Xander is an assertive and outspoken young man who aggressively imposes the dojo model he was drilled by onto the environment around him. Once a hellion and pickpocket that preyed on the weak, his long-suffering mother sent him in the care of Kojima Sengan, the owner of his own martial arts academy for troubled youths. There, Xander found himself tempered by the strict discipline offered through dedicated Kyokushin-Ryu Karate. For years, the teenager trained under the harsh but fair guidance of his sensei. When his Master disappeared in his final academic year, Xander chose to skip out on graduation to uncover his sensei's fate. Armed with the foundation of Kyokushin-Ryu, Xander fights with uncompromising power fueled by the so-called 'Spirit of the Phoenix' driven into each student. For Xander, this spirit recognizes that no matter what challenge you face, be it spiritually, physically or mentally, you must absolutely overcome it to achieve your goals. Even as a student, the intensity of this philosophy demanded not only harsh control of his own body, but of his opponent as well. While gregarious and eager to work with other people, even his fellow students found the karateka's impatience and stubborn sense of leadership to be overbearing. His primary goal is to raise his martial art's profile to draw out clues of his master's disappearance, though Xander at times seems more interested in taking over the legacy of his master. Despite the conflicts of his own rigid view of the world, Xander's intentions are noble and above all he seeks collaboration with others.
