Description: Trying out for Himeko's No-Brand Team, Yuri Sakizaki of Kyokugen Dojo, the mysterious Munin, and world class hero Skullomania battle for supremacy in front of a gym full of Taiyo teens! Who will be reign supreme and move on to the King of Fighters tournament? (Winner: Munin)
It's an exciting day at Taiyo High! Himeko call for members for the No-Brand team is arriving at the schools gym for a knock-down, drag out battle to the end!
Minus the death, of course.
The seating is full of students of all years, eager to see the battle commence, along with the usual groupings of fight lovers! A snack stand has even been set up out front so those going in can have munchies while the violent shenanigans ensue!
For the safety of the audience, reinforced bullet-proof plexiglass has been set up in front of the stands, to make sure the only ones injured in this are the combatants themselves.
The lights dim, and the announcer at the table off to the side (also protected) begins announcing the names of the combatants for them to make their entrance. The first name called? "Munin Arshe!".
At this moment, a dark circle of black and violet chi appears on the floor nearby, and the form of the small woman rises out of it, as a spotlight comes on overhead. Due to the hoodie, the light casts shadow inside her hood, making her glowing violet eyes appear very pronounced and eerie, as wisps of black smoke drift from her fingers. The circle below her fades, and she gives a quick bow as she pulls back her hood. Watching the other entrances, she waits for her opponents to make their own entrances.
Meanwhile, Yuri Sakazaki is looking for members to join her team. She's hoping for a couple of girls for the 'Princesses Team' to become a reality! If that doesn't work, there's always Awesome Team instead! There are several options available. It all depends on how the search goes and who Yuri might be able to enlist to join her team. Not to mention, any chance to show off Kyokugen is always a good opportunity in her eyes! Not to mention, she's doing this at her own high school, which makes it even more exciting!
"Miss Yuri Sakazaki," The announcer calls next, and out comes Yuri, literally skipping into the area, grinning and waving to everyone. She's not the least bit intimidated by that mysterious hooded woman at all. Instead, she's more excited about a chance to show off and have a great fight here today. Once she reaches the center of the gym, she turns to face audience and gives them a big thumbs up.
"Hellllllooooooooooooooooo everybooooooooody!" Yuri yells out happily. "As you know, I'm your hero of your school, Yuri Sakazaki! I'm also the Queen of Kyokugen Karate! I'm gonna show you all how awesome this style is!" She gives a double victory hand sign. "Let's make sure we root for the heroine of Taiyo High! All right? Now let's enjoy this fight!" She winks and gives a thumbs up, before stepping back and waiting for the remaining fighters to arrive.
"We gotta lot of sharks out there...Tryin' to take a bite of somethin'...What's hot...Lotta chameleons...Tryin' to change up...Anything new comes along...Everyone wants a bite...Don't happen overnight..." comes a voice musing over the speakers from a corner of the gym, as a larger banner with President George W. Bush's face displayed on it is stretched out across a doorway by two male Taiyo gymnastics team members. The song 'Rock Superstar' by Cypress Hill kicks into motion as Skullomania rips through the banner and pumps his fists into the air, running into the center of the arena and turning to the fans. As the lyrics of the song begin along with the riff and beat, Skullomania bangs his head, a middle aged man in a skeleton suit dancing to gangsta rap in front of Japanese highschool students. He freezes, suddenly, putting his hand to his ear in mock pantomime.
The announcer says, finishing, "And finally, SKULLOMANIA!" The mysterious masked ronin superhero backflips and poses on one hand, his legs split above him, holding the position for half a minute, before he twists and straightens his legs up and then forwards, pushing back onto his feet with his attention directed at Munin and Yuri. Skullomania puts his hands on his hips, puffing his chest out proudly, a wisp of orange chi wrapping around his right leg upwards and flowing around his chest with a sudden flare around his upper body, causing his red scarf to flutter.
With a glance from Yuri, then to Skullo, Munin nods with a slight smirk. She clenches her fists, causing purple chi to flash around her fists "Well lady and gentleman.... shall we?"". Not one to mince words or waste much time it seems, she doesn't hesitate to kick things off personally. Rushing into the middle, she flicks her wrist in the direction of the guy in the skeleton costume, a burst of shadowy chi flying towards the unusual man. She knows Yuri from reputation, knows she is competant in fighting, but isn't sure about this guy, so wants to get an idea about him first..."

Skullomania jerks his hidden gaze to Munin as she rushes into the middle and takes the initiative, himself too busy basking in the praises of Japanese children. He is no Gamera, but at the very least he is Mothra! As the shadow chi flies at him, Skullomania runs straight forward, crossing his arms in front of him as a shield of orange chi forms in front of him.
"HYAAAAAAAAAH!" he screams as the dark chi explodes against his own, the costume around his arms and shoulder smoking as he bursts through the wave and directly at Munin with legs rushing across the gym floor with his crepe soled boots squeaking on the freshly waxed wood. He drops to a crouch as his momentum sends him sliding forward on his knee and toe into close quarters with Munin. "POING!" he exclaims, jerking into a standing position along with his arm, lashing out with a mighty uppercut.
Yuri smiles and waves to the others one last time, before rolling her arms around a few times as if to loosen them up. She looks to Munin and then to Skullomania. "All righty, then, it's time to get it on!" She taps her fists together then gets into her fighting stance, watching as the two others go at it while waiting for one of them to attack her. She frowns as neither of them go after her, instead Munin and Skullomania prefer to go one on one. This causes Yuri to fold her arms and hmmph.
"Oh, I see how it's gonna be! If you don't want to fight me like that, then I'll just have to make you!" Yuri rushes towards Munin, hopefully while she's distracted by Skullomania, and attempts to hit her with a small, but potent, fireball shaped projectile.

On seeing Skullomania rush through her attack at full speed, Munin can't help but nod to herself in her head. He has guts, thats for sure. She prepares to meet his charge when Yuri comes in from the side, throwing a chi projectile her way. With a quick move she bats it away, leaving a small burn on her sleeve, but is distracted just enough as Skullomanias attack comes in, impacting hard in her jaw, and sending her flying, stunned for a moment!
Skullomania's jaw slides to the side as he emits a long, menacing growl, his body flexing as he remains in the end stance of the uppercut for a moment as Munin is sent flying away. His body shaking with tension and strength as he slowly turns to face Yuri, he stares at her for a long moment, evaluating her.
Skullomania's left hand shifts forward, palm towards her as his fingers extend and then clutch the air, his right fist backwards beneath his bent arm and held against his ribs. He slides his left foot forward smoothly, and then pauses, watching her with menace. "Ha!" he suddenly shouts, and leaps forward at Yuri as his side preference reverses and he thrusts his right fist at her, aiming at the space directly between her eyebrows.

Yuri watches as her fireball is blocked, but then she gets caught by Skullomania's attack, and she grins a little. Even if it didn't land properly, her fireball did the trick of drawing attention to her. Unfortunately, it was the wrong attention, as Skullomania had her attention now, and he was trying to punch Yuri between the eyes... or eyebrows if you will. "Oh no you don't!" Yuri says as she tries to twist to the side and dodge the punch, but her movement is a little off, and she gets hit right between the eyebrows, just like Skullomania intended. This causes her to stagger backwards, holding the spot on her forehead with a moan. "Owww... ooh..." She shakes it off, then scowls at Skullomania.
"You just got lucky there! I'm the Queen of Kyokugen, I don't go down easily!" She plants one foot into the ground as she steps the other one towards Skullomania. "And you call THAT a punch? Give me a break! I'll show YOU a punch!" Yuri steps towards Skullomania while bringing her left fist up with a swift strike aimed at Skullomania's chin.
Recovering after a moment, Munin looks on as her opponents go at one another, and decides to just watch them a second. Some pattern in their actions may reveal itself, and give her an advantage in close combat with them. That, and wears them out sooner then herself to be perfectly tactical about it....

Skullomania crouches after the strike forward is successful, watching Yuri briefly with his striking arm held upwards in a 'win' position. He smoothly rises back to a standing position as she recovers, and moves through a practiced performance martial arts block to bring his right palm up to block the left fist. He catches it in his hand and grunts as his fingers absorb the impact, gloved fingertips digging in behind Yuri's knuckles. "Nobody will stop me from being the King of Beers!" he announces, having apparently misunderstood the point of this tournament.
With Munin forgotten now that he's in close combat with Yuri, his right hand twists outwards in an attempt to hold Yuri and twist her guard open on her left, before his own left hand swings around to slap over her forearm and pull her down, then finishing with an upward knee into her elbow. Regardless of the success or failure of the three point martial arts joint lock and strike, he releases with his hands raised up and takes a step backwards, as if washing his hands off the maneuver. It leaves him open for the next attack, if there is one.

Yuri scowls as her punch is blocked. "Aw, that wasn't supposed to happen! Why can't we have an outtakes reel?!" She feels genuinely humiliated, but the feeling is seconded when Skullomania tries to grab at her. She gets caught and finds herself unable to move, until the knee comes up at her elbow. It's only then and there that Yuri tenses herself up, absorbing the impact from the knee and reeling back once she's released. "Ooh... that's really awful!" She shakes her head and then rubs at her sore elbow, trying to put the pain out of her head. Then she remembers Skullomania's comment and she turns to face him again, scoffing.
"The King of Beers?" She tsks and shakes her head. "No true martial artist would ever drink beer! That stuff is no good!" She sticks out her tongue and goes, 'bleah!' She watches Skullomania's movements, but she doesn't rush in like she did before. Just because his hands are raised doesn't mean he's not planning something. Yuri's been in that situation before and it's hurt her big time. She ponders for a moment, then proceeds to launch herself into the air with an arc, while executing a swift spinning kick and aiming her Chuck Taylor sneaker at Skullomania!
As the pair stop for a moment, Munin decides she has watched all she feels she can. Now that their talking a bit, they may remember her and send attacks her way.
Their also close together, and open for a thumping, which is more amusing for the crowd than sitting back!
So she does the dramatic thing: She leaps into their midst, using momentum to add power to the palm strike, a glowing 'spike' of chi formed in her palm as she attempts to slam it into Yuris side. Hit or miss, she swings around to try to grab Skullomanias wrist, kick him in the knee, and twist into a wrist-throw!

"Aha!" Skullomania replies to Yuri, swinging his hands together and interlacing his thumbs to put his hands up over his head, catching the spinning kick and knocking it away with a hard grunt, his hands smashed apart with a deep, painful ache throughout his hands that shake up his arms as if his arms hurt from the insides from the sensitive nerves being slammed. "But I am not a martial artist! No, I am a superhero! Just like Batman, Spider-Man, or Sailor Moon!"
Then, Munin lands between them, and his wrist is caught fast. The kick to the knee causes it to buckle and he drops to a kneel, before he's twisted into a devastating wrist throw on his already stressed arm. "AUUUUGH!" he screams as his wrist and arm sprains, sent rolling away and coming to a halt on his side. He slowly stands, quivering, his right arm disabled and clutched by his left hand, his injured arm shaking and twitching as his fingers go limp and twitch and clutch hard at air, over and over again.
Skullomania knows he must act. For it is a hero that acts in hard times, and these are the hardest of times, times that try men's soles, for the flounder of justice waits at the seafood restaurant for no man, eventually growing cold and sallow! Skullomania runs forward as he releases his arm, and jumps forward with a spin as orange chi bursts around him. His spin is off, however, but he's charging extra fast and twisting, a lopsidedly twisting human missile that arcs over the ground at Munin.

Yuri is caught off-guard in a sense and goes spinning to the ground, but she lands on both feet thankfully. She's been knocked down from that attack before, and it hurts a lot. Which is why she's trained a lot in how to avoid being knocked down in a situation like that. She simply skids on the ground while in a slightly crouched position, landing very close to where Munin is. And it appears Munin wants a piece of the action too. But Yuri's not about to let her get in that easily. No, Yuri's got a trick up her sleeve! She's got a glow of chi in her hands as she brings them down to protect against the chi spike coming at her.
The chi works. The spike is neutralized without any effort on Yuri's part. "Surprise, surprise!" Yuri says with an evil grin. "You picked the wrong time to attack, and now it's gonna cost you!" She crouches down, only to launch into a spinning uppercut while rising into the air, in an attempt to add some insult to injury in this situation with Munin being double-teamed!

Honestly, Munin didn't expect to do THAT much damage to Skullomania. She is a bit suprised by this initially. She hears Yuri behind her saying it'll cost her, and she times her sidestep perfectly, the uppercut passing so close to Munins face that her cheek can feel the rush of air as it passes!
Unfortunately, she is left open to Skullomania, and she attempts to slip past unsuccessfully. His body-missle impacts her solidly in the midsection, knocking the wind out of her and sending her flying into the bulletproof protective glass before landing painfully on the gym floor.
Skullomania impacts into the floor on his hurt arm, grunting in agony as pain shoots up his right side and he rolls into a sitting position with his right leg straight. He leans to his left and slaps his hand onto the ground and moves to his left knee, before rising to a ready position. His eyes slowly slide between Yuri and Munin, as chi swirls around him and kicks up wind around the gymnasium, his crimson touhatsu scarf swirling and flapping rapidly around his neck as he reaches out with his sprained right wrist, forcing himself to flex it and make a fist, gritting his teeth in agony as he spends so much energy restoring some semblance of control. It's painful, but he needs to balance his fire chakra with his water chakra on the other side.

Yuri's attack goes wide, and she lands with a scowl on her face, only to have it lighten up a little as Munin gets caught by Skullomania instead. "Looks like karma came back on ya!" She says, while razzing Munin a little, before turning to face Skullomania, only to raise an eyebrow in surprise at him trying to focus himself or something like that. "Tsk, tsk, tsk!" Yuri says, wagging a finger at Skullomania. "You have to know the right to pause and the wrong time to do so!"
Yuri looks at Skullomania and it looks like she's going to throw an attack at him, but surprisingly, she shows him a little leniency and lets him take a moment to himself. "But I'll come back to that lesson later. Instead, let's continue our fight, shall we?" She says as she faces Munin within her ready stance. "You avoided me just now, but let's see you try that again!" She goes in fast with a swift body blow. "Just try it!"

As Munin stands up, head clearing despite her back aching from the prior impact, Yuri comes in with an attack. This is dealt with very simply: Munin puts up a hand, catching the fist as it comes, making it look effortless despite the force going into her arm instead "You know you talk too much?".
She then tries to pull Yuris arm forward, strike the knee with a kick, twist the arm, and fling Yuri into the plexiglass protection she herself just impacted!
Skullomania juts his jaw forward as he clenches his teeth, feeling the sprain in his right arm tighten up as he corrects it as much as he can. He then exhales through his gritted teeth, loosening his fingers, and striking a grappling pose, fingers open as he watches Munin and Yuri fight. As Munin gains a temporary advantage, he jumps forward and lands in a crouch, before he explodes to his feet in a jumping spin kick with his heel aimed at the side of Munin's head. "HYAH!" he shouts, as his leg makes a wide arc.

Yuri scowls as her fist is caught, but then she widens her eyes as she's drawn in towards Munin. "Get off of me!" Yuri yells as she finds herself kneed and dragged towards Munin and her arm twisted. But just before Munin can throw her, Yuri pulls out quickly, shaking out her arm and scowling. "I do NOT talk too much! If we weren't meant to talk, we wouldn't have mouths!" Yuri doesn't attack just yet. Instead, she stares at the two fighters, then notices how Skullomania still seems intent on going after Munin.
"All right, I'll let you two play for awhile! Whoever's left afterward can play with me some more!" Yuri says as she cracks her knuckles and shakes out the pain from her arm some more. "There's two of you and one of me!"

Since Yuri stops to back off, Munin as a good moment or two to see Skullomanias windup, and guesstimate exactly where and how it's going to go. He plays his cards right into her hand, and when his heel hits her head, it.... passes right through! The chi illusion vanishes abruptly, while the REAL Munin has ducked the attack and circled around Skullo, attempting to land a chi-infused palm strike to the groin as she goes!
Skullomania swings around in the air as his foot passes through Munin's shadow frame, blinking in shock as he's ambushed with a palm strike to his groin. He falls over to the ground on his shoulders with his legs bent, rather comically, screaming in a high pitched wail. He rolls away, kicking as he holds his crotch, managing to get onto his knees. He gets to his feet, shaking, and turns to face Munin, raising his right fist.
Skullomania charges forward, pulling his right fist back. There's a wink of chi, before he thrusts forward with a punch aimed directly at her nose.
With the two of them going at it, Yuri watches and smirks a little. "Nobody wants to play with me, hmm? Then I guess I'll have to rejoin the fight!" She's about to turn on Munin when she remembers the comment that was made about Yuri talking too much a few moments ago, and she shakes her head. "If you don't want me to talk so much, then I won't deal with you just yet!" She turns to face Skullomania. "Instead, it's my turn to play with you!"
Yuri watches Skullomania go in with his attack, while Yuri herself focuses her chi into her fists. "I hope you're ready, because I'm not playing around anymore!" She says. "This is one of the hallmark techniques of a Kyokugen Karate practitioner!" Yuri's chi glow gets bigger and bigger until she finally releases it in the form of a huge fireball, aimed right at Skullomania!

Wao! Munin just barely gets her arms up in a crossblock in time to protect herself from Skullo's striike! Her forearms go numb a moment from the sheer impact, but her guard holds!
Ever the opportunist, she slips out of the way as Yuri announces her intent on who to attack, and comes at the young karateka from the side as she prepares her projectile, rushing in with a simple running kick to the face with momentum behind it!

Skullomania feels a jet of white hot agony shoot through his fist and into his shoulder, visibly trembling from the pain of the hard blow on a wounded arm being blocked. He stumbles backwards a step, in time to look over his shoulder at a massive fireball flying at him.
The Masked Man pulls his arms up to block it, but he's still sent flying off his feet and across the slick gymnasium floor, spinning on his back in circles as he does so. He finally hits the plexiglass guard for the fans, laying there for a good ten seconds, completely fried and smoking, his outfit in tatters.
Skullomania stares up at the ceiling, dazed and confused, until he hears a girl cry out, "You can do it, mister skeleton!" Feeling infused with the support of at least one fan, world hero and used car salesman Skullomania begins to hard and long process of getting back to his feet while covered in second and third degree burns, having gotten an incredibly painful blow to his testicles, and of course the nasty arm twist that was inflicted on him earlier in the fight.
"BANZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI!" comes a shout as he runs at Yuri, intent on paying her back for the fireball. He drops to the ground and turns himself into a living torpedo, sliding across the floor at her on a collision course with her ankles, twisting up into a spinning paired kick as he gets close. He flies into the air as he springs off the ground, and keeps spinning into the air, until he slams into the basketball hoop at one side of the gym and gets caught inside, head first and unconscious.

As Skullomania comes at Yuri, she tries to get out of the way while somehow focusing on launching another fireball at Munin. Unfortunately, it cuts both ways, since Yuri is hit by Skullomania, but his hit doesn't stop her from launching her fireball at Munin. The kick grazes the side of her face as she goes down to the gym floor, while Yuri's projectile strikes Munin. Yuri lies flat on the floor, struggling to get back up and remembering other students are watching. "Darn it, I hate when this happens!" Yuri grunts as she forces herself onto her feet.
Yuri's fighting stance is more forced, and she's slightly hunched over. "But I'm gonna prove that Kyokugen is truly the toughest!" Her voice is weakened and the voice is forced, but she's still got that fighting spirit in her!
The chi attack from Yuri does knock Munin back a few steps, but nothing more. The shadowy fighter doesn't seem to let it stop her, and guessing that Yuri would stop to make some inane comment, doesn't wait for her to recover!
As Yuri comments about 'being the toughest', Munin is already upon almost upon her, going for a fast running punch to the face, clean and simple!

A punch to the face can be considered clean and simple to some, but to Yuri it's rather painful. The blow causes her to stagger backwards, causing her vision to shake and shiver, while her body begins to feel more and more like jelly by the minute. Still, Yuri refuses to be beaten that easily. Every Kyokugen fighter knows that if they can still take one final attempt at taking down their opponent, they will do so. Yuri knows that doing this will cause her to pass out when she's done, but it's worth the risk she believes. She focuses what's left of her chi into her hands, that is all the chi she has as well as the remaining will to keep fighting...
Then Yuri shoots out several large fireballs from her hands consecutively, the last one being followed by Yuri collapsing to her knees then falling flat on her face. As for Munin, well, that depends on how good her defense is!

At first, when Yuri staggers, Munins first hope is (Yes... PLEASE just go down and stay there!). Then Yuris fireballs come rushing at her....
That thought quickly becomes (Oh shit!)
Black and purple chi swells around Munins hands, and she digs in her heels as she eyes the velocities and trajectories of the incoming fire. She slips through or sidesteps the ones she can, and uses the chi buffering her hands to deflect, or outright stop, those that would actually impact. Many come VERY close to landing, but just as she's about to hit her limit, the barrage stops, and Yuri is unconscious.
Taking a breath, Munin walks out into the middle of the gym, raking in the applause as the crowd applauds a battle well fought on all sides, and the medics move in to check everyones injuries.
