Match of the Millennium

Description: While seeking more clues around Taiyo High, Ayane stumbles again on the heroic lad she helped at the infirmary.

[AYANE]
The amounth of students in the schools of Southtown was astonishing. At least, it gave Ayane a hard time to find the person she had been looking for. It left her to aimlessly wander, seeking clues, whispers of rumors about the chestnut haired girl she was looking for.

To others it seemed like another one of those delinquent Gedo thug was looking out for trouble where she shouldn't be. That stern, cold expression on her face enough to keep most students from looking her up as she roamed around the campus.

[KOTO]
While he may not be exactly who she is looking for, at least Ayane can easily spot someone. Koto is apparently visiting Taiyo high for the moment. While not a deliquent, he's out of his student uniform and in more casual clothes as he seems to be studying something in his hand.

The fact that he walked right into Taiyo is probably not a good thing considering he is from Pacific High, but well... he's obviously intent on something or other as if trying to figure something out. He even looks upwards, studying the rooftops it seems as his face has a frown on it before shaking his head and turning to walk back towards the entrance of the school.

[AYANE]
It didn't take long for Ayane to spot Koto making his way into the campus. Her keen awareness from years of training allow her to notice any form ot new threat around her with relative ease and while Koto wasn't a threat right now, he certainly stood out a little.

A smirk crosses her lips as she approaches and leans against a tree on the campus ground, "Look who's got a death wish ~" The girl says. She folds her arms in front of her chest, turning her eyes away.

[KOTO]
That has Koto turning his head. He raises an eyebrow at Ayane. "Oh, it's you."

A small shrug is given, "I do not have one. Simply curious on something. I believe I have lost the trail, however, or whatever you wish to call it." Sighing, he turns his hand over to let a small bunch of black feathers drop from his hands as he turns to walk past Ayane.

[AYANE]
Ayane arches a brow and she straightens herself as Koto reveals the black feathers in his hand. She stares at his hand, then at Koto, dubiously, "You were tracking birds?" She asks. A soft chuckle escape her throat and she shakes her head, "Ahah, you're full of surprises..."

She rests her hands on her hips and walks a bit closer, tilting her head to assess the boy's body, "Didn't take you long to recover from the beating you took the other day... I saw a picture of you in the newspaper," She admits, "Still going at it?"

[KOTO]
Koto rolls his eyes, "It was not a natural bird." He smiles. "Well, I do have the abilities to help. Being a hero is not exactly easy at times, at least the Neo League is helping my skills to progress."

Koto raises an eyebrow. "So what is so dangerous about this place? I know it was a good deal central during that whole Justice High plot, but... otherwise, it does not seem that dangerous."

[AYANE]
"Not a natural bird?" Ayane asks, suspicious. The teenager strides over to him to inspect the feather more closely and she shakes her head, "Tsss, you're silly ~ what else could it be, eh?" Ayane laughs and she lifts her hand up to ruffle the boy's hair before she lets go.

Ayane takes a few steps away from him, a smile curling on her lips at the thought, "I am?" She offers, "There's plenty of dangerous students roaming the schools... You don't want to mess with us.."

[KOTO]
Koto rolls his eyes. "Please? You? Dangerous? Naah.." He shakes his head at that, reaching up to pat his hair back into something like what it was.

"And it is not... I believe it may have been a DarkStalker, but I lost track of it. It was going that way." Koto points off at what seems to be a random direction. "I... umm... well, it is a bit weird, but... it steals things, or acquires them."

He looks frustrated. "What am I saying? You will probably think I'm insane or making things up like the others."

[AYANE]
Hearing Koto's reply, Ayane snorts and she gives him a vitriolic glare, her body tensing up a little. She buffs her chest a bit, as if trying to look more intimidating and there was something about her like a fierce wolverine... But a tiny, small wolverine albeit. "Yeah, you're right... Girls.. Tsss... A bunch of weaklings,"

Ayane shrugs and adds, "Back in my village, there were legends about bird people... Evil spirits that were banished, with crow-like wings... They were called Tengu, but that's just stories you tell a child to scare them," Ayane grins, "You believe in legends like that?"

[KOTO]
Koto raises an eyebrow at Ayane. "Considering I was brutally beaten by a girl a few weeks ago, I did not mean them specifically."

At the topic of tengu and legends around them, Koto seems to consider. "To be honest? I do. It is a bit... strange, but after seeing things like the DarkStalkers, and having the abilities I do? You do stop wondering what is legend and what is myth these days. Maybe even consider that you are just doing what you can to help others survive whatever crawls into the spotlight next."

[AYANE]
Ayane frowns at Koto and she heaves a soft sigh, "They don't exist. Period..." Ayane can't help but let a disdainful chuckle escape her throat, "The powers you have?" She tilts her head to one side, "Look... You seem to take it upon yourself to save everyone, but you shouldn't. They don't deserve it..." She says bitterly. "Because in the end, nobody's going to save your hide when you need them."

[KOTO]
Koto blinks a few times, then shakes his head. "I do not try to save everyone. If I did, I would not be better than others who abuse their power and think what they do is 'right' in their own heads."

Sighing, Koto looks down, rubbing the back of his head. "Listen, you seem like a nice girl, but... what are you so concerned with me? First helping me off the beach, and now trying to make me stop being a hero?"

[AYANE]
Ayane blinks, a dumbfounded expression on her face at his last statement, ".. What? I'm not concerned about you," The girl regains her composure and turns her head away, folding her arms in front of her chest, "Bah! No, no, go on... Be a hero, please... There's plenty of damsel in distress, kitty in trees and old people who needs, no, deserves a hero!" Ayane waves her hands in the air a bit and she says, "I mean, it's not like there's a ton of them around, isn't there? I wonder why is that..."

[KOTO]
That has Koto blinking a few times. Then he grins a bit, "Aw, you do care." He says simply, looking at her. "And please, not everything is like the whole saving damsels or getting cats from trees." He folds his arms, rolling his eyes. "Besides, who knows what could have happened at the mall, for example? I was just there and saw them. Not like I am going to go seeking out stuff."

[AYANE]
Ayane's eyes widen when Koto grins and insists a faint blush spreading on her cheeks. She grits her teeth and gives him a glare, her hands clenching into fists, "Ah! Right, if anything happened to a perfect stranger, I'd be so inconsolable," She replies sarcasticly, "... Please, please, listen to reason and don't get involved into any trouble again!" She says with an exagerated pout.

Ayane shakes her head, "Bah! Don't let it get to your head.." She snorts. Ayane waves her hand dismissingly, ".. One day it won't end well for you," She shrugs, "... But if you don't want to listen to my advice, fine! Fine, I mean, why should I care?"

[KOTO]
Koto raises an eyebrow, then leans closer to look at her. "You're blushing." He comments.

Then he sighs and shrugs, "It's a bit strange, but in a way... thank you for caring. I know there might be something one day that I end up being well... in over my head, but it's why I enlisted in the Neo League and why I keep practicing as much as I can. To try to grow and to hopefully take down whatever tries to eventually take me down as well."

He shrugs, "I know you have a good heart at least, but I want to help others rather than sitting back and watching others do it. I guess that is why I am happy about my whole power and abilities."

[AYANE]
"No!" Ayane denies vehemently. When Koto leans closer to look, Ayane takes a step closer to him, hands resting on her hips and giving him a frigid glare. She leans in a bit closer and she points a finger at him, pressing her digit into his shoulder, harsh enough to be uncomfortable as he whispers in a harsh hoarse ton, "... And if you know what's good for you, you're not going to say that to me ever again,"

Ayane turns her head away and she turns on her heels, "Huh, yeah, whatever, I just came here looking for trouble," She shakes her head and slowly walks away from Koto, "Nah, I'm a nasty bitch and I'll rip your heart out," Ayane replies. The girl makes her way out, "I've wasted enough time here, see ya around, loser!"
