Description: It's another Neo League battle, between the Kyokugen phenomenon known as Yuri Sakazaki, and the sword wielding Munin Arhse. Will weapons triumph here, or will might make right? (WINNER: Yuri)
Violet eyes observe the White arena, as memories of her last match come to mine. El Fuerte did a number on her and her partner, and quite painfully at that. (Maybe this time i'll do better. Won't know til i try, though!).
She steps inside, calmly drawing her weapons, though standing in a relaxed, unaggressive stance, waiting for her opponent. Her spar with Takako was a nice wake up call that her technique needs serious work. The more matches she can get into, the better.
Meanwhile, a spunky young girl, no more than sixteen or seventeen, arrives in the arena. Unlike the other fighter, Yuri is quite cheerful and optimistic as she waves to her fans. A big grin is on her face as she literally prances into the center of the arena. "Helllloooooooooooo everybooooooooody!" Yuri calls out.
Yuri then notices Munin and her swords. At first, Yuri's a little uncertain, but then she looks at Munin and grins. "Are those your personal toys? Because we're gonna have a lot of fun here today! Oh yes we are!" Yuri assumes her fighting stance, bouncing on her heels as her 'trademark' while she prepares to fight.

Munin gives Yuri a sideways glance, uncertain if she's being mocked, or if Yuri really is just naturally that perky. Judging by the cheers and whistles, even a few leers, from the crowd, it must be expected, she assumes.
Her eyes narrow as she smirks at the young lass, assuming a defensive posture "You COULD call them that. Though i'm not sure anyone'll be calling this 'fun' by fights end". She does her best to quickly size Yuri up (Light and fast, more than likely. Have to stay on my toes).

"Fighting can be very fun if you know how to think of it!" Yuri says with a grin. "It'll be a lot of fun for all of us! We're gonna have a great fight, so let's get this on!" With that, the official just so happens to signal the beginning of the match. Almost immediately, Yuri advances on Munin, still bouncing a little as she does so.
"Get ready, cause here I come!" Yuri says as she brings her arm around and then sends forth a small blast of energy at Munin.

The projectile comes faster than anticipated! Munin is about to dodge when it catches her dead on as she hesitates a second too long. While it hurts, she is by no means concerned so quickly.
Her blades glow with dark purple chi as she retorts "Two can play THAT game!". She swings one, sending a shadowy violet arc at Yuri.

The purple chi hits Yuri as she tries to get down, striking her loosely in the arm. Yuri lets out a small 'ow' as she feels the weird sensation strike her. She shakes it off and nods to Munin. "That's how we do it, that's right!"
Yuri says nothing else, instead attempting to grab Munin by the shoulders and flip her over her shoulder.

There seems to be no end to the suprises for poor Munin. One moment, she's throwing projectiles from range, the next, the small girl is beside her, the next, she herself is hitting the ground, with almost no time in between! She lands on her neck, which hurts to all hell obviously, but luckily doesn't damage her spine. She has but a single thought: (O... Ow.....)
Standing, she glares, her eyes flashing with purple light as she swings rather forcefully from the ground, aiming for the side of Yuris knee!

Yuri gets a bit arrogant with her whole situation, and finds her legging getting a little cut as the blade slams into the side of her knee, causing her to drop onto her good knee while holding the bad knee. "Ouch!" She yelps, struggling to push herself back up as she tries to avoid putting weight on her injured knee.
"Looks like things are getting a bit more intense than I thought," Yuri comments with a wink. "But this is only the beginning! Let's see what else you can do?"
COMBATSYS: Yuri focuses on her next action.

Munin chuckles at the wink, the glow in her eyes brightening slowly. At least she got a solid hit this time. So far she's had little luck even doing that much! (There's her knee. Maybe that'll damage her agility enough to give me an advantage....)
She smirks "Well, for starters, THIS!". With that, her eyes flash brightly with dark purple chi, blindingly bright!

That flash is almost like an improvised flash grenade, since it pretty much causes her to become blinded for a moment. Not to mention, the pain actually gets into her head and causes a bit of disorientation for her. She covers her eyes as she squeezes them shut, trying to get the various spots out of her eyes.
"What was THAT?!" Yuri yells after a moment. Without waiting for an answer, Yuri attempts to deliver a sliding kick to take Munin off of her feet.
COMBATSYS: Munin endures Yuri's Light Kick.

As the light kick comes in, Munin moves in towards it, taking the full hit with a solid "Oof!", with a strained smirk still on her face as she successfully closes. Taking aim at Yuri, she swings both weapons in a solid arc simultaniously! (Got to keep this momentum going! I can win this!) she thinks to herself.
COMBATSYS: Yuri fails to interrupt Cross Slash from Munin with Saiha.

Yuri thinks that her personal shielding type attack, the Saiha, can protect her in a situation like this. But that turns out to be a faulty assumption on her part. Because those slashes strike home and knock Yuri to the ground. Her gi is partially ripped and a little blood is spilling. But even the feisty Yuri Sakazaki can't be kept down for long.
"Looks like I got ahead of myself," Yuri comments as she dusts herself off. "But that won't happen next time! Come on!" Yuri grins in spite of what just happened. Amazing.
Those narrow violet eyes seem to smile as Munin tilts her head at Yuris challenge. Then she shrugs, and says "Ok!", abruptly sening a snap kick at the young ladys face! She DID say she was getting ahead of herself, after all. Maybe this'll put her and her head back on the same playing field.
She does decide to have some fun with it, since Yuri seems to be doing so. She shouts "Boot to the head!".

It's not a good idea to announce your attacks out loud. Namely since you could cause your opponent to counter them in a big way. Yuri ducks down and razzes Munin quickly. "You missed me, but I'm not gonna miss you!" Yuri then launches into an attack not unlike the Dragon Punch, albeit done in the unique style of Yuri Sakazaki!

Unfortunately, Yuri is correct. As her leg comes back down, Munin has the bad luck to look down at Yuri just in time for the hit to come up to meet her face. A loud CRACK can be heard as the partially-healed cheek bone is recracked aaaaall over again!
Munin rocks back with the hit, and swerves a bit like she may fall over. She doesn't! After shaking her head to clear it, she looks up with a glare. Her eyes are solid glowing pinpricks of purple light, and she does NOT look happy "That.... HURT!" is all she can say, whether cause of pain or anger, who can say.

"Fighting is painful, but that's part of being a fighter!" Yuri says in a matter-of-fact tone of voice. "But if you can't take the pain, then why are you fighting?" Yuri asks with another raspberry, this time adding an eyeball when she does so.

A deep breath is drawn in, and let out, and her fury lessens visibly, although not the glow in her eyes. Must have been from the pain. She assumes a stance, and smirks once more "Care to try that again, missy?". (Hope this works....) Her cheek where Yuri hit has already become extremely swollen and an angry red in color, and one of her legs is shaking, but it doesn't seem to bother her.
COMBATSYS: Munin gains composure.

"Try that again? You're joking, right?" Yuri says. "I've got a lot more power than that! But I'm just going easy on you. And don't call me missy either!" Yuri frowns a little at the last part. "You don't know who you're talking to, do you? I am Yuri Sakazaki, mistress of Kyokugen Karate. The coolest style ever made!" And that's when Yuri grins again.
"So heeeere we go again!" Yuri runs at Munin and attempts to deliver a swift jab punch to show that Yuri is tough!

She just seems to be quite the punching bag, this one. The pain from her injury- excuse me, REinjury, is slowing her down, and as she tries to bring her weapons up to try to counter, she just isn't able to correctly predict or keep up with Yuris speed! The shot hits her again in the face, but on the OTHER side, doing little more than just hurting as jabs tend to do.
Munins eyes seem slightly glazed, the glow dimmer than before, though she isn't out yet! "Not... out... yet!". At least she's still coherant enough to say it!
"Ooh, close but no bananas!" Yuri says tauntingly as she connects with her punch. "You're gonna have to do better than that! Go on, try again, I'm ready for ya!" How can Yuri be so arrogant yet so skilled at the same time?

Munin has little to nothing left to lose, she figures. She COULD potentially still win this! She lashes out with all the speed she can muster! Strangely enough, her form suddenly distorts.
The shadows around her deepen and twist, and mirror images of her moving differently move in time with her, making identifying precisely WHAT she is doing impossible to tell. One image appears to stab with both blades. Another striking at her head, and yet another swings around as if to strike at her legs!

Somehow, Yuri shows impressive skill as she dodges that illusive attack. She rolls out of the way and looks at Munin. "That was a cool trick, you gotta teach it to me sometime!" Yuri then brings both of her fists behind her back and begins to focus her energy. "But get ready, here comes another!" Yuri then sends forth a HUGE blast of chi at Munin.

Munins eyes get wide at the large blast coming her way. In her dazed, almost out state, there's no way she can evade that! Her legs refusing to properly respond, it strikes her full on, sending her careening into the barrier, which actually cracks due to the impact. However, SHE'S STILL UP! She slowly steps up, head looking down, face hidden by her hair, and swords dropped after the impact. Stumbling towards Yuri, she again abruptly looks up, and SCREAMS as tendril-like spikes of shadowy purple chi fly from her eyes, mouth, and palms towards her opponent!
Hit or miss, following this, her eyes roll back into her head, and she falls over, unconscious.

Those spikes look real scary and dangerous. But Yuri somehow manages to avoid them. Each and every one of them. She doesn't know how she did it, but when she sees her opponent unconscious, Yuri awwws. "You're done already? I was having such a great time!" Yuri shrugs. "Oh well, I'll remember you for next time, OK? Oops, you're out cold!" Yuri limps away a little, but still grinning, while medical teams attend to Munin.
