Lee Chaolan was adopted at a young age by Heihachi Mishima himself. He was meant to be a friend and rival to his new brother Kazuya, hoping that he would force the boy to grow strong and capable. Initially, he was to be given an equal chance at inheriting the Mishima Zaibatsu, but Kazuya's coup destroyed any hopes of that. Nevertheless, Lee was successful in starting his own company, Violet Systems. His level-headedness proved to be a valuable asset, but the company would never be that of his adoptive family's empire. With a bitter taste left toward his older brother, Lee plotted to take over the business one day. This was, again, deterred by Heihachi's return and his refusal to give up the Zaibatsu. Since then, Lee has become the majority stockholder of G Corporation, knowing that the sudden upheaval that led to the flood of available stocks had something to do with the recently "deceased" Mishima son.
