The sun was just starting to set over Petra but the sheltered canyon was already being cast in shadowy darkness. Several of the Neo League film crew were busy finalizing checks with their equipment, modern film and lighting gear juxtaposed against the ancient stonework. Billy felt rather out of place on the dusty amphitheatre, the stands were devoid of spectators, which was a bit of an odd thing for the former champ. However, this is what the NL subscribers paid for, something you couldn't see just anywhere else. Pro fighting, taking place in the most exotic locales around the world, it couldn't be missed!
It had been a while since Billy's last public bout, and the League was a bit of a bizarre choice for him. Perhaps it could even be construed as a poor choice, considering that his employer was also the owner of the League's direct competition. Fortunately, there's a reason behind everything, especially in organizations like the Syndicate, and Billy's participation sent a clear message. They would not be intimidated by imitators, in fact, they could even dominate from within, and that was exactly what Mr. Kane planned to do. That, and the whole shebang sounded like a great way to sneak in a few rigorous workouts...
Billy leaned on his metallic staff casually as he took his position in the middle of the theatre. The long shadows felt wonderful as they relieved the canyon from the day's merciless sun. It was going to be a great fight...But with who? Billy smirked and spat a fat loogie on the ground, contemptuous of the priceless ruin. It didn't matter who it was, in fact he hadn't bothered to read the entire itinerary when he signed up, they all fell down the same in the end..
Meanwhile, on the other side of the arena, a different sight can be seen. Yuri Sakazaki isn't paying much attention to the general environment, but rather focusing on warming up. Things including stretching, push-ups and sit-ups, and even practicing her attacks. And yes, that includes projectiles. Fortunately, she avoids hitting anything important, which is good since she would never be able to afford to pay for it!
Yuri then finishes and turns to face her opponent, who happens to be Billy Kane. "You're fighting with a weapon?" Yuri asks as she does a double-take at the weapon Billy's holding, but then it turns into a grin. "Oh boy! This is gonna be even more challenging, just the way I like it!" Yuri gives a thumbs up and then gets into her fighting stance.

The cameras start rolling and Billy finally notices his opponent. It's the Sakazaki brat...how wonderful.. A nice paycheck, plenty of TV exposure, and hey even a chance to make the daughter of one of Geese's enemies look pathetic. Hey this Neo League thing was looking up!
He chuckles at the mention of his staff. "Oh, I wouldn't worry about this old girl, love." He gives the staff a bit of a jaunty spin. "She's just a present, from me mum.." With that he slams the tip of the staff down in front of him, inspiring a tuft of dust into the air. "Now then, I'm feeling sportin' so why don't you give me your best shot, little Sakazaki birdie..."

"Hey, what did you just call me?!" Yuri snaps, her expression going from cheerful to angry. "Nobody talks to me like that! I'm not a little child, I'm a Kyokugen Karate mistress, and I'm gonna prove to you just how awesome Kyokugen truly is!" Advancing on Billy, yet managing to retain her stance where she bounces on her heels a little, her scowl narrows. "You're gonna regret treating me the way you did!" And then finishes with a blast of chi being sent at Billy quickly.

Billy barks out a cruel laugh, enjoying the strong reaction he was getting out of the girl. He knocks aside the shining Ko'ou Ken blast with his staff relatively easily, though the force of it rattles his entire shoulder. Old Takuma's daughter had a heck of an arm it seemed. Not like it would matter though...Billy takes a split moment to hunker down into his stance before launching at the girl with frightening speed. His aim is slam his cane upward into the girl's abdomen. If he's successful at it he'll lift her straight into the air and grind her up on the tip of his staff for a moment before slamming her back down onto the stone. An extremely cruel move to open the match with, but hey, fighting clean wasn't exactly in Billy's playbook.

Cruel, he may be, but he's not that good in terms of penetrating Yuri's defenses. She sees the staff coming at her, and she brings her arms into a defensive position to knock the staff away, although it does leave quite a bruse on her forearm. Yuri lets out a grunt of pain, then recovers. "Not good enough," Yuri says, giving an evil eyeball with a raspberry. "Try this instead!" She adds as she attempts to deliver a quick snapping punch towards Billy.

It's Billy's turn to be annoyed this time as Yuri sends the insulting gesture at him. "Tch, brat." He curses to himself as he spins his staff back into the ready position. The heavy weapon he wielded was a great advantage, adding power and leverage to every attack, but unfortunately it could just be cumbersome at times as well. As he's returning to the ready, he finds that he has no time to react to the plucky girl's quick strike. It socks him right across the jaw and he takes a step back.
Billy's eyes are wild as he glares at the young Sakazaki disciple, stunned that he was even hit like that at all. "Bollocks...This ends in three moves!" Billy snarls as he snaps his weapon foward in an arcing blow towards the midsection.

This time, Yuri finds there's no way to protect herself in the least bit. She's hit and sent flying across the fighting area, rolling a few times before landing in a semi-seated position. When the stars clear from her mind, Yuri pushes herself up, holding onto the arm she uses to push herself up, as it appears to be a little injured. "You're tougher than I thought," Yuri comments. "You hurt me a lot, but I won't give up!" Yuri closes her eyes and begins to focus on breathing deeply.

The thuggish Brit smiles as he sends the young girl flying back. He also almost has an inkling of admiration for her as she struggles back on her feet. Almost.
"Tougher than you thought? That's a laugh..." He sets a foot forward, readying to launch his weapon into a thrusting attack. "I'm /THE/ toughest love...And you got the bad luck in drawing the best for your fight. But it's alright love, I don't blame ya for bein' handicapped by such an ineffectual fighting style and all..." As Billy continues to insult Yuri, his staff shoots forward in a blur, the individual segments breaking free, and the chain rattling furiously as the tip rockets towards her in a projectile like attack. "Heeeerreeyaaah!!!"

Again, Yuri finds herself unable to defend herself against the incoming staff, despite her best efforts. She goes flying again, landing on her rear, and then a semi-fetal position. Despite appearing to be down for the count, Yuri opens her eyes once again and grits her teeth through the pain of pushing up with two arms that hurt like hell. She glares at Billy and looks at him with narrowed eyes... and then an aura of chi flows around her, somehow pulsating throughout her body and bringing back some of her fighting ability. At the same time, Yuri brings both fists back and prepares to let fly with a large blast of chi.

At first Billy doesn't take the incoming attack seriously. He watches with quiet bemusement as Yuri gathers herself up. Well isn't that cute? She's gathering her chi like--Holy crap its a blast thats bigger than her whole body! He tries to dodge, but far too late. The energy ball overwhelms Billy's body, and he attempts to tough it out for a moment, digging in his heels, but is eventually overtaken and slammed to the ground. "THAT HURT!" He manages the cry out. It was quite a painful lump to take, but unfortunately for Yuri, it was going to take a lot more than that before he was even going to start slowing down...Kipping up smoothly, Billy narrows his focus on his target, handling his staff with a white knuckle grip.

Yuri finds herself a little out of breath, between the injuries and the fact that the attack took a LOT out of her. Yet, her vitality seems to be refilling a little... whether it's her chi or just a miracle, Yuri doesn't care. She points at Billy and says, "You ARE tougher than you look... But don't start celebrating just yet!"

Billy spits onto the arena floor again, his irritation with the girl threatening to boil into legitimate anger. "It'll take a lot more than some garden variety Sakazaki fireworks to put me down for good, dearie." He presses the attack, feinting to the side for a moment before committing his entire body into a devastating blow. Using his cane as a makeshift pole vault, Billy launches himself at the girl, attacking with a sort to 'vaulting dropkick'.

The kick could easily hurt Yuri if it hit her. That is, of course, IF it hit her. But as it stands, Yuri just somehow manages to step out of the way in the nick of time and avoid being hit completely. "Missed me!" Yuri says in a weak taunting manner. She takes another deep breath and blows it out, then says, "Here, let me show you something!" And somehow, she manages to rush towards Billy and attempt a flying uppercut not unlike the famous Dragon Punch... albeit with a style Yuri added to it to make it unique!

The flying kick lands heavily, wide of it's slippery target and Billy grunts hard, flexing his knees. He committed his entire strength into that blow, hoping to end it then and there. Fortunately he half expected her to duck down and be a tricky bugger, so when she launches into her uppercut, he manages to sidestep it just in time. As the girl flies past him with her attack, Billy merely spins to laterally from her, extending his staff out at the last minute, hoping to catch the poor girl in the spine.

Yuri tries defending one more time, but her timing, alas, is just off too much again. She gets hit in the spine and goes staggering forwards, almost falling over... But at the last second, an aura of chi shoots out of her and she turns to face Billy. "If I go down, then let me bring you with me!" Yuri shouts as she rushes at Billy and attempts to run into him and land a deep striking uppercut attack... like her signature attack, only more painful.
COMBATSYS: Yuri can no longer fight.

There are few things in the world that could wipe the condescending smirk from Billy's face as he sent Yuri sprawling with his last attack. Fortunately for her, a Shin Chou Upper to the chin is one of those things. Billy staggers back as the first blow lands, and then goes flying into the sky as the follow up strike finds its way home. The epic uppercut sends the Brit packing for a moment, and he lets out a strangled cry of anguish. Boy it hurt, but at least it was going to make for some good TV...
Billy shakes off the pain after sailing through the air for a moment, and his body arcs back down towards the ground as gravity takes over. Pulling himself up in a backflip the moment before he touches down he saps the energy from his fall, allowing him to land more of less gracefully and in one piece. She made a good showing, but it was still far from enough to topple Southtown's finest enforcer.
"Heh, not bad Sakazaki birdie, not bad. I suppose your pop's style has...limited potential..." Billy gives his weapon one last spin before collapsing its three sections into a more easily carried form. "Send my regards to your old man for me.." And with that, the last thing Yuri hears as her world starts to go black around her, is Billy's footsteps casually walking away and his mocking laughter buring harshly in her ears...

Yuri would hear it if she wasn't unconscious. As it is, after the attack landed, Yuri collapsed into the ground. She doesn't really say anything, she just lies there motionless while medical teams tend to her. She doesn't really care about winning or losing since she's unconscious...
