Description: The Kasagi girls are thrown to eachother by the hands of destiny yet again!
Yokohama was the perfect city for Mimiru's kind of business : crowded with people, building and all sort of traffic, express delivery made by special agents were quite in demand for all sort of important merchandise. Fate brought her back to Japan after so many years away from her home country, Mimiru uses this opportunity to perform a job or two.
Mimiru's making her way through the crowded street with her roller blades. Goggles on to protect her eyes, she races through the streets easily, dodging cars, bicycles and people alike, gracefully making her way through the traffic. Some might say she's a rolling danger, but Mimiru's fully aware of her surrounding and every turns she takes are always well calculated. She's currently wearing a back-sack, as well as her shoulder bag... Either carrying her important delivery in there, or she just returned from it, who knows, but she's definately not wasting any time.
Coincidentally, Jira had decided to spend the next day or two in bed. Or, atleast at home after her encounter earlier that day. She wasn't feeling quite the best, still nauseus after that encounter, and had thus ordered a bunch of comfort things online for same-day delivery, as only Japan could do. Penthouse suite in one of the many apartment towers in the residential area and with her hair down for once!
Perhaps melodramatically, she's laying back on a sofa with an arm drooped over the edge and the back of her other palm on her forehead, head itself hanging off the arm while she waits for that delivery.
It doesn't take long after Jira actually placed her order that someone actually knocks at the door. After all, there were three things this shipping company promised : fast delivery, safe delivery and anonymity.
While Mimiru waits at the door, she hums softly to herself, taking her goggles off from her head, glancing around to take a moment to realize just where this delivery brought her. Mimiru's so used not to ask questions that she didn't even bother about what the package was. She takes it out from her backpack.
Jira was quick to roll off the couch and get up to her feet, then make the 'long' trek to the door. She opens it up without any second thought and eyes the delivery gi-
"You're cousin Jiro's sister..." she immediately murmurs, taken aback and stumbling- almost hitting her head on the door frame and opening the door fully, eyes moving to the package. "Are you the deliveryperson?" she asks, bewilderment still filling her voice. She wasn't expecting to see her female cousin again, let alone at her own doorstep!
When Jira opens the door, she catches Mimiru with the package in one hand, while her eyes are lowered to her open shoulder bag, seeking for the electronic pad to get Jira's signature. The noise of the door opening cause her to lift her eyes up, but instead of the general warming smile she offers to her clients, this time, Mimiru's expression is one of surprise.
For a second, she loses her balance but she quickly catches herself. She was still in her roller blade, after all (too much trouble to take them off).
She seems taken off guard, not knowing what to say. Last time she saw this woman was at the airport, and she can't say she remembers all the details of their conversation. After a moment of silence and staring at Jira dumb-founded, Mimiru snaps out of it and she blinks a few times, "Huh, yeah, I'm the delivery girl," She says, handing out the box she had under her arm to Jira.
Jira chuckles, catching Mimi's having issues with balance as well. "A-anyway, how is Yoko ba-san? Have you seen her recently? I haven't heard much of that side of the family, even at home." she murmurs, accepting the package with a literal shine to her eyes. "It's lonely out here with nobody to talk to." she finally admits. Her partner is fine, sure, but that's totally different. They are fully exposed to one another at all times, and it's not like Akabara is a conversationalist. Of which, her gun is, as usual, hanging from her left hip.
Mimiru frowns a bit at Jira's question. A shiver runs down her spine at the thought of her mother, but she manages to put a strong front and keep a cold expression, "I haven't seen Yoko since I left Southtown years ago..." Though she can help but feel a pinch at her heart at the thought of how long has passed since she saw her, and so many questions echo in her mind after Jira's one.
She takes a moment to stare at Jira a bit more closely. Her face seems somewhat familiar, but it's a real distance memory she has. Not like her family ever kept strong bond with the rest of the Kasagi. She must have seen Jira a few times, when they were younger, but still, it felt weird to see a relative like that after such a long exile out of Japan.
She offers Jira a smile, "When was the last time you saw her?" Mimiru asks, her voice obviously curious and eager to know the answer. She then arches a brow and says, "Jira, wasn't it...?" She asks, a bit unsure.
Jira withdraws ever so slightly at Mimi's response, she hadn't meant to trigger such a reaction. The glow in her eyes dim slightly. She remains rather quiet and takes a slow glance over Mimi, looking a little like the pictures at home. But it's obvious Jira won in the feminine development race.
"Last time.. I was so young, I hardly remember. I heard about the collar incident, was it true? And yes, Jira. My parents named me after Jiro, in hopes I'd be strong like him." she replies, stepping back from her door. "You have time to come in?" she asks.
Mimiru's lips curl into a faint smirk. Somehow, she doubts that last line was true, but even if it's not, it's somewhat heart warming. At least, that Jira believes she was named after Jiro because of his good virtues and strength. She doesn't mention those doubts though.
Mimiru nods her head, a soft nostalgic chuckle escaping her throat, "Yes, yes... It's true..." She can't help but wonder how she heard about it, "But that's a rather long story..."
She seems to hesitate for a moment at the last question, "I need your signature first," Mimiru says, offering her the electronic pad along with the stylet. "I suppose I could come in for a few minutes..." Mimiru offers.
Mimiru arches a brow and says, "I was certain you left Japan a while ago..." Mimiru adds.
Jira shakes her head at it, half giggling. "A long story, I'd bet." she teases. But, Jira does accept the pad and scribbles in her signature. "I'd love to have you in!" she replies, and shakes her head. "I had a small vacation, the gaia tournament. But never actually left japan.. my half of the family was rather.. reclusive and close. You can imagine."
Jira looks at the package and sighs, her sensei was certainly going to be unhappy about this. Hopefully managable levels of unhappy, and not violent. No need to level the city over a family visit, right?
Mimiru takes the electronic pad and she puts it back into her shoulder bag, closing it. She then takes a step in, unsure : it was the first time one of her client actually invited her in for a talk afterall, but Jira was slightly different. "I can't say we've seen much of the rest of the family either... I don't think Yoko's marriage and divorce with an american was well seen in the family," At the very least, that's what Mimiru has hypothesed on the subject.
She takes a step in, with her roller blades, unsure how far she should go or if she should remove them. She stays not too far from the entrance, "So... Did you manage to become as strong as Jiro..?" Mimiru asks, lips curling into a faint smile, "You have a nice apartment... I take it you're into the fighting business?" Mimiru asks.
Jira closes the door, and only locks the handle. Easy out. Then she steps off the hard flooring and onto the carpet, up the small step and to the floor proper.. it's actually very spacious in here, living area, kitchen, beds, and a large metal door off to somewhere else. And bathroom doors in each section, as well as a balcony off on the other side. Jira shrugs. "I haven't actually fought Jiro, so I don't know.. But, my sensei gave me this apartment to live in during my training. I haven't done any fighting outside the gaia tournament, or that trip in paris. You might've seen the, um, ice skating match at Thailand last week?" she says.
"So, what about you? How strong are you nowadays?"
Mimiru watches Jira close the door and walk into the room. Mimiru remains wary, but she doesn't seem to worry too much about Jira or any potential threat. She kneels down to remove the locks on her roller blade.
Once she's free of her skates, she walks further inside the apartment. It was spacious, and Mimiru knows that things like that in Yokohama are a rare comodity. She shakes her head slowly, "Not really... I rarely watch television..." She admits. She smiles at Jira and says, "I hope you did well though, no doubt... If the Kasagi blood runs into your veins after all," Seems like Mimiru's a lot more friendly than her previous encounter at the airport.
"Oh, you know..." She shrugs, "I haven't fought in a while, I'm pretty sure you'd be much better than I am," Mimiru lies.
Jira keeps a warm smile on her face. But she does move to a sofa with her package. Compared to their last meeting, she seems lethargic and a little queasy. But still delighted for the chance visit. She gives a nod to the mention of television rarity. "I don't keep track of it either, it gets surreal." she confides, and smiles hearing that Kasagi lineage had meaning. But she does tsk. "I know you're way above my capabilities, my partner can feel it. Yoko got the combat capability, I'm just borrowing mine." she replies honestly. "I saw two men yesterday.. so horribly strong. Just being near them almost made me drop."
Mimiru arches a brow, a little confused at Jira's explanations, "Burrowing yours...?" She asks, approaching the sofa. She doesn't sit though, preferring to remain behind it. When she speaks about those men Jira saw, Mimiru can't help but frown a bit. Mimiru can almost feel the dread and strength those men she's speaking of must have possessed, and somehow, she feels that Jira's current behavior must be related to that encounter.
She rests her hands on Jira's shoulder, a warm smile growing on her lips, "I hope you didn't do anything stupid..." Mimiru says. Like a true Kasagi, she bets she ended up fighting or trying to fight one of them...
Jira nods, patting her gun. "Yeah, my partner gives be a bit of power and an easy way to manipulate and focus it." she replies. "I'm normally just your average japanese woman..." for some reason, she blushes at that. "A-anyway, I promised one of them a fight when I'm stronger.. or rather, he left me for dead and said he'd hunt me down when I was strong enough to challenge him. First time I've been suffocated to passing out and not filmed for it." she says with a nervous chuckle. "He was so strong... his aura made the water boil and the clouds foam and bubble.. His punch made the ocean quake and duck in fear. I didn't think such natural power was possible. Or that much anger." definately shaken, but for some reason she's still embarassed on something.
Mimiru's lips curl into a smile and she lifts her hand up to ruffle Jira's hair a bit, "Eh, don't think about it too much. I doubt he'd do that..." Mimiru says. She then shrugs at Jira and says, "I wouldn't worry about it, you're still in one piece after all, eh? If there's something I've learned about fighting is that there's always someone stronger than you are out there..." Mimiru says, "There's no shame in losing, after all.."
Jira nods, giggling at the hair ruffles. "Yeah, probably not. He didn't seem interested in me, and I doubt I will ever get that strong." and chuckles. "So how have things been for you since your return to Japan?" she asks and peeks upwards, leaning her head on the back of the sofa. Her embarassment seems to have faded for now.
With a shrug of her shoulder, Mimiru says, "If you perserve and keep training hard, you never know where it might take you..." She smiles at Jira and then adds, "But... It's important to go one step at a time," She says.
Mimiru puts her hands in the front pocket of her jacket, "Oh, hum... Okay, I guess. Doing various deliveries..." She came here just to be longer with Alma... And thinking back about it, nothing's holding her here, "I.. Might be leaving soon," She adds, "Never know where my job might take me,"
Jira gives a knowing nod to the advice on pacing. But, the mention of leaving has Jira concerned. "You'd better stay in touch.. we're the last generation of Kasagi women, one of us has to keep the family going straight." she says matter-of-factly. "And I don't think only having stories of cousin Mimi and Jiro, and Yoko ba-san are how the next should be brought up." she adds. "And... stay safe, above all. I can't even guarantee my safety anymore, given my current... situation, but I see no reason why you couldn't."
Mimiru's lips curl into a weak, apologetic smile, "I... Move around a lot, Jira.. I can't really say I've kept in touch with anyone the past years..." She admits. Her words about keeping the family line straight makes her chuckle softly : looking at her life those past years would have helped that. "Don't worry about me," Mimiru says, giving Jira a wink.
She pats Jira's shoulder a few times and says, "I trust you to make sure our bloodline remains strong and keeps on living," Mimiru says, her lips curling into a wide smile, "I think you're... Perfect for this task," She adds teasingly, taking a moment to gauge and stare at her body.
Jira gives an understanding nod, moving around makes familymaking hard. Then she gives Mimi a 'really?' look with a smirk. "If only you knew." she teases. "Hey, Mimi.. before you head off, would you give me a kiss? You're the only one in the family I haven't given a goodbye kiss to." she states, giving a pout.
Jira Kasagi does take a note at that look Mimi's giving and sticks her tongue out. "You have no idea how hard it was in school to get by unnoticed for me."
Her smile only widens and she gives Jira a nod of her heac. She quirks a brow though and asks, rhetorically speaking, "Do I want to know?" Jira's question makes her arch a brow. Though she smiles warmly and she nods to Jira, "Sure, why not..." She offers.
She slowly turns around the sofa to get in front of Jira. She looks down at her and she opens her arms up, "Come on, give me a hug..." She says. She waits for Jira to move though before she does anything else.
Her last statement though makes her frown, showing some concern, "What do you mean?" She asks.
Jira chuckles. "I don't know if even the family should know." and rises up to capture her cousin in a hug, chuckling. "I couldn't keep any of the boys away or get any quiet in class at all, I'm surprised I survived it at all." she teases, offering a smirk to Mimi. "You're pretty. You know that? I'm almost jealous." she doesn't say what of, but it's not meant to be insulting in the least.
Jira Kasagi then puckers up her lips and winks. "How about that kiss, then, Mimiru-san~"
Once Jira is up, Mimiru wraps her arms against her and she gives her a firm, soothing hug, squeezing her against her. The compliment makes her smile and she says, teasingly, "You know, if you weren't a cousin, I'd almost say you're hitting on me..."
"Thank you, Jira," Mimiru says with a nod of her head. "You shouldn't be jealous," Mimirua adds with a gentle smile. She rubs Jira's shoulders and then she leans in for the kiss, pressing her lips against Jira's cheek. She lifts her hand up to ruffle her hair a bit and press her head foward to give her a kiss on her forehead, like Jiro did to her so often, "I'm sure we'll meet again sometime," She grins and adds, "And we'll go out to have some fun and have a girl's night,"
Jira flashes a teensy wink about the hitting on comment, but be damned if she'll admit to it openly. "I've done weirder things." and blushes, a kiss to the cheek, yes! She looks almost content enough to purr. "Girl's night, that sounds fun. If sensei doesn't stop me, I'd definately be up for that." she replies. Defintely a happy lass is this Kasagi!
"Oh really?" Mimiru asks, teasingly, "I'm sure it'll be fun stories to tell me next time, then," Mimiru says. She then lets go of Jira and says' "Take good care of yourself, after all, all of the Kasagi's lineage and hopes are in you," She encourages.
After all, Mimiru just can't imagine herself settling down and having a family. She turns on her heels and makes her way toward the door, taking the time to put her roller blades on. Once she's done, she gives Jira one last glance before she opens the door. She offers her a smile and says softly, her voice barely above a whisper, "Good bye, Jira..."
Jira nods. "Since it must be so, Mimiru-san." she bids in farewell, giving a wave to the two men in white that'd flanked outside her door since Mimi's visit. "If you need anything or get in trouble, one of those gentleman will give you a way to contact me." she informs. "I think I'll start working on the family affairs in the meantime." and winks.. this is japan, bachelors aren't too hard to find.
