Description: It's a Neo League battle in the Southtown Shopping Center. Hometown hero Yuri Sakazaki takes on the eccentric and unique Caiohme MacNair. Will the hometown hero hold out, or will the eccentric fighter come out on top? (WINNER: Yuri)
The Southtown Village Mall, an outdoor type of place where you can walk around outside while still visiting the stores on the inside. It's like a park meets a shopping center. And where there's a large park, there's definitely room for a fight to take place. Namely, a battle of the Neo League! In the main area of the mall, a large fighting area has been set up, while spectators are gathering left and right for the battle that's about to begin. And one of the fighters in this battle just happens to be a famous face in Southtown: Miss Yuri Sakazaki, the self-proclaimed spokeswoman of Kyokugen Karate, always ready to show off the style to prove how awesome it truly is!
Being greeted by cheering fans, Yuri waves eagerly to them as she enters the fighting area, then looks at everyone in general. "Helloooooooooooo everyboooooooody!" Yuri cries out with a big grin. "Thank you all for coming to this awesome demonstration of the awesome style of Kyokugen Karate! I'm Yuri, and soon, I'm gonna be a true master of the style!" She points to her brown belt. "I'm gonna keep training myself and proving the style so I can become a real black belt, just like my brother! Isn't that awesome?" The crowd cheers. "I knew it! This is gonna be an exciting fight, so hold on to your seats and get ready!"
Today, Caiomhe has donned a short ponytail in a deep violet hue, along with a wine red sport top, a short black pair of fighting shorts. Her feet are left bare in anticipation of the fight, and she too seems happy to be here, though she is about as far from a local favourite as can be, being both a newcomer to the fighting scene and a long way from home. As she enters the fighting area, she gives a few cartwheels before stopping across from Yuri.
"G'day to ya, Southtown!" she says with a smile and a wave as she turns to address them. "In case you had trouble reading it aloud, me name's Caiomhe MacNair." She then turns to Yuri as she adopts a loose fighting posture, speaking in a friendly tone and more to her opponent than the crowd. "Heard ya had a bout with Murderhouse. I'd say I hope you have better luck today, but I don't think I'd stand a chance if ya did. He's a lot tougher'n I am." Raising her hands in defense, she says, "Ready when y'are."

"That big bully ain't got nothing on Kyokugen Karate," Yuri says with an evil smirk as she gets into her fighting stance. "He may be big, but in reality he's just a bad bully. To be honest, that guy doesn't scare me at all!" She cracks her knuckles and rolls her neck around, briefly glancing at Caiomhe's bare feet and comparing them to her sneaker-clad feet. "This fight is gonna be a whole lot of fun, though!" Yuri then adds as she raises her eyebrows again. "The awesomeness of Kyokugen Karate is gonna be shown!"
When Caiomhe gets into her defensive stance, Yuri winks and then waits for the bell to sound, before stepping towards Caiomhe. "All right, get ready, because this is where the demonstration begins... and you're going to see a first-hand demonstration!" She then attempts to deliver a thrusting kick aimed at Caiomhe's stomach.

Caiomhe reflexively raises her hands to deflect the kick aimed at her stomach, pivoting to minimize the impact of the attack and putting some distance between them. "I do enjoy a good demonstration. Maybe I can learn somethin' from the way you kick. Here's how I do," she says as she responds by whirling into action, twisting as she moves toward her opponent and aiming a broadly sweeping capoeira kick at her upper body.

"And what can you do?" Yuri asks with a slight smirk, wondering what Caiomhe is planning. Then she sees that dance-type kick coming at her, and Yuri attempts to jump backwards, but mistimes it just a little and finds herself getting hit by Caiohme's bare foot. She oofs and holds her wounded spot a little before shaking it off.
"That was pretty neat. Is that Capoeira? Because I've heard about how that involves dancing when you fight." Yuri seems to be impressed by this. "But it will never be as cool as Kyokugen Karate. In fact, I've got quite the array of tricks up my sleeve!" She then attempts to launch herself into Caiohme, using a technique similar to the Dragon Punch, but with a unique touch added by Yuri herself.

"Ah, a tricksy one, are you?" Caiomhe responds as she leans forward slightly, having adopted the traditional capoeira stance as she landed. Seeing the younger fighter launch herself for the uppercut, she waits to spin out of the way of the attack at the last moment. "That looked like it woulda hurt," she quips as she circles Yuri. "This one's not Capoeira," she says before suddenly charging at her opponent and launching into the air with a wrestling style double-legged dropkick.

Yuri watches as Caiomhe goes into the air. "That looks more like..." Yuri trails off as Caiomhe's feet come at her in double trouble, and before she knows what's happened, Yuri's been hit... albeit slightly as she twists to the side. "Owww," Yuri comments as she rubs at her shoulder. "I'm glad my dad didn't see that, otherwise that would be another delay on getting my black belt," Yuri comments as she rubs her shoulder.
"That one looked more like an acrobatic style attack," Yuri then says to Caiomhe as she continues to rub at her shoulder. "It's quite interesting, you know a lot of things. But Kyokugen will always be top style for me! I'm going to become a black belt soon, just like my brother!" Yuri grins and watches Caiomhe, waiting to see what else she's capable of.

"I learned that one when I was wrestlin'," Caiomhe says as she uses Yuri's pause to put some space between the two, her bare feet skipping lightly across the ground. "This one, I learned in Mexico." She takes a running start across the fighting space before springing into the air, aiming to land with her legs on Yuri's shoulders. If the move is successful, she will grip her opponent's head between her legs, give her body a twist and release to send the other girl to the ring floor in a move commonly known in wrestling as a 'rana.' If not, she will most likely embarrass herself.

"Wrestling? Awww, wrestling is all fake! In fact, that guy who calls himself El Fuerte thinks he's a wrestler. At least he's better at that than he is with his cooking! YUCK!" Yuri sticks her tongue out to emphasise the last word. "And you learned that in Mexico? Well, I learned this myself, and I just showed it to you, so I'm gonna show you again!"
Yuri once again launches into her signature uppercut attack, and this time she connects just as Caiomhe's feet connect with her, knocking both girls away. Yuri rolls sideways before landing in a semi-crouched position with one leg extended. Then she gets up and dusts herself off. "That's the type of stuff a black belt like me should be able to do... although, getting hit wasn't part of the plan!" She scratches the back of her head nervously.
Caiomhe ends up getting hit rather hard in the gut as Yuri counters her aerial maneuver with her uppercut. The blow knocks her out of the air and onto her backside, where it takes her a moment to collect herself before kipping up to her feet. "Suppose I'd best not be quite so reckless, aye? The fight's only gettin' started, after all." She keeps her gaze steady on Yuri as she steps in again, testing the waters with a light snap kick toward her abdomen.

"Nope, recklessness will get you nowhere, except knocked on your butt... And maybe given a couple hundred push-ups as a penalty for slacking off!" Yuri frowns a little as she remembers all the times her father instilled (in her mind) cruel punishments for mistakes during her training. "Of course, you don't look like you need that." As Yuri finishes speaking, she gets into a standard Kyokugen defensive stance, protecting her abs from being kicked. As Caiomhe's bare foot is deflected away, Yuri then grins. "You've done well so far, but can you top THIS?" Yuri brings one of her hands back and almost immediately charges some of her chi into it, before sending it forth while calling out, "Ko'ou Ken!"

"There's a new one," Caiomhe barely has time to breathe as she decides on a recourse for her situation. Turning her back to her opponent as the burst of chi flies at her, she slips her hands between her top and bottoms to where she has secreted a substantial number of knockout darts, hidden on a belt around her stomach and in her shorts. Whirling back around, she releases a veritable storm of them toward her opponent - where exactly did those come from, anyway? "HAPPY DART PANIC ATTACK!" she yells, as if firing an energy attack of her own.

"What? Are you kidding me?!" Yuri blurts out as the darts go through her projectile, before attempting to brace herself for the incoming darts. But there's nothing she can do, they're too fast for her. She finds herself getting pelted by the needles, which knock her backwards, and leave her feeling like a swiss cheese... while her body starts to slow down a little. What the hell did Caiomhe put in those?!
"That wasn't very nice!" Yuri says as she tries to shake her fist at Caiomhe. But there's something that's making her feel woozy. "Whatever you put in those, it's not gonna stop me. Many masters have endured things worse than that. I'm gonna prove that I'm tough enough to be a black belt!" Yuri says with a weakened voice, but you can tell there's a lot of determination within her.

"Magic," Caiomhe replies, "fighting dirty is something I learned when I was back home." She makes sure her outfit is still snug and her ponytail still tied in place, before deciding to capitalize on Yuri's dazed state by advancing swiftly, hopping upward again and aiming to take Yuri down with a flying armbar.

Yuri simply focuses on getting her focus back into her body and the will to fight back into her mind. She doesn't care about what Caiomhe's saying right now, since being a true black belt means being focused and ignoring other things. Which is ironic given that Yuri has trouble ignoring things like that at times. When she opens her eyes again, she spots Caiomhe coming at her, and Yuri shakes her head. "Oh no you don't!" Yuri exclaims as she rolls forwards, avoiding Caiomhe completely.
"You hit me hard there, but it doesn't mean that it's over yet!" Yuri crouches down while waiting for Caiomhe to land, before attempting to stick out one of her legs. "I'm gonna sweep you away!" Yuri then adds as she attempts to foot-sweep Caiohme right after she lands.

Caiomhe tucks in mid-air as she misses with her attempt, hitting the ground on her feet. She doesn't manage to avoid the foot sweep and is indeed taken off of her feet, but manages to brace her body against the fall before she hits the ground. Rolling to one side, she attempts to grab at one of Yuri's legs with both hands before she can regain her footing and pull her into an ankle lock. "Oh, I ain't hit ya hard yet, lass. You'll know it when I do."

If Caiomhe has yet to hit hard, Yuri isn't believing it right now. She thinks she knows how to avoid a grapple like that, but it's no use. Yuri's caught and put into an ankle lock, which causes her to cry out in pain, untill she finally manages to break free. She shakes out her leg, trying to forget about the pain in her ankle while trying to stand up again. "That's not your hardest? Well, I can hit harder than I've been hitting before too," Yuri says while narrowing her eyes and struggling to maintain her balance on her bad ankle.
"Don't worry about my ankle, by the way," Yuri then adds with a sarcastic glare. "I can endure anything, and I'm sure there's plenty I could endure that would make my brother cry 'uncle' for sure!" Despite her gritted teeth and tears welling in her eyes as she stares, it's obvious that Yuri's body and mind are two different things, almost like a contradiction. "So, let's see how you like this!" Yuri brings both hands behind her this time, focusing her power, then sends forth a large fireball-style projectile while calling out, "Haoh Sho Ko Ken!"

Caiomhe spins up to her full height as Yuri breaks free of the ankle lock. She raises one eyebrow slightly when her opponent starts to rant a little. "Wait, what's yer brother got to do with-" Her eyes go wide as her vision is suddenly filled with the ball of fire. "Ah, shite!" she says as she attempts to throw herself out of the projectile's path, but not quick enough this time, the flames scorching her skin as the attack engulfs her. As the air clears of smoke, Caiomhe is revealed looking much worse for wear, singe marks covering her skin, her clothing badly burnt, but her eyes still gazing at Yuri with determination. "Well..." She pants, "...that was certainly harder, alright."

"To answer your question," Yuri comments with a smug grin, "My brother is a high ranking black belt in Kyokugen Karate, in fact he's only second highest in comparison to my father, who happens to be the creator of the style! I may be a brown belt, but I'm gonna become a black belt soon. I know that I've mastered my family's style, but my father still refuses to believe it. So I'm trying to prove it by improving myself and trying to recruit new students."
Yuri then dusts her hands off casually while looking at Caiomhe. "Aww, did I hurt you too badly?" She chuckles. "Come on, you were doing well before, so why the change?"

"Ne'er been cooked like that before," Caiomhe responds, licking her lips and swallowing before her expression becomes once again pleasant and placid. "Now, I suppose I'd best show you what I was talkin' about - when I mentioned hittin' hard!" she says as she rushes Yuri, aiming to hit her with a knee to the gut intended to double her over, which, if successful, she will follow up by grabbing Yuri's head and forcing it between her thighs and raising her arms in a victory signal before doing a full forward 360 degree flip ending by piledriving Yuri face-first into the ground.

Yuri is caught and goes for quite the ride. While Caiomhe shows off during her attack, Yuri finds herself being tossed and grabbed, and then gets smashed into the ground. As she hits the ground, she lands flat on her face literally, and appears to be a Yuri pancake! But for something so harsh and a girl so petite, Yuri doesn't give up even in the face of defeat. She pushes herself up, much to the admiration of her fans in the audience. Her face is bruised and bloodied, and she's definitely struggling to keep herself up.
"That was pretty good, but how would you like to try getting hit harder than I did before?" Yuri closes her eyes and steps towards Caiomhe weakly, focusing her chi. She then steps towards Caiomhe again, then opens her eyes once again. "Here it comes!" Yuri then sends forth several large fireball projectiles at Caiomhe while calling out, "DENJIN HAOH SHO KO KEN!"

Caiomhe ends up rolling to her feet after driving Yuri into the ground, already raising her arms as if in victory. After all, no one who'd just taken that much damage could get back up, right? When she hears the crowd cheering, she assumes they are applauding her victory. It isn't until she hears Yuri's voice that she realises it isn't over yet. She turns around, sees Yuri charging her chi, and has time to mutter a curse before the onslaught begins. She tries to close the gap between them, attempting to wheel past the balls of fire, but the effort is futile. Pummeled by blast after blast, she staggers dizzily before coming to a pause in front of Yuri. Determined not to go down without one last effort, she forces her body into the air, attempting one last rana takedown before she collapses.

"That was close," Yuri comments as Caiomhe comes at her for one final attack, but she staggers backwards in the nick of time to avoid being hit, causing Caiomhe to hit the ground instead of Yuri. The good news is that the fighting surface is fairly soft, so she won't be too injured. The bad news, the fight is now over, and Yuri is the official winner. It was a close one, but the might of Kyokugen Karate came out on top.
"Hey, that was a good fight, actually," Yuri says to her now-down opponent. "We'll have to spar again sometime." Then Yuri staggers off to the side, trying not to pass out herself as she holds onto a nearby object. She's won, but just barely. Still, enduring injury and things like that is important when trying to get better. "It's too bad my dad didn't see that, he'd love that!" Yuri then turns to her fans and gives a wink and a grin with a thumbs-up.
