Description: When Ken decides to finally get some work done, there's always going to be a distraction.
It's been a while since Ken's been back in Seattle. It's also been a while since he's visited his wife and child. Then again, he couldn't trust himself to be around them with everything that had been going on. King of Fighters has finally died down, and the negative press that had been swirling around him is now a thing of the past. Already the media has forgotten the events of just only a few months ago, leaving the crimson clad fighter alone to his thoughts and family.
The skyline of Seattle is generally covered in a light drizzle of rain, almost as if it were mimicing the feelings that fill his heart. He's been through hell and back, and now his body has paid the price. There's so many things left for him to do, and already he's started on with a new project thanks to the support of someone who the world has believed to be dead.
Now he just has to find the right kind of person to have as the face of the Neo Development Project, which he already seems to have a few canadidates in mind. Of course, the hard part now is convincing them to do it.
Though the crimson clad fighter might be a bit busy with various work related stuff, and plans to work on the NDP, those plans might get thrown right out the window when the intercom buzzes. Should Ken answer, the secretary on the other end would be saying, "Mr. Masters, sir, you have an a visitor, but she doesn't have an appointme--" She would be cut off by the yell, "I don't need an appointment, get out of my way!" It sounds kind of familiar.
The noise on the other end would continue somewhat, as the noise outside the office gets louder, until the door open up suddenly, as a blonde girl in a red school girl outfit bursts in. It was Karin Kanzuki, and she seems frustrated, and not just that. Her arms and legs, and even her face, have bandages all over. She seemed to have gotten into a fight recently that didn't agree with her. "Ken Masters!" She calls at him, with a pointing finger, "Fight me!"
This is right before a pair of security guys run in and grab at her shoulders, ready to drag Karin out of the building at Ken's word.
"Miss Kanzuki, what a surprise." Ken idly waves his hand towards the security guards, dismissing them to leave the heiress to the Kanzuki fortune alone with him in his office. "So, you traveled all this way, snuck past my security, and burst into my office to challange me to a fight?" A slight smile appears on the man's face as he slowly starts to stand up.
It's obvious there's trouble as he starts to limp slightly towards the girl, idly rolling the sleeves of his dress shirt up, revealing blackened and bruised arms. "I'm not in the best of shape, but I've never been one to really turn down a fight." The slight smile on his face is obviously wrought with pain, yet he's ready and willing to give Karin just what she desires.
Slowly his body starts to sway, as he starts to get his body geared up for getting into yet another fight..

Karin blinks for a moment, actually paying attention to Ken's injuries for a moment, and though she's still huffing from trying to, essentially, break into the office, she takes a moment to compose herself, "I see.. How inconsiderate of me." Now showing off that air of arrogance in order to mask her frustration, "I had heard you were injured, but in my rush to face you I ignored the fact."
She chews on her bottom lip for a moment as she glances away, "I really ought to let you recover, it would be unbecoming of me to fight someone who's injured."
"Karin, it'd be rude of me to not indulge you, since you obviously went through quite a bit just to reach me." Ken grins slightly as he moves towards the girl, obviously movig slower then he normally would.
Of course, his feet still pack a heavy hit, especially as his right foot suddenly flies out, aimed directly at Karin. "If you're not going to start, then I will!"

Karin goes wide eyed as Ken nonetheless comes after him and opens with the first strike, and brings her arms out in front of her to block the kick. "You can't be serious! I have a completely unfair advantage here, Ken Masters! I would rather face you at your full strength!"
Karin probably should have waited for a better occasion now. She doesn't want to end up winning because of this. "This would speak badly of my actual skill, to only be able to beat you when you're injured!"
COMBATSYS: Karin focuses on her next action.

"So, you break in here, knowing that I'm injured already. And now you want to try and back out of it? I didn't know that the Kanzuki's were so flippant in what they do." The words are truly meant as a stab to get the girl in the mood to fight. Of course, what sort of martial artist would Ken be if he didn't try to goad his opponents into a rage.
Of course, once more Ken is moving towards the girl, his right fist flying out, aimed straight at her. It's obviously he's going to keep poking at her until she finally decides to go after him like she originally intended.

Karin grits her teeth and shifts her weight and moves to catch the jab, figuring it wouldn't be that hard given Ken's injuries. However, the punch was fast enough that it skips her hands entirely and strikes her right in the jaw. Karin blinks and narrows her eyes, and says, "Ken Masters, I simply misunderstood how badly you were injured..." There's an edge that says that she was getting kind of annoyed. "If you want an apology, I'll give it freely."
"Or you can fight me here and now. I figured you'd of all people know it is a bigger insult to issue a challange, then withdraw it out of pity. Now fight me like you want to Karin. A fight is a fight. Get rid of that silly notion of honor, and realize that any battle has its merits." Ken's words are stinging, and may infact strike a nerve or two with Karin, yet it doesn't matter. She issued the challange, and should follow through.
The blonde man straightens up once more and motions towards Karin. "Fight me Karin. You issued the challange. Don't try and back out of it because you're feeling /sorry/ for me."

That did it. Karin was rubbing her sore cheek from the earlier jab when Ken stabs her with his words, at which flinches a moment, before growling and shifting her stance, and charges in with intent to fight seriously now, "If that's how you want it to be, then so be it!" She cries out and thrusts out consecutive palm strikes, and tries to smash her elbow up at his chest, "GUREN KEN - RESSEN CHOU!"

Injured or not, Ken is still quick on his feet. As the younger woman rushes towards him with her elbow, he quickly sidesteps out of the way, allowing her to move past him. "That's the spirit Karin. It's about time you started getting serious. I would have hated to continue trying and pointing out the obvious with 'ya."
Of course, now that he's managed to get out of her way, he is once more rushing towards her, hands outstretched grab ahold of that pretty red dress of hers. If he manages to latch on, she'll find herself being pulled over him, and then punted away in a neat rolling motion.

Karin yipes as Ken grabs her so easily, and just flings her over, and she flies across the room, and tumbles a bit from the throw. The throw didn't have as much oomph as one would expect from Ken. She grits her teath and pulls herself back to her feet as she leaps, palms whirling and aiming to smack Ken a couple of times as comes down, "RESSEN HA!"

Normally that would be a great excuse to continue attacking, yet Ken staggers slightly as Karin suddenly retaliates, rushing towards him once again to continue her own onslaught. As Karin starts to come down to smack Ken, the US Champion suddenly ducks down.
The chi suddenly starts to well up and spring to life upon his right fist yet that isn't enough. So as Ken moves to rise up, and attempt to knock Karin out of the air with his famed Shoryuken his body suddenly seizes, only to cause the chi to disperse, leaving him taking the full brunt of Karin's attack which causes him to stagger backwards.
"Ugh. You're actually starting to get better finally." Yep. Ken's going to continue the witty banter and keep Karin wanting to kick his ass and not attempt to wuss out again.
For a moment, Karin actually felt a nice bit of satisfaction that came with powering through a Shoryuken, and being in an advantageous position against him, until she reminds herself that Ken's still hurt and not fighting at full strength. So really, Ken's banter does a good job of getting her angry again, "Don't you give me pity!"
Karin cries out and leaps at Ken, swinging a kick heavily for his head, "This is no way to know if I've improved!"

As Karin starts to bring her leg down towards him, Ken's hands neatly rise upwards and neatly push it out of the way. "I think I'm going to have to take that back, because if I can still do that while half-beaten and hurtin'..." A slight smile appears on his face as he takes a lone step backwards.
All ready the blonde dynamo is allowing his body to arch backwards, only to spin towards Karin in a cartwheel like-motion, right leg swinging towards her, aimed for her collarbone.

Karin narrows her eyes and shifts her stance as Ken spins, getting ready to counter. Once Ken swings his leg around, she quickly ducks down and catches the leg from below, and twists at Ken's leg in order to use the momentum of the swing of the kick against him, and send him barreling over.
Karin then stands up and puts some distance between herself and Ken, growling as she says, "If I beat you like this, it means nothing! If you beat me like this, it means I haven't improved at all!"
"So is that what its about? Are you really that worried?" Ken grins as he slowly starts to pick himself up off the ground. Karin is improving, but not as much as she could. That's something that is obvious even to the weakened US Champion. Already he's starting to gather his chi. Karin can't have an easy win, can she?
The chi starts to build as he lowers his hands to his side, forming the chi into the brilliant blue ball that everyone seems to be familar with. The hands thrust forward, allowing the ball to be launched towards the girl.
"HADOUKEN!"

Karin moves her arms up in order to try to black, but the fireball blasts into her gut and shoves her backwards, rather than sending her flying. She winces a little and narrows her eyes, before charging in once more, driving her palms out repeatedly, "GUREN KEN!" Increasingly frustrated by Ken's inability to fight at his full strength.

As Karin rushes in with her palms pretending to be E-Honda, Ken grins as he ducks down once again. This time the chi fully springs to life upon his right fist. "Karin, you need to move faster." The fist rockets upwards, chi surging across his arm as he rises upwards.
The chi bursts out in crimson flames as he launches upwards, engulfing poor Karin in flames as she's sent flying away.
Ken idly adjusts the sleeves of his shirt, ensuring that they haven't fallen down to get in his way.
Karin finds herself getting shoryukenned to the jaw, and gets sent flying up into the air, and crashes to the ground. She shakes her head for a moment before growling and crawling back to her feet, muttering, "Don't think you can just show you true strength when you feel like it! Stop holding back on me!" Maybe she's being unreasonable at this point, but she's just getting frustrated in herself at this as much as Ken.
Karin lunges forward and aims to grab Ken by the shirt and tries to drive her knee into his gut and chest, several times. She then tries to fling him over herself and slam him to the ground once, then pull him up back to his feet again and fling him over again, and then would do this once more, roaring as she as (in epic physics Defiant Video Game Style) whiles him into two circles before slam back down a final time.
Presuming she's successful.

The grin never fades from Ken's face as he lowers his arms, blocking the brunt of Karin's attack. As she moves to fling him over her shoulder, he lands on the ground, only to roll slightly and back upright. His hands move to dust his shirt off, smoothing out the wrinkles.
"Showing my true power? I'm going at you seriously. Do you really think you can say the same?" Ken rolls his head to the side as he starts moving back towards Karin, only to slam his left leg upwards, aiming it straight for her chin.

Heel, plus face, equals ow. Karin gets her face smashed into by Ken's shoe, since he's presumably still wearing them, and she flies backwards once more, but this time rolls back to her feet and dashes in, swinging a high roundhouse kick at Ken's head. A very Elegant Kick (or not very, depending on your angle).

Once more Karin comes rushing in, except Ken is already waiting for her. "I'm sorry to do this to you Karin, but you still have a long way to go." He is ducking down low, only to rise upwards to catch Karin with a slight uppercut.
As Ken pulls back, his right leg flies outwards to catch Karin with a vicious kick to the side, only to be followed up by another kick, and then another, and another. The kicks to some may seem like they're never ending. They do eventually come to a stop, as chi suddenly surges to life upon Ken's fist, trailing down his right arm as he launches himself upwards, slamming the fist into the Kanzuki Heiress' jaw, drawing her up towards the ceiling in a spiraling torrent of flames.
"SHINRYUU KEN!"
Karin goes wide eyed as she finds herself over-swinging her kick, and ends up spinning to far, and tries to spin back into a defensive stance, but only receives an uppercut for her trouble. Ken proceeds to viciously kick her repeatedly, and she gets beat up quite badly, before Ken drives that last flaming fist up, and briefly catches her on fire as she flies into air.
Karin crashes to the ground, and lays still... Or at least she does for a moment. She slowly moves, and crawls back to her knees, pushing herself back to her feet. She sucks in a breath slowly as she grabs her fairly shredded burning shirt, and rips it off slowly, tossing the red remains of the shirt proper, leaving her in a black sports tanky top thing, and shifts her stance into an offensive stance, her eyes seeming half out of it and yet burning with intensity. "I'll... Defeat you... Ken Masters..."
She then roars and dashes in close, trying to duck in next to him, before leaping and whirling her palms at whirlwind speed, "KOU'OU KEN!!!"
COMBATSYS: Karin can no longer fight.

But rather than land on her feet afterwards, Karin winds up just crashing to the ground, her body completely spent.

Fatigue has started setting in, leaving Ken feeling as if he were moments away from falling over himself. This feeling isn't new however for him, and he knows how to power through it. Especially as Karin slams her palms out towards him.
Crouching down slightly, Ken crosses his arms, allowing them to take the full force of the girl's final stand. However, once she falls over, he knows the fight is over. "Karin. There is an entire world out there. Focusing solely on me as one of the ones you most overcome is an admirable thing." His hands gently lower the sleeves back over his arms, buttoning the cuffs as he moves to help Karin back to her feet. "I have a proposition for you. I want you to take part in my new project. I think though, we're going to have to discuss this later.." All ready Security is rushing through the door, ready to whisk Karin off at a moments notice for treatment.
"When you're ready, come back to see me. I'll always be ready to accept your challange."
Karin's pretty much out of it now, mumbling things mostly unconsciously at this point, like, "I'll... Beat you... Ken Masters..." And "I'll beat you... Sakura..." Indicative of two of her bigger goals as a fighter. She's carried off by security, and met but her very much concerned butler, Ishizaki, who too is checking to see if she's not too injured.
Whatever Ken wanted to speak to Karin about is gonna have to wait...
