Raiden - Big Bear's Mall Trip

Description: Big Bear is out playing with he kittens at the local mall in Metro when he happens to gain the attention of May Lee. The girl means well, but she might have just got herself into a dangerous Syndicate trap if she proves to be too much of a problem.

Another day in Metro City. A quiet one at that for once. Or as quite as things can be at the mall. The place is packed with kids out of school that have nothing better to do as well as people enjoying a day off. One of those people enjoying his day off pretty much stands out among them all. Down in one of the mall's corners is a pet store that has a rather large man standing in front of one of the displays. Said display has a group of sleeping kittens all curled up into a ball resting. D'aww, cute little guys.

There is a gentle tapping on the window and the deep voice of Big Bear is heard. "Wake up little kitties." Cats, they are not at all like a koala and that is good enough reason for Big Bear to like them. That and they are so cute when little. Then they turn into a litter and poop machine that ignores you. As much as he would like to take them all home, not to eat them, the life he lives is a bit too hectic to own pets. Bethany has some personal servants for her dog and Duke usually has someone take care of his. Heck, even Big Bear got to feed them once! He just wasn't allowed to feed them too much because Hyena was coming by later that day for a 'meeting'.

The big aussie is actually in casual wear today. No tights and no mask as he debates actually going in. He busted some heads earlier so now it is relaxation time. Perhaps even a few beers once he is done window shopping. He might also stop by the lucha store just to mess up the El Fuerte masks there. Why? Because he's Big Bear.

'How will you pay for it?' Kim had asked. It was a fair question. Trips to America don't pay for themselves, and May had run through almost all of her savings just trying to keep up with the rash of Shadaloo offensives around the world. May Lee may have won the hearts of the people of Korea... but she is not a household name in the fighting world, and she has no intention of asking anyone else to fund her way.

And so now, Barista of Justice, May Lee, is leaving the mall Starbucks. And she looks... /beat/.

The mall is hard work! But, it is also a nice place to hang out. Still dressed in her barista uniform, although with the addition of a green froggy scarf, May Lee is sipping a lime frappuchino as she wanders through the place. She really ought to get home, but, she does like to do a little windowshopping, and the pet shop had the cutest--

Her Evil sense is tingling!

May walks over towards Big Bear slowly. She's not feeling up to jumping around like usual right now, and... and this guy just looks, huge. And familiar. But she can't put her finger on it. Wait, she knows how to solve this.

She swings her rucksack off her back, and, after some rummaging... she puts on her brand new goggles! Wearing them properly for once, the newly begoggle'd May Lee walks right up to Raiden, and peers at him, close, as though scrutinizing a particularly flabby statue.

"Hmmmmmmm...."

Flabby in places, but well those arms. They are like some weird treetrunks with hams for hands. Mmmm, ham. He still remains distracted for a bit until he realizes someone is looking at him. A fan of some sort maybe? Mall security? He turns about and then finds himself looking down at the much smaller May Lee while raising a brow. He had heard about some weird girl attacking Duke awhile back. Is this the same one? She kinda matches the description and he was told she might be aligned with the that trio of annoyances that have been running around Metro considering themselves heroes.

"What can I do for you?" he asks as he turns about and smiles wide. For some reason there is a vibe he gives off. Maybe it is just the long shift making May Lee's mind wander more so than normal? The man is looking at kittens. How could he possibly be evil if he likes those.

He steps to the side some to not take up all the room in front of the display. "You come to look too? I travel too much around the world and it would be too tough. Still makes me want to get one of the lil buggers." he says with a bit of a laugh. What is with the goggles anyways? Does she think she is some comic book hero too? Ugh, he has had to deal with some of those in the ring. Super Falcon in Europe was always a pain. Same with Inky the Squid Boy. Is she as squishy as those two are?

"I considered getting a frog." May admits, to the /shock/ of her legions of fans, who had never made the connection in her motif at all. But frogs are cute! "But... I travel around a lot too." The thing is, twice now, she has attacked people on the assumption that they are evil. Brett may never recover from the crippling fear of attractive teenage girls she has instilled in him, and poor Rust's dignity...

Well okay she didn't do much more damage to that.

May looks from the kittens, then back to Big Bear. Then to the kittens again. Then back to Big Bear. She feels like she should know this guy. Huge? Ham-hands? ... Is it Zangief?

No, no, Zangief has black hair. And this guy is wearing a shirt.

"Look." She says, her hands moving to her hips. "I just got off a really long shift. I had this old lady refuse to realize that you have to pay for the biscotti, and, well, I feel like I should *know* you from somewhere. I'm just gonna come out and ask."

And one finger comes up to point, accusingly, at Raiden. "Are you evil? Don't lie to me! Kim taught me how to sense people who lie about justice!"

Yeup, it seems like he was right. He seems actually a bit amused at the way the young one comes out with it and straight up asks. The guy is a bit on the notorious side, but really as a head cracker he isn't seen as much as he is without the mask and using his other persona. The guy loves what he does and he wouldn't become disloyal to Geese, but hey he can be a nice guy. Right now he is doing just that. Is it all just part of the Big Bear persona? The loveable lug that can fold a person in half with ease when they get on his bad side? That is a pretty big side so it is easy to get on too.

He just lets that smile go wider and he lets out a big of a laugh. "Evil?" he shakes his head and reaches out to pat the girl on the shoulder a bit hard. Perhaps he just doesn't know his own strength. He folds his arms over his broad chest and that smile never leaves his face. "I know Kim! We have crossed paths before. You should just ask him one day." Oh yes, that is probably asking for trouble. It might also show he isn't too worried about the young woman giving him a hard time.

His gaze travels around as he hmms. "I do have an evil twin. Be careful of a guy like me in a mask. He is pretty dangerous." Now he is just having fun. Does he believe May Lee will really fall for it? No, probably not. In fact it might just get her angered somewhat for mocking her in such a way.

"An evil twin?!"

May Lee sounds genuinely shocked at the development. Big Bear might not think that May would fall for it, but... the truth is, May /lives/ for this sort of thing. The notion that there's a big bad man out there with a nice twin? That seems perfectly logical and coherent to her. In fact, now she lifts her goggles up, and places them on her head.

"Wait a second!"

And she snaps her fingers. "You're Raiden's /BROTHER?/" She asks, sounding just a little awed. She knew Raiden! He was one of the big bad men around town that she is looking for in order to dish out Justice! "Gosh, I can't even imagine how it would be to have such a...

Vile.

Conniving.

Ugly.

/FAT/.

Man as your brother!"

And then she realizes that they are supposedly identical twins, and she coughs, scratching behind the back of her head. "I mean, uh, that's really rough! But, don't worry, I'll... be putting him behind bars, soon! And then you can get on without him ruining your reputation and stealing your girlfriend, and other things evil twin brothers do!"

She laughs, heartily and long, to try and cover up her astoundingly terrible social faux pas. After all, this is a friend of Kim's! She shouldn't be so rude!

There is a few moments and May Lee finds herself not picked up and put through a wall. It seems like Big Bear at least doesn't seem too bothered by the way she used to describe his 'brother'. "He very much is. Shakes down kids for their lunch money, beats up shop owners. I once saw him flip a wrestling ring somehow! There were four men in it! Oh it was a mess." He seems to be having too much fun here now. Perhaps he is getting too into becoming a story teller right now.

He steps over and leans forward. He gives a bit of a wink. "Just steer clear of him, missy. We don't want you to get hurt. I know you are one of Kim's students, but this man isn't like anything you have had to deal with." Scaring her off isn't going to work. Maybe it is just him setting her up to go after him at a later date when the mask is on and he feels like getting into a bit of a fight.

He straightens back up and gives another rough pat on the shoulder. "Maybe stick with the coffee serving job. The mall is usually safe when Mad Gear isn't trying to pretend they are still important and push people about it in." he gives a large arm a flex. "That is when Big Bear comes to save the day!"

May Lee looks skeptical. She had done her research! And she hadn't come across any heroes called Big Bear. The young woman purses her lips, and seems to consider what she's told pretty seriously; because she's trying to place this guy!

"Oh, don't worry!" She says, with a grin. "I might be serving up coffee now, but I serve up HOT JUSTICE on demand! Why, I beat up the North Korean army, AND the Shadaloo army!" Her chest puffs out a little with pride. It isn't as though she'd decided to come on this journey because she didn't think she could handle it, after all! She's earned her justice stripes!

And then the pieces fall into place, and her face breaks into an expression of... pity.

One hand comes up to gently pat one of those huge, meaty arms. "Look. You shouldn't feel bad just because your brother is a jerk." She says, seriously. "I'm sure Kim showed you how to throw a good kick, but... don't put yourself in danger, okay? Leave this to the professionals. You don't want to get hurt." Apparently, May fully subscribes to the notion that just being a huge guy doesn't mean you are a /dangerous/ guy. Heck, she's beat up people at least twice as big as she is before! It isn't THAT difficult! And if Big Bear goes after this horrible Raiden guy, he sounds like he could really get hurt!

There is no end to the big man's amusement. He tries to look a bit saddened by getting the talk about being more careful. If only May Lee knew she could easily have a good run in wrestling. People love the dopey and easy to fool heroes. The underdog that is always tricked until they realize it and they fight back. It is like some weird storyline unfolding right before him. "Maybe you are right. I should just stick to the wrestling ring."

Just how long can he keep up this ruse? It seems all too easy. He isn't worried about getting tugged into a trap. He has easily handled multiple people at once that think they can just gang up on him. She seems like she would fit in just fine with those other three yahoos around town. Maybe he should speak to Duke and see if she is worth 'removing' while she is still on her own. On their own most of these people seem to be easy to get rid of, but they start to turn into goddamn roaches when they all get together.

"I tell you what, kid! If I see my brother causing trouble you will be first to know. You seem to be able to handle yourself well enough so I know you are more than capable of handling him!"

May Lee smiles easily - in fact, she rarely ever stops smiling - and whilst she is easy to fool in some ways... where it counts, she's got all the stamina and determination of a true hero. The path of Justice never runs easy, but she'll get to the bottom of all this, and she'll save the day! She won't rest until the good people of Metro City don't have to worry about this dark shadow any more!

She'll bring Big Bear out into the light!

"That's a good idea!" She says, and her smile widens even further. In a sudden flash, she's got her mobile phone out - a bright pink one with a cute dangly frog - and she flips it open to show her number. "Give me a call the moment you see him, and I'll come down and show him the power of Tae Kwon JUSTICE!"

Did... did her teeth just ping?

"And if you just want to chat, I hang out here a lot. You seem like a good guy, Big Bear! I'm sure you'll do great in the ring, if you just believe in yourself!"

Oh yes, that's May Lee. She's living her heroic dream, and she won't let a little thing like reality or common sense get in her way.

It might be a good thing she hasn't seen Big Bear in action even without the mask. His matches tend not to end well for many people. He has stopped many a career in the past and he at least seems less destructive when doing his wrestling bit. It is easier now where he gets paid to bust heads outside of the ring now. The large man pulls out his own phone which is decorated with various mask decals on it as he exchanges numbers with the young super hero.

"Oh yeah, sure thing. I will keep you informed." All too easy really. Now he can just pull her into a trap if she ends up being too much trouble. He will report to some of the people higher up and see how they want him to handle this or if she is even worth dealing with right now. She is just slinging coffee at that moment and Duke seemed to take care of her the one time she did stick her nose into Syndicate business.

The wrestler looks to the window one last time and taps the glass. The kittens seem to be awake now and playing. He gives a bit of a finger waggle. "Later kitties." he tells them as his attention turns back to May Lee. "I should go! I got a match to get ready for!" More like a liquor store to rob. On Yamazaki. Always wanting to get booze the easy way.

May Lee smiles brightly to Rai-- Big Bear -- and nods her head. "Good luck!" She says, cheerily, "I might just have to see if I can get tickets some time!" May Lee doesn't really like wrestling as a rule - it is so fake! And, unlike her beloved Tokusatsu, things hardly EVER explode or turn into giant rubbersuited monsters - but she might have to make an exception for this cheery guy.

She is still smiling when he waves goodbye to the kittens, and she waves to them too. "D'aaaaw. They really are cute." She murmurs to herself, after Big Bear has walked away. Well! That was good! And she got Big Bear's number, too! Which meant, if things got really bad, she might at least have a good man she felt certain she could rely on!

And so she carries on her way, slinging her bag over her shoulder, and whistling the Kamen Rider Decade themetune as she goes. For the first time since she beat up Brett, she feels really good about the way this trip is going!
