Yoshimitsu - The Darker Side of the Coin

Description: Returning back from another empty tournament, Kaida Inoue finds herself driven to outdo her sister, and assume leadership of the Inoue Clan. However, a mysterious ninja stalks her, wishing to test her convictions... and to see if she worthy of her own family name.

Kaida may not have been in the spotlight for a long time, but unfortunately life must go on. All the money she had begun to save up for attempting to repurchase her family's Dojo had gone to rebuilding their lives after the invasion of Southtown. She'd gotten a job at a local store in order to help support her family, but her hours kept getting cut to the point of near pointlessness so very recently she started finding other ways of making money.

Nothing too shady, of course, so long as you don't consider fighting in small underground tournaments a big deal. At the moment she's coming home from one that had been a major disappointment- only three of the eight participants had shown and the venue pulled it at the last moment, knowing there wouldn't be enough revenue from betting to make it worth their time. So Kaida is walking to her family's apartment with an annoyed expression written all over her face, brushing past other pedestrians on the sidewalk, the residents of this city so used to combat that the paired bokken she carries don't even register.

It is never a big deal.

Unless you are invested in the well-being of traditional family values.

Shadowing someone like Kaida may be disappointingly easy. Disappointingly, of course, being part of the fact that when one is a giant titanium skeleton robot, you should not get away with everything. A great, metallic nightmare was drifting on the edges. There was no shame in stalking for the metallic creature. Shadowing the woman, he had a very specific motive in mind.

To test the way of the Inoue Family.

An ancient family, as the leader of the Manji Clan would well know. Family values that were honorably upheld through local fights. Certainly, not the most ideal. But as a nightmarish skeleton of a samurai appears, peering around the corner of an alleyway, spying on the the returning Kaida, there was no attempt at stealth.

Yoshimitsu WANTED her to register even the least amount of awareness.

To say that Kaida was paying close attention to her surroundings would be incorrect. Ever since the attack on Southtown she's had to be on her guard, but recently she's only just started to become more relax, no longer permanently vigilant.

However she is still a highly trained fighter, and though her skill doesn't match that of some others she has honed her senses since she was a child. At first there's no change in her at all, but after a minute or two of being shadowed her eyes start to flick to the sides, searching for things that may or may not be there. Then a slight frown tugs at the bottom of her mouth as she passes an alleyway, and three steps past she simply stops.

"What do you want from me?" she asks, not bothering to look to make sure someone is really there, so certain is she that there is. "Is it money? I don't have enough to make it worth your time. I'll warn you now; this wouldn't be the first time someone has tried to kill me if that's what this is."

Only then does she turn around and face her pursuer, only to see-

What is it that she sees, exactly? She can't quite be sure. Then, a moment later. "...You're going to try and sell me a set of knives, aren't you?"

%Was it money?

The Manji Clan was very much about money. For good reasons, of course. To help the helpless, to give the poor a chance. Money was a driving force. For good, but still. The wrong actions for the right reasons hardly make a convincing argument. But when Kaida turns around, and looks into the burning green fires of the skeletal metallic samurai's eyes...

The quiet headshake speaks volumes. As he is found out, the figure suddenly steps out in the open, hanging a great katana upon his shoulder. Form alien, reading nothing of intent, the figure speaks with a think, mechanical tone to the woman.

"
The other twin of the Inoue Clan
Fearful of her life
And taking the scraps of fights?
What such rubbish for such a name
! "

The form of the strange humanoid suddenly leaps through the air, exposing himself before the woman in an acrobotic leap. His heavily mechanical, alien tone bore no ill intentions, despite the harsh tone. Or that malicious, searing blade of green energy. Those green, inhuman lights sit, forcused upon the woman as he stands tall in the heart of the street. A monster, out in the public sight.

And yet, no threatening action is made, just yet.

The first impression upon seeing Yoshimitsu was that this must be some kind of elaborate costume, and who else would create such a costume than some business trying to sell a product? But no, there's something eerily real about him, and the way he speaks is a dead giveaway that this is no simple salesman. When her family name is used her eyes narrow, and she shifts a little to the side, in a slightly defensive stance.

"The other twin? Does this mean you've seen Shika already?" She can't help but smile, however, just a little. It's a bitter smile, curling up one corner of her mouth. "Yes, rubbish, but sometimes you have to dig through the dumpster to get what you need to survive."

Questions like 'who are you' or 'what are you' seem pointless here, this one before her seeming like someone that will answer those when they're good and ready. Instead she is momentarily quiet, studying him, her eyes drawn to that blade of his, a weapon of vast power no doubt, visible yet unthreatening. "The Inoue are a clan no longer. Me and my family- we're all that's left, and commoners at that. But it's Inoue blood that runs in my veins, and the Crescent Moon style that I've been taught. That's why you're here, isn't it?" She reaches down and draws one of her bokken off her left hip, twirling it twice in a honed, practiced manner before sheathing it once more, removing any doubt that she knows well how to use it.

Elaborate? How else should a clan leader be adorned?

The leader of the Manji Clan was well open with an ancient line. But the clan being ended? THe Manji clan was slain to but a single member, and returned to full force by the strength of one individual. For Yoshimitsu, that was but a pitiful excuse, not a justification. Thus, the skeletal figure simply shakes his head. The harsh, mechanical tones break out, the figure sounding very much more machine than man. And yet, an air of wisdom, of kindness cuts through. Heralding better times rather than a simple attack
"
Family begets rivalry;
Would it not be simple for only one ambition
Only given to one person
Rather than split between two?

The Inoue clan is never dead
As long as family seeks to uphold it
But you do not seek to uphold the clan
But only above your sister?

"

Yoshimitsu brings forward his blade, surging with the power of his ancestors. The strange figure held power, no doubt about that. But suddenly, he begins to spin, whirlling like a top, spinning around the position of Kaida. Cutting off her forward path, the samurai-looking figure suddenly collapses at the end of his bizarre spinning, falling to the ground, Rising back up, he continues that harsh, mechanical speech.

"
Perhaps it is best to test your resolve
Yes! Yes! A test of resolve!!
If you are superior to your sister
You will prove yourself in a friendly spar?

"

The alien figure brings his sword to the defensive stance. Eyes burning with strange force, the alien figure only held himself with the utmost honor. No stealing here, no assault, no full-fledged anger. A simple leader, testing the might of a member of a clan family. If the skull could smile, it would. Instead it holds. Unmoving. Blade ready,

Awaiting Kaida's response.

Kaida frowns a little, "I seek to uphold the Crescent Moon style with all the tradition it deserves. But until I can best my sister reliably I am unworthy to do so, and the same is true for her. The weak are not given control, of course you know that already." She is taken aback as the ninja moves quickly around her and blocks her path, turning to face him again and reaching back to brush back some of her hair with apprehension.

"You speak of testing me, but what is the Inoue clan to you?" Without waiting for an answer she lets herself relax a little, tension leaving her as a decision has been reached. Then, with ceremony, she redraws her bokken and holds it in front of herself, tip aiming towards Yoshimitsu. "You may test my resolve. I have no fear of sparring. And besides, it would be a shame to let my practice for tonight go to waste. I could use the exercise."

She watches him evenly, waiting for him to make a movement. He is still a supreme enigma and she's curious, but right now for Kaida all hesitation is gone.

Hesitation gone?

That is wonderful!

Yoshimitsu readies his blade. And promptly, he raises it up over his own head. His alien limbs whirr as they spin in the air. Faster and faster, before the figure levitates. Hovering in the air, the ninja begins to float like a helicoptor. Holding in the air, he focuses upon the girl, expression unchanging, though his words speak what lingers in his mind.

"
Is besting your sister the true test?
You act as the greatest glory.
Is akin the ouroborus of legend.
As a snake consuming its own tail!

"

Hovering in the air, the warrior beckons the younger woman. Certainly, a ninja of his power could strike down Kaida on a true assassination attempt. But such power is not meant for a good ninja. Evil should be the only victim of a man like Yoshimitsu. To test a young girl? Only reasonable power must be used. And ultimately, power that can be learned from. The raspy, cold voice breaks out, as Yoshimitsu hovers in the air.

"

"Come and strike me
"Young warrior of the Crescent Moon.
"Prove your OWN personal worth,
Not reflected upon your forgotten twin!

"
"

Yoshimitsu waits then, allowing Kaida to show him the very first move of a true warrior of the Inoue clan.

Kaida's grip on her bokken tightens as the ninja lifts off the ground, completely unable to match that kind of raw power herself. She's going to be at a disadvantage, but that isn't going to stop her. Then, a scoff, "No, probably not. She is strong but she lacks refinement. And she doesn't take pride in her abilities like I do. Do I have to go through you to prove myself? Fine, then, I will."

There's only a moments wait after he beckons her, the young woman letting out a short cry as she rushes forward, holding her bokken steadily in both hands before stabbing forward with the tip of the wooden sword.
But something's amiss- it doesn't connect, or won't unless Yoshimitsu is stupid enough to juke directly into it. It is instead intended as a distraction, her lower hand having released the hilt at the last moment, giving her just enough time reach down and draw her other sword, slashing in a wide horizontal arc in front of her as the jabbed sword is pulled back close to her. "Hyah!"

COMBATSYS: Yoshimitsu dodges Kaida's Random Strike.

Disadvantage?

This was not any local tournament, no. The eccentric ninja lets her come, lets her unleash her passion towards him. Hovering slightly, he seems to fall for the tip of the wooden sword. Letting himself fall into the games of the Moonlight Warrior, Yoshimitsu is content to play by her games. As the blade shifts at the last moment, Yoshimitsu replies again, in that stilted, jagged tone, cutting through the air like a rusty knife.

"
Do you need to go through me
To prove yourself?
What do you truly value.
In your life?
"

Yoshimitsu suddenly lifts into the air, as the wide slash is unleashed. Arm whirring with activity, he breaks from the whirring action to cease the comical helicoptor action. Surging back down to the ground, he slams hard to the earth, slashing downwards with the long blade of his ancient weapon.

Well centered on Kaida, of course.

Kaida says, "Well then."

The deceptive attack misses it's mark, slicing though nothing but the air in the space Yoshimitsu once occupied, the young swordswoman adeptly landing and preparing herself for his expected response.

But his words confuse her, his question making her blink and momentarily forget her form. "What do I value? I..." Uncertainty creeps into her mind, and undoes her.

Just as she's unable to meet his question his diving assault plows through her defenses as if they aren't even there. The empowered blade slashes right into her shoulder, drawing a shriek at the intensity of the pain, the power of the attack undeniable.

Kaida is overcome to the point that she falls completely to the ground, staining the sidewalk with a splotch of red as her wound flows blood. She isn't going to give up, however, even if she is outmatched by far more than she had originally anticipated.

Gritting her teeth she clenches her hands around her bokken and forces herself to stand. Not only does she stand, but she resumes her fighting form without mistake, forcing herself to continue through the pain. "The Inoue have drawn attention from high places. I won't allow my family to look like such a mockery as this..!"

She advances to him, putting away her confusion from before so that it can't affect her any longer. Waiting until she's very close this time she lashes out with her bokken in a pair of powerful swings. They seem relatively normal, but if they connect each strike will unleash a small eruption of white chi, the second potentially strong enough to force the ninja back.

COMBATSYS: Yoshimitsu endures Kaida's Banishing Blade.

Deceptive?

Why, the Manji Clan was writing the book on deceptive since the inception of Kaida's family line. But there is too much power with the response, too much wild. Clearly, Kaida was not prepared to deal with helicoptor robot ninjas flying down on her, despite her training. Yoshimitsu shakes his head in disappointment. Kaida was proving herself poorly in action. Though in words, she showed such strength. Standing tall upon his landing, his says but one word.

"NAMU~"

As the follow up attack from Kaida comes, he does not move. Instead, he stands unreacting, trapped into his own word. Utterly focused on his own mind... but all too aware of the young girl surging towards him. As the pair of powerful swings come, he simply stands there, enduring them coldly, as he reacts with but the words of a rasping, mechanical drone.

"
Good! A love of Family is truly worthwhile!
A love of family is a strong foundation
As well as strength ins its pride!

But do you build upon that honor?
With your local play fights.
Do you strengthen your family's pride
By cutting the throat of your sister?

"
Such words hang heavy with the ninja as he responds with not a slash of the sword, but the sudden, swift, thrust of his palm. Hopping around the girl upon one foot, he thrusts his palm deep, holding his sword out in the open. A bizarre technique, marked by a certain grace.

But was this another mockery from the strange being?

Yoshimitsu       0/-------/----===|=======\=------\1            Kaida

Though she committed to the attack fully Yoshimitsu proves that to have been unnecessary, taking the full brunt of her attack without so much as batting an eye. It's quite telling compared to how much his expertly placed single slash affected her. But this, perhaps, isn't about winning or losing.

"What honor is there for a family that has been cast down and forgotten? Before I worry about honor I intend to rebuild the Crescent Moon style to the place it rightfully deserves to be. It isn't for honor that I fight, but for pride. As for Shika, she has none. And that is why she does not deserve a place at the head of the family!" The palm thrust isn't expected, but neither is it a surprise, and though she's still off balance from her attack Kaida manages to twist her body so that the strike hits her in the shoulder- the one that didn't take the brutal sword cut earlier.

The hit causes her to wince but doesn't slow her down, and quickly she sheathes one of her swords and grips the other in a light grip. "You wish to know if the Inoue are worth respecting. Very well, I will show you the techniques of a dozen generations!"

Reverting now to the core methods of her family's fighting style she begins to move around Yoshimitsu, stepping from one foot to the other while spinning elegantly around, each turn marked by a quick, powerful slash of her bokken, the young woman dancing around him in a beautiful, deadly rhythm that leaves her perpetually in motion, until with an extra twist of her body the final blow comes, a powerful vertical swing from below strong enough to send the ninja airborne and away should it catch him.

Of course, it was never about simple fighting.

If it was, the strange ninja would be running circles around Kaida... figuratively and literally. But no, as he thrusts his palm into the shoulder of the woman, he hops around, a beclownment of Kaida's style. Open mockery? The harsh tones share little of the true nature of the ninja's words.

"
What is Honor with Pride?
Or Pride with Honor?
A clan falls when it people bears no honor
But is forgotton when its people has no pride!

What is your vision?
What are your dreams?
What do you wish for
When you see your family name?
"

Yoshimitsi brings the energy'd blade forward, catching each of the dances with the deft swordplay. Parry, parry, parry, parry. As the final upwards swipe comes, it catch Yoshimitsu cleanly, sending the ninja to the air. Whirling his blade over his head, he lands gracefully into a lotus position, legs crossed. Holding the blade to his side, he waits quietly, gashs torn into his alien armor. But as he gazes foreward with dead eyes, he brings a hand to his mouth.
And into it, Yoshimitsu lets loose a harsh, mechanical yawn.

"
Your technique is impressive.
Such skill! Such grace!
But you bear a chip upon ones shoulder.
And carry the plums of bitter fruit.

Strength is more than skill
For a leader of a clan
You have yet to prove
Yourself over your sister!
"

And there, Yoshimitsu waits cross-legged for a response from the woman.

As Yoshimitsu questions her she looks at him with eyes half lidded and weary, "My visions and dreams were long ago ground to dirt beneath the heel of reality. Once I wanted to be nothing more than an ordinary girl, but no longer. Now I want my family to be great once again, and the Crescent Moon style to be respected."

The repeated parrying doesn't cause Kaida to lose heart, and though her attacks are intercepted she twists her bokken to let it slip from the other blade so that she can continue her dance unimpeded, her form precise and refined.

When the ninja lands in a perfect sit she gives one swipe of her blade through the air and holds it at her side, ready but unthreatening. "You flatter me one moment and insult me the next. But yes, you are correct. As much as I feel I am deserving I must push myself to overcome the obstacle of my sister." She closes her eyes for a moment and lets out a little sigh. "Don't get me wrong, she is family and I love her, but she is given to flights of fancy. She is too centered upon herself to lead, unless she were to change."

Was this all simply an insult?

Yoshimitsu sits, the lights in his eyes flickering out. It is as if a candle winks out from within the warrior, the light from within dying. Unmoving. A dead corpse, sitting in respose. That was his reaction to her words. The sword still burned with that alien energy, and yet, what was he doing. Sleeping? Listening? Or did he simply die? Finally, a sound begin to break from him. The sound of a shamisen, carefully twanging, builds from the chest of the ninja warrior, as he begins to speak, body unchaging.

"You belittle a free spirit
As unfit to serve any but oneself.
Yet your family greatness
Only much hinge on you?

Such Arrogance!
Such Selfishness!
And yet you recognize your flaws.
Such is maturity and wisdom.

You dismiss your dreams as dead
That your vision as forgotten.
And yet, you show much hope and desire.
Why deny the hope that your sister embodies?

Know that a leader must have vision and a dream
And that overcoming your sister
May deny a half of you.
That will bring the clan to entropy

Two sides of the same coin
The Ying and the Yang
You cannot save your clan
Until you accept that within. "

The lights of Yoshi's eyes surge to life, the energy returning. The Shamisen ceases, the soft music stopping cold. Yoshimitsu brings his sword back up, raising it before her. Whirling in place, he suddenly disappears in a flash of energy, only to reappear behind Kaida, weapon held to the side. Looking with those unholy eyes at the girls back, he only states one word at the teenager, as if it tied his entire vision together.

"~NAMU~"

Kaida watches the sitting ninja as he seemingly begins to meditate and speak deep thoughts on her condition and her family, the music unnerving her for a moment as it begins to play. She isn't about to sit down with him but her form relaxes as he speaks, odd since his actual voice is quite grating. When he's done she looks about to speak, only for the ninja to disappear before her eyes and reappear someplace behind her.

Her eyes narrow a little in annoyance, and she turns slowly to face him, looking up into his unnatural, blazing green eyes. "You know much and have wisdom, but you assume much also. My sister does not seek what is best for our family. I do. She is who she is, and I only fault her for it while she still seeks to compete with me for the position of heir. I've seen everything we've had stripped away from us too many times to want to abandon them for trinkets."

As she speaks her tone becomes more firm, more sure of what she's saying, and her hand grips more tightly around the hilt of her wooden sword, "You said you came to rest my resolve. So do it! See that I am willing to strive and suffer for that which I seek. I will return my family to it's rightful position, even if it takes a lifetime of obstacles to overcome."

Having spoken she lifts her sword up again, taking a half step back from the ninja while holding it tightly with both hands, the sword perfectly between them in an unspoken challenge, held perfectly so as not to break the now locked eye contact.

And for that beautiful moment, Yoshimitsu does not speak.

Yoshi had spoken his words. A mental test, and an emotional one. Tests were best when unexpected; it reflected true strength from a woman who can think fast on her feet. Kaida words lack any reaction from the stoic ninja. But as she brings her own weapons to bear, Yoshi does in kind. Weapon ready, he begins to runs towards the woman, jumping into the air. But his sword is not ready for an overhead strike. Landing upon his feet, he brings his sword away from Kaida.

And then he spins.

Whirrling with blinding speed, he brings his fists out, clutching the blade. Hurling himself hard into the teenager, he spins faster and faster, bringing unstoppable power and strength into the attack until the fourth smash....

Where he collapses on the ground, dizzy from the effort.

Kaida takes a measured step back as Yoshimitsu leaps into the air. She begins raising her sword to catch an overhead attack, only to notice the positioning of the blade and take a much larger hop back. It leaves him just short of her as he begins spinning, but the glint in her eye tells that her intent isn't to avoid his blows. As she hopped she'd drawn her sword back and held it low, so that when he begins spinning she can charge forward and unleash a powerful underhand swing, the tip of the sword only just missing the ground, "Crescent Moon style signature technique- Crescent Slash!"

The weapon slices through air in a beautiful circular arc, her white chi leaving a visible crescent streak as it pounds into Yoshimitsu just as his outstretched fists smash into her, the young woman sent stumbling to the side with her teeth clenched from pain, even as the ninja is propelled into the air.

"The Crescent Moon is not to be underestimated, even from it's pupils," she states, straightening back up, trying to appear strong and vital despite her heavy breaths and favoring of her injured body.

Unacceptable!

Kaida's response to his eccentric technique was commendable, there was no doubt in that. The underhand swing lifts Yoshi into the air, the overwhelming offense sending him hurtling he finally lands with a harsh crunch, cracking the asphalt and concrete. No flight of fancy, no teleportation. Only a clean, knock down.

But this time, he laughs.

"Hah hah hah!
Hah hah hah!
Ah hah hah!
Hah hah hah!"

Rising up again, Yoshimitsu grips the blade tightly. Raising the weapon high over his head, he advances towards Kaida with delicate footwork. Circling the girl, he positions carefully, his sword hanging high for the incoming blow. It does not, however, come without an introduction. Instead of dropping the blade down, the ninja's heavy metal elbow comes smashing down. Once. Twice. And a third time the door knocker from, finally finishing with a powerful, single overhead swipe of the glowing blade.

"KYA!"

Kaida says, "?"

It's never a good feeling when someone simply laughs when they get solidly struck by one of your most powerful techniques, but in this case Kaida doesn't mind. For some reason it seems like he's laughing with her, rather than at her.

As he begins advancing towards her she follows his footsteps carefully, circling with him and keeping her blade held between the two in order to parry. But it isn't the sword that comes first, instead his elbow, and she lifts her right arm to intervene. A painful choice, because she soon finds just how metallic Yoshimitsu is, the repeated strikes crushing her lower and lower as she lets out a gasp of pain.

She's battered so hard that she loses grip on her sword with her other arm, the battering sending shooting pains through her left shoulder, so badly cut before. When the sword comes down it looks ready to cleave her in two, but just in time she's able to slip free her other bokken and catch the sword with it, nearly bent over backwards from the force of the blow, the energy radiating off the weapon viciously stinging her hand, the ancient blade so near the hilt of her own.

In the end she has to twist out from under it in order to not be forced to the ground, stumbling at first but then dashing away. She's left looking ragged, and nearly beaten. But not quite yet.

Forcing her ragged breath to steady she gazes over to Yoshimitsu. "I've shown you my family's most powerful technique already. Now let me show you mine."

She closes her eyes and lets out a exhalation of breath, extending her arms to her sides, the weapons glowing with charged energy flowing through them as she raises them up over her head, "Ultimate..."

They swing down, their glow turning into a bright flare that streaks out from her and towards Yoshimitsu in a large crescent of concussive energy, "MOONLIT SWORD!"

Yoshimitsu's laughter was in high spirits.

But not all spirits are always kind. The ninja, slamming brutally against the guard of the the woman. Yoshimitsu may be renowned for his swordplay, but his technique expands well beyond the boundaries of mundane style such as that. As the last of the hammering comes, he is already in position for her next demonstration. In fact, Yoshimitsu draws his own sword make, readying for a coup de grace. Power building, he draws further and further back. As the young woman unleashes the blast of energy, he simply stands there unmoving, the energy peeling away his clothing, and soon, even his own metal skin. As the assault wanes, the power reaches its apex. Yoshmitsu swiftly lunges in his sword, deep and powerful between Kaida's eyes.

But Yoshimitsu stops short.

Blade inches from Kaida, he draws it back. Arming spinning of its own accord, Yoshitmitsu brings his sword to the side.Promptly, he sits down in a cross-legged position. Carefully, his free hand begins to run along the length of the blade. As the metallic hand moves across the green light, the energy of the katana begins to wane, dying down slowly. Cheerfully, the metallic voice rasps out loudly.

"Examination complete!
This fight is now over.
I abicate to your technique
Such a good sport deserves respect!

I will need time to pass judgement.
But if you need immediate advice
Your technique needs refinement
Find more proper opponents!"

The light but a dim light now, Yoshimitsu waits silently for his opponent's response.

With Yoshimitsu having taken the brunt of the blast and yet still breaking through there would be no time for Kaida to respond. As well as she may have performed his power far outstrips hers, never mind his speed. Her technique is descendant from samurai, his from ninja. Just as she's about to make some desperate attempt to stop him the blade stops before her, the energy flowing over it painful and just short of harmful.

She lets out a little sigh of relief, knowing she had little left and that she would have refused to yield until completely unable to defend herself. She almost expects the music to start again as the bizarre man sits down and extinguishes his blade. Curious, she notices, because he doesn't seem to be fueling that energy himself.

At his advice she manages to smile a little, through the pain. "You are right, of course. For too long my only opponents were my father and my sister, and my techniques reflect that. The ones I would have faced today wouldn't have been strong enough to make me think. It's been far too long since I've fought someone of your skill. Thank you. I'd forgotten what it was like to have to push myself to the edge... in an honorable spar."

She sheathes her swords then, and with her strong arm still resting on the bokken's hilt bows low and respectful to Yoshimitsu.

Yoshimitsu was well damaged by the encounter, there was no doubt in that.

This was a training exercise, though. An examination of skill. Yoshimitsu had gone to test the Inoue Clan, and for now, he was... content. There was still potential for good within the clan. But he would be watchful of the hatred that was sitting in her heart. The envy, the bitterness. Listening carefully to the girl, he gives one single nod, before responding in that jovial, mechanical tone.

"Showing respect to your elders
An admirable action!
You have much to learn, yes.
But already you show insight.

Perhaps you should be rewarded.
For allowing me to take your time.
Let me bestow you with a gift.

A token of our encounter!"

Yoshmitsu begins to rise into the air, his sword arm spinning like a helicoptor rotary. Lifting to the sky, he hovers in place briefly, gazing down on the teenage girl. Taking his other hand, he begins to rummage out his chest. From within, he pulls out a fine looking italian leather wallet. Holding it out, he tosses it down at Kaida's feet, the contents spilling out. An ID of some businessman, and a fat stack of yen. A stolen wallet was the gift? With that, Yoshimitsu takes to the skies, flying over the top of a nearby building inconspiciously. Laughing all the way.

"HA HA HA!"

COMBATSYS: Yoshimitsu has left the fight here.

Kaida straightens back up and watches Yoshimitsu with mild stupefaction, wondering how he doesn't ruin his arm spinning it like that. The ways of ninja are truly mysterious. She walks forward and picks up the wallet, gazing curiously at the ID inside of it before shrugging vaguely and pocketing it, the not so secretive ninja making his exit and no doubt drawing quite a lot of attention.

"I wonder what it means, to have the likes of him keeping track of our family..." she mutters quietly to herself. For now, however, his appearance has strengthened her resolve, even if the next time his tidings might be more frightful than helpful. "He's right about one thing... it's time I stopped fighting with trash and got back to finding opponents with skill. He could have killed me, if he had mind to."

COMBATSYS: Kaida has ended the fight here.
