Description: The NDP is in full swing and one of the matches this time around pits a relative newcomer in LaShey against one of the more famous fighters from Gedo High. Gan clashes with the mysterious young woman for money and prizes. (Winner: Gan)
A fighting league? That had got her attention, also the prize money as well, given her current back account was in the red? This was quite useful. Actually she doesn't have a bank account that she knows of. Still the fight was good and bizzarly she's chosen to wear a mask of all things? Just enough to hide her face. She has her reasons after all. So here she ist at the point for the match the Camera crews are set up, there's people here to watch, and she's ready to go. She's currently doing a few stretches as she waits for Gan's arrival, it shouldn't be too long after all right?

The league has been a good thing for Gan so far. Sure he has only done one fight, but it netted him and Edge a good amount of food and money. And with that money a good chunk went to celebratory dinners for a few days. Even so there was enough funds to give to his family and still have some left to spend on. It doesn't last forevery unfortunantly. With it running low it looks like he finds himself getting into another fight. If he got so much for a tie he wants to try to win this one! That must mean alot more cash.
The large sumo is hard to miss. He dwarfs alot of people as he trundles forward. A strange crown resting on his head. A bit of a prize he got the other night when he and Edge beat up some weirdo trying to cause trouble in Gedo. Ever since then he has been wearing the thing and joking he is the king of Gedo. Any maybe he is! Daigo has been around awhile and could move on. Gan and Edge could just rule everything just fine. "Ahh, La....Shey?" he asks while taking a look around. His hands idly fidgeting with the strange barrel like item he wears around his waist. "I'm here." he says while giving a slightly dopey grin.

The Prize money was a very good motivator and she's just looking up at the huge slab of a man? That she's going to fight. She does give him a little bow as she nods. "That's correct and you would be Gan? Your larger than I expected. Let's get started!"
She does seem ready to fight and is falling into a ready postion as she looks down her foe. This should be fun one way or another, and she's not about to let the guy she's fighting down. She waits for a moment, just long enough for Gan to get ready for the fight. She's not about to sucker punch him after all. When she thinks it's been enough time La Shey brings her hands together, and there's a build up of engery as she launches a somewhat strange looking blast of Chi at Gan.

He grins some at the mention of his size. "I get that alot. I take after my mom." he comments while looking rather proud. That really can't be a pretty sight when one thinks about it too much. In fact it is probably best not to think about it. He nods though at the mention of getting things started. "Good idea." he says in response and he claps his two meaty hands together and rubs them against one another before slapping his stomach a few times and taking a deep breath to get himself ready.
He is about ready to get on the move himself only to instead find himself dealing with a blast of energy. He grimaces a bit and he brings up his arms as he uses them to absorb most of the blow as he stalks forward after the energy dissipates. There is a weird flash of purple that surround his hands momentarily as he reaches to grasp for LeShay. He just looks to grab her by her top and then toss her up and over him. The fact he uses only one hand to do so shows the man is more than just flab. He has some strength as well.

Shey is going to have to make use of the huge guy's size. For if he's able to get his hands on her it's going to be bad. She doesn't think too hard about his comment. Clearly is his proud of his mother and she'll leave it at that. He does manage to get in faster than she expects. She's barely able to struggle free of his throw as she's tossed up into the air, she does actually land well enough all things considered.
"So you were not just a pretty face? Let's see what you can do!"
She rushes in launching into a quick number of punches, just really to keep Gan off balance as best she can.

"Pretty face?" he has never been called that before. He also doesn't realize that it wasn't to be taken seriously. He considers things which does leave him a bit open to the attack that comes his way. What LaShey might not have expected is the fact that it is like punching against a brick wall when assaulting the sumo. He just chuckles some as he gets nailed by the flurry of punches and he shakes his head. "Might have to hit a bit harder." he tells her and then his smile turns into more of a grin.
A mighty leg is raised in the air and he slams his foot down hard. Hard enough that the ground in the general area actually shakes. Something that might throw LaShey off balance if she isn't careful. Of course that is his intention. He wants her thrown off balance so he an follow it up with a open pam thrust that is aimed directly at the sternum. A rather punishing blow intent on knocking the girl away if it connects. "Gotcha!"

Shey wasn't meaning it as an insult, she's just bantering really. Still she seems to be getting bit of a suprise, as it's like punching a brick wall. She's learning quickly to judge Gan by his looks is pure folloy. As he snips back she can only grin.
"I guess i'll hae to do that!"
The Sumon's got a lot of power and endurance, he's also no slouch in how quick he can move his bulk. She wonders how many other fighters he's taken down by suprising them with that alone? The stomp would have worked, had she been on the ground but at this moment she's in the air and is just not there as the strike comes her way.
"Not bad, but no quite fast enough!"
That's when she lands, turns and launches a savage punch for Gan, seems she is punching harder now!

A harder punch, but close to the same effect. At least this time Gan seems more serious and isn't laughing it off. It elicits a grunt as his feet drag across the ground a tiny bit from the impact. He certainly isn't built for speed, but it looks like the big man can easily take plenty of punishment. That and why does he have to worry about being too speedy when his opponent is throwing themselves at him like this? I makes things alot easier because at some point they are going to slip up and that is the only moment he needs.
This is also a rare time where he isn't really outward trying to grapple someone. There is a flash in the emerald inlaid in that crown he wears and he raises a large leg up again. Instead of slamming it down he just kicks outwards towards LaShey while she is still in close. The foot itself flashes much like how his hands did earlier when he went to grapple the young woman earlier in the fight, but fades quickly without the sumo even noticing what he is doing.

Shey can punch pretty hard for someone of her build, and she's not wanting to keep in grappling range, this much is clear as she attemps to keep on the move. However she's not fast enough she's hit and knocked about a good bit. She's not down yet, but that was an rather unexpected turn of affairs as she counter, seems to be contiuning with her idea, that punching is going to go somewhere against Gan. Why? Because she's launching an uppercut at the huge mountain of a man, this means however she's got to risk getting in close, and this could end badly for her...

Gan has to give it to the young woman. She certainly seems to have no fear of what might happen if the larger fighter would get ahold of her. Of course it might be a fine line between fearless and insane. In the fighting world they do tend to blend together quite a bit. Even after kicking her aside she comes right back in at him. To be fair at least she is going high this time around in an attempt to find out if the sumo has a glass jaw that might not be as solid as the rest of the big man's body.
He actually ends up being deceptively quick in this case and that punch barely glances off his jaw as he lunges forward and a hand grips the woman and hefts her up before slamming her hard on the ground. He then picks her back up and he starts to spin about and pick up momentum before he releases and sends LaShey flying away. He staggers some as he tries to regain his own balance due to growing dizzy from all the spinning he just did.
As a speedy type once said. My blood, he punched out all my blood. This is about what happens to La Shey, she knows the risks, she also can't rely on just launching chi blasts at a guy like this either. She did have a plan, but it's gone very south. Oh so very to the south it has gone for her, but it's far from over, at least it's not over yet. She's grabbed and hefted up into the air, she hits the ground quite hard, the spinning not helping. Still she's back on her feet and preparing something like before she's channeling chi, a whole lot of chi from the looks of it she's channeling it into her body and just going to unload upon Gan. As she forms a spear out of Chi, which she launches at the sumon, nearly at point blank range!

The attack he made may have hurt him almost as much as it helped him in the long run. He finds himself still abit dizzy from it all by the time that LaShey recovers and comes on the attack again. He frowns some and he is unsure what she is about to do, but he starts to bring his arms up to absorb the blast much like her did earlier. This blast ends up being alot more than he expected and it ends up knocking the sumo back and away, actually taking the large man off his feet as his ass hits the ground hard.
He grunts some and he is a bit slow to get up. A large hand idly rubs at his keister as he straightens back up fully. "Pretty powerful." he murmurs and he slaps his cheeks a few times. Time to get in the zone and finish her off, Gan. Or at least that is what he is telling himself as he takes a few breaths and he then crouches some and rests his hands above his knees as he seems to get in the ready position a traditional sumo would use.

Shey smiles painedly at the compliment, she's pretty sure it was ment that way, she also suprised at how hard she's managed to hit him that hard. Still Gan is still standing and there's a lot of cash on the line tonight. Gan however is taking a moment to recover and she can make use of this to recover a little herself, as she launches into a sudden and rather quick attack to just kick him as she has no plans to let up, and letting up could spell her end!

He seems to be refocused on things now and he is able to concentrate more on the movements of LaShey again. Not that it is very hard given the fact she is running right at him again. He starts to charge forward to meet her. He lets that kick slam into him even as he reaches upwards and grasps with his hands. He can't let her do anymore of that weird blasting stuff to him again. That all stung way too much to his liking. This very well could spell the end for the young woman.
He goes to grasp with one hand and heft her back up again. If he manages he is going to just start slamming her against the ground and then hefting her high and then slamming her on the ground on the other side of im. It is about a total of four slams before he finally just sort of slings her like a ragdoll over his head and would release her after, and if, he can manage to deliver all that punishment to her beforehand.

This fight is just brutal, really and Gan seems to have still have something left in him. But something like this? She's quick but she's caught, it was a near thing but Gan was just fast enough to get his miracle meat hands on her. She's slammed into the ground several times like a rag doll and is just thrown lose when all is done, somehow? Nothing breaks, and she's clearly on her last legs as she fights to rise. She's channeling more chi again, this girl seems to like to do that a heck of a lot doesn't she?
She manages to hold it together as she focuses the chi into a cylinder that quickly starts behaving like a tornado as it's fired at Gan, but she may just not have anything left in her after this.

Of all things LaShey certainly has mastered the art of using her energy quite well. Gan himself is only mildy decent with it, but given his other abilities he really doesn't have to worry too much about perfecting any techniques. His slams and throws are more than enough to handle the ruffians that often look to cause trouble in Gedo territory. Not only that he usually has the likes of Edge, Akira or Daigo backing him up if things get too tough for him. Not that he often lets things get over his head.
He does seem to be learning one thing, thouh. He can't give LaShey time to do much of anything or else he is going to keep eating blasts to the face like he did earlier. That is why he just charges forward as soon as she gets up. And while that energy is being gathered he reaches forward and barrels through it with total disregard on what it might do to him. He grabs LaShey by the neck and squeezes to make it hard for her to breath before he spins about and just tosses her off to the side once again. "Stop that."
Shey does not seem to know when to give up she should be down, she totally should be down at this point and she's getting back up even as Gan is able to intercept her own attack and turn everything around on it. This however is a sporting event and not a fight to the death after all. But there she is on her feet again. She's grabbed by the throat she's sputtering but as she's thrown to the side again. She's still on her feet but it's not certain how long she'll be there, she is attacking again but looking ragged.
"Not...done yet..."
She comes in again to punch gan, she may be out of the energy to channel anymore blasts, from the looks of it...

Gan will have to give her one thing. She has alot of fight in her for looking a bit on the small side. Then again everyone is a bit on the small side in comparison to him. Even so he has to respect the fact that even if it is a bad idea she keeps getting up after each punishing move delivered by the sumo. Even more so she still tries to come at him with an attack. A punch that he uses a mighty open palm to block with. It slams hard there and he then takes a step back. "Gonna have to stay down eventually."
He intends to try and make her do just that right about now. He lowers a shoulder then bull rushes forward aiming to drive his shoulder right into her at full force. Given his large size he has quite a bit of momentum behind him by the time he impacts. Or if she gets out of the way the poor wall he runs into is going to be hating life.

Shey does have a lot of fight in her, prehaps disturbingly so. She knows she's not got much left, she's got one last card she can play and then it's all but over really, she starts to form another chi projectile somehow she's found some last bit she could draw on, but Gan's words are true. One's body can only take so much, Will can force someone on much like it has here, beyond what it should. Yet in the end mechanical failure will have it's way as she fires the blast she's not ablle to even phase the giant as she's rammed into the wall. Her last thought before she passes out and as she now a feature of the wall. Why did her fights seem to end in her becomming one with the wall?
The sumo hits home and drives LaShey into the wall hard. He backs off and it looks like the young woman is finally down and out. As he backs away officials check on her while others are already talking to the shopkeeper who just had the front of their shop damaged via the fight. Not to mention the repairs needing to be done on the sidewalk as well from where the two battled. Gan just smiles big while reaching up to adjust his crown. It is good to be the king.
Once he is informed he has won that smile just grows. That means more money! Edge is going to be so happy to hear that. What will they do this time around with it? There is so many cool and tempting things to spend it on. He is going to get a celebratory dinner at his favorite place first thing! He is lead off to collect his prize while medics go to check on the fallen LaShey and at least get her somewhat fixed up.
