Description: Come for the noodles, stay for the ass kicking!
Even the dreary overcast sky did little to dampen the hustle and bustle of the marketplace today. Vendors kept up their energy as always, yelling nearly at the top of their lungs at potential shoppers. One had to be careful as they stepped through the crowded streets, you could easily be swept away by the pressing throng of bodies, or just as easily collide with a frenzied courier on a chugging motor scooter. Billy Kane was avoiding the chaos for the most part. He was tucked comfortably into an alley, sitting at a street vendor's stand. It was daytime, and time to do some relaxation. His last few nights had been quite busy, supervising the illegal arms shipments that the Syndicate was handling in the city. There had been a few snags with the local authorities, but the arrival of Mr. Kane had done much to 'smooth out' the problems. Hopefully in a couple more days things could proceed on schedule without the need for him to physically be in the country, the sooner things wrapped up here and he could leave the better, this weather was just killing him. Billy grumbled to himself a bit, looking over the counter, wondering what was taking his noodles so long...
Having slowed to a crawl passing through the busy streets Chun-li has long abandoned the conspicuous black sedan in favour of following the Englishman on foot, a fact made convenient by how easily he stands out against the local crowds in both dress and height though she herself stands out some in dress if not in stature. Tailing him at a respectable distance she also has to work against the crowd, quietly apologizing as she closes the distance.
She stops in front of one of the local vendors and greets the proprietor with a smile, quickly pointing out a selection of noodles, meats and vegetables which are boxed up for her in a portion size. Handing over a few yuan notes she banters genially with him a moment until having received her change and taken a complimentary pair of chopsticks. Chun-li leans against one of the walls between some ramshackle vendors while watching Mr. Kane carefully for any moves he might make or people he is meeting, slowly working the chopsticks through her own noodles and occasionally stirring the contents and blowing into the small carton.
The snack stand owner obviously trembled as he set the piping hot bowl in front of Billy. The blonde snorted softly as his food finally arrived, and he swished the salty soup around with his chopsticks. The server made himself scarce, he knew better than to demand payment from an obvious Syndicate kingpin. Billy brought some noodles to his mouth with his chopsticks, slurping loudly as he ate.
Just then 'God Save the Queen' by the Sex Pistols started to warble out of tiny cellphone speakers. Billy reached into his jacket, flipping the phone open he glanced at the number calling him and scowled. "Yeah..." His phone greeting was curt. "No, it was taken care of 2 days ago...Yes I'm certain...Well switch to the other bloody one then!" With that he snapped his phone shut and resumed tucking into his noodles.
Chewing lightly on a mouthful of noodles and cabbage Chun-li stops herself short of cursing and frowns instead. Of course Kane may not even need to meet anyone in public, if he is in contact with them instead over phones and no time or opportunity to tap or trace the signals. She raises a her arm and one of the large spiked bracelets closer to her mouth, as if covering a cough. "Subject received a call on his cellular phone, I'm going to move in closer." she quietly clears her throat and drops her hand back to her side.
None of the passers by seem any the wiser as she rejoins the crowds and slowly makes her way down the street, stopping only to feign interest in one or two of the other vendors but winding up creeping much, much closer. Trying to compensate for the industry, crowds and motor vehicles in the street forces Chun-li to be standing just a few feet away from the British gangster, she leans against the mouth of the alleyway just a few feet away and spares a glance for him and the No-smoking sign adorning the back of his jacket before returning to apparently plucking at the boxed meal in her hands.
Billy looked up from his meal and narrowed his eyes a bit as Chun-Li started to draw closer. A fighting presence? Close, but not hostile. Billy snorted again. Probably nothing, it's the middle of China, no sense getting worked up over an elevated chi...
He took another loud slurp from his noodle bowl. The soup wasn't half bad, he's had better, he's had worse. Still though this asian market could really use a decent fish and chippy, or better yet some Brazilian barbecue from Pao Pao, he was really craving it now. The sooner he was back in Southtown the better. Billy took a moment to glance about, making eye contact briefly with Chun-li as she observed him across the way. Oi, his eyes spied a lovely little Chinese birdie there didn't they? Billy chuckled to himself and turned back to his meal. That's one thing that would help this dreary day go by..
Chun-li slurps and chews modestly on a mouthful of noodles, pained as she listens to the Englishman slurp his own noodles noisily. A brash peddler walks up to her and espouses the merits of his wares, thrusting a cheap pendant into her face and turning it this way and that instructing her in the merits of its craftsmanship. Nervously she glances at Billy Kane worried about the commotion and carelessly hands over the wrong denomination of notes, far too much.
The peddler now grinning from ear to ear reacts with a explosion of enthusiasm, trying to sell her even more at 'discounted prices.' Twisting up inside as the situation gets worse Chun-li has drawn far too much attention and additional hawkers are making a beeline for the now growing commotion.
"Tch, Making my move."
Chun-li drops the meal and chopsticks but is already around the corner of the alleyway heading away from the gathering before the carton has a chance to land on the pavement, peddlers now gawking at the woman running away from them. As Chun-li runs past Billy at the noodle stand her hand snakes out and grabs the cellphone sitting on the bench and she dashes away down the alleyway, fists and arms pumping and moving at a very fast clip.
Billy's eyes go wild as Chun-li pumps past him in a blue blur, noodle fragments falling from his mouth as he turns and screams after her. "Oi, totty nicked me mobile, mate!" (haha couldn't resist) Leaping to his feet, Billy started after her, cursing her amazing speed as she rocketed across the street. A few vendors doddered about in Billy's way as he surged forward, and the thug crashed through them like a bowling ball. Cries of anguish erupted from the crowd as bruised entrepreneurs were scattered onto their asses, one man dropping a large crate of eggs, adding tremendously to the mess and the chaos. Quickly seeing that the young woman was going to easily outpace him Billy callously body check's a young man off of his scooter, sending him spiraling through the air like a rag doll before landing on a laundry cart. The scooter thrummed and coughed to life as Billy jumped onto it, revving the throttle at full blast right away, causing the engine to whine and belch oily smoke as it lurched forward, quickly shortening the gap between him and the plucky cop. "Just wait till I get me hands on ya!" Whether this girl was just an opportunistic thief or something more, that phone was too valuable to lose.

Focused on the task at hand Chun-li fights the urge to look back at the startling noises and shouting going on behind her. Turning sharply up one of the alleyways up ahead of Billy she runs just a short distance further, slowing to a walk and irritatedly bouncing the mobile on the palm of her hand she settles down to wait for Billy Kane to catch up. The dark haired woman in the blue and gold breathes out a sigh at this turn of events going so far as mentally give herself a stirring lecture as the sound of the scooter approaches rapidly.
Openly displaying the cellphone she once again stands in the very centre of the alleyway, The very image of someone waiting patiently with her arms folded below her breasts and cellphone tucked into the crook of her arm.
Billy skidded the scooter into the alley, nearly careening into the wall as he did. His strong frame looked ridiculous on the tiny vehicle, and this only served to inflame his anger. He's a bit taken back by Chun, standing defiantly near the opening of the alley, he was very much expecting her to be fleeing at top speed, the show of patient defiance was not expected at all. Still though, he sneers, scowling at the Chinese woman as he yells. "Oi! What was that all about birdie? You better be ready to hand that back and pay for my spilled meal while you're at at it!" That was a laugh, like he had paid to begin with, still it sounded good...
lowering her hands to her side Chun-li bows apologetically "Mister Kane, I apologise for the nature of this meeting." the Chinese woman offering that in a sincere manner. and introduces herself promptly, "My name is Xiang Chun-li."she raises the hand holding the cellphone insinuating it into the conversation and cheerily speaks "I regret that I cannot return this to you." and tucks it back into the crook of her arm.
"Mr Kane, I am an I.C.P.O investigator" she adds waits a beat for recognition and then adds "I am with Interpol" to clarify. "And... I am afraid you are under arrest on numerous charges, the full extent of which I suspect we may even be aware of. Just yet" The woman had hardened considerably while discussing her role as an Interpol agent and she seems to be none to happy with the current outcome.
Miss Li falls silent allowing time for Kane to process all the information while she looks at him levelly and makes no movements bar the gentle swaying of the fabric of her dress in the breeze.
The woman's cool and hard demeanor seemed to take a bit of the bluster out of Billy's sails. Still, he smirked and stepped up from the scooter, letting it clank as it fell to the wayside. The Brit adjusted his collar and brushed dust from his sleeves before looking at Chun and speaking. "So. You're a copper. Hmph." He folded his arms. "Explains why you drew me over here to talk eh? Didn't want any bystanders getting hurt if things got rough? I can appreciate that, I really can...Still though, you're out of luck Miss Li. I don't talk to coppers..." He took a small step forward, his posture still relaxed and exuding no menace..yet, but still the warning was there. "Now if you just hand me back the phone maybe we can pretend this gaffe of yours didn't happen.." What was with this woman? The interpol chief for this region already collected his bribe...This woman must be one them principled types..
Chun-li quirks her head to the side, mouth twisting into a grimace and eyes widening in almost a pout as being called a copper and gives her head a disbelieving shake "I guess that is a 'No' to coming quietly then?" Her tone crisp and disappointed as she reaches around behind and tucks the cellphone into the sash worn around her waist.
Fists on hips she glowers at him, clearly unamused by the language and the attitude to what should be a dire and rather serious situation.
Billy whistles softly. "Guess you must be one of those rookies who don't understand how things work. I'm Billy Kane, and I'm much more important than you, much more important than your boss, or his boss, or even his boss. All of whom have already had their palms greased already by the way, so even if you do bring me in, which you won't be able to, you're not going to get a medal for getting me, tch."
He turns his head and spits on the ground, sneering all the while. "Nope, they'll be so mad that you're bucking the status-quo...You'll be lucky to get out of it with your job still intact..Think on it." Billy's eyes burned straight into Detective Li's as he spoke. "Now, one last chance little birdie..." His arm outstretched with a grasping hand. "The phone. Now."
Chun-li files all of that information away without even batting an eye, her tone level she simply adds with a resigned tone "You are probably right, You will undoubtedly be free again just hours later. But that will be all the time needed to undo much of what you came here to do, and to prosecute many of those networks who aided you." Her mouth twitches into a smile "Which, I doubt very much -your- Boss will thank you for." the smile dials up in wattage as she adds "But perhaps I am wrong there as well, there is no call to be quite as.. executive in my line of work. I don't know how failure is rewarded in your world."
Billy gritted his teeth so hard they audibly creaked as she continued her confident defiance. His eyebrow was starting to twitch now with anger and he spat, "Fine...You want to play it hard, we can play it hard...That's no skin off my back!" He flicked forward one arm, producing the folded up 3-section staff that was hidden there. The chain rattled joyously as the individual sections whirled free before snapping together as a solid bo staff with a clank. The Brit launched into a short but highly flashy Japanese bo fighting kata before setting the staff into a jaunty spin in one hand.
"Now I don't like making a habit of hitting women, love. But seeing as how you a coppa, that makes you hardly qualify as a woman in my book...So I guess I won't be losing any sleep then!" The spinning bo-staff was starting to make a whistling sound as it got up to speed. "Right right, en garde little birdie!"

Raising both of her hands in to an en garde position, Chun-li appears relaxed and balanced, with one hand tightened into a fist and the other open palm she widens her stance by stepping forward. The whole time her eyes never leaving Billy Kane for a moment, wary of the staffs reach in the narrow alleyway as well as his reputation as a fighter.

The whirling staff suddenly came to a halt as Billy made the first move juking first to the left, then the right, trying to keep his opponent as off balance as possible right off the bat. He didn't know much the woman's abilities but if she was that fighting presence he felt earlier she could possibly be trouble. Plus, 'fighting fair'? That wasn't even in the playbook for Billy! The blonde fighter leaped up the side of one alley wall, his foot digging into the edge of the brick to launch him in the air over Chun-li and he thrusted his staff in a straight shot towards her. At first it seemed like the staff would fall short in range by a large margin, but just as he extends the staff, it breaks apart, 3-sections coming loose at once with the end flying toward Chun-li's face at lethal speed.
"Eat that, COPPAAAAHH!!!" Came his battle cry.

Watchful of the figure as he leapt takes a half step backwards mindful of the staffs range, during the moment of the thrust she realizes the danger, wrenching be body backwards and throwing arm her arms to block it crashes painfully against her forearm.
Chun-li lets out a cry as she recoils backwards and one arm drags she holds the forearm painfully but opens and closes the fist and slowly raises it once again.
Both hands coming together as she raises them she leans into and propels her body forward, bent at the hip with a cry of "KIKOUKEN" as the blue projectile gathers and fires from her hands.

Billy smirked as he landed from his jump, he knew that blow to the arm had to hurt, it was solid...Still though, to react so fast, the girl had to have /some/ talent. His red staff let out a furious rattle as the 3 pieces assembled into solid form again. Billy almost didn't turn around soon enough to react to the blue ball of crackling chi that rocketed towards him. In a quick desperate move, he swatted the chi blast with his staff, literally batting it away so that it collided with a far wall, the strain and impact from doing so rattling his teeth, but leaving his body unharmed.
"Chi manipulation...Wasn't expecting that action from an Interpol grunt now...Perhaps this would be interesting!" Pressing the attack, Billy charged the officer, leading with his staff, closing into point black range before launching an uppercut with his weapon, aiming the tip of it at the underside of her jaw, aiming to send the girl flying off her feet. "Heeeyah!"

Chun-li takes a solid blow to jaw, enough to dim the light in her eyes and be twirled around by the impact so she falls to the ground heavily and stirs only after a second. Pushing herself back into a kneeling position and with a grunt of effort she gathers her legs under herself and unsteadily climbs back to her feet, even though she's clearly breathing hard now and in a lot of pain. Raising both hands back into the same stance she also just as clearly hasn't given up.
Running at Billy she suddenly vanishes, up and over in a high leap aiming to put both boots right across the back of his head.

Billy laughs cruelly as he sends the woman scrabbling back into the dust with his harsh blow. He's almost about ready to call it a fight when she stumbled back onto her feet, although she was a little worse for wear. "Haven't you had enough young chicky? I think perhaps this police thing isn't working for ya. Have you looked into waitressing? Fresh faced lass like you could get lots of tips..."
With that Chun-li launches her assault, the deft leap leading into an acrobatic kick into the back of his head...It was just like that, seeming like she disappeared from view right before the attack initiates. Fortunately for Billy, and unfortunately for the young Interpol officer, he wasn't born yesterday, and this certainly wasn't his first fight. What to do when your opponent disappears from view? Why, attack in every direction at once! That's what!
"Heeyaaaaaaahhh!!!" Billy screams out another battle cry as he defends himself with his staff, spinning it around in a crazy whirlwind in every direction, the staff blurring as it spirals around so fast, covering every avenue of attack at once. The staff catches Chun-li on the side, sending her sprawling as she makes her attack, although her foot does graze Billy on the temple, knocking his head to side and tearing his bandanna loose as well.
Knocked out of the air Chun-li lands awkwardly coming down hard on her soulder and back and bouncing on the concrete pavement but coming back onto her feet and maintaining that same low posture her eyes light up with rage, insult and lucky blow after lucky bow the man is more monster than and mortal has call to be. Her lips pull back as she spits out "HOU-sen-KA" time seeming to dilate as she forces her body to move, sliding forward with one foot a veritable wall of kicks.

Chun-li's rage seems to increase her fighting ability to dangerous levels, and when she surges forward with her relentless attack it is all Billy can do to keep up his defense. The first few lightning kicks are blocked by his staff but it is soon battered aside, her feet shooting forth in a frenzy, battering him into submission before her hypercharged spinning legs launch him into the air. Perhaps Billy spoke too soon about the woman's vocation?
"Aaargh!" He screamed as the relentless legs pummelled him even in the air. "Fucking...bollocks!" The final, full body kick sent the man sailing straight upward, still amazed at the sudden display of strength. Even as he is smashed into the air, however, Billy still tries to lash out with aggression, his staff in 3-sections flailing wildly, trying to thwack at the woman in revenge, no finesse or skill being used at all.

Gently spiralling down towards the earth after her assault Chun-li is unable to dodge and can only cross her forearms in front of her torso in the vain attempt to protect herself from the attack. Upon landing she wobbles unsteadily and that same arm Billy had struck earlier drops and hangs loose, a thin red rivulet of blood working its way down the bare arm, but she isn't done quite yet.
Dropping into what seems a runners crouch she watches the still airborne Billy and puts on even more pressure rising to greet the descending mobster with a series of spinning kicks travelling right back up towards.

Billy descends after Chun-li, his body twisting into a safe fall posture as he regains his composure. The cop landed a lucky hit is all, but now it was time to end these shenanigans. As Chun-li rises up with her spinning kicks Billy brings his arms up in an 'X' guard, each blow feeling like a battering ram but luckily crashing against his block and sparing his internals. The force of the blows send Billy sailing away, and he back flips to dampen the kinetic force before landing on his feet roughly. He spits again, this time the wad of saliva is tinged with a bit of blood. "Alright chicky, this has gone on long enough...Time to die!"
With that Billy sends his staff forward in straight jab again, the 3 sections coming apart again in a lighting speed stab. This time however, the tip of the staff glints with gathered chi and it will explode with fiery force with whatever it comes in contact with. "Heeeeeeerrryaaahhh!!!"

Eyes defiant yet body struggling to continue Chun-li moves into action with the taunt running parallel to the incoming axis of attack, closing the distance between the two fighters. At the explosive moment Billy unleashes his attack she slips sideways and slaps at the extended cane with a ridge hand. Her leg comes up in a torrent of kicks as she exclaims "YA YA YA YA" with the series of successive blows.

His eyes go wide with incredulity as the heroic woman slaps his signature attack aside like it was an annoying mosquito. Unfortunately, with his staff fully extended it leaves Billy almost defenseless, and when he draws back to attempt his Water Dragon defense he can't move fast enough, Chun-li closes the distance easily, pummeling his torso with another round of lightning legs before sending him sprawling to the concrete. He coughs and bashes his fist into the ground angrily before spitting out some more blood. "Dammit!"
Still.. not.. done.. Chun-li pushes through the pain, the arm hanging limp curls once more into a fist she forces herself forward at a run once again but feet before even coming close to Billy she throws herself forward into a handstand that brings a grimace to her face and yet she swings her legs outwards to and 'walks' towards billy mid handstand spinning her entire body like a rotor and a cry of "Spinning bird Kick"

Beaten to within an inch of his life, but not out by a long shot. Chun li approaches him, a tornado of brutal legs once again, but Billy shows surprising stamina as he vaults back up, even using his staff as a lever to launch himself into the air. He flies up towards an alley wall springing from it and stabbing his staff down again, seeing if he can recapture the success of his first volley in the battle.

running out of endurance Chun-li collapses under her own weight, panting with effort she watches Billy dodge and leap away into the air once again, that same move. The art of that strike no longer a mystery Chun-li waits until the very last moment to roll out away from the strike. Standing a short distance away serenely raising her hands back before her, hands ablaze with a familiar whorl of blue light "Kikouken!" she again projects her entire body forward, bent at the forward at the waist and releasing the sphere of blue energy.

A whip crack sound followed by a *twang!!* as the end of Billy's chain staff ricocheted from the ground at an acute angle. A wide miss! The girl was obviously learning, she wasn't going to fall for the same trick twice. However, Billy was learning as well. If she followed through with the same attack again, he'd have plenty of time to dodge rather than try to block with his staff. The Kikouken blast sailed over his head harmlessly as he ducked down, chest now heaving and panting, nearly all energy expended and his clothes smudged and in shambles. This wasn't looking good. "Miss...You've made this a very bad day for me a VERY BAD DAY.."
Angrily, Billy charged at her again, directly. His staff snapped into solid form with a flourish, and he swung the weapon at her full force. No style, no special manuever this time, just a hard fast swing designed to knock the policewoman down and keep her down.

Chun-li, unsure of wether she can trust her legs to let her stand once again steps backwards out of range swaying away form the blow, the draft form its passage whipping at the ribbons in her hair but then steps in again grabbing at the front of Billy's jacket and trying to throw him to the ground.

Billy grunts as his hard swing is easily side stepped, but as Chun steps up with arms out stretched he hunkers into defensive posture. Her hand find purchase on him, but unfortunately instead of grasping onto him she finds herself holding onto the staff instead, looking right into his smirking face. "Got you now, love!" Billy spins the staff hard, with her still holding onto it, the side sections come lose, tangling up Chun-li's arms before sending her spinning onto the ground.
Crashing to the ground with shrill cry "Kyaaa" and audible crash Chun-li trembles and jerks as she struggles even attempting to stand once again, more impressively she manages to do it though there’s little sign of life in her eyes just determination and guts keeping her off the ground. Admittedly, the woman getting back up even after all that punishment, was an amazing feat. Still, she was probably seeing double as she launched into her desperate attack. Billy, even as ragged as he was, was able to sidestep the attack with ease. Hoping to put an end to this nonsense he slides his staff down at an angle, not even swinging it, merely putting it in Chun-li's way in an attempt to trip the poor girl and put her flat on her face again. "There you are love.."

Half rolling her body sideways is all Chun-li can do to avoid the incoming strike and it works, swinging her own leaden arm up at Billy's face is the only response she can muster, not even really moving much more of her body that lifting her arm and rolling her shoulder back to throw that punch right at his his British gob.

"Oof!" Billy snarls in pain as his forearm catches the blow. He wasn't expecting her to hop scotch over his extended staff like that at all. Even at the limit of endurance, and slammed with as much pain as she had suffered, Chun was still a world class fighter, that was clear.
"AAAAAAAARGGH! You're dead COPPA!!!!" Billy screams at the top of his lungs as he digs into the last of his reserves, spinning his staff so fast that it disappears from view. The tip of it ignites into a blaze and he launches the whirling mass of incandescent chi directly at her. Time to show the lass some love, Johnny Cash style, in the form of a burning ring of fire...

Enduring the fiery assault Chun-li still shows some signs of life despite the damage taken, either she had blocked against the attack can't even be told by the sheer amount of fire involved but she is certainly badly hurt. Gritting her teeth and with more an grunt of pain than effort she slides her body forward with a jerk and kicks at the back of his knee to drop Billy down to her own level, but its all she has far beyond the point of measuring. Eyes closed she's out for the count and from the approaching wail of sirens she didn't have backup that far off.

It took him everything he had, but in the end, Billy's mighty rod was more than a match for the 'strongest woman in the world'. The last lashing kick was too slow and clumsy to be effective, and Billy moves his leg just in time, but only just.
Leaning now on his staff heavily, Billy trudges over to the fallen woman warrior. The thuggish Brit kneels down on his haunches, rudely and unceremoniously reaching into Chun's dress, digging for that mobile. "I'll have that, mate..."
Billy had the phone back now, but the crowd was gathering outside the alleyway, and more gawkers meant more problems if he was going to keep his presence in China low key. Being caught in a dark alley with a beat up Interpol officer wasn't going to look good on the rap sheet. Time to book. Billy pole vaulted up and leaped from alley wall to alley wall as he made it to the rooftops and safety. Stupid coppas, on the trail. It wasn't going to be pretty but looks like he had no choice but to get the big boss on the horn...The day wasn't going to get any better it seems.
