Terry - Spider Hunts Wolf

Description: Like many fighters, Juri seeks challenges--and challengers. Though not directly involved in Shadaloo's war... the battleground is an excellent place to find them... and she's heard that Terry Bogard, the Legendary Wolf, is in India... so maybe it's time to pay a visit...

India has been liberated. But this is war, not some fantasy game. Just because Shadaloo forces were repelled once doesn't mean that they're gonna take their toys and just go the hell away. No, if they're really Shadaloo, they'll strike again, and again. Persistence -is- one of Vega's virtues.

But this isn't why Terry hasn't left India yet, actually. He's been recuperating--even for a man of his talent, a fighter of his caliber, taking on a squadron of armed, trained soldiers -and- their armor is a tough thing to do. Besides, he's being hailed at the 'savior' of India... and though he's refused the gifts, the parties, he can't escape them. He's uncomfortable, but he also has that sense... that sense that something is going to happen. That the storm isn't over at all.

India was a different place since the its liberation, the brief period where troops from both The People's Republic of China and Shadaloo forces have overwhelmed the country. The lines may have been well pushed back but the people despite their celebration and relief still fall under the long shadow cast by the underground crime syndicate; more specifically The Shadaloo Intimidation Network, under their watch criminal activity is on an exponential rise in the city and theft and supply is proving both hampering for any military resupply and lucrative for the SIN.

"We've been at this awhile now, and I'm beginning to lose patience. If You aren't going to give me something fun to do - I'll have to find some way to ~entertain myself~"

Her voice a rasp of a honeyed file in the ear of the person the Korean woman was speaking too over the cell. The bright light of the screen illuminated half of her face only in the darkness though she is leaning back kicking her heel in the air and fighting down the urge to laugh at the buzzing and muted response; her sharp exhalation of joy and reprieve is a sudden exclaimation point.

"Oh, you have my interest again, tell me! tell me! Where?"

Eyes flash and she crooks her leg drawing it to her and sitting in what looks like an uncomfortable position she lounges forward wrapping her free arm around that leg to support herself, a languid and fluid movement contrary to the delight on her face or the slowly spreading and predatory smile she unconsciously wears.

"Uwa-Heh-ha! You should have shared this news earlier; I would have had something to look forward to."

Terry Bogard had become something of a hero after his heroics had won the day and helped drive Shadaloo, if in body but not spirit. The reclusive fighter had even tried staying out of the limelight making it difficult to locate him, unless SIN had been sitting on this morsel until Juri's patience finally wore thin. But never they mind, now they dangled this morsel in front of her. The phone sits on the crate Juri had been lounging atop, still folded open and the call connected while a tinny voice asks if she is still there in an annoyed tone.

Despite the celebration, the opposition forces are not stupid. They have patrols mounted, groups of soldiers who move in trained, well-rehearsed units, armed with... well, to be honest, weapons of the last war, mostly. Venerable weapons--M-16s, AK-47s, a mishmash of 'whatever they could find'. Deadly weapons. But, as some are about to find out to their detriment...

... guns just aren't much good against the Shadaloo elites. It's as true for the defending forces as it was for the Shadaloo grunts. The most disciplined units find Juri first, and they act as they are trained to act. They bring their guns up, aim, and warn. But... it's already too late, at that point. Four-man units don't mean much, not against a fighter like Juri, and the panicked, strangled radio calls only ensure that -more- victims come.

It isn't as though a critical mass of death is needed to bring Terry around. He just won't get there in anything he considers 'on time'--certainly not enough time to save those brave souls who tried to shoot the Tae Kwon Do Psycho. And, after all, isn't it Terry that she wants?

Such a disappointing sign of the times! A scandalously dressed woman alone greeted with raised weapons and suspicion. There is a great sense of irony in this that it really is what they should have done when confronted with such a monster in a compact and sensual little package. Instead, it serves to annoy Juri with all this blather and routine which she has frankly had enough of.

-Stop there-, -hands up now-. Always it plays out the same way with a lot of yelling commands which she obviously isn't obeying and some hesitation and wonderment if maybe she understands, then the chatter of gunfire and intermittent screaming. Juri suddenly stamps her foot down hard onto the back of one of the fallen soldiers, the man jerks and begins to feebly struggle under the pressure of the foot on the back of his facedown head but Juri is already swinging her head back and forth surveying the scene and scoffing at all the garbage tossed aside.

"HOI, if you are here how long are you going to keep me waiting!? I came here looking for some fun."

Her almond shaped eyes shift and settle on two newly arrived soldiers and deliberately removes her foot from the fallen soldiers head long enough to kick the unfortunate man into his fellows.

"You aren't going to stand me up are you? TERRY BOGARD."

Her voice betrays her annoyance, However that she knows that the famous Bogard is here she appears to be willing to take the entire place apart to find him. The foreign woman causing quite the ruckus and a lot of people are getting hurt without even making an impact on her let alone subduing her.

Stand you up? Never. Terry comes alone, as befits his moniker, walking out from the walls of the capital. "Stand down! Back away!!" come the orders, not to Terry, but to the surviving men. Terry is normally jovial, normally good-natured, but when he stalks out... he has the look in his blue eyes. Anger. But not unfocused anger. Anger burning in his eyes, being forged into a weapon. To be used with precision and power. He's done it before. He'll do it again.

"Yeah," he says, raising his voice. "I'm here. You hurt these people... just so I'd fight you?" He shakes his head... he almost seems sad... but no less game for the fight, tugging his famous, favorite gloves on. In lieu of his burned-off clothing from the last fight, he's wearing a new pair of jeans, a simple white tee, and a tan leather bomber jacket, and sturdy boots.

"Fine. You want to fight? I'll show you what fighting -really- is," he snarls, as he shifts from standing to running with nearly no appreciable transition, closing the distance between Juri and himself with several steps and a low leap that has his right knee hammering for her chin.

"And after I've beaten you, you can take a message back to your master!!"

A squeal of delight turns into a flood of shrieking laughter. The Korean woman draws herself up and contently allows the nearby men to drag themselves away or clamour back to their feet and help their fellows. She has eyes only for the man in the the plain white tee and jeans; her tongue toys across her lips as she wets them before replying.

"AH Ha HAH, I'd have come right away, but you made yourself so hard to find."

The soft cooing and reproach is matched by the gentle sway of her hips as she takes a slow and deliberate pace walking forward looking completely at ease despite the fact troops are flanking around behind her ringing the two fighters in a large arena. Juri positively blossoms under all this attention being paid to her. As the powerful blonde fighter rushes Her Juri seems to uncoil and open her stance but rather than evading the blow rocks her head and body backward, it arches backwards with her feet still on the ground but her head near touching the groud, a foot has to slide back to allow her to maintain this stance but she does so easily.

"Don't be in such a rush to finish, take your time and ENJOY THE RIDE!"

Her arms windmill around in a flurry of activity and the Korean woman explodes into a pinwheel of psycho powered energy and whirling legs.

"You psychos. Always the same." That anger's still there, still controlled, but building--every time he sees a ruined soldier, a destroyed volunteer, someone who won't be going home to their kids, their wife, who won't be able to provide as well in the future. The stance is unmistakable--Tae Kwon Do. How Kim would be angry to see his prized martial art used like this. But that whirlwind of kicks is new; Terry backs away as Juri advances, intercepting the impacts on his forearms, ignoring the stings of pain from the dull impacts.

"This isn't a show... if this were a show--if you'd challenged me on Saturday Night Fights or through Masters' Neo League... maybe I'd enjoy this. Enjoy the fight. But I'm not gonna enjoy it," he says, waiting for the last spin before taking a long step forward, reaching out to grab Juri by the shoulder, with his left hand--to hold her in place for a punihsing uppercut to the jaw.

"I'll just enjoy -taking you apart-!!" he thunders, giving that anger full voice for a moment, his blue eyes nearly blazing with it. And he is a dangerous man, when riled. Ask Geese Howard, or Krauser. They know.

COMBATSYS: Terry successfully hits Juri with Grasping Upper.
Glancing Blow

Terry            0/-------/---====|====---\-------\0             Juri

The slashing whirl of her legs and the explosion of her psycho power against Terry's guard is a faint but lingering disappointment yet it is only the beginning of her dance with the man and this first movement had not proven any kind of flaw in the man himself. Maybe he would be a worthy match but right now, Juri Just needs to relieve some stress, all this workaday mundane bullshit and staying low profile. Nonstop pressure, she just keeps coming! Terry's hand closes over her shoulder holding her in place for the follow through. The rising blow clips her chin as the Korean woman lifts into the air and slowly flips backwards, her legs folding down atop her torso as she lies on her back. A cheer erupts from the soldiers; maybe it's all over in an anti-climactic moment. But the fall backwards was controlled, no fooling a trained eye and swinging those legs back up Juri generates enough momentum to flip back to her feet.

"Ah~hahha, You're really fun! But you preach to much for a man with a whole lot of blood on his hands. I came here to~play~ - not for a SERMON."

There is a movement of something in her left eye, something unnatural and the faint purple light and mechanical whine that begins building in pitch. Juri redoubles her attack laughing the whole time and moving at an a progressively faster pace.

COMBATSYS: Terry blocks Juri's Kick Combo.

Gritted teeth. Terry knows that the way he clipped her chin wouldn't put her out. And she's shown some real skill already. Shadaloo isn't in the habid of fielding -weak- warriors... just stupid, ruthless, psychotic ones. That thing in her eye... whatever that was, that high-pitched tone is setting him on edge, and while that can't be the primary purpose of it, it is a side effect that might prove to be to Juri's advantage in the long run. The speedy kicks remind him of Kim again--and he has reason to thank the number of times he's faced the man, as he reads those kicks...

... but also stands tall, deflecting them away, defiantly ignoring the bruises starting to form as he takes the repeated impacts. "Fine," he grates, after the last kick, "you want to play? Let's pull out some toys." With a quick backstep he disengages from melee range; as he lands, he's landing in a crouch, his right hand drawn back, and he punches it into the ground with a shout of "POWER WAVE!!!"

The result is neatly and easily seen--a thigh-high, hissing wave of yellow-white chi that carves a dusty path along the ground towards Juri's legs. It isn't that he's going to try to take her weapons away from her, though it's not a bad idea, it's just that... well.. it's the only way he knows how to throw a projectile.

COMBATSYS: Juri overcomes Power Wave from Terry with EX Fuhajin.

The wave of chi power washing down on the brightly smiling Korean woman serves to highly illuminate her features, bright and brighter with the oncoming wave as her hops backwards. The mechanical whine finally reaches a crescendo and the soft dull glow brightens up a piercing point of violet purple almost visible through the wave of energy and Juri stands there uncaring, closed fist resting on the bare swell of her hip and waist and body cocked the other way in an appraisal of the size and speed of what immediately threatens to consume her; the mute shock and collective terror that suddenly passes through the soldiers as an uncontained flare of her own violet energies is swung to meet the power wave and matches it pound for pound. Upward scything leg wreathed in a corrosive cloud of energy matched Terry's Power wave but her momentum carries through as she rolls around and swings our with the other leg hurling the remainder of her own energy back at Mr Bogard.

"Not too bad. But try one of mine!!"

COMBATSYS: Terry dodges Juri's EX Fuhajin.

Hnh. Well, he can't say he -expected- that... but as it so happens he's already -prepared- for it. Already crouched, he pushes off, leaping over the crescent of Psycho Power, performing a neat tuck and roll over it, though he just barely clears it--certainly wouldn't've made it without the tuck. "I've tried that stuff before... didn't like it," he remarks, as he comes out of the tuck and uses some of that rolling momentum to slow himself, altering the angle at which he's dropping--

--and attempting, incidentally, to just hammer Juri into the ground with a dropping, smashing right fist, gloved hand tightened into a flat-knuckled wrecking ball of destruction--almost as if he were attempting to cave the top of her head in. Likely she'll be able to avoid it--she seems the speedy type--but it could be a decisive strike.

COMBATSYS: Terry successfully hits Juri with Strong Punch.

Terry moves pretty well for a fairly bulky guy, some fighters move that that subtle grace and able to capitalize and some don't Juri. Can follow all of his moves and the retinal display viewed through her left eye is gorging itself on his Data. Height, weight, muscle density as well as measuring speed, and power of his blows. She tries to pay it little mind as it detracts from the thrill of battle to have the match constantly being fed to her but occasionally those numbers do manage to surprise. Terry comes in, hard and fast and Juri shifts her body to leap aside, a simple movement a thousand of a thousand times easily with in her power and experience but as she steps aside her foot and ankle turn, A magazine from one of those soldiers assault rifles, She starts to shift to try and recover her balance but its too late.

"Damn-You!"

The crashing blow and Terry Bogard drop out of the air onto the Korean woman like a bomb driving her into the ground where she lies still, her face screwed up with pain and fist still buried in her cheek. The strong metallic taste of her own blood in her mouth and ringing in her ears."

COMBATSYS: Juri focuses on her next action.

The more fanciful may in fact hear the boom of a nuclear explosion when Terry's fist impacts Juri's noggin. For sure, dropping the woman like that brings a big cheer from the watching soldiers. If Terry survives the war, he'll never have to pay for a meal or a drink in India again. That isn't foremost on his mind, though, as he impacts Juri's head. Even now--even in war--he can't bring himself to strike a downed enemy... and so he backs away a few steps.

But if he's not attacking, he has to do -something-, and he knows what to do. Calling up power from the earth is one of the first things Master Tung taught him, and its that skill that he utilizes now. Energy whips up around his feet, a roiling, swirling circle of golden light marking it as much as the circular breeze which catches his long, blond hair.

And of course, typically, he's making that low, practically breathed-out focusing sound, the ubiquitous "Hooooooooooooah...."

COMBATSYS: Terry gathers his will.

Like the building yell from Terry Bodard the Korean Taekwondoka and SIN Spider is also rising, a stooped standing over posture that haltingly makes its way to her feet, arms hanging form her shoulders and face lost to shadow but for the bright purple flare of light. Until the woman suddenly straights, there is a -crik-noise from her neck as she rolls it and she raises both arms overhead in an elaborate and elastic stretch; the hypnotic roll of her body and joints. A satisfied grunt that she has worked out all the kinks and Juri Han turns her attention back to the Mighty Bogard. It's no laughing matter that she can feel that injury and weakness still but the adrenaline is finally starting to flow!

"That's it, raise the stakes more and more! That's what makes this fun."

The answering call form the Feng Shui engine in her eye spins up to match the power building within her opponent, more and More and MORE! It's been too long since she got to fight against a real fighter that even those wounded blows were like honeyed words and stolen kisses.

&t"Lets fight on until we burn each other out!"

She explodes off the mark, her violet energy leaking from her very pores but as she lunges straight forth, but ready so slip sideways and come in under his ribs with a back fisted and explosive blow of pure energy delivered to his torso.

Terry reviews what he knows about Juri--not much. He'd heard whispers, of course--rumors of a psi-using, psychotic Tae Kwon Do fighter... skilled, powerful, and inhumanly capable at destroying things. What he hasn't heard, well, he's seen--the evidence lies all around him, in broken and shattered bodies. She seems worked up, though, and Terry's experience with fighting people who are already unbalanced could help him here... when you're just on the edge of control, it's that much easier to be led into making mistakes.

But with Juri bearing down on him, utilizing her Psycho Power to try and hurt him with the pure force of her mind--driven by that crazed gleam in her eye (literally)--he resists with the power of his mind, honed in countless battles and training, hardened by the experiences he's accumulated. The energy still hurts, but he resists much of it, staggering only slightly. His lips curl into a mirthless, yet somehow amused grin. The baring of teeth, like a wolf. It's more of a snarl than a grin, actually. "You want to burn out... then I'll gladly help you on your way...!" With her so close, there's little time for a fancy manuever, or so it might seem. As he rocks slightly backwards, he attempts to set Juri up--a quick left jab aimed at her chin, impact meant to stun and set up for the right straight that he's going to throw--a right punch flaring with golden chi, a punch so hard and fast that it'll literally have him flying forward. The opening is just too good. "BURN KNUCKLE!!!"

COMBATSYS: Terry successfully hits Juri with Burn Knuckle.

Juri can feel it, her power burns into Terry despite his best guards, Her fist filled with Psycho energy that mauls at bare yet hardened flesh. Juris eyes lighten, the lower lid crinkling up as her smile spreads. She is having fun and enjoying every moment of this battle, so long chaffing against a leash that even cutting lose just to feel her own power let lose.

"You should see the look on your face! So -~serious~ it's funny!"

Her head lolls away with the impact of the jab, small flecks of her own saliva hang in the air and her head is turned away but the violet coloured eye tracks and follows Terry's face as the he rears back and smashes powers through SIN spider. Driven back through the air trailing threads of flame as well as matching mark to the other side of her face Juri surprises by rolling back in the air and as her fingertips drag along the ground flashing past below her she slows her flight and trajectory and gently scythes her legs down one at a time rolling to her feet. He's so good and strong, maybe the best she has had in a long time even if he isn't really her type.

"if you aren't going to have fun you might as well lay down and play dead. Even if you win that man will just come back even stronger, and that pisses me off! You're making things harder on me. Uahh, but maybe you're just too dumb to actually work things out."

There is a plaintive note in her voice to start but it rapidly sours as her thoughts turn to Vega. That's.. right, Terry here even thought Vega was her master. Laughable! Juri runs back in, the tattering edges of her outfit and the loosening ties in her hair give her a dishevelled appearance but her grin is bright as ever even if her mood seems to have darkened after reminding herself of her presence in Vegas shadow. The Korean hips into the air at high speed and Spins to smash her heel at the Hero of India.

"I may not be havin' fun... but I'm -enjoying- parts of this fight..." Namely, the fact that he got to punch Juri's head into the ground. That was satisfying in a very visceral, basic manner. He sees the emotions flicker across her face, unrestrained and unfiltered, and then she's putting that excellent speed to use, the hopping, spinning heel kick finding its mark and smashing right into Terry's head. Sure, it's painful, searingly so, like a flashbomb set off right at the top of his head...

... and the physical reaction forces Terry to one knee, because a strike that strong has to do that at -least-...

... but he seems to have been waiting for it. Or he was just ready for it. Juri might not notice--but she might--that as he goes down to his knee, well, his right fist is glowing with that now-familiar golden power, and he looks up--blood trickling from his hairline down his forehead, following the contour of his nose, "... time to end this thing... this is what you can tell your master Vega... India is -free-! And I'm not going to let Shadaloo run rampant over this or any other country that I can help!! And as for you..."

"GO BANG!!" The words might seem an oddity, a strange thing to say, but if his timing is right? Then Juri's world will indeed go 'bang', as he slams the fist into the ground and unleashes a forward-tilted geyser of chi to engulf her, the sound it makes halfway between the snarl of a lion and the explosion of a bomb.

COMBATSYS: Juri blocks Terry's Power Geyser.

The world inside the explosion of chi is a sea of burning and pain, fragments of the heavy leggings lift and tear away only to be immolated in the storm. The closer the cloth is to her bare skin the better it seems to fare though the tortured expression on her face and gritted teeth that is hard won. Her upraised arms curl around to shelter the vulnerable trunk and vital organs of her body with her the more expendable limbs; Juri in the past had been known to fight to little handicap with one or both arms bound, If she can- Just... Weather.

Her feet slide backwards and dig in but that just doesn't suit her mood today, The sound of her own howl within the power geyser continues to grow stronger in force even as the funnel of chi begins to diminish. Crouched over with her hands trembling form both fatigue and excitement Juri is close to her physical limits but the power from the Feng Shui Engine just keeps refilling her body, she could fight on until she was reduced to mince and a bad attitude!

"Funs over!! This is the end for you!"

The façade of enjoyment slips revealing a little more of the monster underneath, She wants to see him break, see him beg! She longs for it, hungers for it, -needs- it. Her tongue darts across her lips and the explosion of purple is like none before it, she vanishes only to reappear at Terrys feet in a crouch like she had decided not to bother with the intervening space, Violet light trails from her legs and she corkscrews into the air trying to catch him in the vicious tornado and follow through.

In a flash--a flash of purple--Juri is right in front of Terry. Her desire? To sweep his legs out from underneath him--to employ a powerful torsion and Psycho Power to batter Terry down. But as she appears? Terry smiles. It's that cocky, knowing, expectant smile. That infuriating, 'I expected that' smile. And as Juri goes for that spin...

Terry is winding up, too. Sure, he gets battered by those powerful legs, by that Psycho Power, but he's giving as good as he gets. His defiant shout is lost amidst the tornado sound; from outside, it's impossible to see what's going on in the air, the swirls of purple energy hiding the outcome as the two attack each other.

From the ground, both fighters suddenly separate... both falling. Will Juri land on her feet? Terry doesn't know that. But he knows that -he-, at least, will pull out of that fall, just in time, flipping backwards, landing on both feet and one gloved hand, splayed out, most of his horizontal momentum bled off in a dustcloud-raising skid...

... and he rises, bruised and beaten but confident, defiant, walking towards where Juri landed. Ready to deliver the final blow, if necessary. If she doesn't give up.

Hitting the ground in a tangle of limbs and threadlike tendrils of ling black hair Juri Han rolls to a stop with a lazy sudden clump, there is a ragdoll like motion to her fall, the lights turned out for a moment and the uproarious cheering of soldiers waving their rifles aloft and calling terry's name. A fantastic street fight with a deep personal connection to each and every man. Mporale would be high and tales told of this.

Delicate brows lifts and stir and the Korean woman moans and shifts, sitting up and reaching to rub her aching head. The long heavy Weight of her hair falling across her body and sudden realization she is looking up at terry Bogard help her to deduce the the flow of the last moments of the fight. Tch, enough to think she was losing her touch. Juri starts to rise but suddenly slows in doing so, encountering sudden sharp and dangerous pains in her body, limbs and flesh unwilling to move as directed.

The cheering stops and starts turning nasty as men call for vengeance, beat her up, no- kill her. Capture and torture her. The crowd turns ugly and in that moment the spider grins mockingly. Win or lose, no matter the side. Humanity is a dark disgusting and horrible thing not worth protecting. The innocent are just the targets for as long as the fight exists!

SIN wouldn't be too happy about Juri going off on her own and even less at one of their premiere agents falling in so public a manner as to even increase enemy morale but they need not worry. Fists on hip and long hair falling like Juri Han could channel the spirit of Sadako she is no less intimidating than when this fight began, only one man here would not be cowed enough to stand up to her, or try to crush her underfoot.

"I had a lot of fun, but… don't expect me to go so easy on you next time."

The line sounds like a good joke and one she herself finds amusing though if anything she is far more serious and wary than she has been at any other time. Hurt as she is escape would be difficult, but bluff and an attitude can get you far. She had lost, everyone knew that, but what reserves she had left were completely unknown.

The single baleful point of light from her face refills her with power and vitality by the second, her wounds hurt less, bruises fade and cracked bones mend.

"Or do you think you are man enough to kill or tame me?"

The last chortles is enough to cause a series of pained chuckles, it hurts to laugh. But the fight was worth it, she is both invigorated and sated, more than a little curious about the Mighty Terry Bogard and despite appearances already planning her escape.

Terry doesn't kill. He's tried, but ultimately, he failed to kill Geese. Those blue eyes of his burn with restrained anger. Juri can play it off all she likes--but she and Terry know who the winner was. He'll let her save face. He even turns his back on her.

"Get out. If you think to come back? Bring a bigger army. You'll need it." And once again, the Hero of India walks back into the capital, knowing that, at least for now, Juri is beaten--that the SIN operative will walk away from this one... but so will India. He regrets only that he wasn't able to save the men that attacked her.
