Hunter - New Territory

Description: Cammy might not remember who she is, but there are those who have been deeply scarred by the former assassin's past life, and they will not let that disappear into the ether. Hunter is acclimatizing herself to her new territory, when she sees the Delta Red agent on the street. Cammy may not be able to comprehend why the world seems to hate her, but Hunter doesn't care. Confronted with this spectre from her past, she chases the woman away... but for how long?

So Cammy has already visited Southtown a couple of times, and been hassled by people there. Not exactly a welcoming place, which is surprising, as Southtown is supposed to be all about the fighters, right? In truth she has a better relationship going on with Metro City gangbangers than the denizens of Southtown.

But she's prepared to give Japan another shot. After all, Ibuki lives here. They aren't all addled noir detectives. And she's sure the addled detective has nothing to do with this place, Sunshine City, so on the her next opportunity she chooses to be marooned here for a couple of days, so she can see what it's like. Her tasks in Metro City may be high priority, but she's a busy agent, and she had a folder to take to the embassy in Tokyo. High security stuff, personal delivery sort of thing. But that's all done, so she has some free time.

That said, she's not so impressed so far, as she pauses on one crossroads and looks around, hands on hips, just before she adjusts her beret a bit anyway. "Looks like Metro City's slums." she mutters to herself.

And with senses like Cammy's, it might just be that she feels like she's being watched.

Hunter has been trying to get used to this new territory. It is a strange and unpleasant place, and she dislikes the fact that she has to stick to the rooftops and rely on buying food to survive. She hadn't believed that the birds and animals would really be all that poisonous, but it soon became clear that they really were. Rats and pigeons are right out in this filthy city, and the cats and dogs are scarcely any better.

For a while, she'd hallucinated. Convinced herself that her mother or sister were just around the corner, but... they never appeared. When she caught sight of that legendary braid, her eyes had narrowed and she had begun her pursuit.

But Cammy isn't murdering. Not yet anyway. And whilst anger rises thick and heavy in Hunter's breast, threatening to drown out her reason and plunge her into violence... she's not going to go there immediately. Instead, she leaps from the rooftop, to land behind the Agent. Every inch of her bearing screams violence and hatred, though her bow remains on her back.

"What." She snarls. "Are you DOING here, war criminal? On the run now your Master..."

The words seem to die in her lips.

Cammy's feels a sort of sick feeling in her stomach, as deja vu strikes. Turning around, legendary braids twirling around her legendarily, she fixes Hunter with a somewhat wary, and somewhat jaundiced, eye. "Oh dear god, not again..." she groans. "Who the hell are you?" she asks, hands back on her hips again - though she's rather more tense. Daniel just seemed afraid, Hunter seems rather more like she wants to punch Cammy's lights out, so this could be rather more serious.

"I'm no war criminal." she replies, irked. Has Delta Red gone and bombed Japan or something and nobody told her about it? Twice now - twice! "Though I know plenty of them, if you're looking to track down some war criminals and beat them up, save me from doing it." she adds mildly, trying to force herself to be cool. "I'm just looking around is all.". She looks over the road, at a boarded up fried chicken takeaway. "Probably not for very long." she notes, giving Hunter a sidelong glance. "Not exactly the prettiest city. Nor the friendliest, apparently.".

"Oh, I'm sorry, is this a regular problem?"

Hunter is stalking forwards now. Her eyes are blazing with fury, and she squares up to Cammy as she gets closer. The pair are exactly the same height, which makes the expression on her face, of pained anguish, difficult to get away from. Her hands want to grab her weapons, but she's showing admirable restraint, for all her body language and expression are making her desires painfully obvious.

"You know them, huh?" She says, and suddenly, her hands are coming up. She isn't aiming to /hurt/ Cammy, exactly, but she is going to try and push her backwards. "Get the fuck out of my city. You think I'd forget, huh?! You think you can just, waltz around after what you did?!" She's getting agitated, tears welling up in her eyes as her voice rises in pitch.

"How many people did you kill, you monster?! And you DENY it. To MY face?! TO ME?! HOW DARE YOU?!"

Thankfully, this part of Sunshine City is fairly remote and abandoned. But she's still making quite a scene, even for this dilapidated place. And of course, she has escalated to physical contact. (Even if it is so clumsy and laughable as to be /far/ from worthy of a fighter.)

Cammy narrows her eyes, as she gets pushed. She does bring up her arms, red gauntlets ready just in case she's about to get hurt, though given the pushing seems rather clumsy, maybe not. "Hey. There's no need for that...", letting herself be pushed away. She is very small and eminently pushable if she doesn't get out of the way after all.

The bow. The clothes that look homemade. The survivalist motif. Is she some sort of soldier hating hippie? "Kill people? I'm a soldier." she says, nonplussed. "What do you think soldiers do? I don't go out of my way to hurt people, if anything quite the contrary, but I follow orders, like any other soldier. Who /are/ you anyway?".

She tilts her head a little at the tears, and shakes her head. "Look. I really think you've got the wrong person, but if you've suffered due to the war somehow, well, I'm sorry. I know there was a lot of collateral damage, a lot of innocents harmed. Wars are ugly things.".

"YOUR PEOPLE BURNED MY VILLAGE!"

The shriek is truly ear-piercing. Hunter has kept it all bottled up for... so long. Even during the war itself, when she killed that General, when she stepped onto the battlefield against Shadaloo, she kept her emotions bound up inside and refused to let them come to the surface. Cammy might have suffered amnesia, but there's been no such blessed release for Sasithorn Shinawatra. She'd tried to move on, but every moment of every day she just remembers everything she's lost.

"You are the Killer Bee, the untouchable killer whose sting means death!"

Tears flow freely now, even as her hand moves to draw a knife from her side. The concealed weapon is brutal, long and sharp with a serrated edge near the bottom. But even as she raises it up she's sinking to her knees.

"I, I'll kill you." She sobs, bowing her head and just... weeping, "I'll kill you, so, go away, and never come back!"

Every breath is coming hard and short and sharp, every moment like a stab in her chest. Cammy can say she isn't who she says she is all she likes... but frankly, it wouldn't matter if it really was her, or just someone who looked a lot like her.

The day that Cammy came into your village was the most important day of your life. But for Cammy... it's been deleted.

"I can assure you I'm not untouchable, mores the pity. And I've not burned any villages that I know of.". True facts! She's backing away now, hands up, trying to be non-threatening, as it's clear Hunter is more victim than bully. "And I'm no Killer Bee. I'm one of Delta Red's agents, not that I expect you to know who they are.". She sighs, and is a bit torn as to whether she should be walking away, or doing something else - she hovers for a moment as Hunter sinks to her knees, before she finally decides to tentatively advance, eventually crouching down next to her. "I'm sorry..." she says, a little helplessly, as she instinctively reaches out to lay a hand on Hunter's shoulder. "If you really want me to go, I guess I'll leave you in peace... but, well, I don't know. You look like you need help, or a friend, or something. Is there anybody I can call?". She mehs, she's a soldier not a psychologist dammit.

The instant Cammy's hand touches her shoulder, Hunter's knife is in her hands again, and between the pair. The metal really is very bright and very sharp, and glinting in the light. It somehow seems even bigger up close, and Hunter's frantic breathing is just getting worse and worse as she hyperventilates.

"Get, out, of my, city!" She spits, as she crawls backwards. Her pupils are right down to pinpoints, her cheeks flushed and her whole body shaking.

"I don't care about your lies!" She barks, and the knife is waved, precariously, between the pair. Although her reflexes are apparently very good, she's really not showing that she has any idea how to *use* the weapon right now. Her head is swimming. Torn between fleeing and finding somewhere to hide, and trying to skin Cammy and turn her into a new uniform.

"You won't capture me! I won't let you! MY BRAIN IS MINE! GET OUT! GET OUT!"

Cammy's blue eyes are wide, yet calculating, as she stares at the knife for a moment, the cogwheels in her brain turning. With the knife shaking like that she could probably grab it - but... with it shaking like that, it probably isn't much of a threat. May as well leave it there.

Especially as Hunter seems to be in fight or flee mode now, like Daniel was. "I'm not going to do anything to you, capture or otherwise." she mutters. But this sort of encounter just gives Cammy a headache, and she's getting one now; to the point that she reaches up with one hand, to lay it on her temple. She has her own problems as it is, which everybody around her seems to forget, why does she always have to be the patient one?

"Alright, if thats all you want." she says, a bit sourly. Well, not leave the city, maybe leave this street, she will just keep on exploring. "It looks like you'll have a heart attack if I don't anyway.". She stands up, one fluid motion, and frowns at Hunter, a little confused, and backs away a bit, to see if that helps matters.

As Cammy says she'll leave, Hunter seems to calm down a bit. Just as blonde, just as blue-eyed, though hers are tainted with fear and hatred. She backs off as Cammy does, but, when she gets back up to her feet, shaking, she seems to come back to herself. She wipes her eyes with the back of her hand, and shakes her head, her teeth grinding together so hard it actually hurts, until she trusts herself to speak again.

"I don't know what your game is." She says, at last. Her voice is hoarse, but it is at least calmer, as she isn't having a breakdown any more. Her eyes are red and puffy, but focusing.

"But you aren't welcome in Sunshine City. Neither is... this... Delta Red. Whoever they are. You stay out. You go now, and you never come back, or I'll find somewhere prominent to display your head as a warning to others."

It might just be scary. Not the threat exactly - which she seems woefully ill equipped to follow through on - but the whiplash change from emotional wreck to snarling cold and viciously serious. This young woman *clearly* has serious issues.

"You're not the only one with problems, you know." Cammy tells Hunter, voice cold. "But at least when I'm dealing with mine, I'm not going around threatening people with knives. And I don't know what your game is either, beyond that you like picking on tourists. Find some friends, get some help; I'm too busy to deal with this. I tried, alright? Have a nice day.".

The headache is pounding, and Cammy's mood well and truly soured; all it takes is one nutter to ruin her day. "What the hell is wrong with this country anyway?" she mutters to herself, though fairly loudly, and slowly turns away from Hunter, to plod along down the street, the way she was going when Hunter dropped in. Listening, just in case there'll be an attempt to put a knife, or an arrow, into her back. That would hurt.

Hunter's lips press together into a tight, thin line. "Get out." She repeats, and this time, it is coupled with a more meaningful grip on her knife. But she doesn't try to murder Cammy for getting mouthy; she just stares, until Cammy turns the corner, and leaves.

After which, she slips into a nearby alleyway, and is soon scaling the rooftops again. She's getting used to this view of the street... and she can find one of her safe boltholes, out of the grip of thugs and rabid animals, to glare at the world below and try to wrestle with the ghosts of her past. And if any show themselves, put an arrow in their back.
