Bryan Fury is officially deceased. Or rather, he was. In his previous "life", he was a skilled officer in the Hong Kong branch of the International Police Organization, but that was only on the surface. Behind the scenes, Bryan was a corrupt cop with dealings in drug trafficking. Before he could be brought to justice, he was killed in a gang shootout. A proper burial was denied when Doctor Abel, a devious underground researcher whose works seek to rival G Corporation's Doctor Boskonovitch, collected his body. Doctor Abel seeks to create the perfect cyborg army, and for that, he feels that he needs Doctor Boskonovitch's research. Through advanced cybernetic and other unknown methods, Bryan Fury has been reanimated with the purpose of collecting the data that his "savior" needs, and he'll stop at nothing to get it. Gifted with enhanced strength and longevity, Bryan has often been referred to as a zombie soldier.
