One of the greatest national heroes in his homeland, Russia, Zangief is quite possibly the world's greatest professional wrestler. Utterly massive in size, Zangief's body is a road map of scars, indicating the source of his titanic strength -- Training by fighting bears in the depths of Siberia. Extremely rough and tumble, Zangief's gruff nature is succeeded only by the immense pride he feels for Mother Russia. Though slow, his titantic strength is assisted by technical mastery of countless holds and grapples. Shares many moves with his American rival, Mike Haggar, and the two have maintained a rivalry for over a decade, despite having yet to face one another in the ring, or even meet face to face.
