Match of the Millennium

Description: Kazuya lays out an open challenge. The most unlikely challenger answers the call.

[KAZUYA]
It was time...for the great Kazuya Mishima to accept worthy challengers to test against his superior skill. It was one thing to say you were the best, it was another thing entirely to prove it! Thus, in his supercompany, in which he's the CEO, Kazuya declares that he will take on any and all challengers in the northern outskirts of the forest.

Thus...if one came to see?

THere he was. Waiting. Staring ever forward with his heterochromatic eyes. He sat down cross-legged, wearing white pants that had a demon on one side and burning flame decal on the either. He wore fighters gloves. and he was currently shirtless.

Here comes the pain. He's patient. someone has 24 hours to beat him.

[MASAMI]
Worthy? Maybe not. But this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. How often does one get to say they got to fight with Kazuya Mishima? Not very often. Besides, this is a good way to see how his training is coming along. So all in all, it's still a win, even if he loses. Which yeah, he probably will; Masami holds no illusions of winning a fight with the son of Heihachi Mishima.

However, for all Kazuya's earnest challenge, the one to answer might be a little disappointing. It's a schoolboy with black hair and a slightly aloof look. Nobody that he would likely recognize on sight. Nonetheless, this 'nobody' answered the challenge. And despite the aloof look, seems respectful! The firs tthing the schoolboy does is bow, and note, "Thank you for allowing me this chance. I look forward to learning from this."

[KAZUYA]
By the time Masami arrives, he'll notice that Kazuya is surrounded by unconscious fighters. He looks up to this....boy who arrives, and Kazuya has learned never to judge a book byu the cover...but even still. "You realize that even though you are merely a schoolboy, I will not show mercy to you. If you acknowledge this, then come...and bring me what you have."

Though, yes, Kazuya is looking just a little bit disappointed. He's expecting the best fighters EVAH. But...it's what he gets for coming to a secluded forest. "But...I acknowledge your courage, foolish as it might be. Tell me your name."

[MASAMI]
Masami refuses to be rankled here -- part of fighting is psychological, after all. If he lets himself get upset, rattled, or afraid now, then he's already lost. To that end, he approaches, at Kazuya's words. Though the mention of not having mercy? "I wouldn't expect you to," he acknowledges evenly, as he approaches. The question of his name, that gets a respectful dip of his head and he offers, "My name is Masami Nakamichi."

For all the foolishness Masami might have displayed by coming here, he's not blustering on with bravado for days. He's not touting himself as the best of the best, he's not puffing up his chest and blowing hot air about his years of training. No, he's observing, from the looks of it, blue eyes fixed on Kazuya with a calm, considering look.

[KAZUYA]
Kazuya stares Masami down, and he actually gets a smirk from the CEO of G-corp. He defended well against mental mind games. "Very well." and Kazuya enters a fighting stance, and Masami might feel it.

Fear.

Kazuya is not a light fighter. There's something almost...demonic about his strength. But clearly, he's not a demon. Will Masami still have the courage to attack?

Kazuya stances, and Masami gets it then. There is a frisson of discomfiture that runs through Masami then, visible as a tiny shiver at his neck. Easily missed by the unattentive. Probably not missed by Kazuya, however. Yeah. The kid understands he has probably opened up a can of worms that's gonna steamroll him.

But he's already come this far; he can't back out now. That would be a kind of loss that he wouldn't recover from. Broken bones heal. Broken pride? That takes longer. So, well... time to put his money where his mouth is!

With Kazuya requesting that he 'bring it', Masami does just that. He lunges forward... though he seems to dive down at the ground. Which only seems odd for a moment. Because as his arms hit the ground, he turns his body, to support his upper body with those arms as he spins. His legs? Those end up spinning like the blades of a helicopter, as he turns into the splits while spinning! This weird breakdancing 'helicopter kick' is aimed low, of course.

Kazuya seems to literally shift his arm just the right way to block this strange spin-kick that Masami does...and it literally doesn't even seem to put a scratch on the much more experienced fighter. But at the same time, Kazuya can tell that this kid was either really brave or really stupid.

He can always use guys like that at G-corp.

So, he stands his ground, and soon? he starts throwing hands at Masami! Fast as lightning and aiming for a rib and a leg, he uses Twin Pistons! Clearly, he's trying to end this fight fast.

It's no sooner that Masami gets out of that spin that there's what almost seems like a solid wall of arm and hand! Several punches impact his torso, knocking the breath out of him and staggering him back. A strike lands at his knee, knocking that out from under him too. And as he staggers back, he falls. Looks like Kazuya might just get his wish yet -- the kid's down already!

But, to his credit, he doesn't STAY down. As soon as Kazuya lets up, Masami kicks up to his feet again. There's a wince there -- yeah, he's definitely going to feel that in the morning. But aside from that, his face is mostly calm. He's not completely unreadable; one wouldn't expect a teenage boy to be a master of the poker face, but he's making a concerted effort to keep it to himself that he's realized this was a bad idea.

Though at the same time... he would be a liar if he said it wasn't exciting. But he'd see how 'exciting' it is when he wakes up in a mangled heap.

But yes. There is a fight going on. Figuring that a weird attack angle might be best, Masami moves in again. He calls up the energy he can, Kazuya may or may not sense it -- for all his outward calmness, Masami's giving this one his all. He might not present a great showing, but he is at least taking this seriously. No poking or 'feeling him out'. This is an all-out attack.

His body seems to alight with a crackling, golden-orange aura as he moves in for another attack. He lifts up his forward leg, turning it outward and then overhead in a circle -- a circular axe kick, but with enough force to leave him hitting the ground in the splits at the end of it.

It was like a machine gun, before Kazuya drops his guard, looking upon the boy who was so foolish to fight him. Sure, Kazuya trued to end the fight fast, but he failed to take the information that this kid could have some willpower on him.

"Not bad. You can still stand. No wonder people wish for the minds of a child." Some more psychological warfare, before he senses it.

This kid can wield Chi?! and he's fast! Soon enough, Kazuya's head is sharply pointing downward as Masami lands a hard hit!!

But it definitely hurt him. Kazuya suddenly though looks straight at Masami, and he'll feel tgis...Dark energy coming straight for him!! A chi blast.

He extends his hands forward in a open palm blast: Devil Blaster! to try and blast him away!

Masami actually gives a small, grim smirk at those words. "I have heard ignorance is bliss," he counters. Though the smirk does fall away, with a surprised look, when that dark energy starts to gather. He tries to raise his arms, but it's too little, too late. The dark energy collides with him, and he gives a yelp of surprise and pain as he's thrown back. Down again, looks like.

And then UP again! Though this time he's a little slower to rise -- instead of a nimble kick to his feet, this time he pushes himself back to his feet, wobbling as he gets to his stance again. Not going down that easy, it looks like. That said? He looks like if he goes down again he's probably going to STAY down. The wince is obvious, and that might be blood oozing slowly from the corner of his mouth. Brave? Stupid? Doesn't matter. He's still going, for however long.

Though, Masami knows that's probably not going to be very long that much is evident when he advances again. Once more his body glows with that crackling, gold-orange aura as he darts towards Kazuya. And it's very definitely an all-out attack! It's a string of attacks -- a roundhouse kick, two knee kicks, a backflip kick, and another one of those circular split kicks!

...Well, that's the PLAN, anyway. It is entirely likely that Kazuya will avoid some or all of it. It LOOKS impressive, anyway.

Kazuya knocks this kid right down...and now he seems to turn around half-way only for him to pause when he hears the leaves rustling. He stands yet again.

Kazuya almost seems to smirk. This kid reminds him of him.

Then comes the fury. Play time is over. Kazuya just...stands tgere, and takes every single strike. And oh geez it hurts a LOT. But Kazuya feeds off the pain. He endures. When it's all finished and the dust clears? He takes his right hand and clenches it tight. He lunges forward-!

His hands brimmed with the hellish energy of darkness....but he doesn't attack.

"Is that all?"

COMBATSYS: Kazuya gathers his will.

Masami knows what's going on here. His attack is just feeding into Kazuya's strength. Which means that when he DOES finally pop that balloon he's inflating, it's probably going to blow Masami away!

Break his focus. That's all Masami can think of to do -- try to break his focus, try to prematurely pop that balloon. Sudden inspiration strikes, and Masami gets an idea. This is either going to work... or Kazuya is going to have even MORE reason to kick his ass! Why? Because as Masami darts in while Kazuya's gathering his strength...

...He aims a kick right at Kazuya's groin. Yup. Breaking the bro code pretty egregiously there. Furthermore, if he can manage to connect, he'll try to hook his foot underneath the other man's leg, and then try to flipkick Kazuya off his foot.

COMBATSYS: Kazuya interrupts Money Shot from Masami with Glorious Demon God Fist.

Masami barely as timr to lift his leg before he gets close-handed punches faster tgan lightning ALL OVER HIS BODY.

If this kid gets back up.

But Kazuya knows when he's won...and this is one of those moments. "Good try kid."

[MASAMI]
The first thought that enters Masami's mind as that barrage of punches impacts?

('Yep. Totally deserved that.')

Masami flies back from the barrage, skidding across the forest floor when he finally lands. His body twitches, as if he's trying to push himself up again... and then falls still. He's down for the count this time. He's gotta be. Kazuya has about enough time to turn around fully before...

...Crackle.

"HrrrrrrAAAAAAAAA!"

The calm is gone, his face pinched into an expression of pain and effort. This time, his charged body flies into a series of spinning, upward roundhouse kicks that somehow manage to ascend higher and higher into the air with each spin. At least... that's the INTENTION. The move is ill-aimed, from doubled vision and a wobbly stance, but damned if he's not still trying.

Of course... succeed or fail, whether Kazuya strikes back or not, Masami's going to fall out of the air with a thunk. And he's not getting up this time.

Kazuya kept moving forwards, and the battlecry causes him to pause, strikes thrown, and Kazuya turns half-way.

Kazuya blocks every kick with his arm.

Then he watches the kid fall down.

KO

Then? Kazuya makes a phone call. Masami will wake up in his room at home. Was it a dream? The sheer bodily pain would say no.
