Description: Just after talking to Captain Guile, who is such a nice man, Cammy finds someone else loitering around the base who is far less pleasant...
Cammy heads away from none other than William Guile to continue her rounds. She's a bit curious about these French guys. It seems everybody here uses them as the butt of jokes, surely they can't be /that/ bad. So she heads over to that part of the base, not quite sure what she's expecting. Baguettes, mimes, white flags? If you believed half the soldier-talk that seems to be what she'd find. She's sure it's just camaraderie, but she's curious now, and curiosity killed the kitten.
It's a little bit away from the main camp, so she finds herself trekking across the grass to where they are camped, in an area still inside the perimeter and occasionally swept by a patrol, but largely empty of casual walkers. But hey, it's safe enough here. She trots along the path worn into the grass by a week or twos worth of combat boots tramping back and forth.
An intruder not too far off also takes note of one the strayed little lamb. A chortle escapes her lips when she catches sight and then verifies it is her quarry. She must have been very good in a former life all this sneaking around wasn't really to the SIN spiders tastes though there was a certain appeal here.
Folding her arms across her chest the starts wandering across the grass dragging her feet a little in that arrogant seeming saunter that marks her so far out of place if no more than her outfit. Her walking is slow but she's still positioning herself to block Cammys path onwards even if she isn't raising a big fuss about it. Deceptively bored looking and sanguine Juri is actually bubbling with excitement and can't quite contain herself when the blonde is even a little outside her optimum striking range.
"Oh, you're playing soldier now are you?"
Her eyes rove over the petite soldiers uniform and figure with a much too intimate examination and a faint smirk. Her head tilts to the side smile full of malice and spite despite the amusement. The long horns of hair atop her head bob and sway while she shifts stance and settles her fist on her hip, waist cocked.
"Cute outfit, who dressed you up in that one!?"
Cammy is just happily sauntering along in her own world. She has a lot to think about right now after all, all the worlds a wonder - and what can be more wondrous than someone as seemingly out of place as Juri showing up, right here in the middle of a camp. Truly, the former Doll felt her attire was inappropriate, but Juri is probably going to get chewed out by some general just for existing.
At least, so long as he was ignorant as to who she is. Otherwise it'd be probably be 'fire ze missiles!'.
"Erm. Do I know you?" she asks, not exactly friendly, but not exactly unfriendly either. "Oh. You know /me/?" she asks, blinking, and suddenly smiling. Maybe now is the time for answers! But that tone of Juri's doesn't exactly seem friendly. "Oh, the clothes.". She promptly blushes. "It's normal, apparently...". It'll also take some getting used to.
Juris face masks over with false concern; her ability to contain her outrageous surge of laughter is almost more than she can bear. Fingertips delicately press to her clavicle while expressing her horror in a gentle swoon. "Oh, you poor thing, you do seem so very out of place here don't you." She presses forward, closing the distance just a few steps.
"Did you- hit your head recently, amnesia perhaps. Oh this really is so ~~very~~ /very/ sad."
The corners of her lips turn upwards in a smile she can't fight off any longer but she can't help but love seeing the Doll like this, it would be maybe even too easy, she could reach out and just end her pain, her confusion. But Cammy didn't deserve that, not an easy death.
"It kind of suit you, you do play dress up so very well. It's positively ~cute.~"
And Juri still approaches; she hasn't yet even made up her mind. Sagat had been a pain in the ass to find, then having to drag his HUMOUNGOUS ass out of the Jungle had takne hours, Cammy was light and all but Shadaloo might not even want her back, this was all personal right now and amnesia was not a good enough reason for a clean slate in life.
Cammy backs away from the approaching Juri, who apparently seems to be insane, and remorselessly approaching. Oh, great! "So... uhm. Who are you, then?" she asks, a little weakly. "You seem to have me at something of a disadvantage.". Where's William Guile when you need him? She's sure he'd at least know what to do, he seemed like a man who exuded confidence and self awareness.
"And the clothes do suit me, I suppose..." she lies, wondering what the best way to deal with this nut is. Maybe humouring her might work? "Thank you?" she offers tentatively, with a slight frown, as she peers into Juri's face, trying to read her expression. Was that the right thing to say? Or not?
Juri drags her foot slowly and draws to a halt, the quarry was nervous and backing away. A turning point, either the girls instincts weren't completely shot or just how much fun this was had begun to show. Juri searches that that perfect and sculpted little face, the scar was the only thing Juri notes worth a damn of giving her any character at all, no fear or recognition so probably just a well hones survival instinct.
"Maybe you shouldn't trouble yourself so much about your old life; you could have been a really bad person and done things. Hurt people"
Her voice drips both honey and venom in equal quantities though it is easier to hide her expression by choosing to play it straight. Would this cute, fragile little Cammy really want to know and deal with a former life atop a heap of world famous assassins? The girl had had so many codenames and pseudonym's that she could maybe spent half the rest of her life piecing together her history.
"Me, I am Juri Han, an old... Acquaintance. We weren't friends by ANY means."
She expresses that part with such a relieved tremendous honesty, not only gladdened that they weren't friends but bragging about her own character in the achievement. She tucks her thumbs into her belt and stands up a little straighter squaring off while seemingly leaning in place.
"I liked your old clothes less. These are an improvement over those old outfits you used to wear! But there something I really have to ask, in case I never get the opportunity to ask you. You know, AGAIN."
Those last few gentle painstaking slow steps, close enough to reach out and touch if she can get that close without frightening the other woman away.
Cammy isn't that much of a shrinking violet, so she just stands there, hands on hips, as it looks like Juri is intent on reaching out for her. Though she isn't up for being touched, and will shy away at the last instant, perhaps being brushed, but nothing more. Thats just kinda creepy, really!
"I suppose. I didn't really think of that." she admits. "But, no offence, you don't exactly seem to be the most trustworthy sort so far, Juri Han.". The doll is clearly committing that name to memory - inasmuch as she has one at all. "Especially given you apparently don't like me very much! I'm not entirely sure that necessarily reflects badly on me to be honest.". Cammy shakes her head, deciding that whoever this nut is, she doesn't really like her that much. And seems to never have done. Clearly, her good judgment has come through her nuclear accident unscathed.
However, something Juri said does pique her interest. "What did my old clothes look like?". It can hardly be less decent than what she has on right now.
Juri's eyes narrow with the surge of amusement and a widening of the smile as is stonewalled again and throws her arms out wide in an apparent shrug.
"Sort of the same, but a little more formal, and the hat was pointier. Beyond that it may be that it covered your butt just a little more, and it wasn't quite so form fitting around your breasts or hips. The new you lives a little more daring."
Water off a ducks back, such minor observations when one was used to people screaming about her being a monster. She withdraws a little of her enthusiasm and visibly sets her feet making a show of her yawning and waning interest. If anything now her mood is turning sour just thinking about the Doll uniform and picturing Cammy in it, the urge to squash her like a bug increases a thousand fold.
"Reflects badly on YOU?"
Her left hand claps over her face as she throws her head back with a fit of shrill unhinged laughter. Her entire body bows backwards and seems to lose strength as her torso wavers and then folds forward the laughter diminishing slowly.
"That's too good! That's too Funny! .. which ties into my important question."
Her voice takes a turn becoming a lower register and almost a growl violet eyes still damp with tears of laughter gaze at Cammy with a predatory and diagnostic demeanour.
"IS this for real.. have you really lost you memory? Or did you just get tired of licking his boots? Are you just running away and waiting for someone to come get you and bring you home."
The ridicule her voice takes at the end is profound and heartfelt but the curiosity is there, Had she finally shown some backbone and run away or was she really THIS pathetic. The Taekwondoka smacks her at the prospect, she should just eat Cammy up right her and now and save any future headaches!
"Oh, thank you." Cammy replies drily at the comment about her prior clothes, though her heart sinks a little at apparently learning that she really did wear getup like this, all the time. Maybe she'll get used to it soon enough. And then... there's a rather long, uncomfortable silence from Cammy as Juri laughs like the maniac she is.
The doll even backs away a little. That really is quite unsettling... especially given her current delicate state. While Juri is busy, she thinks back on the day, and how a few hours ago she was worried about settling in with a bunch of soldiers. And now she's dealing with a pink clad maniac! She shoulda just stayed in bed.
"I have no idea what you are talking about." she finishes. "I worked here before, I am told, so I am home. Home enough for me! And speaking of home, I should go, I'm supposed to be doing something important after all.". She decides this conversation is best over, as goes to slips past Juri, and continue on her little patrol. At a brisk pace. Guards are up ahead, maybe Guile and Colonel Wolfman are around. She'll talk to them. They will know what to do, and what Juri is on about, if anything.
Rapture, Seldom do things tickle Juri Hans fancy to this point without the pleasure she derives from the kill or crushing an opponent; fickle momentary things gone in the throes of her violent passions. But this, this was absolute new experience. She didn't want to see Cammy die, not yet. Not without condensing all the suffering into her lifetime her own life had wrought. This was a precious gift.
"Aha HAHAHA. That, keep focusing on that!"
Juri cocks her head around to follow the doll and calls out after her Juri swaggers around and lifts her cupper hand to her mouth to call after the Doll.
"Do your best to become a HUGE GODDAMN HERO!"
Juri cannot contain herself anymore and that laughter carries. Dogs and soldiers are already responding to the commotion so sticking around would be unwise.
This game wouldn't be fun if Cammy didn't build a great magnificent 'home' on her foundations of blood soaked mud, waiting for Juri Han to come along and pluck out the keystone toppling it all to ruin.
This is like all those missed birthday and Christmas presents wrapped into one gooey feel good package. She cant help but stretch languorously and the rub at the tip of her nose. Thank you very Much Cammy White, You are the gift that keeps on giving!
