Ken - Masters Justice

Description: May Lee, the Heroine of Justice seeks out Ken Masters after her Neo League match with Ibuki. Just what is it that the embodiment of Tokusatsu could even want?! (No, it doesn't involve cheesecake.)

So, after a ferocious battle in Las Vegas, May Lee had woken up in the back of a Neo League (tm) ambulance, and then immediately gone out for a steak dinner. It was great! Eventually, morning turning up and she was informed by the Neo League staff that actually, she wanted to be in Seattle. Not Metro City. And definitely not Las Vegas.

A quick plane journey later and May Lee is waiting outside the Chairman's Office. Ken probably gets a lot of fighters turning up wanting to speak to him, and May Lee... well, she's no different. With her goggles, ridiculous shirt and scarf, she's kicking her legs back and forth, bored and waiting for an appointment to open up in his schedule.

And like many fighters, she's cheerfully informed the secretary that she'll wait as long as it take; it is really no hassle! She's got nothing better to do. Though she is bored. And starting to hum.

The wait overall isn't that bad for young May Lee. She'll find that anything she might ask for is taken care of, even if its getting a sandwich from that one place down the road. The one thats always packed. You know the place. Ken's got his staff trained well, as you never know who is going to wander in and just what exactly they'll want!

The door to the Chairman's office opens and a weary blonde head sticks out, glancing about, only to notice the young girl.

"..You're the one that wished to see me?"

Ken motions for the girl to follow him, leading her into the office only to shut it behind her. "Please, take a seat. Things have been rather hectic for me, so I'm sorry if I seem slightly out of it."

May Lee is starstruck. Her eyes sparkle and her jaw drops when Ken comes out and ... speaks to her! Admittedly, this is exactly what she wanted, but now that she's actually seeing him face to face. She follows along in a daze, and she is soon settling down opposite one of the most powerful people in the world.

"Uhm. Yes! Mister Masters, I wanted to see you!" She says, folding her hands into her lap as she scoots her chair closer to the desk.

"I, uhm, I'm May Lee!" She says, introducing herself with a bit of a nervous smile. "I saw your message. Uhm. I was, really sorry to hear about your secretary..."

She's obviously not very confident right now, trying to remember... she had a speech! In fact, she's tugging some crumpled notes out of her pocket right now.

"It's quite all right. I remember you. You were one of the participants of the first Saturday Night Fight after I accquired control of it. You and a young lady named Kyoko Minazuki." There is a slight tug at the corners of Ken's mouth as he recalls the event, trying his best to remember the young lady before him fully. The fight was a long while back, but the important parts are still there.

A slight chuckle escapes his mouth as he watches the poor girl struggle, being caught between fandom and nervousness. "Relax. I'm not going to send you flying through the ceiling. We're just two people talking, try and think about it that way."

A slight wink is given towards the girl as the CEO of one of the largest companies in the world picks up his phone. "It's me. Send me up some sodas and a platter of--, May Lee, is there anything specific you would like to eat?"

May Lee looks pretty surprised that Ken remembers, but she nods her head, "Yes, that's right. We, uh, we did fight once. You hit me *really* hard." Which is about what she remembers of that encounter, but she doesn't hold it against him, smiling bright and cheerful.

She looks at the notes in her hands, and then hesitates. "Fried chicken?" She asks. "America has the best fried chicken, you just don't get it like you get it here in Korea!" She nods, and then... she suddenly seems to remember herself. Looking at the notes.

In an instant, she is standing on the chair she had been sitting on, her scarf fluttering behind her, "Wait, no! I don't have time for fried chicken!" She announces, holding the paper up in her hand and... almost touching the ceiling. "Mr. Masters! I'm here about JUSTICE!"

"Fried chicken. Yeah. Sooner the better." The phone is hung up, and Ken stares at the girl as she starts to climb on things, proclaiming she is there for JUSTICE (TM)! This illicits a loud laugh from Ken, who finally cracks a bright grin, motioning for her to get off the chair.

"So, justice? Tell me, what exactly I could do for you Miss May Lee." This is far to entertaining for Ken at this moment to truly take entirely seriously, only for him to reach over and grab a pen, idly twirling it between his fingers.

"It's nice to see the enthusiasm in someone as young as you.. So, tell me exactly what you came here for."

May Lee is used to people laughing at her. She wasn't really sure what to expect after the laughter, though. Sometimes it is followed by 'get out of here you lunatic', sometimes by more laughter. It is very rarely followed by someone asking what they can do to help her. She gets down off the chair, but she doesn't sit down again. Instead she stays standing and meets Ken's eye. She's totally serious! Even if she is acting a little nuts.

"Well Mr. Masters, I want to help you out!"

She smiles brightly, and gives a salute. "I saw your speech, and I thought, hey! Ken knows what's up! He's going to be fighting these Shadaloo jerks, and I can't just stay out of that sort of thing! So tell me where to find them, and I'll bring these losers to justice! A Hero can't stand to see evil go unopposed!"

To emphasize her point, she puts her hands on her hips as she speaks. Its funny, but she always feels more confident when she's got her scarf on nice and tight.

A slight frown appears upon Ken's face as May Lee lays out her grand plan. This is not what he truly wanted, its what Vega wanted. The tyrannical despot /wants/ Ken to build an army and come after him. Now he has someone voulenteering to be upon the front lines.

"I.. think you should sit down May Lee, because I want you to listen to what I'm about to tell you very closely.." There is a sharp exhale of breath as Ken starts to loosen the tie around his neck, staring directly into the young heroine of justice's eyes.

"I had no intention of going after him. I had held the silly notion of building an army, but that truly would be playing into what Vega wants. It would be placing more people into harms way, and I couldn't allow it..."

May Lee does sit down, though she fidgets a little uncomfortably in doing so. She's got a lot of energy, and it is hard to have it bottled up like this. She does listen to what Ken has to say, but by the end of it, there's a certain strength in May Lee's eyes that might just be surprising to Ken, given how cheerful she'd been before.

"You can't let him get away with it." She says, shaking her head. She doesn't get up, but some of her chirpiness has worn off as well.

"Ken, he *killed* someone. And if we don't stop him, then he'll hurt a lot more people too. He's evil. I *am* going to go after him, because I couldn't look at myself in the mirror if I didn't! It's the responsibility of anyone who has the strength to stand up to bullies like that, to do it! Are you just going to sit here whilst he plans the next person to try and hurt to get to you?!"

"Am I going to put the safety of my wife and child first? You can be damned sure I will. Shadaloo doesn't operate with the mindset of taking out whomever comes after them. They go after those closest to you first." Ken knows this first hand. Shadaloo has been after his family before, not only because of who he is, but because of those who are close to him.

"Strength and how you use it is up to those who hold that power."

Ken stares at the girl for a few more moments, before shaking his head slightly. "May Lee. If.. this is to be done, there will need to be a lot more assistance. I.. might have a few ideas, however we cannot guarentee that those who aren't involved will be safe."

"Being a Hero doesn't mean doing what's easy." May Lee says, "It means doing what's *right*."

The words are cheesy, yes. They're words from the movies she loves to watch, the Tokusatsu media that feeds a dramatized version of heroism. But she genuinely believes it. Being a hero doesn't mean searching for glory or backing down because you're scared of being hurt. A true hero is willing to lay down their life, where nobody would ever know, if that's what has to be done for the safety of all.

"Of course we'll need to make sure your family are safe." She says, bowing her head. She didn't mean that they had to go running to put them in danger, after all! She's very lucky; almost everyone close to her is a fighter in their own right, and most of them are stronger than she is!

"But if you want someone to draw their attention... I'm not scared!" She clasps her hands together tightly in her lap to convince herself of this fact, too. "We could put together a team! There's lots of people who want to hit Shadaloo after everything they've done! And if we all look out for each other and everyone around us, then we'll all be safer! We're in a lot more danger if we have to work on our own, right?"

"I'm not a hero." Ken speaks the words as if they were the absolute truth, sighing slightly at the girls overall enthusisasm. He doesn't really know how he should proceed with this. This truly smells like a bad thing, although it is one that is needed.

Ken idly drums his fingers on his desk for a few moments, trying to debate things internally before nodding his head. "I'll make some calls. I know a few people would like to strike back because their lives are in ruins, so they'll be pretty easy to possibly bring on board."

Ken pulls open a drawer on his desk, pulling out a large folder bearing the Neo League logo. "I'm not sure how many people would like this, but as I said.. I will make some calls. Not everyone is going to run out and want to strike at Shadaloo. I will admit that I would like to see them pay for what they've done."

May Lee nods her head slowly, though she doesn't look very happy as Ken announces that he's not a hero. She's taken her scarf off, and now fiddles with the garment in her hands. "I don't want to *hurt* them exactly, and I don't know if *vengeance* is a very good motivation for going in after people..."

She shakes her head quickly, "Its about trying to make them understand that what they're doing is wrong! And, bringing people who've done bad things to justice! I bet Chun Li would help if you asked, and she's got to have all sorts of ideas about how to bring Vega to justice. She's a police officer!"

She smiles again, her cheer utterly undiminished all over again. "We'll have to work as a team and look out for each other, too. But I'm sure we can do it! In the face of justice, evil can never triumph!"

"Evil can't be allowed to triumph, no. However we aren't super heroes. I'm just warning you now that some people, will laugh and say to never speak to them again because it's just so much to take in. Unless they are directly affected, most people won't want to get involved."

"I am a person who will do the right thing, but I have a responsibility to put those I love first, and keep their best intrests in mind. If it came down to burning down everything my father built, or divorcing my wife.. Well there would be no way for them to stop the inferno that'd surround the Masters Corporation."

Ken continues to watch the girl, a slight grin once more creeping onto his face, even though the conversation is truly heavy and life altering to an extent. "Once again, I can't promise anything, but I will see what I can do."

May Lee nods her head. She knows not everyone is cut out for this sort of thing, and she knows that it is incredibly dangerous. In fact, she knows that she's getting herself in at the deep end. But she's told the absolute truth; knowing that there are people out there like that, she can't let herself stand on the sidelines no matter how dangerous it is. Her one, crushing experience with Vega had demonstrated the difference in power between them... but she's still drawing breath.

Here she stands, she can do no other.

Standing up again, she smiles, and gives Ken a big thumbsup. "Alright! Well. Here's my cell phone number!" She says, tugging out her cell and flipping it open to her number. The phone is a 'Kamen Rider' special with a froggy keychain. "Keep in touch, okay? I'm going to try and find others who might be willing to help too! We'll need as many people as we can!"
