Iori - Iori vs Yang and Yun

Description: Iori vs Yang and Yun! (Posted by staff)

"Come on, Yang! Step it up! We're gonna' be late!"

That would be the voice of Yun Lee in all of his skateboarding splendor. He may not be as banged up as he was a couple days ago, but there may still be a scratch or two on him. He's healing pretty good, though, thanks to noodles and some much needed TLC from a collection of hotties. He'll be calling on their services again later, y'know, after work.

Right now, though, Yun is on his board and he's pulling a Heelie Manual around a random bench as he approaches the work place known as Genhanten. He's pretty sure Yang'll be there soon enough. He's never /too/ far behind. Likely due to Yun's tendency to be too flashy and showing off during his skating. Even as he skids on past a few random people, he extends a hand, fistbumping those he recognizes and those that love him. Ah, his adoring public!

"We wouldn't be so late if you didn't show off so much."

And /that/ would be the voice of younger brother Yang, who, although still quite appreciative of his fans, is more concerned with simply /getting/ to work. Not that he'd just leave his brother behind, of course. He's totally gonna put all the blame on Yun when Gen chews them out, though.

Needless to say, he, too, is skating along, though with inline skates rather than a board. No fancy tricks from him, other than occasionally jumping over people or objects that get in his way. "By the way, Yun," he calls to his brother, "You're skating pretty well there. I don't think you'll need any more trips to the clinic."

"Where?"

"I don't know what you're talkin' abo- Ack!"

"Where is he?"

It may be the middle of the day. There may be crowds, light, and a whole lot of people to notice, but none of it seems to change the fact that, down an alley, well within view of anyone who cares enough to notice, a man is held aloft by his throat, his assailant carelessly keeping him there with one hand.

"I d-don't know, man!" the man asserts again, both hands clasped desperately around Iori's wrist, struggling to wrench free as well as support himself with anything other then his throat as air quickly grows harder and harder to come by. Unfortunately, Yagami doesn't even seem to care. His grip tightens and he slams him back against the wall again, as purple flames bloom into life on his shoulder, sparks advancing down his bicep as they grow ever closer to the other man, who, upon seeing the oncoming fire begins to shout, though it's quickly cut off into a strangled yelp as Iori's fingers tighten again.

"Tell me where you saw Kusanagi."

"You say that like I ever fall off this thing..."

Yun turns to look over his shoulder at Yang, which causes him to not look where he's going. He hits the latest bench in his way and gets knocked off his board. There he hits the ground and winces for just a moment, his eyes rising up to glance down the alley that's right in his line of sight. "Seriously? /Now/?" Yun gets to his feet pretty quickly and kicks his board up into his hand, holding an arm out to stop Yang as he approaches.

"Bro. Check it." He does the point and nod towards the alley, totally working his shoulders as if he's already preparing for what he's pretty sure is to come. "Shall we?" Yun grins. Oh yeah.

Yang can't help but smile a little as his bro goes tumbling head over heels over that bench. He knows he shouldn't, but hey, the guy had it coming. However, any humor in the situation is lost as he realizes that his brother has noticed something wrong. Skidding to a stop by Yun, he looks in the direction indicated, noticing...oh yeah, that guy does not look like your average troublemaker.

"Be careful, Yun. He's probably got some tricks up his sleeves." Yang advises, though he's eagerly kicking off his skates and rolling his neck, getting ready for a fight. Even if they can set their arms on fire, nobody starts crap in /this/ neighborhood while the Twin Dragons are around.

It's the man who draws Iori's attention over to the twin Dragons at the entrance to the alley. His desperate eyes had been searching everywhere for some escape, but when they stopped, the fire-wielding Yagami knew he had found something. Lazily, arrogantly, Iori's head tilts back and to the side, looking towards the pair out of the corner of eyes, expression dull and uncaring. Whatever he sees doesn't seem to hold his attention long, and he turns back towards his victim to slam him against the wall again.

"Last chance," he coldly informs him, the fire just past his elbow now as his grip barely even allows the poor slob enough air to speak, let alone answer any questions.

The skateboard is dropped back down and Yun skates his way into the alley because that's how he does. It's his alley, anyway. His hands are in his pockets as he rolls in, looking as though he's not afraid in the least. "Yo." is said with a voice that's a tad bit deeper than his normal one. Clearly, intimidation is the first tactic he's going to attempt. "You're gonna' wanna' put him down now, dude." Yun pulls the skateboard to a stop and steps off it like he's getting out of a car or something. He's taking his sweet time and reaching up to drag his fingers across the bill of his cap. More intimidation.

"Because we're about to kick your ass." His brother better be right behind him or this is going to look /awkward/.

Yang would love the chance to make his brother look awkward...normally. Right now, though, things are serious, and he steps up next to Yun a moment or two after his pre-asskicking one-liner. Just whose are going to be kicked, however, is still up for debate.

Nevertheless, he nods in agreement with the statement, taking up his accustomed stance. Both hands out in front of him, one leg extended slightly, so that the toe of his sneaker is the only part of that foot making contact with the ground. "This is your only warning."

Though the man being slowly strangled seems to think that the timely arrival of Yun and Yang is reason enough for Iori to focus on someone other then him, the cursed Yagami clearly doesn't share the same sentiment. Using his hand, he forces his victim to look from the twins back to him as the flames get ever closer. "Speak, or lose your chance forever," he demands, still lacking any emotion to his voice short of bored dismissal. Once again, the man tries, but fails, tension, lack of oxygen, and outright fear robbing him of his voice as he emits a series of strangled gasps.

As Yang falls into his normal fighting stance, so does Yun. Although, Yun's a bit more on the relaxed side. Perhaps a little too relaxed. His movements are fluid and easy we he just shakes his head at the fact that this fire dude is just not listening. "Alright. Have it your way." Yun reaches over to bump fists with Yang before he takes off in a quick run and leaps at Iori with a couple of low-angled, jumping high kicks that are clearly aimed to either strike or scare this punk enough to drop the innocent bystander. Yun ain't too worried about the fire at this point. He's got people to save.

Yang bounces lightly on his feet, ready to strike at a moment's notice. And since it seems the guy with the flaming sleeve isn't going to drop the innocent bystander, he's going to have to strike. The moment that Yun goes in for his flying kicks, Yang follows after, tucking into a quick roll to close the distance before launching himself into a rising kick from below, aimed at the arm holding the choking guy up. Fire or no fire, he needs to make Iori let go!

It takes the combined attacks of both Yun and Yang to get Iori to actually pay them any attention, it seems. As Yun comes in high, Iori's eyes snap over towards the sound of his approaching footsteps and his lips turn into a faint frown, accompanied by a slightly annoyed 'tch' sound. Just before the White dragon manages to land his kicks, Yagami lifts his closests leg, bending it at the knee so he can catch the first kick on the side of his tensed calf before it can gather enough momentum to cause any lasting damage, then he turns and jerks his head back out of the way of the follow up strike.

As for Yang, he twists his arm slightly so as the rising kick lands near his elbow, it bends in the proper direction, rather then snapping at the joint. Just as the long-haired Lee twin hoped, he ends up dropping the man, but, perhaps unfortunately, his attention fully settles on the interlopers for the first time.

"Scum..."

He instantly brings his other hand around, trying to catch Yang by the ankle and twist, hopefully throwing him off balance and sending him into the wall as he crouches into a more defensable position while he waits for Yun's next attack.

Getting his kick caught like that and seeing the movement of Iori actually have Yun's smirk curling up even more. He's impressed, even as he flips backwards and drops to the ground. It is just long enough for him to offer a pleasantly cheesy response to Iori's chosen word of the day. "I know you are but what am I?"

Yun seems to be happy with his response and moves in a sliding momentum in the direction of Iori, skidding to a halt and extending both palms outwards towards the vile dude that has decided to invade the Lee's neighborhood.

He cuts a quick glance to the dropped innocent dude. "Dude. /Run/." Obviously. Yeah, but back to trying to get some action all up on Iori.

Yang would have told the guy to run, but well, it's hard to do that when you're being grabbed by the ankle and slammed into the wall. The wood actually cracks a bit from the impact, knocking the breath out of Yang...and by the feel of it, he's pretty sure at least one rib just cracked too. This is starting to seem like a really bad idea.

"Y-Yun...careful! He has...monstrous strength!" he tries to warn his brother, gasping for breath as he pushes himself back up onto his feet. But, it's too late. Yun's already dedicated to his course of action, so Yang joins in his efforts by immediately following with a double palm strike of his own, right after his brother.

Almost contemptuously, both of Iori's hands come up to meet Yun's, slipping his wrists to the inside of the double palm strike and pressing outwards against his opponent's arms, sending both palms past him as he ducks beneath one of the outstretched arms.

Even as Yang's voicing his warning, Iori's hand is coming down from above towards the other twin's face, fingers tensed and ready to claw down his face, using his momentum to turn into both palm strikes with little more than a pained grunt as he takes the hits on his shoulder and back, no doubt breeding fresh bruises beneath the force of those blows. All the same, as he twists, his other hand comes up, this time in a fist to deliver a punishing backhand blow to Yang's freshly clawed face with another annoyed 'tch.'

"Uncool!" Yun is none too happy with the way things are turning out right now. He's backspinning on his heels to get himself back into a specific position, whilst watching as his brother gets totally manhandled by this guy. It's not exactly the best thing for them right now, but he'll be damned if he just lets this happen. He swivels back in the general direction of Iori, leaping and spinning with a quick swift and strong kick towards Iori's head. "Lay off, dude. You can't beat us both!"

Yang is really getting the short end of the stick today, it seems! For his efforts, he finds himself once again on the receiving end of a beatdown by Iori, red marks scored across his face by those sharp nails, before a painful backhand blow smashes into him, knocking him to the ground again.

A thin trickle of blood running down from his nose, the younger of the Twin Dragons gets up again...though significantly more shaky this time. "He's doing a...pretty good job of it..." he remarks, shaking his head to try to make the world stop spinning. Lurching forward, he swipes at Iori's chest with his fingers curled like mantis claws, an arc of chi slashing after them.

This may be a bad idea, for various reasons, but thinking clearly isn't something he's going to be doing for a little longer.

"Watch me," Iori drawls out in return to Yun's decree that he can't, in fact, do just what he was planning on doing. After backhanding Yang, his attention shifted back to the other twin, just in time to bend forward at the waist, back straight in something of a bow as his hands tuck carelessly into his pockets and the kick travels harmlessly above him.

However, just as he's straightening out, eyes on Yang as he prepares to counter whatever move is coming his way next, he's actually surprised. Though he recognized the attack coming, and his hands pull out of his pockets in order to come up and block the mantis-like strike, he clearly hadn't accounted for the chi accompanying it. He takes the physical hit on his forearm, and at first it looks like the block will hold, but when the second stage hits him, his arms snaps out and the rest of the attack rakes across his chest, sending him staggering backwards with a pained snarl and cut shirt, crimson soaking into his black shirt.

It's not so much a curse, as an angry noise when Iori strikes back at the nearest twin, his right hand lancing out to try and catch Yun's face.

Yun swings his hands up swiftly, aiming to see if he can't put a stop to the incoming hand that was about to make short order of his face. He winces a bit even as his hand works on stopping Iori's, as he still feels the pain. It is not a good feeling either. It even comes with a flavorful wince that goes along with it. Still, though, he's not about to let this opportunity pass him by. He rolls off the block, in towards Iori and attempts to grab him and flip backwards for some serious throwing action. Y'know, with some foot to the chest for some extra style points.

Yang is given a brief respite to catch his breath and clear his head, and this in turn allows him to assess the situation. It doesn't seem like things are going well for him or his brother, but as long as Yun as the guy distracted, he can perhaps focus on recovering a little from the beating he's just taken. So, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, he stills his mind and allows his disrupted chi to realign, some of the pain of his wounds ebbing away.

As Iori's attempted grab swipes past Yun's face, he frowns heavily, an expression only made more severe as his opponent's hand manages to close on his shirt and the next thing Yagami knows, he's hurtling backwards through the air, coming to a rough stop as his back hits the ground and his air rushes headlong from his lungs. For a second, he lays there, frowning heavily up at the sky as he forces his quick, deep breaths to slow down until air returns to his lungs and he rolls backwards, using one hand to push himself back upright as soon as his feet touch the ground. Without so much as a pause, his eyes still locked on Yun, his hand sweeps back, then forward, violet flames arcing from his fingertips to the ground as it coils into a rolling ball and surges across the ground towards the White Dragon, a flare trailing behind it as it surges quickly forwards.

Yun is not even ready for what comes next. He's back up and on his feet, flashing a smile to anyone that might be looking, as he turns around and gets bowled over by what is some seriously powerful chi. It sends him backwards and into a flat roll that comes up short next to Yang. He coughs up some blood and pushes to get back to his feet. He looks over at his brother and reaches up to adjust his cap. "Let's wrap this up. Follow the leader, Yang!"

Yun straights his stance, spreading his legs and bringing his arms up into an X in front of him. As they go back down to his sides, the INNER POWER of BLUE CAP WHITE DRAGON fuels within and he feels the power of the chi. He moves with epic speed, rushing towards Iori and diving into an attack that has feet and fists swirling at him in various angles and ways, his chi-shadows trailing behind to see if they can't put a little stank on it.

COMBO #5!

Yang lets out another breath, having completely re-regulated his body and mind. He opens his eyes as his brother stops next to him, giving a small, silent nod at the suggestion. This is a powerful opponent they're up against, and it's obviously going to take everything they've got to bring him down, or at the very least hurt him enough so they can escape!

So, immediately after Yun launches himself forward with a flurry of afterimage-enhanced blows, Yang leaps toward Iori with a stab of his fingers aimed at the redhead's chest, followed by a short upward swipe. Another arc of chi slashes upwards, but it's not over yet.

Filling in the gaps in Yun's attacks, Yang uses his own natural speed to dash and leap past Iori numerous times in quick succession, more of those chi trails following every swipe of his fingertips. Finally, for the last blow, one more dashing finger stab that ends up with Yang behind Iori, a straight line of chi quickly dissipating behind him.

All that bored calm that was all over Iori a few moments ago is gone as soon as he senses the chi building up in the twins. Instantly, he settles into a cage-like defensive stance, sparks flaring at his elbows and fingers as he waits for the inevitable attack. When it hits? It's like a storm. He dodges left and right, hands coming up to redirect attacks this way and that. For the most part, he manages to turn aside most of Yang's hits, sending them wide and simply dodging out of the way, but between the two of them, he's unable to keep up. Yun's hits land almost everytime, smashing him left, right, and center as blood arcs from freshly opened wounds everytime he twists from the force of a new blood, steadily being driven back until the final strike sends him skidding a foot or two, his arms held up in front of his face to prevent anything terrible from landing on his head.

When it stops, his breath is hard to catch, pain lances through his side with each gasp as he struggles to keep his feet. Slowly, stiffly, he lowers his hands enough to glare down the alley to the pair, blood pouring from a cut above his left eye and forcing it closed. He can't even speak. There's not enough energy left in him. So, instead, he gathers in what air he can, his shoulders pulling back until the meet behind him, his arms at his sides, fingers curled into fists while he continues taking in air. Just as it seems he's fit to burst, he lets out a loud bellow, takes one step forward and practically flings his arm forward, sending a spark flashing across the ground almost anti-climactically.

And then, just as it nearly hits them, it explodes, firing upwards into the sky as it expands into a massive bolt of purple lightning that sears away what sparse weeds had struggled to grow through the cracks in the pavement, thunder mixing with Iori's roar.

Yun is tired. That much is obvious. That was a lot of kicking and punching in that combo of doom and he barely can hold himself up. When the POWER OF IORI explodes into what essentially is going to destroy the entire alley (good thing that dude ran, huh?) Yun does the only thing he can think of to do. He crouches and covers his head. It's not the most stylish attempt at protecting himself, but he's doing the best he can.

It hurts. It burns. It Everythings. Yun's hat is singed away by such purple lightning and Yun grits his teeth through the epic levels of pain that are pouring through his body right now. When it ends? Yun is wobbly, but still able to get back up to a fairly capable stance. Of course, that is to say nothing of the blood leaking from his arms and the ragged look of his clothes now. It was just in a storm of pain. Still, the Cocky One has enough GALL to smirk and adjust his cap. Because he's a punk like that.

"You first."

Another glance at Yang is all Yun needs to do before he rushes at Iori once again. This time, he feints with the elbow strikes, switching it up and going for a pair of palm strikes aimed to see if he can't knock Iori off balance. His movements stay swift, as he steps it up and aims a pair of kicks to see if he can't get the psycho airborne. This is followed up by a spin to keep himself in the air and he thrusts a leg outward and down for optimal DRAGON KICK stylistic purposes!

Yang stumbles and falls to his knee after the end of his flurry of attacks, feeling that cracked rib again. Unfortunately, it's not the only pain he's about to endure, as he sees Iori powering up for an even bigger attack. Quickly bracing himself and covering his chest and face with his arms, he's soon assaulted by an explosion of lightning, searing his skin and turning his clothes to blackened char. Even his famous hairdo is blasted back by the power of the blast, singed by the heat.

When it's all over, though, he's still able to stand, albeit with considerable effort. He has to force the breath in and out of his lungs, the burning pain still tearing through his flesh even now. However, as his brother exchanges a glance, he flips his hair back into its proper position. Time for the Twin Dragons' /last desperation technique/.

At the same time Yun goes for his palm strikes, Yang comes in from behind with a kick aimed at Iori's back. Then, once he's in the air, the younger brother leaps up after him and assaults him with a quick combination of kicks, each one aiming to knock him higher, /daring/ the laws of physics to tell him he's wrong. Then, as Yun goes into a spin for the final kick, Yang spins the opposite direction, ending up above Iori and throwing out a kick that mirrors his brother's perfectly!

DOUBLE THE STYLE POINTS.

That's pretty much all that goes through Iori's head as he squints through his rapidly fading vision to see both twins still standing somehow. There's really not much energy left in him at this point. What little he still had was all thrown into that last attack, hoping to bring the pair down before he himself dropped.

...Damnit

He thinks again, as they begin to ready their second team attack, though this one seems more complimentary to each other than the last. Iori's hand goes to his knee, struggling to keep himself upright. It's terrible timing, really. Just as he does it, the Dragons are on him. Yun's feints aren't even truly necessary, but Iori tries to duck them anyway, swaying straight into the pair of palm strikes that sends him backwards over Yang's kick.

...Damnit.

After that, it's a hazy flurry of kicks, pain, and the crunch of several broken bones as he's sent straight into the air under their onslaught. When he reaches the peak, when gravity's decided it's had enough of Yun and Yang's nonsense, the pair of perfectly synced kicks adds speed to his downward rush, and he hits the ground with so much force, it forces the air from his lungs again, though by now it's mixed with a heavy dose of blood, and he stares groggily up at the sky as his vision slips.

Damnit!

There's absolutely no way Iori's going to lie down and pass out because of two interloping punks who can't seem to shut up for longer than two seconds. Shakily, he pulls himself back to his feet, clutching the wall for support as his only open eye finds Yun and he snarls, "I... Will... Kill you!"

There's nothing left but adrenaline at this point, but it's enough to give him the last burst of speed necessary to suddenly dash towards the loudest of the loud mouths, his right hand pulled back, palm facing Yun, fingers wide as he seeks, once again, to grab onto his face.

COMBATSYS: Iori can no longer fight.

Finally, he manages it. Finally, Iori feels Yun's face in his hand as he brings his foot out behind the White dragon, leg hooked around his opponent's while he drives downward with his hand shoving the Lee twin towards the pavement until he feels him hit it. Once there, crouching over the kid, he breathes in one, deep breath, then roars again, the cursed, violet flames of the Yagami bloodline blooming from his palm and fingers, blasting out from the hand still clutched around Yun's face with explosive force.

Unfortunately, Iori was unconscious before he even got to relish in the damage he might have caused, thudding against the pavement without so much as a final grunt.

Yun isn't even really understanding what is happening at this point. He can barely function and when his face is grabbed by the likes of Iori, there's not much he can do at this point. On the ground, while it may look like fear in the eye (the other one is already starting to swell shut) of the White Dragon, he has one last F You of a wink. This is tossed at Iori before the rest of the pain sets in. And by pain, we definitely mean the act of having his face explosive forced into bitter oblivion. Okay, it may not be that gruesome but it certainly is not the nicest way to be finale'd.

Yun's body grows still, as it often does when he fights. He fights until his body can't move anymore and this is no different. He lies there, unmoving except for the (very slight) breathing that his body does on an involuntary level. His cap askew, what's left of it anyway, and sprawled out in what would probably be the perfect position for a chalk outline if his brother wasn't here to drag him to somewhere safer than this.

Leave that Iori fool in the alley, though.

COMBATSYS: Yun takes no action.

Yang lands with another grunt of pain, all of those hits he took refusing to simply be ignored. Unfortunately, this means he's unable to do much about Iori going after his brother one last time, and he can only watch as Yun gets a face full of fire. A minute later, after Iori has fallen unconscious, Yang manages to get enough strength back into his legs to get up and grab Yun, dragging his brother up onto his shoulders and limping off toward Genhanten. "Tch...we're gonna be late..."
