A discharged ex-soldier and mercenary employed as a security officer by Arctel, Veronica is often tasked with providing security for (and keeping in line) the semi-autonomous research labs that the company subsidizes. When a laboratory developing bio-organic weapons was breached, though, she was the only member of her old team deployed to survive - and found herself infected in the process by a mysterious parasite. Now, the parasite in her arm has given it a monstrous form - one that can transform into a number of shapes for combat purposes. The question is, when her horrific secret comes to light, who will she be able to trust? With the influence of the parasite infecting her normally honourable and level-headed nature with chaotic and base impulses, perhaps not even herself...
