Banyu
"I have fought creatures far bigger then you- You will fall before my harpoon, as have they!"
Banyu is a old, weathered, Madurese Indonesian fisherman that has left the seas to fight in the world's many fighting circuits to earn funds for the struggling village he calls his home. Armed with his local style of Pencak-Silat, known as 'Pamur', he makes for a fearsome foe with his strong build and mighty blows. He combines the more traditional aspects of his newly learned discipline with techniques inspired from his days as a fisherman, and a supernatural sense of balance from the endless rocking of his boat. His stoic, honest demeanor veils the fierce temper and stubbornness that the people of Madura are known for. For all Banyu's admirable, and less admirable traits, one can't help but wonder if the lonely fisherman is entirely sane; He makes wild claims about oceanic monsters he's had to face down over the years- Especially the sea serpent that supposedly finally beat him and chased him away from the ocean he loved so much. But, such creatures can't possibly be real, can they?
