Description: After some concerned phone calls by a loyal neighbor (Who may or may not run the Todoh Dojo) the Kyokugen Dojo is receiving an audit. But due to the some... instances in the past, they have brought in ace Private Eye Brandon Malone of the Knights of Swords and Wands to assist in an investigative audit of the dojo. In order to keep it under wraps, however, Brandon has been infiltrated into the dojo through the front of a Saturday Night Fight. Brandon will be entrusted not only to face down Yuri in a battle... but use the opportunity to investigate the most pressing issue: What was all those bear-related insurance payments all about?
Brandon was supposed to investigate Kyokugen Dojo to make sure all their paperwork was in order. However the proprietors had a reputation of not quite making it easy. When they hired Brandon Malone, they were scared... Very, very scared. Even as they related the stories to him the arcane detective, Brandon found himself visibly cringing in sympathy. He wasn't so sympathetic as to do this job pro bono.
Brandon showed up early to allow himself time to investigate, while the SNF crew ran around like chickens with their heads cut off, Brandon flexed the one advantage he had over those other auditors... Light based magic. In this particular case, it was his illusions which as long as he moved carefully, was rendered invisible. It wasn't something he could pull off during combat but it allowed him to slip in and take pictures of various documents, like the bear food deduction documents, the wrecking ball purchase document, and various breakables like wood boards, bricks, and cinder blocks documents. There were also other documents of questionable use.
When the fight is supposed begin, the arcane investigator moves towards the entrance of the dojo and fades into view as he gradually releases the spell. As he does so, he shuffles his deck of energy charged tarot cards.
Unlike Brandon, who seems intent on using stealth to make his entrance, Yuri herself prefers to make more of a flashy entrance, prancing into the dojo area and grinning. "Ta-daaaaaaaaah! Heeeere's Yuri!" She cries out cheerfully. "It's time for an awesome demonstration of Kyokugen Karate! Then again, if you were here already, you'd be expecting that wouldn't you?" She rolls her arm around as if to loosen it up for something, before she turns and spies her opponent entering. When she sees how he's entering, Yuri smirks a little. "Well, that's a cool trick! You gotta teach me how to do it sometime!"
Of course, once the crew has set up shop and everything's in place, the main focus turns to the fight. "Or maybe if you win, you can show it to me then. Not that it's going to easily happen, since Kyokugen is the kick-butt style of karate!" She razzes him and slaps her rear, which might make him wonder if the warnings that were spoken of were true. "Come on, I'm ready for ya!"

When Brandon sees Yuri prancing into the dojo, he cringes and instantly regrets not trying to squeeze even more money out of the auditors who hired him specifically for this particular case. He remembers her from the Killer Instinct tournament. And his shoulders slumps and he sighs.
"My record is pretty good against you so far, kid. Will it be different this time? Who knows?"
He claps his hands and the deck of tarot cards vanish from sleight of hand. He tilts his head and sighs when she slaps her rear end. His voice practically oozes sarcasm. "You're the epitome of maturity, kid."
He then brings his hands up in a Hitman boxing stance, aka. the Philly Shell. However, his hands are open as he waits for the official to start the fight.

As Brandon speaks, Yuri does a double-take, as she remembers Brandon from the Killer Instinct tournament as well. "It will be different! I'm gonna kick your butt good and you're gonna wish that you hadn't messed with the queen of the awesome Kyokugen Karate style!" She shakes her head with her hands on her hips. "You were just lucky last time! You got me out of my natural habitat! But that was different. Here in my natural place, I'm totally awesome!" She grins now.
Yuri gets into her fighting stance, almost like a traditional karate style fighting stance, only with Yuri bouncing on her heels almost like she's had too much sugar or something. A few moments later, the signal to fight is given, and Yuri wastes no time in getting underway. "Here in the Kyokugen Dojo, we don't hold ANYTHING back!" Yuri yells as she rushes at Brandon. "I'm gonna make you feel the power of true Kyokugen karate!" She spins as she approaches Brandon, attempting to lift her leg up and deliver a roundhouse kick, heel first, at her opponent.

As that kick comes in, Brandon edges in with a step forward as he turns, taking the impact on his shoulder hoowever it's still enough to still feel a bit of a sting to it. Inwardly, Brandon muses to himself, 'It must be nice not need to hold anything back.'
Then as that kicking foot is returning to the ground, a glowing card appears in the mystical detective's hand as he performs a slash with the energy imbued card, right across the abdomen. "You talked a good game then too."

As Yuri's foot is deflected back, she stumbles a little, hopping on her free foot before getting her other foot back down on the ground. She rubs at her leg, slightly sore from the impact, but otherwise unfazed. Quickly resuming her stance, she thinks to herself, "Guess I mistimed it there, I'll have to do better next time!"
Then the cards come out and Yuri's staring at them like a child fascinated with something. She wonders what they're capable of, and one of them is intent at slashing at her abdomen. Fortunately for her, Yuri knows how to defend in a situation like that by clenching her abdominal muscles tightly, so that the slash is mostly minor in how it hits. Had she not done that, she might be bleeding.
"I know, I love to talk the talk! It's so much fun!" Yuri says as she recovers from the attack. "Of course, if you can't walk the walk, it's no use, which is why I'm always trying to keep walking!" She starts towards Brandon, looking like she's going slowly, but then abruptly leaps into the air and then sends forth a fireball at Brandon. "Catch this!"

The ball of energy doesn't look like much... at first. But then he realizes just a little to late that not only is moving faster than he expected but that it packed significantly more energy than he was expecting as well. At the last moment he tries to side step but it's too late and he gets blown completely off of his feet and sent into a wild spin and upon hitting the ground, skidding until he finally coming to a halt.
He rises back to his feet, dusts himself off and returns his fedora to his head before walking back towards the Kyokugen practioner. His movements are slow at first but then walk becomes a jog, jog becomes a full on run. As he runs, a new card appears in his hand as his entire body becomes illuminated. He becomes an energy bolstered freight train attempting to take the Kyokugen fighter her feet.

As Yuri lands on the ground, she smiles, proud of herself that she hit so well with that projectile. Unfortunately she gets a bit caught up in the moment there and doesn't realize what Brandon's planning next... until it's too late. Indeed, the freight train crashes into Yuri, and down she goes onto the ground! She lands flat on her back, wincing in pain and groaning before using a kippup to get back onto her feet! "Wow, so that is what it feels like to be a training dummy! Totally not cool!" She says, rubbing her rear without regard to how impolite it must look.
Turning to face Brandon again, Yuri scowls. "Don't feel so proud, I just made a slight boo-boo is all! Although a boo-boo is gonna be trivial compared to what I'm gonna do to you!" She attempts to grab Brandon and throw her over her shoulder in a swift manner.

Brandon had intended to go limp and become dead weight making it more difficult for her to pick him up and subsequently throw him down to ground. Unfortunately, her positioning is perfect and he doesn't quite limp in time. His hip is shifted out of position and by then it's too late to stop what is happening. He goes up and over and then hits ground with a slight grunt.
He looks down at the fedora that has left his head once more and then he sighs as he reaches down to grab it and place it on his head once more.
Brandon doesn't immediately get back to his feet but instead, he launches himself at Yuri aiming to tackle her down to the ground. If he's able to do that, a glowing card will suddenly appear in his hand and then a sword of golden light will come into existence stabbing downwards at her before disappearing.

Yuri dusts her hands off and smirks arrogantly. "Ha, that's the secret of Kyokugen Karate! To trick your opponent and then catch them when they're off guard!" She runs a hand through her hair and her grin turns more noticeable, almost like she's being more smug than she should be. "But I'm sure you've got more there!" Her comment is answered when Brandon gets back up and then comes at her quickly. In fact, it's a bit too quick for her to dodge, so she braces herself for impact.
When Brandon does connect, though, Yuri's not going down that easily. Instead, just as she starts to fall, she rolls backwards and quickly launches into her Dragon Punch imitation, leaping quickly into the air with a swift uppercut! It's true that the tackle her hurt her quite a bit, but it probably hurt Brandon a bit too! "Another trick is that you try to let your opponent think they've got you down only to then spring back at them!" She laughs. "It's sooooo awesome!"
He feels the charging attack connect, at least partially but when he brings up the card to summon the energy sword, that about the point where the fist connects with his jaw and sends both him and his fedora flying once more.
When he gets up, he doesn't bother picking the hat up this time. He's taking deep breaths... Part of him is considering reaching directly into that power of his. That temptation is always there. After the beating he's taken at this point, the best case scenario is mutually assured destruction and worst case is that he's risking hurting himself for no good reason.
A new card appears in his hand and as he holds it up a ball of energy launches from it making a b-line right for the Kyokugen practioner. But even as it travels towards her, he moves forward behind the ball of light.

A ball of light? Typical projectile nonsense for Yuri. She can take it, she'll just bring up her hands and energize them with a shield of chi, and then--
POW!!
Yuri doesn't bring her hands up in time. She goes staggering backwards then drops to one knee. She gasps for air as she pushes herself back up. "OK, that's not how it's supposed to go!" Yuri complains. "I just missed my timing there, that's all! Normally I should be sending that back at YOU!" She sounds more annoyed than anything. "It's not cool nor is it fair!"
"Actually... Last time we fought..."
His lips curled into a grin for the first time since the beginning of the fight. He hands move to brush off his shirt and his vest before returning to his modified Hitman stance.
"You used that move to send your attack back at me. I was expecting you to do that this time when I used that particular card."
That's when he rubs his hands together and the Magician card is replaced with the Fool card. Depending on Yuri's state of consciousness, she might remember seeing this card brought forth a massive swirling ball of prismatic energy to contest the energy she sent at him. Before it took a sneeze to keep him from fully casting it but he's definitely not sneezing now. The giant swirling mass goes flying towards Kyokugen practitioner.

"Sometimes, we all make mistakes!" Yuri says with a scowl and sticking out her tongue, before bringing her defense up again. She doesn't want to risk making another mistake again. It's a good thing too, since that looked painful. Yuri finds herself sliding backwards on her heels as the attack hits her. She grunts and doubles over, feeling like she's really beaten herself up this fight. But she's in the Kyokugen Dojo, and she's not about to make herself look like a fool. "All right, now it's really time to show you what the Kyokugen style is truly about! This is what we do when we're in trouble! We bring out the awesome attacks!"
Yuri plants her feet into the ground and focuses her chi into her hands. "Of course, we only do this when we have to, because it takes a lot of focus! But the reuslt is worth it!" She brings her hands back behind her as the chi continues to grow. "Usually it means I give the other one a proper buttkicking! Unless they get lucky, which I doubt you will!" She shoots forth the chi in the shape of a HUGE fireball, aimed right at Brandon, and possibly looks to keep going after it hits him!

Brandon finds himself breathing heavy. Significantly heavier than he did in their first fight. It was difficult for him to actually stay in this fight whereas before, he had it was an ill-timed sneeze that made him lose concentration and get hit with a potent attack. He's too tired to waste his breath on words especially when he now has a massive ball of energy getting ready to slam right into him.
The Fool card disappears from one hand as the other hand suddenly moves forward with Emperor card held in his finger tips. He closes his eyes and focus as a circular shield formed out of golden light appears to intercept the ball of energy and he pushes a bit more energy into it to return it back to where it came from.

As soon as Yuri's attack comes back at her, she grits her teeth and silently prays that she's got a miracle in store. She closes her eyes and prays for this to work. She raises her hands and calls out the words for her energy shield again. And unlike before, this time it actually works! Her energy field pops up and catches her projectile that's coming back at her! But it doesn't just stop there, oh no, that would be too good! Instead, it goes back at Brandon!
Once Yuri realizes what she's done, she gasps with relief and smirks a little. "Looks like we've got a game of ping-pong going! The question is, who's gonna lose first?" She asks while taking a few deep breaths. "Hopefully it won't be me, as that would be totally uncool!"

Brandon doesn't even bother with trying to send it back because even with her being successful it helped his own particular goals. With it bouncing back and forth it was losing significant amounts of energy. He tries to bring up his guard to take it on his forearms but the energy is so dispersed that it practically washes over him. It hurts and it forces him to stumble backwards but it wouldn't do nearly as much harm to him if it got through unopposed.
He moves forward before leaping in and slapping one of the tarot cards on her letting it stick to her shoulder as he leaps away from her. As a delayed reaction, the tarot card detonates with a small explosion of light energy.
COMBATSYS: Brandon successfully hits Yuri with Random Strike.

A small explosion that hurts quite a bit. Yuri stumbles from the explosion and staggers around a little. "Oooh... ungh..." She grunts, lost for words for the time being. Then she mutters, "Father, I'm sorry I failed..." She grits her teeth, trying not to fall down again, because she knows she won't get back up. "So uncool..." Yuri adds. "Can't go down... but I..." She shakes one of her fists, attempting to focus what remains of her chi into it.
"If I go down..." She mutters, "I take you with me!" She shoots forth a small fireball from her hand at Brandon, almost like a last ditch effort before she drops to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

Brandon was certain he could get out of the way but his feet refuses to respond. Knowing that if ball of energy touches him he's done for. For some reason, no matter how much he wills them to move they don't. His eyes bulge wide open right before the ball of energy hits him dead in the chest singeing his white vest and tie right before he hits the ground.
As he stares at the ceiling as he whispers, "You'll never know how much of luxury you have in knowing that you'll never need to hold back, kid."
Even though, he's fully awake, he closes his eyes and lets the med staff take care of him. At this point it's all he can do.
