It's almost impossible to believe that the murderous Gear known as Testament was once a kind, gentle young man who came to hate fighting so much that he refused to lift a finger to harm anyone or anything. Ashamed of his pacifism in the face of his adoptive father's bravery, he jumped at the opportunity when the UN approached him with an offer to help him fight better. But in truth he was used for the Gears project, where he was supposed to be turned into a mindless soldier who lived only to follow orders. But something went wrong. Somehow he regained his free will... and immediately murdered his captors when he realized what they'd tried to do to him. Testament is usually seen wielding his blood-scythe in battle, though he also uses his chi to physically manipulate his own blood, shaping it into all matter of deadly forms. He is aided by Zio, a succubus who most often takes the form of a raven. Ultimately all he cares about is destroying his opponents. Who are his opponents? Humans, who would use him, and all those like him, for their own selfish ends.
