Caoimhe
"Fire in the hole!"
While many fighters can be said to bring explosive force to their fights, Caoimhe Delaney gives the turn of phrase a very literal showing. A young Special Forces Engineering Sergeant with a specialty in making things blow up, the Boston native confronts the enemies of her country with an array of explosive weaponry, knives, and her weapon of choice, a Remington 870 MCS. Recently, with the threat of fighters rising to the fore of national defense concerns, the Green Beret volunteered to assist in tackling this new threat, and she's not above using high-powered weaponry against these martial artists - not when they can bring the same force to bear against American interests with their own fists or force of will.

Background
By the time she graduated high school, she had already decided that she wanted to join the Army as a combat engineer. While she intended to pursue a degree in Chemistry (a goal she later achieved, earning a Master of Arts degree in four years at Boston University), the idea of using it to pursue a civilian career seemed too dull - and also lacking in opportunities to blow things up. Intending to challenge herself, she decided that she wanted to not only join the Army, but specifically wanted to join the Special Forces. She pursued her physical training relentlessly even through her stint at University in order to make sure she would be capable of making the cut, and after scoring highly on the ASVAB and achieving a perfect score on the Army Physical Fitness Test, she achieved her goal of getting into the Special Forces Qualification Course at Fort Bragg. She earned her place in the Special Forces as an Engineer Sergeant with a strong showing during the training process.
Though she proved as capable in the field as in training, willing to take risks to clear or place demolitions, her tour of duty did not proceed completely without a hitch. Several months into her first deployment after earning her 18C M.O.S., a demolition mission in Iraq went awry when an explosive detonation triggered by Caoimhe caused an unexpected chain reaction, resulting in possible civilian casualties - the resulting bodies were unidentifiable. To this day she is uncertain whether the excessive blast was caused by her own miscalculation, bad intel, or enemy action.
While the Army investigated the incident and chose not to pursue disciplinary action, and the mission was deemed an overall success, the incident has coloured her psyche. If anything, she is more focused than before, but also more reckless. The official report is that a hidden weapons cache was detonated by the explosion, and the unexpected casualties were insurgents. Of her unit, Caoimhe is the only one in doubt of the official report.
Looking to distance herself from the incident, she is interested in joining the military's initiative to deal with martial artist threats. The way she sees it, using high-powered weaponry against unarmed opponents is justified when those opponents have the powers associated with fighters and Darkstalkers and are willing to use them for evil.
