Description: Neo League fight of Intan versus Takako. Winner: Nobody, it was a tie.
Takako has come back to Japan for only one reason - the best reason - to fight.
The girl stands outside the ruined temple which she has chosen for the fight. Neo League cameras are trained on her, and she waits without so much as a hint of care for them. She is calm, to the extent that she can be. She has been battered by the storm, but she has long since grown used to this kind of freezing pain. Her kimono clings to her, but her bokken is held in front of her, and although the wind whips at her clothes, the girl beneath them does not so much as shiver.
How long she's been here it is impossible to say. It seems like an eternity, and this is an impression shared by the cameramen, who nudge each other at the girl standing in the midst of such utter devastation. "Do you think she's okay?" One asks. "The girl is *crazy*." His friend answers in a low whisper. "I heard she /walked/ here. From /Iran/!"
Takako isn't the only crazy girl here today. Just flown over from the Carribean, Intan hadn't bothered to actually change. So she's still dressed in a black two piece bikini. Krisses strapped to her legs, ten in total, and two more in her hands. The latter are more elaborate than the other ten.
Intan starts to walk onto the 'stage', if that's what you can call it. When she is nearly within view of the cameras, she turns around, makes a backflip that lands her within that view and quickly turns around while landing, throwing her two main knives into the air and making another backflip, catching them in mid-air. "Ready." She says with an amused grin, "To fight!"

If Takako has one flaw, it is that she is not prone to laughter or amusement in the midst of fighting. For her, it is all part of her journey; to advance. To become better tomorrow than she is today. To strike and fight and win. To push herself to the very limit, and beyond. It doesn't take long for her to decide that she doesn't like Intan; the showy flip, the bikini, the cocky smile. These are not things suitable for such a serious venue!
Still, it *is* early to guess.
Whatever the case, Takako doesn't waste a second. "If you're ready to fight..." The girl says, deadly quiet. "Then..."
And suddenly she's dashing across the intervening distance, sure-footed on the slippery ground to bring her bokken around in a slashing arc, aiming to connect firmly with Intan's mid-section with a loud shout.
"DEFEND YOURSELF!"

Aaand it's a hit. Well, sort of. The mid-section wasn't reached, because Intan put her arm in the way of the strike in time to prevent messy things like clean strikes from happening. "Will do." She answers Takako's command, "Or maybe I already did it." With another backflip, Intan increases the distance between herself and Takako. "Perhaps you should try again." She suggests.
Intan does in fact not get any closer to Takako for the moment, circling around the other girl and studying her like a hawk. While she does this, her two knives are held in front of her in a defensive position, it's clear Intan intends to prevent any incoming strikes from landing.

Is she... being mocked?
Well that just won't do. Takako swings her bokken up and around in a flourish. The interesting thing most people notice about her style is that she really has absolutely no care at all about her defense. She just throws herself into it again, and this time, coming in much quicker.
There's no words from Takako on the approach, her teeth are gritted, and her intent is to keep on with Intan. Her bokken dips down low, coming in for the Gedo girl's left leg... but at the last second, she is suddenly twisting upwards, leaning into the strike to overcommit herself, and crash the tip of that wooden sword into Intan's head, combined with a hard shoulder-barge. If Intan thinks she can get away with playing defense, Takako is going to show her the folly of that!

Unfortunately for Takako, Intan is fast. That bokken doesn't land, nor does the shoulder-barge. By the time they arrive, Intan has jumped up in the sky and appears to have landed on her opponent's other side. "Well, I'm getting bored from defense only." She suggests as she makes her attack, striking out with her right kris in a wide stab-slash movement. "Let's see if your defense is any better than your offense, if you don't mind?" Perhaps. Just perhaps Takako /is/ being mocked. "Give it your all, I don't like people who throw matches."

Takako doesn't even try to defend herself; defense is not in her style. Defense is for weak people. The blow is still strong enough to break her forward momentum, which is actually frustrating, but draws nothing more than a low growl from the girl as she slides back across the wet ground. So that's how this girl is going to play it, eh? Disrespect and nuisance words.
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND FIGHT!"
That angry roar is coupled by a far more literal roar.
"KIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
And the air around Takako is suddenly alive, as she slams her foot down and energy shoves out from her in a hard, cutting wave of air. Takako really hates people who jabber meaningless nonsense in a fight; losing is fine, though not as good as winning. Losing to some fool who does not even have respect for the art is galling.

Intan moves to defend herself against that attack, but apparently she's just a little too slow. No matter, she can handle this. With an amused look on her face, she says. "I don't think I'll shut up. Your reactions are amusing." And then she starts to circle around Takako quickly, "You're not bad, but we'll see if you're good enough."
And with that said, the strike comes. Intan lashes out with the other Kris, aiming at Takako's abdomen and seemingly ready to twist the knife a little before taking it out. "Unless you'd like to give up now, of course. That's fine as well."

Takako doesn't even seem to be trying to keep up with Intan. Instead, as the girl with the kris comes in at her, she *lets* herself be stabbed. Stepping into the blow, Takako draws her head back, and about the same time that Intan is saying she finds the way that Takako reacts amusing...
"GRAAAAARGH!"
Whipping her head forward, Takako smashes her forehead brutally hard into Intan's face. Shoving the other girl back with the raw force of it, Takako's furious anger means that she isn't even slowing down now, still advancing with her bokken brandished.
She really is bleeding quite profusely, but if anything this seems to be encouraging Takako to give back harder. As though she is going to let someone get away with such a condescending attitude! She'd spit in the face of Vega himself if he took her so lightly!
"Okay. Now it's starting to get fun." Intan says after being hit in the face with a head, she's bleeding too, but she keeps that smirk. Perhaps because by now she realizes that it's annoying her opponent. "So. Tell me, why did you become a fighter if you can't enjoy it?" A step back, briefly.
And then Intan moves back in to strike again, her left Kris goin for Takako's chest. "I mean, I like to chat while fighting. It makes me feel more engaged in the fight." And she moves back again, drawing the Kris out if she had hit. "You don't?"

Finally, Takako demonstrates that she is, in fact, capable of defendng herself. The kris is met with her bokken, and she continues to step forwards. "I fight to test myself." Takako says, firmly. "I fight to improve my style, and learn! Yes, I enjoy it! How could I not? But people like you, who turn everything into a hurtful game..."
Takako doesn't actually explain what she thinks about people like that. Actions have always spoken louder than words as far as she is concerned, and she is bringing her bokken around in a series of wide, sweeping arcs. The girl's blade may only be made of wood, compared with the steel that her opponent is using, but it is hard to think that one is necessarily more dangerous than the other right now.

Well, Intan didn't manage to get out of the way there. Most unfortunate, "What is a sport if not a game that takes more effort?" Intan answers as she increases her distance yet again. But she doesn't keep her distance for all that long, rushing back in quickly and striking out with one blade, and then the other, and then the first again. It continues like this for a while, it is a truly ruthless assault, and Intan seems intent on making this as effective as she can make it. "And fighting is a sport."

Each blow is delivered perfectly by Intan; drawing more blood, but, this time, Takako does not flinch. The girl stands strong against the rain of blows, the relentless storm. She has weathered worse than this; not often, but often enough.
The wind around the ruined temple begins to pick up.
"To fight is to challenge yourself to become more! To fight is to pit all that you are against another!"
That wind picks up to crazy levels, whipping discarded wood up and around the area. It solidifies, becoming a bright and burning wave of white energy around the girl's sword.
And in a sudden blur of movement she is behind Intan, her bokken having carved a line through where she was and where she now is. If all goes according to plan, she will calmly stand, and exhale, letting all the pent up energy flow out of her.
"To fight is to live. To prove that you do not fear death."

Well. Intan was not afraid. She barely moved until the very last moment, when the Indonesian beauty struck the bokken to the side. "This is also true." She just answers Takako, and with a quick backflip she increased her distance once more. In the middle of that backflip she unhooked one of the ten weapons strapped to her legs and basically kicked it towards Takako. "I do not fear death, but I do fear boredom." She speaks as she lands yet again, "And if I take competetive fights too seriously, I will get bored."

Takako hmphs, swatting the weapon out of the air as it comes in for her. She's more annoyed with herself than anything; that move had been the culmination of everything she had left in her. To have it merely /batted aside/ is perhaps the most humiliating thing that has happened so far.
"Then you are an idiot."
Summoning up her strength again, Takako begins to walk towards Intan. She's running out of strength, but it is not in her nature to give up before she is really done. Sweat stands out in thick beads on the girl's forehead, and the air whips around her in a chaotic flurry. Tearing, ripping winds as she puts all she has into just trying to tear the girl down with her hatred.

Intan braces herself, and manages not to get the worst result of this. When it is over, she starts to circle around Takako again. "Am I the idiot for wanting some entertainment, or are you the bore for lacking the ability to grasp 'fun?'" She counters, and mocks. And then she attacks, a quick strike to Takako with her right Kris before moving away again. "Really, there's something to be said for having fun. You should try it some time."

Intan moves, but Takako moves with her. Once more just shrugging off the stab into her side. The girl grits her teeth, and simply throws herself into the offense.
The bokken comes around with surprising speed for a girl who is clearly on her last legs. The weapon swung through the air not once, but three times in rapid succession, aiming to catch Intan square and simply batter through any attempt to block it with overwhelming force.
"I'll have fun... when you... shut your... mouth!" She barks, that hot surge of anger pretty much all that is keeping her on her feet right now.

This time, Intan did feel exactly the full brunt of that assault. But that doesn't mean she's entirely spent yet. Another raging fury of strikes and stabs is headed for Takoko, and Intan seems to be working hard on taking Takoko down with her. She doesn't speak, she's just landing stab after stab after stab in the hope to make this fight a tie. She can waste breath again when the fight is over, because as her assault ends, she falls to her knees and appears to be out of the fight.

Well, Takako was pretty much running on fumes; it should come as no surprise that she is completely unable to defend herself from the last effort by Intan. She stands firm through the raging series of blows, and, after it it over, she sinks to her knees.
"Tch... idiot."
tAnd then she falls over, face-first into the dirt. One thing that has always worked well for Takako is that after such displays, she is very rarely conscious enough to care that she messed up at the end; at least for a few hours.
