Description: After wrecking part of Karian's home during their little fight over of all things a jacket on the closeline in the back yard. Some very disturbing revlations come to light.
Fights have this annoying tendency to knock people out of it. So when Karin Kanzuki managed to put an end to her fight with La Shey, she at least had the common decency to give La Shey some place better to recover than the streets. In fact, she went out of her way to have her servants treat the unconscious girl to a bath and a clean robe before putting her in one of the guest bedrooms to sleep in the bed.
Just a matter of time waiting for the girl to wake up.
On the personel effects fo the mysterious fighter? They'd have found a few odd things in the pouches on her belt. Some compressed rations, several odds and ends, an empty flash drive card. But not a single bit of money, no ID, and not so much as a brand label on any bit of her gear. She was pretty much an unknown. She's unaware of her change in state. At least untill she comes too goaning. She had not expected that last hit...
It seems that Karin was waiting for the girl to awake, as she was sitting in an armchair in the room. It looks like she too had given herself a bath and rest up, having changed into her own robe at the moment. She arches an eyebrow for a moment as before addressing her guest, "I expect you had yourself a good rest. You've been out for nearly a day. It looks like the fight took the last reserves of your energy. Do you feel better?"
Shey is waking up now, she pauses at the voice and she now full wakes up. "That was a hell of a fight, I wasn't expecting you to be able to fight at all." She says quite honestly. "Better than most fights I can remeber so yes I feel better! That was fun!"
It goes without saying that Karin is still kind of suspicious of the girl who broke into her family's estate, even if it was just for a jacket. Karin had made a point of looking for some sort of identification to figure out who the girl is, including having the girl's fingerprints checked out. Karin has lots of resources, and yet whoever this girl was is a complete blank as far as the world cares.
Karin keeps these thoughts in her head for the moment as she glances to a nearby table and takes a moment to pour some tea into a pair of cups, and says, "Being able to surprise those who attack me is a very good advantage that I have. One would think that people would try to be more careful."
She carefully mixes some sugar into each cup, before asking, "So, since we're going need to get better acquainted, I'd like to introduce myself properly." She smiles a bit and stands up with one of the cups of tea, and carries it over to the bedside table, and sets it down for the girl. "I'm Karin Kanzuki... I'm certain you're familiar with the Kanzuki Zaibutsu, so I'll skip that part..."
Shey accepts the Tea quite happily really she doesn't seem too picky about it at all. She tilts her head a bit at the name. "I'm afraid I don't even know what a Zaibutsu is I assume it's something that brings in a lot of resources given the staff your family seems to have here and the size of the place." She looks rather umm sheepish about that.
It's strange really there really was nothing there no prints, no nothing it's like she wasn't real yet here she is, a girl that was zeroed. Not a single bit of paper work existed on her, heck her clothing didn't even have any way to ID who made it nither.
"I'm really sorry about it, they'd been left outside and thought they'd been thrown out..."
The Kanzuki heiress eyes Shey a little more, puzzled by the girl's lack of familiarity with most everything that would normally be common sense. She rubs her temple for a moment in order to figure out her next course of questioning, before continuing, "Something like that. A Zaibatsu is a large business conglomerate... My family owns a rather large one in Japan..."
Karin now crosses her arms over her chest as she says, "Never mind the jacket, I think it's more important that you stop dodging the next logical course of this conversation. I just introduced myself, and you have yet to do the same."
Shey seems to get the concept at least nodding with a light of understanding going on in her head. "Oh I thought I did I'm sorry. I'm ... La Shey." Odd name but a name none the least. She seems a bit sheepish but there's been no insult intented she just seems kinda of clueless? Yet she's clearly started to master controling her Chi to a large degree already...
Karin's eyes narrow a bit at the name, as though she was expecting a little more than that, but she sighs and gets on with explaining, "La Shey... An interesting name to say the least... I'm glad you were able to tell me that much, because while you were out, I investigated you more closely, in case you were a criminal of some sort that would have been best for the police to deal with.
She arches an eyebrow and asks, "Do you you know what I found out about you? After having your finger prints checked out, and your face matched... After using all the resources my family's company had in order to figure out who you were, can you guess what they uncovered about you?"
Shey looks at Karien almost hopefully as she looks over the other fighter. She nods at each b it of information and then pauses at the question. So many things she didn't know now that they were pointed out. It didn't make sense at all she should know where she's from, she clearly knows how to fight. "Please tell me you managed to find something?"
Karin sighs a little and sets her tea down before getting up from the arm chair she was sitting in. She pinches the bridge of her nose, searching for words to use, before looking at La Shey properly, and saying bluntly, "I didn't find anything."
She turns and begins to pace across the room, as she elaborates, "Or rather... There was nothing to find. There are no records, no documents, no photos, not even so much as a birth certificate. As far as the world is concerned, you don't exist." She points a finger harshly at the girl, and says in a cold voice, "You are nothing."
Shey listens to what Karin has to say, as she has an answer, one that kinda was almost expected yet is crushing none the less. You can see it on La Shey's face this kinda stunnned look as she's told she doesn't exist. "But...how is that possible I am right here. I'm not nothing! I am right here!"
Karin's eyes warm up again now that she had said that, and she crosses her arms over her chest, "That much is obvious. I just told you that because you needed to understand the gravity of your situation." She sighs a bit, before continuing, "Someone went through a lot of trouble to create the illusion of your non-existence. You might not exist officially, but unofficially there are people who know who you are, and have a lot of explainingin to do."
She turns and brushes her hair out of her face, "I already have an investigation started about you. Someone, somewhere, knows you. People are not erased that easily. Someone signed a paper approving the deletion of all the records about you. If we find the paper trail, we'll be able to uncover everything."
She then turns to glance sympathetically at La Shey, "You haven't said it, but I think your reactions make it abundantly clear... You have no memory of who you are, do you?"
Shey seems to understand and is concerned about this. She doesn't seem to lying. "And they could be looking for me." She ighs for a moment and nods. "I know but I do remeber one thing there was a transport I was... In a tube I think strange goo. There was fire everywhere and I pulled my self out of it and ran into the woods. Other than that I have some spoty memories but nothing that concreet I know how to fight remeber some training but can't remeber anything of imporance or use..."
Karin hmms softly and nods, before turnning and walking out the room, casually saying, "You'll stay here for the time being. Identification will be created as well as a form of passport for international travel. You're going to need a lot of that."
"She then turns and grins at La Shey, "Karom Kamzuki get to the bottom of this."
Shey looks to her boss, and prehaps soemday friend. "I understand and thank you, you don't need to do that for me. I don't know if the wreck's there but it might have something left if it's not been found." She's really wondering what is she...and worse who?
