Description: Most people would be pretty perturbed by someone wearing a hockey mask and running at them with a baseball bat in a subway station. But for some people it's just another day in Duke's tournament. The slums station for the Metro City subway is one where people learn to look the other way, so Katsuya and 'Stacey Jones' have no trouble throwing down, except for the occasional risk of tripping over a homeless person. Things get pretty heated (and there's probably still a baseball down there, somewhere) and both fighters wind up having to push themselves to their limits. (Winner: Katsuya)
What a difference a couple of weeks makes.
During the first fight 'Stacy Jones' had under the bridge, low lifes and criminals came out in droves to watch and/or profit off of her fight in the tournament. Today, however, not as many came out and not as many are betting. Not many people are willing to go out in the storm to watch this fight and the majority of the few remaining are the assorted homeless using the subway system as shelter from the elements.
Off to the side stands a feminine figure wearing denim shorts and white wifebeater and a soldier's hat and stilettos. Her hair is a color of orange that couldn't possibly occur in nature and there's a look on her face that seems to say that she'd rather be anywhere but here doing this. She shoves a thug forward to handle the officiating duties. Said thug waves over two competitors to get ready to fight.
One of the two that step forwards is a brown-haired woman in a hockey mask, maroon tanktop, and gray cargo pants, with a golf bag on her back. The other is...
The other is a tall Japanese man, wearing a slightly rumpled looking black suit, and a blue silk shirt underneath it. He glances up at the ceiling with a frown, flicking some water off of his shoulder and takes a step to one side to get out from under the leak. He eyes his opponent with a raised eyebrow, then shakes his head. "Buncha crazies around here. Americans..." Still, the potential money is there, and the chance to break a few heads in the process isn't something Katsuya is going to find distasteful.
Katsuya rolls his neck a few times, then glances sidelong at the officiating thug. "This place isn't gonna start flooding, right?" He glances up briefly, but then settles his gaze on his opponent. "Guess I'd better get this wrapped up quick, just in case."
It takes all of her willpower not to laugh which would probably ruin her disguise in a heart beat. What little her opponent said revealed what he didn't know about her. She isn't American and while she maybe crazy this wasn't /her/ type of crazy. That said, she was highly tempted to throw out a different accent just to mess with her opponent a bit. But she's both pragmatic and professional when it comes to her job and there was a reason she took the time to learn a Metro City accent for this mission.
"Whatever. Let's just get this over with."
She reaches both hands into her golf bag of goodies and pulls out a pair of wooden baseball bats. And casually strolls up to the tall Japanese man and brings both bats together about his head.

Katsuya's thoughts exactly. He smirks at Lita, then raises an eyebrow as she goes rummaging in her bag. Baseball bats? Well, that's nothing that's really going to surprise Katsuya. They're very handy for giving someone a beating without getting the blood all over your hands, and people don't usually look at you too closely for carrying one. Or at least not as much as other blunt weapons. A handy object.
And not one he wants to get hit in the head with. Katsuya brings up both arms, bringing them out and toward Lita to catch the swings early and slow them down before they can meet with his head between them. That does somewhat tie up his arms for the moment, but that's not such a big deal. The yakuza leans back, bringing up his right leg and then snapping out a kick straight toward the center of Lita's torso.

As soon as Katsuya's hands catch the bats coming both sides, 'Stacy' takes a step back so she can see how the suited Japanese man will respond which happens to be a kick to her torso. She responds by raising her front leg to catch the kick on her thigh before dropping low and swinging one of the baseball bats for the knee that remained on the ground while he was kicking and then using the momentum of the spin to bring her into an upright position once more.
Meanwhile, that 'woman' with the bright orange hair is yawning and playing with her nails. Clearly, she'd rather be clubbing or something.

Katsuya winces in pain as the bat collides with his leg, and it looks for a moment like the limb is going to collapse. He manages to get his other leg down and shift his weight before he winds up crumpling to the floor. He frowns, shifting his stance slightly to lead with his good leg, and taking a step to the side.
That motion is only meant as a feint, though, as Katsuya suddenly rushes in, attempting to snare Lita by one arm. He attempts to pull her arm up and behind her back, yanking hard. It's quite effective normally, but with the addition of an armed opponent there's always the hope that it might force their hand open. Even if he's not that lucky, though, there's always the standard follow up for Katsuya using his free hand to hammer in some punches to the opponent's kidney.

The masked fighter doesn't react to the feint and doesn't even bother attempting to defend against snare on her arm. It's something she may come to regret later on in the fight but for now, she lets it happen. And the bats drop to the ground. Her body writhes in pain from each of the kidney shots and a soft pained growl can be heard.
She's still for only a half a second and then suddenly she twists out of the hold with a quick reversal and then performs an arm wrench armbar before using the leverage to force Katsuya face first to the ground.

Katsuya isn't able to keep his arm from being snared, but he is able to keep moving with it to keep Lita from wrenching it quite as hard as she might hope. It's still enough leverage to force him over, but he's ready as he goes to the ground and manages to catch himself with one hand and then shove himself away, springing back to his feet with a little distance between himself and Lita. He glances to his side for a moment, noticing that he's come up near one of the subway trash cans.
And a moment later, Katsuya is lunge back in toward Lita, but now he's holding the end of a (thankfully mostly empty) trash can. The things are pretty heavy and sturdy, to discourage movement of them, but that doesn't seem to be posing much of a problem. And with the wide swing Katsuya's taking, he's got plenty of momentum built up. It'll probably throw him off a bit if he misses, though.

While Katsuya goes for the large trash can, 'Stacy' reaches into her mini sporting goods store aka. her golf bag she pulls out a hockey stick. She glances at him, glances at the stick again and then waits for the charge.
As Katsuya comes in from the side with the trash can, the masked fighter comes in from above smashing the blade of the hockey stick down on the head of the Japanese fighter just before he could get a full swing of the can. There is a loud crash.
In the wake of the two fighters colliding is an incredibly off balanced masked fighter holding what little remains of her hockey stick, bruised, slightly battered, and covered with trash. And as Katsuya, he's probably covered in a shower of splinters from the hockey stick practically exploding from the impact with his skull.
In addition to splinters, Katsuya is dealing with picking himself up off the floor, after the smash to the head sent him crashing down in a heap. His vision flashed white for a moment there, but at least he felt the trashcan impact with something! A few quick shakes of his head, though, and Katsuya is back up on his feet. He notes the shattered hockey stick in his opponent's hand, and gets a pretty good idea of what happened there. But... it also means she's holding a broken weapon, for the moment!
The yakuza raises his left hand, then lunges toward Lita, leading with with the right side of his body. He stomps his foot down hard as he thrusts out with his right arm, aiming to slam a punch square into the center of Lita's face. The hockey mask will provide some defense, but he's not too worried about hurting his hand... and potentially knocking the mask partially askew might be even better than landing a clean blow.

In the time it takes for Katsuya to pick himself off the floor and shake out the cobwebs in his head, the hockey masked fighter takes an opportunity to first of all regain her balance, then discard her broken hockey stick.
As Katsuya raises his left hand, 'Stacy Jones' barely shifts into a peek-a-boo boxing stance and then just as right comes into her face, she weaves out of the way of the punch, firing off a couple punches in rapid succession before finishing with an attempt at a right hook to the side of the face.

Katsuya weaves in past the rapid series of blows, though he doesn't completely avoid getting clipped by them. It's not enough to slow him down or knock him off target, though. He pushes in as close as he can get, suddenly ducking down as he does so. His intentions become clear pretty quickly, but he's already in motion at that point, rising back up rapidly and bringing his fist swinging upward as he goes. He slams a punch into the base of the masked fighter's jaw, getting in below the mask to snap her head up and back.
And now it's the masked fighter's turn to have her vision go white for a moment. She stumbles for a moment, then after that she wobbles, and then she falls backwards from the intense force delivered to her jaw.
'Stacy' slowly works her way back up to her feet, blinks a few times, clutches her jaw and then goes back into a peek-a-boo boxing stance inching in closer before throwing a few feeling jabs and continuing to circle around the gangster.

Katsuya deflects the punch with a quickly raised arm, but rather than immediately trying to take advantage of the potential opening in his opponent's guard. He actually takes a step back, planting his feet for a moment. The gangster takes a deep breath, and then his eyes seem to flash for a moment. And then he's lunging at Lita, leading with a right hook, followed up by a quick left jab to the chest. But he doesn't stop there. He launches into a series of punches, alternating between quick lefts and rights before lashing out with a sudden backfist and taking a hop back. That's not because he's done, though; he just needs the space to unleash a quick series of kicks before pivoting into a final roundhouse kick.

She takes a deep breath as the gangster steps back and then when Katsuya lunges the masked fighter ducks the left hook, weaves away from the left jab and then as the torrent of punches come in, she twists turns and rocks away all in the name of self preservation and when the backfist comes in she ducks it. Her muscles tense as she's about to charge in after him when the series of kicks are about to come in. At the last moment, she hops backwards away staying just barely out of the range of the kicks and when that final roundhouse comes in, she darts in low and under the kick to pounce on what she views as an opportunity.
She goes for a double leg takedown and if she can get that initial take down she goes to town, delivering a rapid barrage of hammerfists to the face and torso in an attempt to deliver as much pain as she can in as short a time as possible.

Katsuya glances down as Lita comes in under his kick, and attempts to change it to a makeshift axe kick at the last moment, but it just doesn't work out. He gets swept off his feet and brought down to the ground, trying to get his guard up as he falls. But between the short notice and getting jarred from the imapct, Katsuya's not able to do much to defend against the series of blows that follows, driving him down against the floor. He grunts in pain, trying to get away, and eventually manages to roll off to the side, but he's looking pretty battered.
After a moment Katsuya manages to climb back to his feet, wincing. He takes a quick stock of himself and determines that nothing is actually broken, but between all the effort he put into that last assault, and then getting beaten on, he's feeling pretty winded. He holds back for a moment, opting instead to start circling his opponent. He keeps an eye out for an opening, as well as trying to take a moment to pull himself together.

It's true that the Japanese fighter does manage to escape from the fighter eventually but not without cost. The man doesn't seem to be inclined to go after the hockey masked fighter. And she plans on taking advantage of this.
There's a few moments taken to reach into one of the side pouches of the golf bag and she produces a baseball from it. She tosses it a few times as she walks towards one of those bats she dropped earlier in the fight. She lets out an amused grunt and then kicks the bat up into the air, catches the bat with her free hand, tosses the ball into the air and then takes a powerful swing at the baseball sending it screaming right for Katsuya's stomach.
Meanwhile she muses to herself: Who would've thought that her love of cricket would translate so well to baseball?

When Katsuya figures out what Lita's up to, he quickly starts moving in again. Then there's the crack of the bat against the ball, and the projectile is streaking toward his head. Katsuya leans to the side, continuing to close the distance to his opponent, and the ball whips past his ear. Where it goes from there, he doesn't pay any attention to, because he's just about to get in striking range against someone who just had to take a swing with a baseball bat.
Katsuya leads with his right arm again, throwing what looks like another straight punch... but he raises his arm a bit higher than the chest. And then at the last moment he unfolds his fist, stiffening his fingers as he attempts to drive them into Lita's throat. Hey, nobody came into this tournament expecting that people would play nice, right?

As for the path of the baseball, it glances off of a trash can, hits a pillar streaks past the masked fighter, hits another trash can, bounces off and whizzes past the orange haired 'woman' and rips a set of handcuffs off of her waist as it continues to bounce off various things until it reaches it's final destination. The family jewels of a sleeping homeless man. With a loud scream like the that comes forth from that man's mouth, it's safe to assume that he's no longer sleeping. Meanwhile that orange haired woman is no longer looking bored but instead wears a combination of horrified and enraged emotions on her face.
The woman in a mask on the other hand, she lets out a pained hiss as she slighly rocks her body in what looks like a cringe on the behalf the poor homeless man.
That's when Katsuya comes in with a finger strike to the throat. She steps back as she performs deflection of the hand causing it to glance off the side of her neck and leaving a slight scratch.
She then delivers a hooking punch right to the floating ribs before stepping in to deliver a straight punch right to the chest.

When his strike gets deflected, Katsuya quickly withdraws his arm. A good thing, too, because in his battered state he winds up needing both arms to defend against the next couple attacks. He drops his right arm to intercept the blow to the ribs, then brings up both arms to form a cross guard in front of the straight punch aimed at his chest. Of course, he didn't only have his defense in mind.
The yakuza attempts to snare the masked woman's arm with one hand, while spinning around to press his back up against her. He then tries to stick his free hand under her arm, using it as a point of leverage as he pulls on her arm, trying to swing her up and over his shoulder, then send her crashing down into the station floor while at the same time wrenching her shoulder joint painfully.

Glancing Blow

The attempt to snare the masked fighter's arm is successful in spite of her trying to pull her hand away at the last moment. When he turns his back to her she realizes instantly what his goal is and she wants no part of it. She goes up and over but she also shifts around turning within his grip so that she lands on her feet though the wrenching motions do a number on her arm.
She moves in going for what looks to be a Muay Thai clinch using the clinch itself to squeeze the sides of his neck while she delivers knees to the sides of his rib cage and then adds a few of the knees to his diaphragm.

Katsuya grunts as the blows hammer home, but he manages to remain standing. He also doesn't look like he wants to hop back and open up some room, even despite the knees he's taking to the torso. He doesn't really have enough energy left to go running around at this point; so if his opponent is going to stay in close, he's going to make it a matter of stamina. And so with that he grits his teeth, leans in to the clinch, and tries to get his left arm hooked under his opponent's shoulder.
And with that he just starts trying to hammer in a series of quick blows to the woman's torso, hooking his fist upward into her ribs with each punch. He can't get a ton of power behind them from this angle, but he can deliever them repeatedly, with what remains of his stamina. He's going to have problems in a moment if he can't get a good breath, though; his face is already starting to look flushed.

She just barely can see the initial fist coming in time to loosen the clinch enough to get away from the first few punches. The follow up punches just cause her to abandon to the clinch completely and back away. It's what allows the two to take stock of their situations. Where the gangster is breathing heavy, the sports nut is seems to be breathing significantly easier even if a bit more bruised and battered than her opponent.
She comes back in and then attempts to grab Katsuya by the collar kicking out her leg and twisting to the side as she performs a judo inspired hip throw in an attempt to put him down to the ground. She won't be able to dodge him forever. She needs to bet it all on this last attempt.

Katsuya's collar gets grabbed, but he quickly starts shifting his feet, steadying his stance. The masked woman starts pulling, but he reaches out with one arm to try to grab her by the shoulder, while sliding a leg toward her and changing his center of gravity. It doesn't make him impossible to throw, but it requires a shifting of angle that he doesn't intend to give an opportunity to perform. His leg shifts again and he brings his free hand swinging in for a hooked blow to Lita's ribcage.
And again the yakuza attempts to follow it up with another rapid series of blows, but the last time his arm shoots in, it's at the same time as he releases her shoulder, bringing both hands up in an attempt to grab her head and yank downwards while bringing his knee up, either ignoring or forgetting about the hockey mask as he tries to drive his knee into her face. He then shifts his grip, relying on raw strength rather than good leverage to actually pull her around by the head and slam her into the floor.

She attempts to perform the hip toss but she finds she's no longer has the position required to pull off the move. That realization comes in right before hooked blow to her ribcage and her eyes flutter for a moment before the follow up comes in.
Even with just one of the follow ups it should already be clear that original hooked blow was all that was needed to drive her into unconsciousness. The subsequent strikes are essentially just batting an unconscious person around before they can hit the ground.
The knee followed by the face slam drops the masked fighter to the ground and then there's no more movement. Stick a fork in her folks. She's done.

Katsuya starts following up after Lita falls, fully intending to stomp her into the ground... but then she doesn't seem to be moving. He nudges her with his foot, but then when there's no reaction he glances at the gang member doing the officiating, who nods in acknowledgement. He may be a violent man, but Katsuya's not actually sadistic. And while he took a pretty good beating in this match, there also wasn't anything that particularly damaged his pride, so he doesn't feel any special anger that he needs to take out on a fallen opponent.
He pauses for a moment, takes a deep breath, then strides over to the gang member while wiping some blood off his face. He takes the wad of money that he's handed, briefly flips through it, then nods and shoves it into his pocket. Glancing back at his fallen opponent, he slips a pack of cigarettes out of his jacket, lights one, then takes a quick drag off it before heading toward the subway exit.
