbed by the snake-woman's tongue, and it's starting to change her view on snakes as well.

Sophia having her tail kicked makes her tongue lose her grip on Yuri. "Sorry..." Embarrassing as it was it was one of her means of fighting as a Darkstalker. She's not venomous but she is able to produce acid, for now she simply punches at her. She needs a moment to catch her breath after that.

The punch is hard, but not enough to strike Yuri. "You need to do better than that!" Yuri comments as she attempts to rush in and deliver a personal variant of the Dragon Punch, given the Yuri touch!

That's why Sophia was sticking to more unorthodox methods of fighting, she's not a trained combatant. Figuring that Yuri's better at close combat she moves to the edge of the ring and tries to distance herself from her. She places her palms together and they begin to glow green. Suddenly a snake made out of energy is launched at the martial artist with the intent of draining her of energy.

"I'm not letting you-- AAHH!" Yuri attempts to bring her hands up to shield herself from Sophia's latest attempt, but it's no use. The snake-girl is faster than she thinks, and suddenly she finds herself being bitten by an energy snake, which seems to be venomous or something, as Yuri starts to feel weaker than she feels she should. "Unngh... don't feel... good... so uncool!"

[SOPHIA]
Yuri's not the first opponent that Sophia's fought that can deflect attacks, so she knows that she needs to get in fast. She lunges forth and two paper fans appear in her hands as she does so. They're dripping with acid which melts through the ring below a bit. She repeatedly smackes the girl with them as she tries to recover taking advantage of her exposed state.

OK, whatever that was, Yuri's really not liking it. She's feeling weaker and weaker by the minute, and those fans aren't make it any better. "So... uncool..." Yuri looks to the others and says, "This isn't supposed... to happen..." She feebly stumbles back a little, trying to summon her chi into her hands. She focuses as best as she can, although she is gasping for air here and there.

Then, Yuri shoots forth a HUGE fireball at Sophia. "What... you get..."

"Should we stop?" She may be a Darkstalker but she's not a monster. She begins to look a bit concerned for the younger girl. As a result she's caught off-guard as she's smacked backwards by the huge fireball. "Interesting, your martial art allows you to unleash energy as well. Is it the result of medidation?" She can't but help to be curious about that even though she's not sure if she'll get a coherent answer out of her. Her tail extends outwards as she tries to wrap it around Yuri and throw her.

Unfortunately, Yuri doesn't believe in giving up that easily. Even though she's badly hurt and tired out, she refuses to give in. She ends up getting thrown across the ring, but she ends up rebounding against the ropes and coming back at Sophia. And this time, she's intent on demonstrating her last-ditch attack by jumping into Sophia and landing quite a few rapid kicks into her!

Sophia tries to pull Yuri away from her but gets kicked repeatedly and stumbles a bit. Maybe now wasn't the best time to ask questions and focus on defending herself instead. The ring begins to shake a bit and there's a large cracking sound as it's shattered apart. Several glowing green snakes similar to the one earlier but much larger burst through the floor. They begin to bite at Yuri trying to protect Sophia from her.

Yuri has no chance to protect herself against Sophia's latest attack. She's caught sooner than she expects, and she finds herself drained of all of her energy almost instantly. She doesn't bother to try attacking again, instead she just drops to one knee and says, "This is just a fluke. Next time... there'll be real... cool stuff..." Then she falls flat on her face.

[SOPHIA]
The snakes rapidly vanish as quickly as they were summoned. The school kids are stunned as they look at Sophia before one of them speaks up. "Wow, how did you do that?!"

"Can you teach me?" Another speaks up as she makes a shooing gesture. "I think Yuri would rather teach you." She tries to save some face for the girl but appears she's passed out. "Maybe you should go her some help?" She's trying to get the kids to leave so she can sneak away from the situation.
