Takako Fujiwa is a mystery. Having been brought into the world by Shang Tsung's agents, the teenager's mind is a jumble of strange and contradictory memories recalling a time and a place which may never have been. Takako is a violent, angry young woman who forever seeks to perfect her art - the family style of Kendo which throws caution to the wind and embraces the possibility of death in every moment. Perhaps it is that very style of combat which made her stand out to the strange forces guiding Kombat, or perhaps it was simply that her warrior's spirit refused to allow itself to be snuffed out quietly. Certainly, nothing else about the girl is quiet. Either way, Takako's burning heart guides her, and now more than ever she follows her instincts. Those instincts tell her one simple truth: any answers worth learning, will be found on the field of battle!
