Marz - A Savior on Stage

[Toggle Names]

Description: At Pacific High, there's a hero in town, The Mega Dragon Fighter J-Dragon! While he has been making waves in the Neo-League, SNFs and saving people on the streets, he has attracted the attention of some people interested in his potential power. In particular, Marz, Shadaloo Doll, has devised a devious test and smokescreen in order to see just what this so-called hero has. In doing so, she begins to weave a web to entrap a hero.

[MARZ]
Killing soldiers. Cleaning up loose ends in military contacts. That was Decapre work. That was Satsuki work. That was not Marz work. Harvest comes in Fall and the dead of Winter has blood on the snow. Springtime means fecundity. Resources needed be gathered, especially with the degree of culling necessary to combat the material losses brought on by Vega's military purge. And all because a single little woman happened to get free of their direct control.

It was enough to make Marz want to shattered her laptop against a wall. But, cooler heads prevailed and Marz instead decided to use her time globe hopping and directing Shadaloo squads to scope out and scout potential future agents for the cause of Lord Vega. With each fallen sleeper, there was a bounty of fresh talent to locate and tag.

And a prime candidate was located in Pacific High. Footage of this young and upcoming fighter was easy enough to find. Observation suggested a strong potential in Psycho Power, a perfect candidate. And days upon days were spent in researching and understanding the target. Ultimately, this lead to one conclusion, it would be best to get close to the target and learn from them directly. Infosec at its best, with a healthy dose of psyops. Much more in Marz's wheelhouse than bumping off the straggling sleepers in global militaries.

Of course, the perfect meeting would need to be arranged. The perfect moment needed to be sculpted and curated to create the best foot forward when it came to approaching Koto Mukai. But with a little work, and a few captured and quickly engineered Darkstalkers, a scenario was beginning to form in the head of the Doll Strategist. Thankfully, some of those from Makai are more controllable than others.

Which leads to a day like any other. One that, for the most part, is a very quiet and studious day at Pacific High. Where students go about their business. Though one lavender haired young woman is watching the school's security feed from her laptop. Keeping an eye on a particular target. While nearby, a small group of girls in school uniforms, each one looking eerily alike, stand like actors waiting for a cue.

Marz grins, her glasses reflecting her screen. The Mega Dragon Fighter is near, in his human guise. And she waits, and waits, hand raising to the collection of disguised Darkstalkers, ready for the moment.

When he is nearest to hear, Marz screams out in terror, shrieking a cry for help.

[KOTO]
It was, indeed, just a day like any other. Koto was even moving between classes. Passing through the smaller crowd of students as he moved to his next class. He even was going over some notes as he went from a binder, head tilting this way and that as he went. The young man had very few friends that were not in the tokusatsu club, after all. And even then he only knew one outside of the school.

That, and he had some sort of nagging going on in the back of his head. As if something was off about the school today. It made it hard to focus on class itself at times as he wandered around the campus between classes. And in this case, it seemed to have paid off.

The scream of terror has Koto running in that direction unlike many. At least the research showing his hero complex was right on. He heads right for the scream, even going through the necessary door as he searches for what caused it. The noticeable part is that the doors all twist open, glowing slightly on the camera feeds. A brief glow and they all twist to open with a small push as he goes through them rather quickly to get to his destination.

[MARZ]
Being small, slight, wearing glasses and only 18, it was simple for Marz to infiltrate, acquire a uniform, and fit in with the students on campus. And that's what Koto finds as he pushes through the doors of the Auditorium. A small teen girl by the stage, clutching her laptop to her chest and cringing away from a quintet of taller girls. Suspiciously enough, each of those girls bears identical haircuts.

The girls fan out, starting to surround the smaller one. With menace, they stalk closer, looking like a pack of hungry wolves. And it's then that one of them happens to look up at this newly arrived in the nick of time hero. A look that reveals her eyes are solid, alien, insectile looking.

The quintet let out a violent, droning hiss and, staying in character, Marz lets out another scream to drive the point home that she is totally the one in trouble here at the hands of these hissing girls with bug eyes.

[KOTO]
Blinking a few times as he bursts through the door to the auditorium, Koto peers at what he's seeing, then frowns as he drops his bag and binder on top of it. "Great... since when do DarkStalkers go to school!?"

Moving his left arm in front of him across his chest, the hero moves his arm across quickly, "Henshin!" And like that the auditorium is enlightened by a prismatic glow surrounding the hero. The flashiness of it definitely akin to psycho power or some obscure chi power. Especially as cameras later reveal that his suit manifested around himself. Literally just appeared from within the light to wrap around him. Leaping off of the top of the auditorium setting, Koto pushes easily as he seems to glide almost straight for the stage, stepping once when he lands as he twists into a fighting stance, a close one with his hands in tight fists at the moment.
"Hey, ladies, leave her alone! If you don't, I'll send you back home in pieces!" The newly costumed man declares at the quintet.

[MARZ]
The smile on Marz's face when the super hero bursts onto the scene could be because she's seen her savior arrive in a flashy costume. That's at least what she's going for to cover her pleasure at the success of her plan.

And it is almost immediately as Koto cries out his challenge that the "students" all drop their guises and turn on him with a single-mindedness. The group thrums a steady droning, wings burst from their back and flit and flicking. Stingers burst as disguises drop and the five bee-like women encroach on the hero's position.

With the moment given, Marz begins to back away, watching, observing, and noting what is about to happen. For now, she'll play the part of cowering woman who is being saved by the hero. If she's miscalculated, she might need to involve herself. But for now, she's content to see the outcome of her plan.

The five bee-women start to fan out toward Koto. Two of them hover just off of their feet, but strangely enough, they do not make the first attack. Content, it seems, to menace and scare and impose themselves on the Dragon Fighter.

[KOTO]
The young man seems to consider how best to get rid of the bee girls now. The overall tension is from the fact that the girls can fly, and Koto can only glide as far as he knows. But with the auditorium at the moment, he can at least try to keep them from between their apparent target and them.

Hopping towards the one nearest Marz, Koto spins out a fierce leg that would normally be a sweep it seems, instead electing to use the force of the sweep to attempt to send the bee girl into one of her cohorts as he spins to attempt to land a bit gracefully and facing the group rather than being surrounded. He glances over his shoulder, calling to Marz, "Get out of here! I'll handle this!"

[MARZ]
Puppeted Stalkers falls asleep.

Puppeted Stalkers wakes up.

A crushing wave of force sweeps to one of the Soul Bee Quintet. She squeals in a voice all too human as she throws up her hands, bracing against the force that is still strong enough to hoist her relatively light frame and send it gently floating backwards. Her wings having kicked in to keep her hovering in place.

They are, for a moment, disoriented as one but Koto is a clear and present target. The droning of wings rises as the quintet begin to fly and swarm. A small circle. The five thrum and hum and then one moves forward. She reaches for Koto. In hopes of grabbing him and lifting him off his feet. A second zooms over, then a third. One by one they zip and fly about the young hero. They all reach for him, to grab and hold and spin and toss. Trying to hurl and toss him about like a scrap of paper in a storm before allowing him to crash to the ground in a heap among the seats of the audience rows.

All the while, Marz shrinks back. She hears the warning, but she isn't about to let her little bees alone. She cradles her precious laptop, tapping at it while she considers. Pressing her slipping glasses, she lets out a squeaking cry. "I-I can't. I can't just leave you here alone!"

She can only hope that the boy is open to buying her mewling.

Puppeted Stalkers falls asleep.

Puppeted Stalkers wakes up.

[KOTO]
Finding himself suddenly tossed around in mid air shows that Koto is not going to have much chance against whatever these things are in terms of aerial acrobatics. Tossed, spun, held briefly, and spun again he ends up crashing into the audience seating hard enough some chairs break as he immediately hops up to his feet... and adopts an entirely different stance it seems. This one's wider, with his hands looser in flat palms.

There is something odd about the stance, however. Like it was meant for something more as he brings one hand around and spins it around to launch a projectile, "DRAAAGON EMPEROR!" The overly zealous move just has to be some form of power. An overwhelming, large rolling wave that twists in the air from the way he swings his arm is aimed to catch as many of the bee girls as possible.

Afterwards, he starts to move away from the side that Marz is, apparently figuring out that the bee girls seem to be focused on him rather than her at the moment. He calls towards her, "Just get to cover, then!"

COMBATSYS: Koto successfully hits Puppeted Stalkers with Dragon Emperor.

[MARZ]
The air ripples at the force that comes from Koto's mighty strike. The Soul Bee Quintet zip and fly around, confident in their ability to dodge and and avoid the attacks from this human. But it's all for naught. One, two, three of them rip from the air, clatter into one another, and go tumbling like pins out into the audience seats. They lay scattered, limbs in the air, buzzing and recollecting themselves.

Nearby, Marz licks her lips in anticipation. She was right, she can tell, about this boy's talents. She knows well what Psycho Power looks like, what sort of energy that of the self and soul can be. And what's more, the hero has given her a more readily able to listen to suggestion. "O-okay!" she calls out, slipping to the edge of the stage and flipping open her laptop. Already the streams of data and readout information from hidden scanners are giving her proof that her eyes are seeing.

The Soul Bees remaining for the moment stare hungrily at the energy coming off Koto. Such a display of power makes them hungry. And Koto has revealed he is a tasty, tasty treat like was promised. The standing twins launch themselves at Koto. The first zips to position herself behind him in an attempt to kick him forward. While the first flies in, whirls around, and points her sharp, bulbous stinger right for Koto's gut with a crunching force of her own.

COMBATSYS: Koto interrupts Elegy of Lost Opportunity from Puppeted Stalkers with Crane Swipes Fish.

[KOTO]
Koto, still moving, twists his body as the zipping one comes behind, his head lowered slightly as he seems to be trying to keep both of the standing bee twins in view. And it pays off as one palm and forearm snaps up to push the leg away, then snap out a palm strike at the girl's backside to send her into the incoming stinger strike.

Koto spins around afterwards, looking to the other bee people as he moves to the aisle way to give himself more space to work with. Moving up the stairs one or two at a time as he keeps that open, wide stance ready. "Nice try, ladies. Seems as if you do not like my Space Pakua, however."

Still, Koto is a bit weary of the quintet it seems. Especially as he has to deal with a five on one rather than just one or two coming after him as he has before. That many just isn't something he seems to be used to, despite doing fine so far.

[MARZ]
The five girls rise up again after being completely scattered by the Dragon Fighter. They grumble, complain, and buzz to one another over the scattering they've just endured at the hands of this soul powered fighter. They hunger for his power, but as one rubs her rear after being swatted so hard she's starting to feel a bit discouraged over this. Their complaints in their own language about the nuisance.

Marz is having a joy collecting the information off this fighter. And planning on her next approach.

Disturbed by this man, they hum and thrum in unison. The five bee girls flit to points all around Koto as he ascends the stairs. Two by the door, one at the stage, two more hovering at the sides. They buzz and angle. And then, one by one, they fire themselves toward the man in the middle, streaking like angry, stinging shots one by one.

[KOTO]
The first one is easily blocked as Koto's stance shifts and he becomes as hard as steel once more. His hands close into fists and he brings his arm around to block the first, sweeping her aside as he twists to block the next. And the next. The third and fourth one have him dancing atop the back of the seats nearly as he twists his body to bring up a knee, then a swinging swipe of his forearm for the last. Even then, he doesn't seem to get out of it unscathed as there are what appears to be motes of his prismatic energy coming from the forearms and calf he used to block.

The leg might be worrying for anyone else, but Koto seems to have it in hand as he grabs at the last one and attempts to throw her directly into her fellow sisters, glowing slightly as he flips through the air to perform the overhead throw and twists to land on his feet, again balancing on the seating itself if he lands safely this time.

[MARZ]
A grab to the last bee. She spins, twisted in the air, her hands grip at Koto's arms. Close with the beegirl, Koto gets hurled with a part of his own power. Lobbed up into the air while the beegirl crashes to the ground.

A second beegirl zips over to intercept the airborne Koto, herself swinging to throw Koto over to one of her sisters. In turn, the dizzying array of tosses continue until Koto is swung by two of the girls square to the center of the auditorium stage.

As Koto crashes down, Marz steps in. With apparently only her laptop and uniform to protect her, the lavender haired girl jumps out from her hiding spot. "No!" she cries out, standing by Koto, facing off against the bees. Around her hands, and coating her laptop, psycho power starts to roll. It's time for the next part of Marz's plan here. "I can't just stand and watch."

Koto, after being flung that hard ends up sliding on the auditorium stage a few feet on landing before he can roll to get to his feet. Once again he adopts that wider, more open stance. And he pauses as he seems to sense that power that Marz has. He looks at her, then at the girls. "I... how do you have the same power as me?"

He looks up, then brings his hands upwards as he brings both hands to the crest on his head. A copy of it seems to pull itself out as the glowing, prismatic blade starts to spin into a ring of power. "I never tried this with so many before..." Then he launches the glowing ring at the bee quintent. "J-Slugger!"

[MARZ]
Marz was granted this power by the great Lord Vega. Not to her knowledge is the kidnapping and experimentation part. Or the loss and altered identity. The not knowing quite who she is but being very certain about herself. But she can't reveal a shred of that truth to Koto, not quite yet. "I, I always had!" she says, stammering, being the doll that she is while she watches with wide eyes the shining blade and the ring of power.

And watch she does as the power blasts into the bees. They scream as they scatter, sent here and there, slamming against chairs and walls and falling into scattered heaps.

"Wow," Marz gawps, she is not the best actor, but she can do overacting schoolgirl.

The bees rise. Or, some of them do. Only three manage to get to their feet. With a virulent madness in their opaque, monocolored eyes, they hurl themselves at Koto. Striking kicks, fists, and sharp jabbing stingers. A cloud of violence thrown at Koto. Trying desperate, pushing themselves, guided by the control modules put in them. Puppeted by the very girl Koto is trying to save.

While the bees descend toward Koto. Marz has to leap in to "help" her newfound hero. She cries and flails a little wildly after Koto. A blunt, swinging backhand. She's not the best of the Dolls at fighting, she's arguably one of the worst, but she does have the training befitting Shadaloo operatives. Only here, she's trying her damnedest to fight like an untrained young girl.

[KOTO]
Finding himself suddenly assaulted by the bee girls, Koto is pretty helpless as he shifts to that harder stance from before. Stingers stab into his suit, causing more psycho power to spark away in wisps, and the punches seem to batter him around. Those kicks, punches, and stingers definitely have Koto moving furiously in attempts to block but three maddened girls on him just seems to be too much for him to handle. At least until there is a noticeable glow under his feet. Some sort of symbol forms, what latter footage would reveal as a winged dragon's head before suddenly going straight to his legs as he finally has enough, hops back away from the enraged trio and leaps upwards. "RAIJIIIN RYU!"

Instead of the normal axe kick and backflip kick that she might have seen, Koto inventively turns the attack sideways and scissor kicks the two that are not about to be backhanded by her, landing and spinning to achieve the second arc of the kick with both as he backflips to his feet in a twisting, corkscrewing move that most probably couldn't achieve without some form of training.

Puppeted Stalkers falls asleep.

Puppeted Stalkers wakes up.

Puppeted Stalkers falls asleep.

Puppeted Stalkers wakes up.

An energy packing backfist does little more than disoriented the remaining Soul Bees. Marz putting an effort in to put only a partial effort into the melee. After all, Koto was the true hero in all of this. All she intended to do was demonstrate a little Psycho Power.

And true to form, the Mega Dragon Fighter J-Dragon comes up the star of the show. Right there on the stage, symbols and a dragon appear before a striking corkscrew of a series of scissor kicks. The Bee-Girls shriek and buzz as the twisting force blasts them back and crashing against the wall all the way across the auditorium.

And with that amazing show of heroic force, Marz reaches behind her, to what looks like a phone sits tucked in the waistband of her school skirt. A click of a signal to the implants in the Bee-Girl's necks and the quintent jolts awake. They screech and hiss, making Marz shriek one last time before the bees make for a buzzy, clipped escape. The sounds of student surprise, shock and in some cases awe at the bee girl's flight echoes in the hallway. But for the two students left in the auditorium, all is much much quieter.

For a moment, at least. "That, that was awesome!" Marz exclaims, doing her best to sound like she's never been in a situation like this one before. "I, I didn't think I'd make it out on my own." She grins, stops to make certain her glasses are cutely askew, and cradles her laptop in front of her with a crossarmed hold, staring up at the tall hero with his latent, exploitable, Psycho Power Potential.

[KOTO]
The hero, flipping back to his feet after the kicks actually looks for the bees again. That spinning ring even tries to zip back a few times before disappearing as if it never existed. Koto himself seems to breath heavily, then changes back as his suit seems to disintegrate into prismatic sparks.

His eyes are closed whenever he comes into view through the suit, then he winces a bit as some tears are visible on his uniform here and there. Definitely the stingers that did get through.

Turning to look at the girl, Koto's eyes open and he rubs the back of his head, "I... ah... thank you. You did pretty good with that back hand yourself. What's your name? And do you know why they were after you specifically? I do not think I have seen you, nor them before, so..."

Koto looks at her carefully, although he winces a bit as he favors one of his legs that has a gash from a stinger.

[MARZ]
It's over, the plan is enacted in the first part. Contact made, potential emotions connected, the stratagem is put to play. It took some considerable movement of pieces, but check has been called. It's a matter of time before the mate falls.

Marz clutches her laptop close to her, blinking as the suit bursts into sparks and returns Koto to something considered normal for him. She steps back, and shrinks herself, tucking her shoulders in and taking on the posture she usually has when she really doesn't want to deal with people's stupidity. Though this time the purpose is to just make her look as clueless and nonthreatening as possible.

"Um, I've not been here long," she says in slow Japanese. A look up at the much taller Koto and Marz adjusts her glasses. "I'm an exchange student, I just started and got lost. Um. My name is Yayoi. Um. Yayoi Fischer. My father is German."

She fidgets with her laptop and looks to the exits of the auditorium. "I don't know why they wanted me like that. I thought they were just twins, not bee people. They were talking about eating my soul and," she acts a shiver and looks down at Koto's leg.

"Oh my, we need to get you to the nurse!"

[KOTO]
"Um... if I had to guess, it might have been what those types of DarkStalkers do... I encountered more than those before. Some that looked like werewolves, some bat person, even fought one that hunts those things for a living." Koto replied, then blinks at her concern.

He looks down at his leg, then frowns a little. "Huh... that is pretty bad. We should probably head there. That, and we need to explain why we have a few wrecked seats among other things, I guess... hope they can fix those easily."

Looking down at Marz, the teen seems to consider. "Care to come along? I admit I am curious... I... well..." His face reddens. "You are actually the first I've encountered with power like mine... at least that I could actually... ah..." He rubs the back of his head again. "... never mind... you will probably think I'm nuts. Let's head to the nurse, then..." He turns to start making his way towards the exit to the auditorium. The leg injury doesn't seem to bother him too much so far. Hopefully those stingers weren't poisonious or anything!

[MARZ]
Holding her laptop close, Marz does her level best to avoid commenting on the nature of Darkstalkers. She can't correct, she can't argue, or profess she'd rather just be in a dark room with an energy drink and the warm glow of her laptop. "Really? You've fought more of those things?" she asks, then stops and shakes her head. "Oh, I'm sorry, I mean, of course you must have, you beat those girls up so well."

She looks away and wriggles in place. "It really does look bad, maybe you should check it out. And, um, I just started coming here and so I don't want to cause any waves or get too much attention on me." She looks down at the ground and then back up at Koto. "Maybe. Maybe we can meet up after school sometime?" she asks.

[KOTO]
Koto turns a bit, "Actually... I did not beat them up so well... I was lucky, really... first time I've fought so many." He seems to consider on her offer.

"Eh... sure, why not? Do you have a cellphone or email or something we can use to contact each other?" He finally replies. Even then, he does turn to look at her, still favoring that leg.

"Besides, I compete in the Neo-League a lot, and some of the SNF... you would be surprised what comes out of those."

[MARZ]
"Don't say that!" Marz interjects with a small amount of shock. "I don't know what I would've done if you hadn't come along!" It's not a lie, she didn't really have much of a plan B in this situation, other than just jumping Koto with the squad of darkstalkers.

An email is something she does have. And with some effort of jostling and finding something to scribble on laying about as part of her schoolgirl infiltration outfit, she offers up some messaging programs she can be reached on. Having a lot of contacts has been part of her information net, none of them aware of the Shadaloo Doll's true life and purpose. Adding Koto to the list will be a boon.

"I, well, maybe I'll look you up on fighttube," she says, fixing her glasses. "And maybe, when we do meet up again, I can show you, um, this." She holds up her hand, screws up her face and squeezes her eyes shut to show just how much 'effort' it takes her to cause her hand to sheathe itself in the iridescent glow of Psycho Power.

[KOTO]
Taking the piece of scribbling, Koto sticks it into his pocket. "It was nothing. It is what us heros do, after all..."

Shrugging, Koto looks embarassed. "Ah... I am not that good. I think my losses are a lot more than my wins at the moment. Um..."

Then she shows off the glowing hand. "Huh... that is different than what I do. We will have to compare sometime, I think?"

[MARZ]
The power fades and Marz puts on the biggest hopeful grin she can, copying what she's seen on television and anime to try to sell her act. "I'd really like that," she says. "I've never compared myself to a hero before."

She sways in spot, and then realizes she can't push it all right now. Sometimes one needs to make it less obvious what she wants to know. So she takes a few steps away. "Please send me a message. I'd really like to see you again. Hero."

[KOTO]
Smiling, Koto gives a nod. "Sure! I will see you around, ah... I... thank you, Yayoi... oh... um... my name is Koto Mukai, but I use the fighting name of Mega Dragon Fighter J-Dragon as well."

He smiles at her again, moving to continue to the exit and head for the nurse no doubt. He does look to be standing a bit straighter, however, and probably proud of himself or being a hero to someone.
