Stonehenge, one of the biggest and best known monuments on the Earth. It attracts many tourists every year and is also the source of countless theories and mysteries about the whole thing. Many wonder where it came from, and many have ideas about what it's supposed to be. But that is not the reason that Stonehenge is in the spotlight today. No, today it's something far more active instead. It's a Neo Development Project fight.
And one of those fighters just happens to be Yuri, who is not only interested in the fight at hand, but is also fascinated with Stonehenge as well. While the rest of the crew is setting up and preparing for things, Yuri is looking around at the various stone formations that make Stonehenge what it is. "Wow, this is so totally cool!" Yuri says with a huge grin. "I'd so love to bring Robert here sometime. He'd really love it here, and we could do what we want together!" Apparently, Yuri has forgotten about the fight at hand for the time being.
Kazuki Kirigana looks around the momument, a look of concern on his face. He glances at the milling crowds as he slides the headphones off of his head. Yuri, with her famous name, might pull some crowds. Few, however, have really heard of Kazuki. Or the Kirigana dojo, for that matter. Well, it could be said that he's here to start fixing that. He nods slowly, sliding into a stance that betrays little of fighting style or methods but still manages to convey a sense of readiness.
"This place sounds weird," is all the young man says.

The phrase that Kazuki says is stated just as Yuri gets closer to where the fight is actually taking place again. Although it wasn't intentional, she nonetheless finds herself hearing the comment from Kazuki and she turns around to face him. She has an inquisitive look on her face, then she grins widely. "Hiiii! You must be my challenger!" Yuri says with a big grin on her face. "I'm Yuri Sakazaki, one of the best practitioners of Kyokugen Karate in the world! And I'm going to prove it to you in this fight!"
Yuri turns away to adjust her belt slightly, remembering the proper protocol within the dojo about facing away from the front when doing something like that, then she turns to face Kazuki again. "All right, I'm ready, now it's time to prove to you how cool Kyokugen is!" She literally jumps into her fighting stance, which looks like a standard style if it weren't for the fact that Yuri is occasionally bouncing on her heels at the same time.

After getting the signal from the referee to fight, Yuri actually doesn't move at all. Instead, she remains in her fighting stance, bouncing on her heels and keeping an eye on Kazuki. "Here, let me show you something really cool about Kyokugen! Watch this!" Yuri brings her arm back and then sends it thrusting forwards with a blast of energy aimed at Kazuki, while Yuri calls out, "Ko'ou Ken!"

Kazuki takes the brunt of Yuri's attack head-on, staggering back a step before regaining his bearings. "First the Todohs, now the Sakazakis," Kazuki mutters, turning an ear to the young woman. He sighs. J-Pop. Kazuki /hates/ J-Pop. "That is not difficult," the young man says in a more audible tone.
He pulls his right fist back, between his hip and his ribs. Wind spins around the fist before the young man fires a textbook thrust punch. The wind burst flares from his hand, lashing out at Sakazaki, kicking up a bit of dust in its wake!

"What do you mean with that comment about 'the Todohs and the Sakazakis?'" Yuri's quoted part is said with a very sarcastic tone of voice, obviously indicating she's not liking Kazuki already. "Just what the hell did WE do to you?!" Before she gets an answer, Yuri finds herself getting directly hit by Kazuki's projectile. She is hit directly in the stomach and doubles over as the blast hits her without any interruption. She holds onto her stomach and takes in a deep breath before blowing it out. After she regains her breath, Yuri looks up at Kazuki and says, "I don't care what you think about the Todohs, but you don't say ANYTHING about my family and get away with it!"
While continuing to recover from the impact, Yuri cracks her knuckles a little and narrows one eye at Kazuki. "Unless you were hiding some kind of secret compliment in there, I suggest you take back what you just said! Because now you've made me mad, and I'm afraid that I'm gonna have to do something..." As Yuri finishes her sentence, she rushes in and attempts to deliver a left hook while finishing off with, "...like THIS!"

Kazuki reaches for the punching arm, aiming to leverage the limb into a throw, but is a moment too slow. Something was just /odd/ about that strike. The punch catches him cleanly on the chin, causing Kirigana to rock with the blow. He turns a bit, and spits a wad of saliva and blood on the ground. Still J-Pop, he thinks as he regards Yuri with an even stare, even if a bit off-kilter now.
"Like I /care/ if you're angry or not," Kazuki mutters. "We're here to /fight/. You being happy or not doesn't matter."
"On the contrary!" Yuri snaps as she watches Kazuki spit onto the ground. That's not exactly a nice thing in Yuri's mind, but that's aside from the point now. "When I'm angry, I hit harder than I usually do, as you just saw! If you wanna win this fight, you better watch what you say to me!" The scowling Kyokugen fighter is showing quite a contradiction from how she was just a few moments ago definitely. For those who know Yuri, it's typical, but for those who don't, it makes her seem like she's bipolar or something similar in that vein.
"Since you obviously don't have any respect for me or my family, then you're obviously going to find yourself in a lot of pain and on the ground." And Kazuki should be glad that he's not voicing those comments about J-Pop, since Yuri loves that stuff, and insulting that would really make her mad. "Come on, show me what you're made of! Or are you all bark and no bite? Huh?!"

Kazuki frowns at the young woman thinking that she /is/, in fact, a bit bipolar. He has no verbal response to the young man, counting the beats for a moment as he funnels his chi to his right arm. Another measure, he thinks... /there/! The Gedo student steps in boldly, contrasting his movements with Yuri's inaction.
His right hand, covered in a faint green aura, lashes out for several points along the girl's flank, striking at multiple chakra points in an attempt to disrupt Yuri's chi and breathing!

Yuri may be scowling and glaring, but her eyes aren't as narrowed as they might be. Or, even if they are, that doesn't mean her senses aren't on high alert at all. In fact, as Kazuki comes at Yuri, she watches him carefully and as soon as he goes in for the strike, Yuri's hand is there to knock it away. It requires a little effort, but to Yuri right now, it doesn't really matter. She just wants to show Kazuki what she's truly made of.
"So, you're not talking, is that it?" Yuri asks, although her attitude seems to be softening a little to more of a sarcastic one. "Well, you do put up a good challenge with your attacks, but you aren't giving it enough effort!" That mean scowl is replaced by an evil grin now. "I, on the other hand, know how to give things effort!" Yuri crouches down a little, then launches into the air in an arched movement, while delivering a spinning kick at the exact same time. Round and round she goes, where she stops, nobody knows!

Kazuki slidesteps to the side, not wasting breath or thought on conversation. The kick clips him on the shoulder, causing the Aikidoka to wince a bit.
However, this is an opportunity in a way.
After all, the young lady's leg is /right there/. Kirigana snakes an arm out, attempting to grab the kicking leg. If he makes the grab, he twists hard (and in the wrong direction for the knee to flex) at the hips. His intent, apparently, is to throw the young lady into one of those tall standing stones!

Yuri's spinning around like a top, and the momentum from the kick gives her what she needs to be able to tumble to the side and avoid being grabbed by her leg. She does a quick rolling technique, then assumes a crouched position briefly before she stands back up and gets into her bouncy fighting stance. The sarcastic look is still there as she asks, "Do you think I have nice legs? Or were you just trying to grab me for something else?" A sarcastic chuckle erupts from Yuri's throat. "Also, did you notice that ever since you made that comment about my family, your luck has gone down? That's what you get!"
Yuri digs into the ground with her sneaker as if to emphasise the last part. "Speaking of which, did I mention you'd better watch out, because here comes more from Yuri!" She drops down again, but this time, instead of rolling, she attempts to swing her leg towards Kazuki and sweep him off his feet.

Kazuki slams to the ground as he finds his balance /wrecked/ by Yuri's leg sweep. He's staring at the stars, and the thought that he'd rather be /anywhere/ else than having to deal with this... ditz. He stays down, locking eyes with the referee for a moment to communicate that yes, he /is/ down and /no/ he is not out.
He's waiting to see what the crazy chick is going to say or do next, to be honest. He needs to calm down, and the sight of stars spinning in the night might just help with that... if only he could get that torrent of J-Pop that is Yuri out of his ears.
Yuri can't believe it. She managed to hit Kazuki with her foot sweep. That technique is one that she's often had trouble with, but now that it's worked on Kazuki, things are a bit different now. "Hey, you'd make a good sparring partner for me actually, you know that?" Yuri still grins evilly at Kazuki. "But I dunno if my father will let you into the dojo unless you tell him what you were talking about regarding us." Another arrogant crack of the knuckles and then Yuri rolls her neck around.
Yuri waits, and watches as Kazuki lies on the ground. "Oh, come on, you're not giving up already, are you?" She shakes her head and tsks. "You can do better than that! If you can talk the talk, then you should walk the walk!"

For all of Yuri's taunting, Kazuki does seem to budge. A smile flits across his face, as two ideas occur to the young man. He sits up slowly, reaching into his pocket to pull out... a set of earbuds. He shoves the pieces into his ear, before reaching into his pocket to fiddle with something. The volume is not exactly loud, but Yuri /might/ hear the tones of Mozart wafting on the winds from the earbuds.
"You're only saying this stuff because you think you're ahead," Kazuki says with maddening confidence. He brings flat hands above his head, his upper arms parallel to the ground. He takes a deep breath, exhaling slowly as he presses down with his hands. "If the situation were reversed," he says in that calm voice, "I am certain you'd be all spunk and defiance and fiery attitude."
Kazuki then settles into an /actual/ stance, squaring his shoulders and bringing open hands up slightly in front of him. His weight is slightly more on his lead leg than the back, and he seems to be keeping his eyes on Yuri's torso without having the appearance of learing. Not that there's much /to/ lear at.

Yuri can hear the classical music very well. Apparently, Kazuki has his own personal way of keeping things cool, and Yuri can appreciate that as well. "So, you like that kinda music, huh?" Yuri asks, only to realize that he most likely can't hear her. "Oh, wait, I doubt you could hear me over that!" She turns away for a moment before looking at Kazuki again. "But, if the situation were reversed, I can tell you the truth is not quite the same. I'd be determined and I'd be watching you carefully to find your weak spot... which I'm sure you have more than one of!" An evil sneer forms on her face.
"OK, go ahead and listen to your--" Yuri's expression changes abruptly as she notices how Kazuki is looking at her body. For a moment, she seems shocked, but then she chuckles. "Do you think I have a nice tummy? I do sit-ups daily, so it should look really good!" She points to her stomach as if to emphasise that point. "Speaking of which, I wonder if you can stomach something like..." Yuri is bringing her left foot up and aiming it at Kazuki's stomach. "...THIS!"

And there it is. An opening. Kazuki's hands slip quickly to the kicking ankle as he steps in. The kick goes wide, the Aikidoka's grip still sure as he sets his right foot behind Yuri's planted leg.
A sudden gust of wind kicks up as Kazuki gives a harsh shove. Between the unbalancing and the strangely strong wind, it is enough to send Yuri sprawling to the ground. Kazuki backs off, a calm look on his face as he simply watches and listens.
He again waits for his moment.
Kazuki actually countered Yuri's kick! Amazing! At least to Yuri anyway...
As Yuri goes sprawling onto the ground, she yelps out as she hits the ground. She lands hard on her rear as well, but still manages to do a kippup back onto her feet. Dusting herself off, Yuri looks to Kazuki and smiles, albeit sarcastically still. "Well, it seems you know how to walk the walk and talk the talk!" Yuri says as she returns into her fighting stance. "But that was just one time. If you can truly keep up with me, then you'll truly be able to walk and talk!" So, let's see now...
Yuri steps back as if to give herself a run-up. Then she rushes towards Kazuki, attempting to take off into a leaping uppercut when she gets close enough. "Taste my favorite move: Yuri Chou Upper!"

Kazuki takes the uppercut on the chin; Yuri's tempo is a bit too much for him. He is, in a lot of ways, still a rookie when it comes to professional fighting. He bounces off of the ground, laying on his back again. The track on his music player changes, something in a minor key from the sound of it.
He again stays down, slowing his breathing. It won't do to get heated. Let Yuri talk big, think herself big. He'll introduce her to the biggest weapon around in just a moment.

"I gotcha!" Yuri says as she lands on the ground. "Looks like things have taken a change in my favor!" She says, still sarcastic with her wit and tone. "You can try and come back if you want, but I'm still not sure about you." Yuri cracks her knuckles again and retains her fighting stance. Seeing how her opponent is still going despite such a hard hit, she figures that there might be something else planned.

Kazuki slowly picks himself up off of the ground, sliding back into that ready yet relaxed stance. The faint sardonic grin on his face suggests that A) he /can/ in fact hear what Yuri is saying and B) he /really/ does not care /what/ she thinks about him.
He recalls a lesson from the second man to teach him about Aikido, and the first man to teach him about chi. Specifically, about a fight that man had with a pro wrestler. Kazuki shuffles forward, taking short but smooth steps before throwing a flickering jab at Yuri's face.
Sometimes, you have to go to them, in order to make them throwable.

Grazing Hit

Yuri twists sideways, almost like she's looking away instead of just dodging, but whether it's looking or dodging, it does save her face for the most part. She gets hit in the face but just barely, since the punch goes by so fast and only touches her slightly. "Ouch!" Yuri says as she rubs at the spot where she got punched, then realizes it's not as bad as it seemed, meaning Yuri simply shakes her head.
"That was pretty good, but you didn't get me fully!" Yuri says as she wags a finger at Kazuki. "You need to be more careful when you're walking the walk and..." She pauses abruptly as she realizes something. "Wait a second, you've barely said anything during this fight! Are you always this quiet?" Then an evil grin appears on her face, "Or do you just have nothing to say to someone as cool as I am!" Without waiting for an answer, Yuri attempts to grab Kazuki and throw him over her shoulder.

The shoulder throw. It's a /classic/. Kazuki waits for Yuri to grab the front of his shirt before grasping her sleeves. He rolls back even as she is leaning forward, and uses all of that potential energy to go to the ground.
During the fall back, Kirigana places a foot on Yuri's sternum while pulling hard on the sleeves. This pushing and pulling creates more energy, which the prodigy uses to fling Yuri into the earth thereby introducing the Sakazaki girl to the world's largest weapon.
Suddenly, Yuri is wishing that she hadn't done that. She finds herself with a lot of pain in her chest (no, not like THAT, you perverts!) and a lot of wind missing from her lungs. And her back isn't feeling well either, as she lays on her stomach, hurting like hell. She can't believe she really overdid it that time. But even after being hit with such a hard hit, Yuri refuses to go down that easily. In fact, despite groaning in pain and having trouble keeping her vision straight, Yuri manages to get back onto her feet and into her fighting stance.
"Looks like, even if you don't talk the talk, you still walk the walk," Yuri says with a neutral look on her face. "I opened my big mouth that time, but I don't regret it!" Yuri takes a deep breath and blows it out, and then attemtps to draw her energy into her hands as she attempts to send forth a large flying blast of energy at Kazuki. "Denjin Haoh Sho Ko Ken!" She yells out, which results in not just one, but several blasts instead!

Kazuki does something oddly... heated, charging /into/ the barrage of fireballs. These obligingly smash into him like rocks rolling down a hill. However, when it is done, the Aikidoka is standing right in front of Yuri. Battered, yes. Bleeding, just a bit.
But right where he wants to be.
Another gust of wind propels Kazuki forward as he reaches for the front of Yuri's gi. If he gets the grab, he will throw his hip into the woman before throwing her to the ground. The throw, if it goes well, will be followed up by an elbow to the head!
At which point, Kirigana will just flop to the ground unconscious.%r

Yuri is caught and elbowed, and goes to the ground. But, unlike Kazuki, she is able to get back up after a moment's rest. Even though she's badly bruised and bloodied, she still manages to get back onto her feet. As the referee declares her the winner, Yuri points to Kazuki and says, "Next time you want to fight with me, go right ahead! I'd like to know what you really think about my family!" Weak voiced, but her sarcastic tone is still there. "For now, rest well, since you earned it... and I must say I'm going to remember you for next time. And if we aren't in an official fight, you better watch out!"
The last statement contradicts how Kyokugen Karate really should be, but that's just the way Yuri truly is. She staggers off to catch her breath and get treated for her injuries, while Kazuki lies unconscious on the ground.
