Match of the Millennium

Description: Pilgrim Hinata and Clown Koto are present for a Thanksgiving meal in Nevada when the owners of the Clown Motel ask for a fight for the entertainment. The two high school students work to put on a show for fun!

Thanksgiving Meal Buffets at hotels are probably just a bit... weird. Especially at a freaking CLOWN HOTEL. Koto's currently, for some reason, dressed up as a clown. No one's sure who talked him into it, but he's sitting off to one side having been somehow talked into this insanity.

And well, it is a bit insane, but honestly? Koto doesn't look at all like he's having fun! The only really weird thing is that he's bouncing one of those red rubber noses in hand as he waits for the okay to sit down and eat. Seriously, holiday travels just to see Nevada and the gambling city and somehow he's here.

Then again, at least the clown bit looks funny on him. Somehow someone has made it some sort of native american sorta themed look to him. Although in all the wrong colors. Who would wear bright yellow chaps, let alone that multi-colored vest over an ugly maroon shirt for that matter? Oh, and a single feather in a head band around his head, too.

[HINATA]
"Eeh? It's not complimentary?" Hinata Wakaba asks, her cheeks bulging with food as she sits at the long motel brunch buffet thing, stuffing her face. She was on a short trip to America in search of challengers to prepare her for the Neo-League, and had stopped over in this weird motel over night. Now, before she can set out, she's being informed that the food is for the spectators for some kind of come-as-you-please fighting exhibition that was advertised and she didn't know about.

Lucky!

Well-fed, somewhat well-rested (the clowns and dolls are kind of disturbing and made sleeping difficult), she heads over to the area where her opponent is waiting. She isn't dressed up or anything, just wearing her standard Japanese school girl uniform and looks askance at Koto when she encounters him. "I hope no one was expecting me to dress up. I didn't bring anything like that."

Koto shrugs, "Eh... glad I can change this easily enough, then..." He takes a quick stance.

Then he does what has to be the weirdest thing. He moves his hands near his hips, then raises his left hand cross-wise before him and swings it across slowly. "Henshin!"

A prismatic glow surrounds him before leaving him changed into what looks like one of those Japanese tokusatsu heroes no less. Well, at least he's not a clown any more, right!?

[HINATA]
"Amazing~! You're like a magical girl~!" Hinata says when she sees the sparkly transformation. "I can't do anything like that, but even without sentai powers, I'll accept your challenge. I need to get stronger after all, and fighting an enchanted clown seems like the perfect way to do so!" She clenches her fist determinedly and with great seriousness. Then she charges into the fray, and... Tries to leapfrog over Koto!? Then she kicks backwards with both feet to attempt to hurl him away!

Finishing the transformation, Koto was about to do some pose perhaps, but well... he's suddenly got a school girl leaping over him. He twists as he falls downwards to avoid the leaping, and brings both hands up even as he takes a step or two back.

"Hey! I resent that! I prefer tokusatsu, not magical girl!" He replies to her comment.

Then steps to the side, and brings his hands up, a wide stance that he suddenly shifts into a spin as he brings one leg low, releasing a wave of the same stuff that turned him into his current form as a wave of prismatic looking energies. Immediately afterwards, he spins upwards into the finish of a wheel kick with a second wave, both of which designed to send Hinata flying hopefully!

W-whoah! Hinata blocks the powerful sweep of energy by crouching down and turtling, and then leaps up and backwards to move with the momentum as two more waves crash into her. She spins end over end through the air in a backwards somersault, before landing and springing back into melee immediately afterwards. She's like a human dynamo. The more she moves the more energy and speed she can bring to bear. So instead of holding still after taking potent energy attacks, her response is to keep pushing her own attack!

She lashes out with a high, quick kick aimed at Koto's chin. She's 11 inches shorter than her opponent, but she can //really// do the splits to stretch her legs out forcefully!

"Sorry! I'll keep that in mind!" she replies cheerfully while she strikes.

Coming out of the wheel kick, Koto rises to his feet only to be met by a kick to the chin. His arms were out of position for the attack, but not for a follow up at least.

Bringing his hand around, he returns the kicking favor by attempting to do a quick knee aimed at her midsection, followed by his leg snapping out to try to push her away so he can assume a stance again. This time the stance is more closed in, and his hands are more in fists than before as he shakes his head from the chin kick. Tilting his head a bit, he finally asks, "Hey, are you actually a school girl?"

Hinata gets knee'd in the mid-section and then swept away with a kick. She lets out a 'oof!' of air from the former, but only stumbles off balance for a moment from the latter, before leaping up into the air and wheezes out, "Yeah, I'm a student at Taiyo High! *cough* Why do you ask...?" as she fires shoots off her feet at Koto by kicking really hard down at him while in midair.

She seems to have spare shoes already on after the other two are launched.

Koto brings his hands up, blocking the shoes at least with his forearms. At least one of them. The other smacks his forehead slightly. "I'm from Pacific High!" He mentions.

"Dragon Emperor!" He calls out as his stance loosens, then one hand swings around backwards and forward in a big circle. It might look funny, but the cascading wave of that same prismatic energy probably isn't so funny as it's headed right for her.

Hinata gets hit with an emperor who rules over dragons! Or maybe it's a dragon who is an emperor? Actually, it's a prismatic energy wave, but either way, it hurts even through Hinata's block. She gets pushed backwards, sneakers so recently kicked off digging into the ground as the attack crashes into her crossed forearms, dazzling the audience while they eat. When Hinata stops, the parking lot or whatever they're fighting on has skid marks on it and smoke rising from the tracks and Hinata's arms both.

"That's some serious punch you have, Pacific High-guy! Let me show you some of mine!" Hinata says this while charging in and unleashing a combo of punches, before surging upwards in a spinning rising uppercut that trails fiery Chi!

Perhaps Koto is in the wrong stance to deal with... well, human dynamos punching his face in pretty much! The punches hit quite hard, and despite trying to fend them off, he ends up getting knocked into the sky by the uppercut.

Landing on his backside nearer her, he does a quick kick of his legs, then a twist of them before spinning up to his feet. The weird part throughout it is that shiny prismatic energy is back, this time forming some sort of winged dragon's head under him as he gets back to his feet. The movement doesn't stop once he gets himself back up, however, as that glow seems to shrink down to encompass his back shin as he assumes that tighter stance again.

"Eh, that's nothing. Try this! THUNDER KICK!" Then he swings his leg, knee first before snapping out the prismatic covered leg at Hinata's side. Said prismatic energy unleashes an explosion at the end of the kick, a loud boom like thunder coming from it.

They should probably stop telegraphing their attacks to each other. But they're young, and probably still amateurs, so the showboating is part of the fun for them. Even so, in this case, it doesn't work out in Koto's favor, as Hinata leaps up, curls into a ball, and the kick slashes through the air directly beneath her feet. She lands in a crouch and then spins around, skirts swirling, like a cloth fan, to lash out with a potent but slow-moving wind-up punch. She doesn't have words to say this time, instead just putting all her effort into the punch and letting out a kiai, a battle cry, as she drives her fist forwards!

The spinning Hinata is something to see, at least, but Koto ends up with that foot missing and spinning himself around even as he notices her incoming punch. Crouching down, however, he uses the punch to help himself get airborne... and where did all that glowing prismatic energy come from this time? Probably that big, almost intimidating winged dragon head symbol behind him. That now has BOTH legs encompassed in that energy.

"RAIJIN RYU!" This time he comes down with an axe kick, with similiar effects if not for the fact that he's got a follow up flip kick aimed at her chin in retaliation for the punches to his own chin at least. Only his might hit a biiit harder than just uppercuts and lighter kicks.

Hinata cries out in pain as she is punched super duper omega really hard! She gets sent hurtling backwards, hitting the ground on her back and skidding, before eventually coming to a stop. Woozily, she handsprings off the ground, twirling her legs above her head while she's upside-down so that she can turn about to face her opponent, and then putting her sneakers back to the ground.

"Wow! You really are strong. What was your name again? I'm Hinata Wakaba!" She takes a moment to breathe in and out, trying to sort out the pain in her jaw, and the aches and bruises all over from the wear and tear of battle. She's not running out of energy, she's just trying to make her head stop spinning. She needs to at least be able to tell which of the images in her vision is her target before attacking.

Once she determines that, she's off and running again! Only this time, she skids to a stop, possibly right in melee range with her opponent, and releases a big ball of Chi from her hands. It doesn't travel very far, more or less beginning and ending at the distance between the two of them, but if it hits, it may be slightly ouchie. "KIKOU SHOUTEI!"

Bringing his arms up to block again, Koto experiences what it's like to leave skid marks on the floor now, even if it's not as long as hers as the blast of chi causes him to give a groan in pain. That big ball of chi really hurt it looks like. Even his costume's singed now from what can be told, and smoking lightly.

Pushed away from her, he steps back a few more steps before bringing his hands up to the crest on his 'helmet'. And weirdly enough, a prismatic colored copy of the crest of the helmet is pulled off. He pauses for a second, looking at her. "I'm Koto Mukai."

Then he unleashes his own return projectile as he calls out, "J-Slugger!" The odd projectile is thrown and sent at Hinata with it trailing a literal rainbow like prismatic wave behind it.

Was it overconfidence that made Hinata try to dodge in such close proximity instead of blocking? Was it the just a moment of indecision that cost her with such short time to react? It's hard to say, but what's known is that the resulting hit demolishes her, driving Hinata into the ground, fraying the edges of her clothing in the maelstrom of energy, and leaving her teetering back and forth once she gets to her feet again. She's full of energy, but her momentum has been halted, and that means her energy is rapidly decreasing.

She won't be able to get back into her groove again in this fight. The best she can do is to unleash all that she has left in a single burst.

She leaps into the air, extends a leg and begins to spin, twirling like a top in mid-air and trailing fiery Chi in her wake so that she becomes like a living tornado of flame, all the while shouting as she descends upon her opponent. "RASEN ENBUKYAKU!!!"

Koto is able to at last bring the projectile back around and save himself from being thrown too badly. Still, it's obvious for one thing even as he attempts to use his arms and the projectile, which ends up being sent at the turkey somehow and cutting it once before spinning back to try to take the assault.

The spinning fiery top finally breaks through the guard as he ends up backed away, then knocked down with a final kick to the head that ends up with him detransformed... oh, and that cool indian feather costume piece is now crispy, along with most of the outfit. At least the horrible outfit will go, right!?

Still, Koto passes out knowing he gave it his all... and seriously hoping she doesn't mention the slugger thing being similar to another fictional character's.
