Description: The Neo Development League wants to have a scary match in Transylvania. But not everyone's in a scary mood, especially Yuri Sakazaki, who's always cheerful and upbeat. Who will emerge from the darkness? (WINNER: Intan)
To add to the creepy sphere of the Transylvanian castle, the NDP staff had insisted on making the fight happen at midnight during a full moon. In the distance, the howl of the wolves could be heard, and a few bats flew between the castle towers. As a whole, not a very positive atmosphere. Of course, the stage was bright enough that everything could be seen, the full moon took care of most, and there were a few conveniently placed bonfires to add to the atmosphere and light.
Intan had dressed up for the occassion, she decided that it would be ideal if she would be dressed in all black and get the makeup artists to powder what exposed skin she had to be more pale than usual. She had even put in special lenses to colour her irises red. Now it was just time to wait for her unfortunate vic--opponent. No fight is complete without someone to fight against, after all.

Intan may insist on dressing in all black, and that's her right. But for Yuri, it's not a fight if she can't wear her usual attire. Wearing her karate gi top with her leggings and Chuck Taylor sneaks and socks, Yuri rushes into the area looking quite cheerful despite the fact that it's a rather dark and gloomy place. It's quite the contradiction, but Yuri's a walking contradiction in many ways.
As Yuri arrives at the spot where the NDP had set things up, she pauses as she recognizes her opponent. "I-Intan?" Yuri asks, confused but also excited to see a familiar face at the same time. "I... I didn't hurt you too badly in our last fight, did I?" She's sounding sympathetic but still eager all the same. "Because this fight is gonna really be awesome!" Yuri gets into her fighting stance and stares intently at her opponent, ready to see what she's truly capable of.

"Hey Yuri." Intan answers as the question is asked, and she bows. "You did not. And it should be really awesome, because I'm going to win." She definitely sounds confident enough in her own skill, even as she rushes towards Yuri. Despite the getup, she's apparently not going for actually getting into the vampire role too much. "And then I'll suck all the blood out of your body." ... oooorrrr maybe she is.
When she actually is at Yuri's location, Intan immediately strikes. A quick blow of her left Kris, aimed at Yuri's abdomen. Immediately after, the Indonesian makes a backflip, withdrawing the blade /during/ the backflip. "I hope I won't spill too much of it beforehand." As she lands, she gets back into a defensive position.

"You're gonna suck my blood?" Yuri can't help but laugh at that. "I thought we were fighting, not playing vampires! It's a nice place to play that game, but this isn't the time for that!" Yuri jumps up and down and gets into her fighting stance again, watching as Intan comes at her with her Kris again.
"That weapon again? Ha!" Yuri brings up a small force field around her fists as Intan comes at her. Unfortunately, the force field does more harm than good, as while Intan might be hit, Yuri still gets cut up and staggers backwards, holding at the spot where she was cut. "Owww..." She looks up and sees how Intan seems to have barely flinched. "I guess that hurt me more than it did you!" The phrase is sarcastic but Yuri still razzes Intan and winks.
"And this will hurt you more than it will hurt me too." Intan promises as she does not flinch at the response to her strike. Really, it doesn't even seem to have left a red print. "Promise." And with those words said, Intan rushes on to Yuri again, her right kris this time. Aiming for Yuri's side, and just letting it pass through as Intan moves past. "It won't be too bad though, I'm sure it won't end the fight immediately!"
That would be a very boring fight anyway. Intan turns around immediately after passing by, preparing herself for what she expects to be an incoming attack.

"You think it's going to be that easy?" Yuri replies. "Well, I'd like to see you try that." A slash to the side would hurt badly, but not when Yuri deflects it away from her. "Yuri doesn't let people hurt her easily." Yeah, she refers to herself in the third person, it's an occasional quirk. "I'm gonna knock you out good!"
Yuri makes a gesture, as if to say, "Come on!" Then, she rears back and attempts to throw a hard punch at Intan.

And the punch lands cleanly. Ow. Intan frowns slightly, but doesn't let it get to her. Rather, she smirks. "Of course I don't think it's going to be that easy. If it was going to be that easy I wouldn't be allowed to be a part of this league!" Intan does have a point there. Intan rushes towards Yuri again, and tries for a strike to the other side this time, using the other Kris. She also isn't moving past, but rather trying to twist the blade a little before pulling it out with another showy backflip. "But I don't think you'll knock me out, sorry."

Being cut is bad enough, but when you're cut twice, it hurts even more. Yuri reels in pain, already having been cut before. She groans, noticing the blood coming from her new wound. "You won't knock me out that easily either," Yuri says in a slightly weakened but annoyed voice. "You and your weapons, they can't stand up to the art of Kyokugen Karate! Your fists and feet are your best weapon!" The emphasis is on the feet apparently, since Yuri then launches into an aerial spinning kick, aimed right at Intan.

With a quick backflip, Intan is out of the reach of the spinning kick. Unfortunate for Yuri, but good for Intan. "What use is a weapon if it doesn't land?" Intan answers with a kind smile. "No offense intended, but you might not want to emphasize the superiority of a weapon and then not be able to land your blow."
Of course, this does mean Intan has to answer with a successful blow of her own, and for that she needs to attack. And with a rushing movement, Intan does exactly that. Jumping into the air with a somersault, trying to go past Yuri and stab her midair, only to land and continue her movements to increase distance before Yuri has a chance to react.

Yuri doesn't need to do a backflip to avoid the aerial attack. In face, she simply twists herself so her inertia moves her out of the way completely. "Ha ha, you missed me!" Yuri says with a big grin. "Looks like you need to learn how to hit a moving target better!" Even with those wounds on her body, Yuri still remains optimistic. Quite odd how she can change moods abruptly. "Lemme show you how I do it!" Yuri then adds as she leaps into the air and sends forth a blast of chi at Intan.

This is what we generally call unfortunate in the world of fighting. Intan tries to move out of the way of the incoming chi, but she's just not fast enough this time around. Wincing slightly, she turns back to Yuri and smirks. "I've not lost yet." She points out, "And the yet is a hypothetical, because I doubt I will lose!"
And with such words spoken, Intan makes a quick rush towards Yuri, and tries to strike the brunette with the hilt of her right Kris, and she stays close this time. Nice and personal. "I hope you don't mind losing? Because I kind of do!" It's said in a jocular enough tone that indicates she probably isn't as sore a loser as she just implied she is. "Of course, when it happens it happens."

Getting personal?
Yuri doesn't like it when people get personal with her. Namely because it does more harm than good to her. And boy if Yuri isn't bleeding enough already as it is, she's gotten another cut on her body. This Intan fighter means business.
"Ever heard the saying 'too close for comfort?'" Yuri asks sarcastically. "Well, that's what you just did to me... so I'm gonna return the favor!" She adds as she attempts to grab Intan and perform an over-the-shoulder throw.

Intan lets herself be grabbed and thrown, and when she gets up again she is just as close as she was moments before. "Yeah, baby." She winks at those words and hopes to use this combination of events to land that next strike. She lashes out with both of her main blades, in a cross pattern to Yuri's gut. "I have heard of 'too close for comfort', but I'd think that would be a lot closer still." And as though to accentuate that, she moves just a few inches closer. "I'm trying out a new tactic, does it work?"

"Yeah, you said it," Yuri says sarcastically, intending on stopping this whole thing with a simple punch... but that doesn't happen. Yuri gets hit once again and staggers backwards, gasping as her belly now has more blood on it than usual. "Damn... what was I thinking?!" Yuri asks as she struggles to stay on her feet, while placing one hand over the wound. "Don't bleed out Yuri!"
"I told you I wanted to suck your blood." Intan answers, clearly joking even as she starts basically dancing around Yuri, up close and rather personal, well, it would be personal if it wasn't filled with dozens of quick jabs of Intan's two main blades. She doesn't aim for spots that will bleed, though. She aims for those places where it inhibits movement. Tendons, joints, the like. It's all very agile and swift, so if Yuri intends to defend herself against that, she'd better be really fast about it!

Those blades hit where it definitely hurts... Not a single blade misses it's mark. Yuri looks more like she's been carved up like a turkey... albeit a bit more gruesome looking. She tries to cover her wounds, but given how much blood she's lost, it's obvious she's out of it. In a last ditch effort to leave a lasting mark, Yuri brings her hands back and then sends forth several large blasts of chi... with the last one resulting in her falling over forward, almost like the inertia of the last one causes her to fall over.

With Yuri going down, Intan had already mostly won. Still, those incoming blasts of chi were annoying, and the Indonesian girl suddenly dropped her main blades to draw several others and attempt to intercept the blasts. While she wasn't fully successful, at least she saved her behind enough that she remained standing.
As soon as it was over, Intan went over to Yuri and sat down next to the girl she just stabbed to shreds. "You fought well." She tells her, "I look forward to fighting you again." And then she gets up and starts to head back towards the organizers so she can be patched up and have her post-battle interview and all that.
