Match of the Millennium

Description: The Sacred Order intercepts a darkstalker making mischief at the Dream Amusement Park on the Ferris Wheel - with a darkstalker?

[LOTUS]
It's hiiiiiiiiiiigh noon at the Dream Amusement Park.

Families are out and about, children laugh and play, balloons pollute the air with their buoyant presence, while gals with cotton candy drag romantic partners around with the same glee as the smaller children.

One more pair of eyes is out and about as well. She LOVES crowds! The energy.... the scents and smells..... the way the gore splashes bystandards when you hit an artery.....

Lotus stops suddenly, wondering if she was thinking out loud again, then giggles with a hint of malice.

She MENT to think out loud!

Surveying the goings on from the middle of the crowd, hiding in plain sight you could say, she stands before her intended destination: the ferris wheel! She can pull it off before AAAAAAAAAAAANYone can show up to stop it! She heads towards the base of the ride, which is slowing to a stop, eyeing the guy operating the control panel on the ground......

[PUKAI]
It was an effort for an outreach. Work to be done to prevent future outbreaks, assaults, and injuries. It was said the Command Gear had placed herself here before, before it was defeated. That was the story. For families, children, and all to be about - they would need to be protected.

Within the group, somewhat hard to see, was a member of the Sacred Order - a bell shaped hat atop her head, cyan, in stark contrast to the red Sacred Order outfit, rusty colored boots and other clothing. Eyes are open, but half lidded as she surveyed the area - a light yawn escaping her as she simply seemed to exist. A peace keeper of normal ranking and normal importance in the Sacred Order knights. Nothing special, not even the tri-tipped spear in her small hands that rests, blade first, towards the ground.

Lotus likely either didn't care, or didn't notice, her presence.

. . . "Why... am I here again?" She murmurs to herself silently, head tilting back and forth slowly, sweeping wide. It's not that she is disrespecting her duty... she just honestly doesn't remember. Yet she doesn't move from her position, save a few steps forwards. There is the faintest glimmer of light as she does, though it may be hard to notice. It was a bright and shiny day, and light tends to reflect. It was fine, however. The reason she was there would come to her. If she was there, it was for a reason.

Indeed, Lotus does not notice. She's too focused on her own intended hijinks!

As the wheel come to a stop, the operator allowing the riders in a car to exit so another group can enter, she makes her move! Leaping the small waist-high fence, Lotus LEAPS up, grabbing one of the large base polls, and like a bug effortlessly starts to scurry up! It doesn't take long for someone to notice, and within 30 seconds, several in the crowd are looking and pointing at the strange woman climbing up the side of the ferris wheel!

One step. Another. Almost in a trance, Pukai slowly makes her way through the crowd. It is with a sudden bump that the Sacred Order Knight's bell helmet? gently touches the persona infront of her. Eyes flickers open on reaction, head tilting up. They weren't supposed to stop, were they? Another seeker of fun stares upwards as well. Yet another joins. There are cries of disbelief, others of terror. At least one small child looks on, clapping - not understanding the situation.

Pukai's head tilts up, glancing towards the Ferris Wheel. Why was she here? That is a question that is answered upon Lotus' movement, scurrying up the side.

Shimmering sections about Pukai recoil and vanish, slight light about her growing more intense as the bits bulk up, allowing her to move once more. Boots pound the ground as she dashes forwards, staggering somewhat, flailing "Uw-wah!?" But finding purchase by crashing into a sudden pool that opens before her. Tumbling into it, she's shot out of it with a large undulating 'flap' of something about her, visible for a moment. Flipping head over heels once, the Sacred Order Knight lands before the Ferris Wheel, a few heavy strides as she slows herself down, coming to a stop before it.

"Attention! As a member of the Sacred Order, I declare to you this is your only warning! By the Goddess, I shall not let you harm those present!" She so decrees, raising her spear to acentuate her point.

If she doesn't... already, something begins to move, expand outwards from Pukai. Barely visible in the light present, the small girl's light begins to dim, the gentle cyan light that was about her seeming, almost, to spread.

Finally reaching the giant meeting point for the legs on this side, where they connect to the large wheel itself and hold it anchored as well as allow it to turn, Lotus looks down at the person calling up at her

Crap. She'd hoped no one was around, and a Sacred Order knight? Lovely..... a darkstalker too! WONDERFUL!

The response Pukai gets is a feral grin as intense cat-slitted eyes lock onto her, along with a middle finger "Come stop me then, little sister!". With that, Lotus jumps into the web of metal pipes that make up the body of the wheel itself, leaping between them as she crosses to the other side from where she climbed up!

The feral grin is all Pukai needs to know. The Goddess is with her. The people, to be protected. Lotus' response is not without expectation. A middle finger, however, is more direct. "Don't you -!" The words don't mean anything as she disappears towards the body of the wheel itself. Dangerous. The unknown darkstalker above is something she could imagine would be hard to lock down, to pin down - but she wouldn't be able to from where she was. Climbing would take too much time, as well.

Boots kick together as she takes a deep breath and hops. The ground underneath her vanishes momentarily, a pool of murky water that erupts a moment later, a pillar of water sending Pukai shooting upwards, angling towards the Ferris Wheel. It looks like it is too far, at first, Pukai a few feet away from arm length towards the metal frame. "I am no little sister to the likes of you!" Is her claim, though it seems like she is about to fall back to earth.

Lotus' darkstalker assessment is quite clear, and made more certain, as bioluminescent light about her ripples. For a brief moment, Lotus would see what she is dealing with. Tendrils, seemingly not there, lash out towards the frame and wrap, pulling Pukai along-side it. More slide through the air, grasping beyond Lotus, pulling the smaller darkstalker forwards once more - as the hair about her head bends towards Lotus instead of trailing. Extending, writhing, aiming to wrap around the offending darkstalker, tipped with chi like stingers, as the actual head of the Sacred Order Knight closes in for a headbutt with her momentum.

Bounding from pole to pole, Lotus erks as tenticles grasp her by the ankle just as she goes for another leap! More wrap around pars of her, the sting setting in quite quickly. However, Lotus, being not quite in her right mind (or left mind for that matter), twists her body so she is facing Pukai as she approaches "We're ALL brothers and sisters. You just have forgotten! How SAD!". With that, as she closes into range, Lotus breaks free an arm, slides a long pointy stiletto into her palm, and flings it at Pukais face!

The long pointy stiletto that is slide into the woman's palm is met with Pukai's charge. Spinning around - the tendrils begin to grow closer to Lotus, aiming to wrap about her moreso. The spear is raised upwards as the Sacred Oorder Knight charges in mid air - and a portal behind her spews another surge of water - deluging forwards to give her a sudden boost. "You and I .... are Nothing alike!"

It clouds her mind. Her actions are hardly the most efficient, the best planned.

The stilletto is enough to dissuade her as it crashes into her face - tendrils letting go of Lotus, or giving the woman enough time to free herself from them. Meanwhile, the stiletto buries itself between her eyes, unmoving as she swings to the side, one of the tendrils letting go - before she lands on one of the cars.

She's hardly a spider man. Hardly able to use the 'battlefield' as best as the crawler in the terms of movement.

"Go-Goddess give me strength... That this darkstalker may understand ... That I ...." Yet there is an oddity after, eyes staring at Lotus almost blankly as she looks on. Blinking twice, there is no response afterwards - even after the spike stays where it impacted her. Bioluminescent energy hovers about her - and elsewhere. Translucent tendrils hanging against parts of the Ferris Wheel as it had stopped moving. She wouldn't have to worry about herself being taught.

Was she broken?

[LOTUS]
Taking advantage of the momentary lapse in Pukais movements, Lotus slips herself out of the tendrils holding her, the burning toxic damage from them being partially negated by her bodies healing capabilities.

With a blur of speed, Lotus leaps between several poles, cutting at swathes of the tenticles in the hopes of reducing the attack capabilities of her opponent particularly in such an enclose dspace "I'd almost say you were very pretty, if you weren't trying to kill me! TEEHEEEEEEEEEEHEE!"

Lotus' movements, to cut, shear, tear off the tendrils about are particularly effective in the current situation. On the backend, Pukai is unable to throw up enough of an offense to dissuade it, and a few are cut before others begin to reel backwards - wiggling and falling, translucently, to the ground below. The light fading from them. It hurts - it most certainly does - but it is nothing the Sacred Order did not suggest that she has not previously accepted as an attempt to cure her curse, atone for her sins. Whatever they may have been.

It didn't help.

It does today. Though they are cut, the empty eyes stare at Lotus. The pain is phenomenal, brief surges of pain before a low persisting hum of what once was. "Mm..?" Eyes opening once more to stare at a lack of tendrils on part of her. Wide eyes meeting Lotus as she shakes her head, "... come again?" Yet with such a question, the answer is still clear. Lotus is assaulting her. A monster.. Should not /be/ here, and is currently laughing, high pitched. Just as Lotus may recover, some of the tendrils not cleanly cut begin to reconnect - one or two that she slashed through to begin with, laying low, though persisting.

The spear is twirled as she kicks off the platform of the car, body undulating in tandem as she kicks off to send her off in a clean - slow - strike. Almost as if to impale Lotus with the end of the spear with the power that may be behind it!

Unfortunately, even with her inhuman agility, at the speeds shes moving Lotus is unable to effectively dodge at certain times.

This is one of them!

As she leaps off a pole, the spears point impales her through the lower left side, coming out her back!

Lotus only grins, bleeding freely.... at least, for a few moments. The bleeding stops quickly, and the wound already appears to be closing around the shaft of the weapon!

Lurching back, Lotus kicks off, pushing herself off the weapon, keeping the wound open longer, BUT better than being stuck to it!

With another leap, she closes once more, the wound seeming to have done nothing to slow her! She slices twice real fast, before leaping to another pole, then another, then another, slicing and stabbing at Pukai as she goes with lightening speed!

The superhuman speed, inhuman agility, and the speeds that Lotus are at have been expected.

She leaps off the pole. Tendrils, that have been dormant, rise up to pull her back down. The strike wasn't slow by accident. The strike was slow to bait the prey into the net.

The spear of three points stops in Lotus' chest. The darkstalker grins, bleeding - as it begins to close around the weapon. Freely bleeding as Lotus is, the wound , already closing, opened once more as she was stuck to the spear. "Of course..." Pukai declares, shaking her head, as Lotus closes in once more. Tendrils move once more, twisting around, as Lotus closes the distance. The wound does not slow her, does not dissuade the moments of a predator. This is why Pukai is here. This is why she fights.

The spear is once more raised upwards - and the blade tears into her. Pukai doesn't seem to be able to move. Doesn't seem able to prevent the assault. Each and every strike tearing into her. There doesn't seem to be a defense.

There isn't one. As Lotus dives in the last time, Pukai's reaction, moving into the assault, is clear. Bubbles erupt outwards from her form, as small little jellyfish follow - all of them from the darkstalker borne chi, leading towards Lotus' strike. From her movements, diving over and over again, she may have left herself open. The strikes from the woman bleed out Pukai, even as it races to reconsistute itself, but the threat to Lotus is the same - as those small jellyfish have stingers of their own as they seek to attach to her.

Yet Pukai seems to fall back aftwards, shooting away.

Perhaps still very close to Lotus.

Lotus peers at the smaller jellyfish "Aaawwww.... " as one gets close, she actually tries to hold it, not fully realizing its chi "so cuOW!". With a short hop, careful to keep her balance on the metal pole beneath her, she draws a pair of small daggers, and begins swatting and blocking the little things out of the air as they close. The ones she is forced to swat with her arms still sting a bit, but not as much as that first one. "Totally need a plushie of that..... HA!". The grin returns, and she LEAPS at the retreating Pukai, weapons raised, as she sends a combo of dagger strikes at the opposing darkstalker!

Meanwhile, below, the occasion has brought about quite a crowd! The operator of the ferris wheel has left it offline, for fear of what damage might occur if its moving while they fight. Folks in the cars watch in fear, worried they may be hurt. Folks below shout and watch as the two darkstalkers go at it!

Tendrils lash out from behind Lotus, almost a cage of them - and those not cleaved off from her strikes agaisnt the jellies persist. As Pukai moves, more of the battlefield is draped with her stingers. The small jelly stings Lotus, who reacts with swatting and clearing them. Pukai sadly nods her head. "I have a few on me." She answers, "I will be sure one of them get to you after you have been properly restrained and are accounted for, for your actions. You will not persih today... but you will not harm any of the innocents present!" She stalwartly declares. Lotus is bearing down on her quickly, a combo of dagger strikes swung her way. The first one is knocked aside with a clash of the spear at long distance, Pukai finding herself on the edge of the car, teeting as Lotus closes the distance.

Kicking off the edge, Pukai billows as she rises to the next car.

The crowd below is a problem, Pukai feels. "Please, everyone! Those that can, do not stay nearby!" The Sacred Order robes billow under the translucent dress - yet Pukai lands, some of the 'tails' of the dress had remained nearby Lotus. Clad in bows at the base, they may be mistaken as cute add-ons.

This isn't true at all.

The more flowery and edged tendrils, larger than the rest, grasp for Lotus, intending to slam her against the side of the car she leaps to and drag her up along it, almost forcing Lotus to follow the fight where Pukai wants it to be fought. Bioluminescene trails across the battlefield, but with so much of it around, Lotus may have trouble finding which is which. It only seems to get worse. "Don't you understand what you are doing? The Goddess sees all of us equal... but then for you to prey on others... I cannot allow it!"

Glancing Blow

Despite Pukais slow creep, Lotus is still managing to keep herself a step ahead due to a mix of skill and raw inhuman speed, the latter in particular. She almost makes it on her latest attempt to move around their battlefield, a few of the tendrils wrapping around her arms. However, she tears herself free before they can do more than sting her skin.

Angling herself correctly, she grins maniacly as she pulls out several small throwing daggers, the tips dripping with venom "Whos gonna take it.... you? or the folks BELOW you? LETS SEE! HAAAAAHAHAHA!" A hail of these small poisoned projectiles are sent flying towards Pukai, and any that miss? Well, Lotus positioned herself so a good portion of the crowd is opposite her, so THEY get the brunt of any extra stragglers! How dangerous is this poison, one has to wonder? Just what will Pukai do?

The tendrils are torn away from as Lotus keeps ahead of the assault. Tearing herself free and moving to where she /needs/ to be, Lotus has managed to avoid the imprisonment and trapping that Pukai has tried to do. To keep the others safe. To minimize what the other Darkstalker can do - and to bring the battle to a close. It would be a slow, grinding close - but a close.

Lotus doesn't seem interested in that. Not at all. Several small daggers, all of them dripping with poison. Eyes widen once more - rather it is in a blank stare or in deblief, it is not certain. Her mouth gapes open, but closes, her body rippling - undulating. "It's obvious who has to." She answers before those projectiles are send flying towards her. Her dress flares, as does the cap on her head, as she throw her arms outwards - making herself as large as possible.

If she was given this body, then this chance was one of the many she would use it for. The daggers come. Each and every one pierce into her body - spreading the poison. It immediately affects her. tendrils, seemingly hidden behind Lotus, become so very obvious as they droop.. Other bits around her fail to rise. The battle may be all but over.

"Good...." She so declares, "You should know ... what I am willing... to give." She exclaims, breathing out heavily as she focuses to even move, to keep her mind straight. "To not be you. To never be LIKE you. The .. difference..." The spear lunges forwards, lancing with as much speed as she can muster, towards Lotus' frame.

Due to the actions of Pukai, the folks on the ground are saved from whatever threat they may have been under, her larger form stopping all the daggers cold!

A cackle is the response from Lotus "HA! All *I* did was climb UP here. YOU threw the first attack! At the moment i've technicly been defending myself". Her tilts her head with a toothy grin, showing her fangs "Though i do admit to liking sushi, and you slice up SO nicely!". She giggles to herself again, before racing forwards with two large knives drawn, which she tries to drive deeply into Pukais body!

The poison is doing her worst. "Shut your VILE m-mouth!" Pukai proclaims, a bit of venom at her mouths - perhaps even literately based on the situation. "All you did was climb here.. but why did you...!" The woman continues, tendrils snaking off her head, writhing down from her form as she grasps her spear as best she can. As she moves to thrust the spear up into Lotus - instead, the two large knives drive deeply into her body - the poison momentarily pausing her actions, slowing her movements just enough to get them through her attempted spearing.

"I do not fear... for in the name of the Goddess... this is my duty." She coughs, but doesn't fall over - even as the damage from before still surges in and through her, slowly eating away at her. Pulling herself off the daggers, Pukai doesn't fal, though she may stagger. "You're saying that your mouth full of teeth, and daggers of v-venom are just '/props/'. Your actions already have spoken for you, and I will not be deceived... if you were to claim this before, maybe then..."

[LOTUS]
"HEEEEEHEEHEE! Silly. I ALWAYS carry my stuff with me! Its a dangerous world, jellybean! Besides, i'm not gonna kill you regardless..... that'd be no fun! If i kill ya....." she leeeeeeeeans in close to Pukais face ".... ya won't LEARN nothin!". With a laugh she attempts to pull a 300, and kick Pukai in the midsection and send her falling off the wheel! She makes sure to aim the kick for the small playform along the side of the spokes, so it wouldnt be a lethal fall regardless. She stops and ponders "Whats WRONG with my teeth? They are quite nice!" before the usual mad mirth returns, and she bites back an intense laughing fit...

With a glare, the Sacred order Knight's eyes never leave Lotus' form, even as she leans against the spear. She wouldn't retreat, that much is clear, and wouldn't simply let this thing do what she needs, or wants, to. "If you ... even could... By now, they'll come. Even IF you could... the Goddess... it would be in her plan." She glares out, even as Lotus grows close. Stinger bristle, body barely keeping focus. As the kick slams into Pukai, sending her toppling downwards, the girl does not go quietly.

The remains of the tendrils that follow her /would/. If Lotus was not careful, Pukai would not be alone as she toppled downwards, towards the next car.

Yet it might be surprising that she twists around, towards the ground, further, as she does. As her last act, if Lotus isn't careful, Pukai would not be falling alone towards the ground - and there was a portal opening up where she was going, 'water' roiling within it.

The tendrils latch on, refusing to let go of Lotus as she falls. Pukai can feel it. The body in her grasp as she plummets down. Pusing venom in her veins causing her mind to wander. Emotions running as she falls towards the ground, Lotus in tow - using her own body weight and momentum, and numbing jellyfish tendrils, to drag her along as she needs. Lotus would understand on the way down - as Pukai crashes into the sudden pool of water. Lotus would join her as well.

Within, what seems to be an angel - 'wings' and body lit by bioluminescent light. Eyes are closed, silent, long hair bowed in prayer.

It was not the only bioluminescence, as all around Lotus, it grows brighter. Jellyfish cling to each and all sides of her as from above, Pukai - barely recognizable, lets her whole body down. Inhuman, darkstalker for certain, completely translucent. Tendrils wrapping around, wrenching, and stinging every part of Lotus that is touched. "This is ... what you wanted of me... ISN'T IT! Why would I EVER... WANT... THIS?!" Somehow her voice travels in the 'area' they are, the tendrils tightening - before it all all ends, and eruption of chi - not just stinging, but numbing, before an eruption of water brigns a sudden end to everything, Lotus and Pukai geyser'd out, the Sacred Order Knight landing on her front - barely able to pull hself to a more human state as she lies on her front, thoroughly defeated.

[LOTUS]
To say Lotus gets taken on a wild ride is an understatement. Despite the pain, floating in the water, she looks at the true form of Pukai and smiiiiiiles madly "So.... beautiful..... sister.....". She partially blacks out as the explosion of chi and water erupts, doing immense damage! Her skin is clearly burned horridly in many places, discolored and bleeding in others.

Lotus coughs up a mouthful of water as she lands on the ground once more after the gyser, pulling herself to her feet as the damage already visibly begins to sloooowly rejuvinate itself. One eye is swollen shut as she grins at the prone form of Pukai on the ground "Nice.... try. Maybe next time. Can't..... do it now". She gets down reeeeeeal close, practicly whispering in Pukais ear "Lucky little jellybean.....". She stands back up, giggling to herself, which slowly becomes a maniacle laugh, then an outright cackle as she races off, the crowds still present parting fearfully as she passes!
