Match of the Millennium

Loud and a little slow mentally, but well-meaning and honest, is the best way to describe Marco Rodriguez. He isn't stupid, but really complex matters tend to fly right over his head. He is however extremely devoted to the martial arts, and is quite strong. He considers a steel wrecking ball to be a suitable punching bag, and a bear a fine training partner. Currently a senior instructor at the Kyokugen Dojo in Southtown, he hopes to one day surpass Ryo Sakazaki and be allowed to reopen the Kyokugenryuu Dojo he once opened in his home country of Brazil. His style is closer to Takuma's version of Kyokugen, though elements resembling Ryo's variant can be seen as well. As a senior instructor, Marco is very protective of the dojo, almost as much as the Sakazakis are, and will be among the first to seek revenge against anyone trying to damage it or its students.
