Cammy - Munin's Mercenary Meeting

Description: Delta Red takes on a private military contractor. No, not Blackwater. Munin!

%Evening in Myanmar. Rangoon, to be specific. The afternoon rush has long passed, and workers are heading off for whatever it is they decide to do with their time. Some head for home, with their husbands/wives/children. Others, however, head to their OTHER jobs, which shall be addressed later. The rest?

The rest head for the local pub or bar, and decide to get drunk off their ass.

Suprisingly, among their numbers is a young, somewhat out-of-place looking woman. She nurses a non-alcoholic soda idly as she kills time, ignoring any stares that come her way. She's gotten used to it by now. A few more days here, and then it'll be off to the next place.

So far Munins had little luck with finding any lasting members of Shadaloos forces here. They've either been kicked out, or dug in deeper than she's bothered to go at this point.

She's more than happy to leave them there, too, at this point.

Cammy has discovered that most of her Delta Red compatriots are rather... rowdy. At least by her standards. Admittedly by her standards the average chess club is probably a bit rowdy. In any case she's here in the pub, at the edge of one table, with four other Delta Red commandoes (three guys and a girl) seated with her, mostly talking excitedly. The five of them, being uniformed in their fairly garish get up, stand out quite obviously.

The ex-doll herself though is looking rather bored, or at least impatient - a mostly untouched glass of the local moonshine at one elbow (apparently legal booze is not all that easy to obtain here). When she spies Munin slipping in though, her eyes widen a little in interest and recognition.

Munin does briefly spot Cammy and her compatriots, though gives it little thought. She knows the warrior is in the area on-mission, and as far as she knows Cammy and her group has every right to be here. She hasn't found anything of note to share anyway, so stays where she is at the bar.

Her soda finished, she hands it to the barkeep for a refill as she leans forwards on the bar counter. The man kinda stares at her, but does as she asks. Least her moneys good, what she has left of it.

Cammy is bored, not all that comfortable with her companions yet - one weird thing is that they apparently know her, from years ago, or heard of her at least, and that's just odd. And besides, she's got her eye on the ball as it were, thinking of why they are in this city in the first place.

It's not for the weather or the hospitality, at any rate.

So she gives the other commandoes a muttered excuse, and then heads for Munin. "Good afternoon." she says, all polite, as she leans back against the bar. Given the moonshine is still at the table she's not nearly as much of a drinker as the others.

She folds her arms, gives Munin a piercing look, and gets straight to business. "I thought maybe you'd like to know - that man you helped us bring in the other day has given us a few more good leads. So that act of yours might have done us some considerable good in this city.".

The piercing look is returned, though not in a hostile way. It's how Munin looks when she's paying attention. She likes straight to buisness. On heading the news, a nod is given "Glad i could help. I admit to having been looking for something else, but as long as it cleans things up a bit, i'm happy".

Her eyes do soften a bit at the news of it doing good, however not for long as the gears of her mind start working.

"Without it's leader, a certain group still running around will likely leave a large power vaccuum, and the crime rackets are bound to start trying to fill it in. This may only be a new beginning of past events". With things so tense, she isn't about to drop Shadaloos name in a place this public. Just in case.

She shakes her head, taking a drink of her soda "Hope i'm wrong".

"Quite. But not everything is about them, you know." Cammy tells Munin. "In fact they have nothing to do with the troubles here in Myanmar. A different group were responsible. We have already dealt with them, but as you say nature abhors a vacuum, so here we are, trying to help and rebuild.".

She reaches out to nudge at Munin's elbow, insistent. "Perhaps you would like to help some more?" she wonders aloud. "I'm sure you can do some more good, if you wanted. In fact I have two tasks now, one rather more personal than my original Myanmar mission, though I have the support of my CO in it. He is an understanding man.".

There's a pause as Munin tips her cup to take a drink. A single eyebrow raises in curiosity. She lowers the glass "Unusual for a CO, from what i've heard of the military. An interesting offer". She finishes whats left of her soda, and eyes Cammy with her full attention "I'm listening.....".

"He's a good man." Cammy insists, the doll having found another object for her loyalty it seems. Except in this case, he really is. "I noticed when Captain Guile was dealing with Adon, the Emperor of Muay Thai who has been active in Myanmar lately - that he has a number of women with him, who seem to be held against their will. I saw at least one of them being brutalised by him, too - he has a sadistic streak, it seemed to me. Nobody else seems to care about their fate, or they have all forgotten, but I have not, so I asked the Colonel if he would mind if I did something about it. He gave his assent. Perhaps you would be interested in helping out as well? I understand Adon has a number of Muay Thai students with him most of the time.".

A slight pause, and then she adds, "I still have my official UN business in Myanmar to deal with as well of course, I understand that the analyst boys will have the location of the man I seek soon. Then I - or we - can bring him in.".

Munin listens to Cammys thoughts, eyes narrowing almost to slits at mention of Adons choices of actions. "I've seen him fight in vids and other media. Brutal fighter in the ring. If he's willing to use that kind of ability against people who have never learned to fight....." her irises flash with purple light for a brief moment as her temper flares a bit ".... you don't need to ask me twice about helping. Sounds like he's no better than a certain red-clad madman recently defeated".

Munin nods as Cammy continues "I have no problem with helping with your UN buisness. Only thing i ask is enough pay or coverage to handle room and board in the meantime". She smirks "Don't worry. I eat light, and don't need room service".

"I believe that mercenaries in NATO service are often rewarded rather well." Cammy replies mildly. "So I'm sure that room and board will be no problem. Though of course if you're clearly not motivated by money but by some sort of higher purpose I'm sure that Colonel Wolfman will appreciate that, as I would.".

"And no, not much different. In fact Adon has connections with Shadaloo himself, so you may be closer to the mark than you realise. For all I know he might be looking to take over himself, though I think he would have rather stiff competition there. In any case, whether he's affiliated with Shadaloo or not, something needs to be done.".

"Ugh.... I'm not sure which is worse, Adon in charge, or some of the alternatives i've seen or heard about". Munin shakes her head "His reputation precedes him, though". There's a nod, followed by a slowly growing smile as Munins gears turn. "Actually, there IS something that would be useful, if you and your team don't mind. I'm curious to start training in unarmed combat. If possible, when you or some of your group be able to give me a bit of instruction? One day SOMEone will disarm me, and then i'll be in trouble".

Cammy looks a bit taken aback by that. "Well... maybe. I don't know. I'm very busy." she says a little doubtfully. "Perhaps. I'll ask around for you at least - and maybe Captain Guile would be interested, I think he's very focused on training. I was already present at one of his training sessions in fact, he's very good, and I think we have a good working relationship.".

Thinking about it for a moment, she eventually decides, "I think I would make a very bad instructor. I have a few, ehm, issues with such. Bad memory and suchlike.". She shrugs apologetically, thinking that aside from sparring she hasn't actually received any training at all that she can remember - and so wouldn't even know where to begin.

Munin nods with a smirk "I'll take any help i can get". Her expression then gets somewhat serious "When do you plan to go after the 'objective' individual? I can start researching what i can find on him right away, just need to know how much time i have. I know scant little about kickboxing aside from what i've seen in older replay matches".

"Adon? Whenever I find out where his lair is. I suspect it wouldn't be too hard, he is rather public, I think. If you give me some contact details, that would be helpful.". Cammy shakes her head slightly, and adds, "I think you would best be placed with my team. Adon is not alone, he has a number of Muay Thai students with him, as he is Emperor of their discipline after all. Judging from the ones I saw, they are dangerous in their own right, and capable of great cruelty. Hence my need for backup.".

A silent nod is Cammys response, the speed of thoughts racing through Munins head clear in her eyes, as tends to happen. She stands from her barstool after putting the cost of her small tab on the bar, which is quickly claimed by the bartender. "I'll check with what contacts i know in the area, and research what i can immediately".

She jots down a quick number on a piece of torn napkin, along with a few names "That's my cell number, and a few folks i haven't checked out yet. So far unfortunately i've found nothing useful, but hopefully that will change".

"Adon likes to brag, from what I've seen. So he needs an audience. He doesn't seem all that smart, either; we'll find him alright... and more importantly, find those slaves of his that he keeps around him." Cammy says confidently.

She reaches out to take the napkin, and tucks it into a red gauntlet carefully, her leotard having a distinct lack of pockets. "As for the Myanmar embezzlers, we'll get to the bottom of that soon as well. It's just a question of who first.".

"Thank you for your time and help, in any case." she finishes courteously. "I will be sure to contact you one way or another.".

"He wouldn't seem so. If he was smart he wouldn't be as blatent with some of his displays". A smirk filters into Munins expression "Though maybe his tastes will give us an element of suprise if the cards are played right......". Her eyes start to get that distant look of thought before she shakes her head clear. She looks back to Cammy and nods "A good cause, some income, and something to learn, all at once? Helping is my pleasure". A smirk, and she's gone, out the door and on the hunt!
