Description: Another NDP fight, this time between Benkei and Shun. Shun emerged victorious.
Benkei's return to the fighting world was a rough one, fighting a crazy girl with knives that cut him off. It was difficult enough getting the blood out of his gi, let alone hiding the stitched wounds from his overprotective mother. Now, the young sixteen year old man stands in a Japanese temple, cameras and spectators watching him. He wears a white gi with a red belt, the Todoh-ryuu symbol on his back, the wind ruffling his mop of black hair. He adjusts his black-rimmed glasses, nervously waiting for his opponent to arrive.

Benkei isn't the only one who has had it rough so far, Shun barely managed to turn the match into a tie in the first match in the world of international fighting, and then she got cut down by a crazy girl with swords. Her 'gi' still has some of the blood stains and cuts, though she clearly tried very hard to get rid of them.
Now standing in front of her opponent for the day, she makes a polite bow. "May the best fighter win." She says solemnly before she drops into a simple combat stance, fists balled and eyes settled on Benkei, it's clear that she is ready to fight even if the words indicating such are not spoken by Shun.
Upon noticing the symbol on Benkei's back, she smirks and says one more thing. "Ansatsuken is much superior to Todoh-ryuu."

Benkei blinks at Shun, falling into a standard fighting stance. "Todoh-ryuu Kobojutsu is the superior martial art! My chi techniques are the most powerful in the world!" He begins to glow with an aura of golden chi, the boy with a talent for chi despite his age, and then drops both hands to the ground. A wave of chi ripples across the ground, as Benkei shouts, "Kasane Ate!"

"You are wrong." Shun answers softly as she gathers up a small amount of chi in her hands as she notices her opponent's chi coming towards her. Hew own is a blueish white, and she shouts her attack's name as she throws the blast.
"GIJI HADOUKEN!"
Unfortunately, her accuracy is a little off, and she fails to do more than slow and lessen what comes in, the remainder of the Kasane Ate's chi hitting her. She sighs faintly as she is off to a poor start, but she knows that the fight has barely started and could still go anywhere.
Benkei grins at Shun as she fails to completely stop his attack, and dashes in behind his Kassane Ate. He swings with his left fist, before unleashing a roundhouse with his right foot. "HIIIIYAH!" he shouts, exhaling a breath as he attacks.
"You cannot defeat the power of Todoh!" he taunts after he unleashes his attack, dropping back into a combat stance after the combo is unleashed.

This time, Shun defends flawlessly. With a quick step out of the way, Benkei's attack hits air. She grins as she steps behind Benkei, preparing to unleash an attack of her own at the boy roughly her age. "I not only can, but I will." She states as she starts to attack, the only warning he's getting from her right now.
Grinding one heel into the ground, Shun rises her other foot into the air in a quick circling pattern, hoping to strike Benkei hard and imbalance him with what has a lot of resemvlance to a roundhouse kick. Once she lands her foot, she immediately prepares for what else Benkei might be throwing at her...

Benkei jerks his upper body backwards in a choppy motion, the roundhouse narrowly missing him. "Ha! You couldn't fight your way out of a paper bag!" he says with a laugh, circling Shun while facing her, his footwork practiced and smooth. His golden aura flaring with a surge of heat, he unleashes a fist at Shun's sternum, attempting to punch her backwards and get some room.

She can certainly /dodge/ her way out of a paper bag. Once more the Ansatsuken girl is out of the way when Benkei strikes. "You sure about that?" Is all she asks while maneuvering, her eyes glancing at Benkei's steps and her fists primed to strike at the boy. She's certainly got a plan.
And so she kicks, it's a simple, quick attack with her left foot, her other leg going down and then back up at the last moment, trying to strike at his head with force, immediately moving to recover her positioning after she's finished the kick, success or no.

Benkei gets kicked in the head, hard. His glasses go flying off his face and hit the ground with a clatter, as the student of Todoh stumbles backwards. Seeing stars in his eyes, he whines, "Hey, that really stung!" As he recovers his bearings, he takes two steps forward before leaping into the air, his leg snapping out at Shun's jaw, attempting to strike it from the side.
COMBATSYS: Shun dodges Benkei's Light Kick.

Shun ducks, the kick flying over her head as it's made. "You think that stung?" She asks with a mixture of surprise and anticipation. Knowing now what she will do next, she doesn't give Benkei the chance to fully recover from his kick as she makes er next move.
Moving her right fist upwards, she opens it up in an attempt to grab Benkei by the chin, and in one fluid movement she makes a backflip, trying to take Benkei with her. On success, she will throw Benkei down hard mid-flip while landing on the ground accurately enough herself.
It's not the least risky of moves...

Benkei is grabbed before he can finish landing, before being flipped around by Shun. He is fast, however, and lands on his hands and feet. "Ha! The artful crane defeats the crude frog! Every time!" He draws both hands to the ground, letting out a powerful Kasane Ate that burns across the ground. "KASANE ATE!" he shouts, just starting to get into the swing of things.

Shun's reaction to the Kasane Ate is similar to how she reacted previously, but this time she knew more about the attack and could more accurately react to it. Gathering blue-ish white chi into her hands, she shouted the attack's name.
"GIJI HADOUKEN!"
Immediately after she threw it towards Benkei, overcoming his Kasane Ate and the remainder of the chi in that attack flowing forwards, right for Benkei. She drops back into a lowered stance, and with her fists balled she waits to see how Benkei reacts to the small imitation hadouken.

Benkei blinks in shock as his projectile, the pride of Todoh-ryuu, is broken through and sent back at him. He raises his arms in an X and blocks the fireball, stepping backwards a step. "You don't know when to quit!" he shouts, frustrated at his inability to do any damage to Shun. He dashes forward, taking three steps, before swinging his right fist at Shun's face. "HIYAH!"

Once again, Shun sidesteps Benkei's attack. "I know when to quit. Do you?" She asks softly as she is clearly having the advantage this fight, her start might have been poor, but since then none of his attacks have been able to touch her.
She launches her left leg upwards, with a simple but forceful kick, aimed not for Benkei's head but his body, trying to break through his defenses and hurt him. Shun is a user of Ansatsuken, of the Killing Fist. She is lethal.
So she asks again, "Do you?"

"I never quit!" Benkei shouts in response, sidestepping the kick. He attempts to grab Shun's leg while it's extended, before shoving his fingers forcefully into the side of Shun's knee. "A true hero never does! You can beat me, you can hurt me, but I'll never give up!" he announces, even if he has to squint without his glasses.
COMBATSYS: Shun expertly blocks Benkei's Pressure Point.

Benkei's fingers are effortlessly blocked by Shun's arm moving in the way, and the girl answers. "That's a good spirit, but it does mean you don't know when to quit." In all fairness, it does seem like Shun barely gotten hurt by the boy's attack, if at all. She smirks as she moves to make her next strike, which is hardly nice but might be quite effective.
She does something she has done earlier this fight, to little success admittedly, but she has reason to believe that this time might be different. She tries to grab Benkei by the chin again, and she makes a backflip, quick enough that the resulting landing (if she success) should be more than a little uncomfortable.

Grabbed by the neck and flipped to the ground, Benkei lands hard, smashing face first into the stone floor. "Nnngh..." he moans, pushing himself to his feet. He shakes his head back and forth, attempting to control his chi flow and get himself back into this fight. "You haven't beaten me yet!" He falls into stance, his chi aura glowing golden.
COMBATSYS: Benkei focuses on his next action.

"Not yet." She agrees with an emphasis on the latter word. Shun lets Benkei take his time to focus, as she herself does her own efforts to shape and control her thoughts, mentally going over Benkei's prior moves and attacks this fight, and preparing herself for whatever Benkei has yet to bring, "But I will." She adds as an afterthought to her earlier words, "Promise." And she... smirks.

Benkei frowns, turning red with anger at Shun. "You fool, you can't possibly face the power of Todoh-ryuu!" he exclaims, before rushing forward, snapping forward with a front kick at Shun's face, before hopping around to the kicking leg and sweeping with his other leg.

She can't? Personally, Shun feels otherwise. As the kick comes towards her, she approaches Benkei and lets it strike, but the second kick never meets her face. Rather than allow Benkei to have all the fun, she wraps her right hand in licking chi flames and moves it upwards, her words loud and clear.
"GIJI SHORYUKEN!"
And as Benkei tries to make the second kick, Shun punches him away with that lesser imitation of the Shoryuken, looking at Benkei with a smidgen of pride in her eyes. "Am I the fool, or are you?" Is the question she asks softly while stepping back, not sure if Benkei even still has the energy to make a move.
Benkei gets slammed in the jaw, his head snapping backwards as he stumbles away. He sways on his feet, seeing several Shuns, and proudly states, "I'll kill all three of you!" He charges forward with a mighty fist inside a huge wave of chi, his forward momentum carrying him onto his knees, before he slumps face first to the ground.
COMBATSYS: Benkei can no longer fight.

Even though Benkei's fist strikes true and his energy flows into Shun's body, she remains standing easily. She had shown for the first time on public television that she is capable of winning. Since she has won this fight, as is confirmed by the arbitrator, who announces her victory. Smiling faintly, she makes a bow to the cameras before moving to Benkei to help him up. "Keep practicing." She tells her fellow teenager.
