Description: Old library, lots of books, but no silence here. The constant rivalry between Todoh-Ryuu and Kyokugen Karate comes to blows once again as Daniel and Yuri go at it! Who will end up hitting the books for real? (WINNER: Draw)
It was time.
Daniel Jack stands outside the library, dressed in the garb of Todoh-Ryuu Kobojutsu, the uniform of the art of Todoh. Dressed in white gi with billowing Aikido pants, the detective speaks with the man with the mic, wearing the chest plate of Todoh.
"Yes, the rivalry between Todoh-Ryuu and Kyokugen-Ryuu has been toned down over the years, scuzzy. But it is by no means under the rug. I am the current leader of the Neo Development Project due in fact to the superiority of Todoh-Ryuu Kobojutsu, and there is no better way to prove it than defeating a family member of Kyokugen!"
Daniel Jack looks towards the red brick of the library. Connemara Public Library. A strange place to have a fight, but a stranger building to find in India. With the crowd formed around the section outside the library singled out for the fight, the detective turns away from the interviewer, scanning around. "Yuri Sakazaki. We had once fought before. Where is she?" Daniel shakes his head.
She better not have backed out!
Yuri Sakazaki never backs down from a challenge. Especially one that challenges Kyokugen-Ryuu. Even if Daniel claims that it's been toned down, it's still on, and Yuri's ready to defend Kyokugen in any way possible. Even if that means challenging him in an NDP match. Yuri's always ready to defend her style, and what better way than by proving just how awesome (in Yuri's opinion anyway) the style truly is!
"Yoo-hoo, looking for me?" Yuri asks with a big grin, finishing a bottle of water. "I've been waiting for you, but you obviously need glasses!" Yuri comments with a razz, before moving closer and getting into her fighting stance. "Looks like our little rivalry is on again, so we're going to have to duke it out to see which is the best. But I'm warning you, Kyokugen will always be the most awesome style in the world!"

And then, Yuri arrives.
Daniel Jack turns to face his opponent, the young Yuri Sakazaki. "So you have finally come, Yuri. It is time to prove which art is the strongest!" The detective advances forward, moving towards the center of the field. "I have become far more strongest than our last match, Yuri! You will truly learn the strength of Todoh through one of Master Todoh's greatest students!"
"Let us begin with the basics!"
The judge, satistified with the arrival of both fighters, gives the signal. "Ready? Let's Fight!" Daniel Jack steps in towards Yuri, bringing back a hand. Lurching in, the detective begins to flare up with orange chi as he slashes at the air. Immediately, a wave of orange energy lashes out, then up. The pile of energy rolls out in a wide spread, as the detective roars out the name of the signature move.
"KASANE ATE!"

"The basics, huh? You have a weird idea of what you think basic is---" Yuri is cut off when she attempts to jump over the wave, only to be caught by it and knocked to the ground. She lands flat on her back, then springs back onto her feet and dusts herself off, almost like she's used to it by now.
"That was pretty good, but I'll show you an example of a basic attack!" Yuri rushes up to Daniel, and then launches into an aerial spinning kick, going in an arched direction as opposed to just sideways. All while calling out, "Chou Mawashi Geri!"

As the Kasane Ate rips into Yuri, Daniel has already claimed victory.
Grinning fiercely, the detective is already back in form. He could sense it, in his heart, that Master Todoh was watching this epic duel. His eyes scan the surrounding crowd. Perhaps he was near that little boy with the enormous lolipop? Perhaps he was actually that mime near the trained bear. Or maybe, just maybe, he was peeking around the corner where that metal-faced man in the trenchcoat was standing by.
But no matter.
As Yuri comes launching in with a spinning kick, the detective is already throwing up his guard to deflect it. Catching the attack, the detective blocks the kick, redirecting Yuri back towards the ground. "Basic is the best description for that! Let me show you the real power of Todoh!" The detective, flaring up with energy, unleashes a palm strike with his left hand. Following that, he unleashes a hand chop with his right, before letting loose another palm strike. The simple combo ends with a final palm strike, the detective choosing simplicity over flair.
"HIYA!"

The style works, and there's no way Yuri can avoid it. She finds herself getting hit numerous times, leaving her staggering briefly before she slaps her face with both hands to clear herself up. "That's some interesting fighting you got there," Yuri says sarcastically with an evil grin. "But do you think you can really top Kyokugen?" Yuri shakes her head and brings her fist back behind her. "Ko'ou Ken!" She yells as she sends forth a blast of chi at Daniel.

As the blast is unleashed, Daniel Jack's first instinct is to endure the blast. Standing strong, the detective begins to pile through the blast, enduring the power. "I will not! I will not! I am stronger! I will...."
"Fail?"
The detective reaches his breaking point, and the blast carries him away, greatly increasing the distance between him and his Kyokugen opponent. "Argh! Dammit!" The detective seeths, grabbing his chestplate. The blast had knocked a hole clean it, limited the blow some what. But nothing meaningful. Struggling with the chestplate, the detective slips it out. "This was a Todoh heirloom! Master Todoh said that when I wore it, I wore the honor of the entire dojo with me! And you BROKE IT!" Hurling the halloween costume prop that was picked up in a nearby dollar store by his master, the detective flings it back of Yuri, attempting to brain her.
Truly this was the way of Todoh.

"Heirloom? Hmmph! You mean trash!" Yuri sneers, but gets hit with it and staggers backwards once again. This time, though, she picks it up and tosses it to the side. "That's just real garbage now!" She says with a scowl. "You think you're all that, but I'm just getting warmed up!" Yuri grabs her bottle of water and takes a swig.

Garbage?
The detective's face begins to burn. "How DARE you! The Sakazaki family has no right to insult the WAY of TODOH! You will RUE the day you insult not only myself, but my entire Dojo! It seems I have been too soft on you, Yuri! It is time to unleash the ultimate technique of Todoh! Watch and be in awe!"
"TODOOOOOOOOH!"
Punching a fist in the air, the detective suddenly erupts into a pillar of orange chi. Body igniting, his uniform begins to shred, the fire of his own chi attacking the body within. His form roaring alive, the detective's chest suddenly bursts forth from his shirt, destroying the clothing above the waste. His muscular, naked chest exposed, the orange chi begins to die down slightly as the detective thrusts a finger at Yuri.
"Come!"

"You think you're all that? Just because you can charge up your inner power?" Yuri raises an eyebrow before shaking her head, obviously not impressed. "Sorry, but power isn't everything if you can't actually use it! In fact, sometimes the simpler of things can easily top things like that!" Yuri strides over to Daniel and attempts to fake him out with a quick punch aimed at the stomach.

As Daniel's body burns, the detective seems to be waiting for Yuri to come at him. As if when he said 'come,' he actually wanted for Yuri to approach him. Indeed, as the Sakazaki approaches him, the student of Todoh begins to raise his hand up in the air, flattening it out into a chop. As the quick punch comes, it is like Yuri triggers a trap. "I am more than all that, Yuri!"
"I am a part of Todoh-Ryuu Kobojutsu!"
The detective unleashes the chop as the punch comes. The chop, honed from hours upon hours of constant log breaking, ice breaking, and brick breaking, is flawless. The form is flawless. The very motions, as it burns with Daniel's own energy, is nothing less than perfect. Should Yuri fail to escape in time, she will find her collarbone struck with the force of a thousand horses. If her entire skeleton did not shatter into dust, then it would be a miracle.
Unless, of course, he missed.

As Daniel comes at Yuri with his chop, Yuri gets an idea. Instead of dodging, Yuri carefully watches Daniel's attack, and then stands up straight, while bringing her hands together in front of her. Almost immediately, an aura of chi surrounds her, knocking Daniel's attack away. How this will affect Daniel is anyone's guess!
With surprise, of course.
As the move is reflected back, the detective looks in sheer shock. "WHAT!?" The detective cries, his hand knocked not only back, but right into his own face. Stumbling back, the detective looks more than confused, but downright outraged. "How dare you!" The detective shots, regaining his footing. "No one can ignore the World's Greatest Hand Chop(tm)!"
"Especially no Kyokugen student!"
Daniel Jack surges forward, charging Yuri with an arm drawn back. Swiftly, he slashes the air before him, unleashing a wave of energy out towards Yuri. He barely has time to call out the attack as the chi whimpers out, scarcely reaching Yuri.
"KASANE ATE!"

Yuri simply stands her ground and adopts a defensive stance. "I didn't ignore it, I just chose not to accept it!" She says with an evil grin. "You can do whatever you want, but you can't ignore the fact that Kyokugen Karate is always going to be the most awesome style in the world!" Yuri then does a somersault into the air, then attempts to plant her sneakers into Daniel's head.

As Yuri leaps up, the detective other hand is already sweeping up. Yes, the initial Kasane Ate was blocked. But that attack was never about the lead in. It was about the follow through. As Yuri's feet touch the detective on the head, Daniel Jack grabs the girl by her ankle. "Awesome?"
"Let me show you awesome."
Daniel Jack wrenches Yuri around, using her momentum to shift away from the fresh bump on his skull, and towards the ground. Clutching Yuri with his other hand, he ignites the girl with his chi, letting the energy wreath around her as he slashes her DOWN. Roaring out, chi erupts in a wave as the Sakazaki is smashed to the ground.
"KASANE ATE!"
Smashed up? Whether you mean it literally or figuratively, it's definitely not a good thing for Yuri. As she lights on the ground, Yuri finds a few stars spinning around her head, albeit literally. She shakes the stars away and pushes herself up, groaning a little as she turns to face Daniel. "That was a good one, but let me show you something!" Yuri takes a deep breath and blows it out, then steps towards Daniel, then repeats it again. This time, she attempts to grab Daniel and administer a series of slaps before throwing him down!

Daniel Jack spikes Yuri to the ground, turning her into his Kasane Ate. And in that, the detective was proud. But as she remains dazed, the detective stands tall, crossing his arms as he glares upon the student of Kyokugen. "Good? It is the best! I have unleashed unlimited Kasane Ates upon you! And you can't handle it, sweetheart!" As Yuri comes back to grab him, the detective doesn't put up a fight.
But as the slaps come...
His outline begins to fade; his colors soften and blur. Before Yuri's own eyes, the detective seems to fade away. She could see him, yes, but was he differentiated from the crowd? It was as if he was a part of the background, a part of the mob. As the hand strikes are unleashed, Daniel lifts up his hand, and begins to block and parry the blows.
What Todoh technique was this?!
It is only when the assault stops when Daniel's hand reaches out. The colors surge back to the detective, a new resolution surging within him. Attempting to grab Yuri by her wrist and above the elbow, the detective will try to take advance of the close quarters to wrench her limb at both joints! If successful, the detective will twist, twist, twist the Sakazaki...
All the way to the ground.

Shake it up baby, now! (Shake it up baby!) Twist and shout! (Twist and shout!)
That's what Yuri does. Daniel twists and Yuri shouts in pain. This is worse than some of the stretching exercises she's had to do in training. In fact, the more she screams, the more it seems to hurt. Just when she thinks it's going to be the end of her, she slips free. Her arm hurts like hell, but that only serves to increase Yuri's anger at Daniel.
"I've been playing nice for the time being," Yuri scowls. "But this time, I'm playing for real!" Yuri takes a deep breath, focusing her inner energy, then sends forth several large blasts of chi at Daniel.
""DENJIN HAOH SHO KO KEN!" Yuri screams angrily.

Daniel's one weakness. Robert had nearly destroyed him with it. And now, Yuri is abotu to tear him asunder. But as Yuri claims that fun time is over, the detective looks her in the eye as he attempts to dodge. When the blast is just about to strike him clean, though, the detective gives one last line. "Then I guess it is time to... Mean Business." The blast knocks Daniel soaring through the air, crashing clean through the doors of the library.
For a moment, there is silence.
And then come the books.
The detective, bursting through the door, kicking them clean off the hinges right back towards Yuri. Whether they hit or not does not matter, because this was the beginning of the end. Daniel Jack emerges with a stack of books. Juggling them through the air, the detective begins to approach the Kyokugen fighter, a living whirlwind of chi and book. As the detective returns back to the fighting area, he begins to unleash the books. Sarte! Shakespeare! Swift! The flurry of books comes crashing back towards the Kyokugen master. When Daniel finally reaches Yuri, he is clutching the last book, winding it back. "I guess... I guess..." He mutters, swaying back and forth. Daniel drops the book...
And with a thump, hits the ground.

The book hits Yuri, despite her best effort to avoid it. It strikes her square in the head, and Yuri spins around briefly before staggering on her feet. "Ohhh... owww..." Yuri tries to keep herself on her feet. "You... no I... ugh... whatever..." Yuri drops to one knee, and her last words are, "This isn't over yet! Next time will be truly different!" And then she falls flat on her face.
COMBATSYS: Yuri takes no action.
COMBATSYS: Yuri can no longer fight.
