Hero. Legend! Dan Hibiki, the living legend, possesses the heart of a true warrior, and shows it frequently. Even if, unfortunately, he lacks the talents. Son of Go Hibiki, a famed Muay Thai fighter who challenged Sagat and lost his life to Sagat's rage after Go accidentally took his eye. Since then, Dan, who was barely trained in Muay Thai by his father, fights under the battlecry of 'Oyaji!'--Japanese slang for 'Old Man'. Dan sought training in the legendary Ansatsuken karate style, and because of his iron will, he was accepted...for a time. Older than Ryu and Ken, Dan seldom noticed his younger fellow students. Eventually, however, Gouken realized that Dan would only use his skills to kill, and refused to train him any further. Alone once again, Dan came to develop his own style, Saikyo-ryu, a mixture of Muay Thai, Ansatsuken, and his own tricks. It may not seem powerful, but his strength is not in his techniques, but his clever nature and willpower. Dangerous to those who underestimate him most of all, Dan believes himself to be far stronger than he actually is. Miraculously, he hasn't gotten himself killed yet, mostly by luck alone.
