A man that, according to His Royal Grandness, needs no introduction... "The Main Man" Hunter Grand has been exactly that since God gifted him to this Earth. Cradled in golden gloves and fed with a silver spoon since the beginning of Grandness, "The Main Man" Hunter Grand had no choice but to become a spoiled and entitled rich kid, considering that both of his parents were rolling in so much dough that he never wanted or needed anything. Raised in an expensive high rise, "The Main Man" Hunter Grand had all the time in the world to dream and simply live his life the way he wanted. Eventually, he bought his way into Cornell and it was at this Ivy League university that he learned that his future would be in: Sports Entertainment. This discovery of natural wrestling talent and physical ability was something that "The Main Man" Hunter Grand didn't want to let go of. Not to mention the fact that it was giving him the chance to be adored and looked upon by many unworthy eyes. This was his chance. This was his opportunity. This was his shot to take something that was already a global phenomenon and turn it into something more. Something better. Something Grander: Him.
|Style:||The Grandest of All Time|
|Signature Move:||Grand Stand -- PHYSICAL|
|Signature Ability:||MANIPULATE -- SHROUD|
Raised in an expensive high rise, overlooking the city of New York, "The Main Man" Hunter Grand had all the time in the world to dream and simply live his life the way he wanted to. Growing up, he attended private schools, as he was simply too far above the socio-economic failure the peons of public school were trapped within. It was there that he learned that his future would be in... whatever he wanted it to be in. He realized, early on, that the way to make it in the world was to strike hard and strike fast, biting and grabbing at Opportunity whenever it presented itself and never letting go until one's goal was reached. This belief system (and his parental units' never-ending surplus of cash) is what got him through school without a care in the world.
What "The Main Man" Hunter Grand lacked in academic talents he made up for with being a conniving and clever little bastard that managed to weasel his way out of anything that would dare come his direction. What he couldn't weasel out of, he bought his way out of. And what couldn't be bought, was threatened. And when all else failed (by some strange twist of fate), "The Main Man" Hunter Grand would tackle the problem personally. This is where he was first introduced to the world of sports entertainment. Well, sports anyway.
"The Main Man" Hunter Grand blessed the Ivy League school of Columbia with his presence for two years before he found himself in a debacle with a rival student. They would argue. They would threaten each other. They would almost come to blows on numerous occasions. You see, "The Main Man" Hunter Grand believed himself to be better than everyone else, especially this loser who shall remain nameless for the sake of not glorifying such a total dolt. Their differences could not be settled and it was starting to disrupt the classes that "The Main Man" Hunter Grand's parents were paying good money for. It became such a big problem that the idiot challenged "The Main Man" Hunter Grand to a battle that would end their feud forever.
They met on neutral territory: The Gym. Where they would battle it out in a dance of physicality and wits in a neutral form: Wrestling. An unsanctioned match that was set to blow the roof off The Gym, as the stakes had never been higher. The loser of said unsanctioned match would have to drop out of school and never return. "The Main Man" Hunter Grand used both his mind and his money to garner training from those wrestling scholarship idiots and some assistance from a couple of professionals in sports entertainment and to make a long and obvious story short: "The Main Man" Hunter Grand graduated from his choice of education. The foolish rival has yet to be seen or heard from since.
This discovery of natural talent and physical ability was something that "The Main Man" Hunter Grand didn't want to let go of. Not to mention the fact that it was giving him the chance to be adored and looked upon by many eyes. Conversations with professional wrestlers helped to sell "The Main Man" Hunter Grand on the idea of taking this wrestling thing more seriously. This was his chance. This was his opportunity. This was his shot to take something that was already a global phenomenon and turn it into something more. Turn it into: Him.
"The Main Man" Hunter Grand took a small break from the world of Sports Entertainment in order to focus on the expansion and grandeur of Grand Enterprises since the multi-billion dollar corporation recently fell into his full control. Using the endless surplus of money from Grand Enterprises, "The Main Man" Hunter Grand created the subsidiary Grand Entertainment through which he has branched out into the world of Fighting Entertainment by opening his own federation: The Hunter Grand Experience.
Now, "The Main Man" Hunter Grand travels the world as the HGX Grand Slam Champion, boasting it as the most prestigious championship in the history of Fighting Entertainment. Taking on all challengers, The Grand One seeks to prove that he truly is, as he says, The End All, Be All of Sports and Fighting Entertainment.
