Description: The Hibiki Dojo is revisited after her SNF match a few days earlier. The spartan dojo is less a surprises than the person she finds cleaning up. Did she come back for revenge? An old fashioned Challenge to the school? On second thoughts perhaps not, that sign isn't even very nice.
Back in this place already, even after being soundly thrashed here not more than a day or two ago.
Munin eyes the interior of the Hibiki Dojo scornfully. She always makes it a point to return to places she's been assigned to fight, win or lose, to take more careful note of them in case she ever must fight there again. Things in the environment that could be used, be they weakened floors/walls/ceilings, objects present that may always be around, windows, and so on. This sparks her bitter memory, and she glares at the sign on the table, which so effectively failed her when she utilized it.
Seeing the place in the daylight, however, she shakes her head. Whoever designed this place needs their eyes checked.
The dojo could never really be considered a comfortable living environment which may be one of the reasons Hibiki-san 'chose' to travel so often. Right now the place stands wide open, doors and windows. The interiors removed for the SNF fight even of a few days ago are one more in their proper place and yet the dojo is very spartan. Minimalistic!
Having given the main dojo room a little extra attention today the sole occupant of the dojo is finishing up, not a heavy training session but a lengthy cleaning session and a wrestling a couple of garbage bags into submission as she carefully carries them towards the front of the dojo. A secret stash of garbage, it was like Hibiki-san snuck back occasionally just o make more mess the way she keeps finding it, and it was not completely impossible that that was actually what was happening.
It doesn't take Sakura too long to note the new arrival even if it was surprising, People who came to the Hibiki dojo of late were usually waving bills and asking where Mr Hibiki could be found or contacted.
"I'm sorry, Hibiki-san isn't in right now"
The load in her arms shifts and she totters while keeping the blance without batting an eye.
"Can I help you?"
Deep violet eyes shift quickly to Sakura, quickly looking her up and down. She then takes note of the load Sakura carries, and smirks a little. "That's allright. I'm not here looking for him. Simply looking around before heading off again". She looks around the room again "I wanted to see the place when it was fully lit, for future reference".
An single eyebrow is raised as she looks back, a spark of amusement in her gaze "Do you need help with that, Ms.Kasugano?".
Sakuras expression turns quizzical at the usage of her name, a brief questioning tilt to her head before reassuring brightly. "It's fine, this is the last load anyhow."
Last load? Just how much had there been. The plastics bags in her arms are tall enough that were she not leaning to the side and looking around them she wouldn't even have been able to see.
Walking carefully , deliberate steps and looking up to manage the pile she manoeuvres it and herself outside the door and lumps the entire pile into bin, where it sits plainly on top of its contents without sinking into or filling at all.
Wiping at her borw with the back of her hand Sakura glares at the garbage before hurring back inside.
"I'm sorry that took so long. You were one of the fighters fighting here?"
AA few beats behind the Japanese school seems more the enthusiastic fight fan rather than a fighter itself as she stands in close proximity to Munin likewise surveying the same dojo.
"That must have been a tough match! Oh, uhh. Can I get you anything?"
Awkwardly wondering if there was anything left in the dojo to actually offer but it just kind of slipped out.
Munin shrugs "If it isn't imposing. Just water would be fine, thanks. My apologies for letting myself in".
She nods "Yea, i really didn't do all that well. Part of it was the lack of much lighting, part of it was skillful use of distraction by a blind opponent". She snickers "The sign on the table is defective, by the way. It failed in it's use as a projectile".
An appraising glances is then given "Dare i ask what a fighter of your rep and calibur is doing here, of all places? Would have thought you would be training somewhere a bit more.... " she stops to think for a moment, as if looking for the right word ".... 'colorfully coordinated'?".
Sakura turns to look at the sign as indicated, it had been used as a projectile? Hibiki-san would probably weep if he heard that, calling it disrespectful and worthy of being punished, possibly by her. Sakura waves here hands back and forth placatingly.
"I'm sure that's alright since that's not what it is there for."
The response is cheery and amicable, Sakura considers the merits of using the sign as a weapon as a sign of resourcefulness and adapting in a fight but it was also someone elses property.
Awkward silence draws out as while Sakura considers what she could possibly say here, she does fight under the Saikyo banner on the odd occasion and she counts Hibiki-san as a good person and friend.. she doesn't want to be considered legally liable for anything!
'Truthfully I never really considered it. Hikiki-san needs a lot of help around the dojo and he helps me train. He's pretty well connected! (is he really?) and he gets news about upcoming events surprisingly fast (rumours)"
The insults to the dojo roll right off her back, while they might drive Dan into a near comatose state with the repeated critical and indisputably accurate hits.
Another spark of humor enters her tone, and those eyes are clearly up to no good for a moment as she says "You could call it a 'bad sign'?".
She then nods "Makes sense, i guess. If he needs so much help, though, why is he not here helping you get things done?". She has heard the rumors about him, and while she doesn't believe he is really THAT well connected, the idea that he has enough contacts to get news fast is very likely.
She is much more inclined to believe the rumors now having seen his dojo firsthand.
The pun goes largely unrecognized, Sakura does half nod along with the made comment more for politeness sake than her agreement is wasn't well made. She still hasn't caught the other womans name though they so clearly know hers. She had missed that particular SNF night as well, playing 'just one more' game against her brother for most of the night determined to win just once.
"He wrote he was going on a training journey"
Nowhere close to a responsible adult thing to do but it was actually less work around here with the dojo empty. Cleaning was faster and she didn't take the extra time to cook a decent meal. Sakura doesn't appear much moved or believing of the 'training journey' note either, she had a small sheaf of them in her room and they all read near identically.
"But this is kind of lucky bumping into you!"
Open and easy smile as Sakura explains her one of her hobbies "There's a website where they put together lots of files on fighters news for people about upcoming events and things they might be doing. And I know theres no information on your page yet."
Because she had nothing to put up on it.
Munin gives a curious look, gears obviously turning. There is also a small note of reservation on her part.
"A page, you say? Who runs it, and what is the URL? Next time i pass near an internet cafe, i'll have to give it a looksee. Is information upon it placed by the fighter themselves?". She is good at picking up information from books, news, and people. The internet? She's competant with it, but isn't a dedicated user of it due to living on the move most of the time. She silently thinks to herself (The less on me, the better.... for now, at least)
Cheeks colouring a little Sakura goes right along with the deflection "Oh! Oh, of course, uhm let's see. It was FighterNexus/profiles. There are regional sites as well as the main .com site but we're pretty good at sharing information. Some of the regions stay up to date on fights and fighters in their area and update faster."
As one of the founding members based on her own private forums and interactions with fans and people who wanted to get started in streetfighting or just to learn more. Embarrassed that she had put the woman on the spot Sakura just natters on about the merits of the site and how many fighters at least chose what information was freely given and shared.
"It's a collaboration with a lot of people! but they only post what is okayed to share.. Like Ken wanted it rather prominently displayed that he was married on his profile along with a picture with his family."
That was quite truthful, she hadn't inquire too much into exactly why he might want that but she could maybe guess and was only too happy to forward the request.
Munin instantly notices Sakuras discomfort, and smiles with a shrug, to try to put her back on her feet, as it were "Ok! I'll make sure give it some time later. Doubt anyone would be too interested in me, though. Still really new this this kinda thing". She pulls out a small watch, and nods as she looks at it "I'd better go. Don't want to miss my train". She smiles at Sakura, eyes faintly glowing a moment as she starts to turn around "I look forward to our next encounter, Mrs.Kasugano".
With that, she turns and starts to walk off, giving a wave goodbye with one hand as she goes.
Displaying just a little of her disappointment Sakura responds by blinking and thinking about the time herself. Long past time she could have gotten home to help with dinner and instead would probably get home just in time for the meal.
"Right, it was a pleasure to meet yo-."
Frozen for just a moment after looking the other fighter dead in the eyes while they glowed as she turned away. Sakura offers a formal little bow, hands clasped in front of her as Munin heads for the door. The other had some nice manners and was polite even if she wasn't used to an environment like this, but she still wasn't anywhere near as bad as Karin was and Sakura considered the blonde a good friend and rival.
"When we do, I'll give it my best!"
An earnest declaration, Sakura would fight Munin and win or lose she expected neither would carry a grudge. It would be fun and they would know each other much better after exchanging blows with their fists, the truest way to really know someone.
