Description: While preparing for a Capoeira demonstration in the country where it originated, the young phenomenon known as Momoko is encountered by a strange witch in shades. What will become of this? (Winner: Draw)
Capoeira is a fighting style that originally came from Angola, but it primarily made its debut in Brazil, because of Angolan slaves who brought it there. It was a style that was disguised as a form of dance to keep their style hidden from the average person's eye. As a result, it is not only a beautiful style of art that is fun to watch, but it also provides a useful style of self-defense. There are several fighters on the street fighting circuit who use this style, and one of them happens to be Momoko.
She's only twelve years old and acts like a child, yet she is quite a sensation in Japan, with her style of Capoeira mixed with... of all things, Psycho Power! So it's no wonder that she's managed to make a trip to a Theatro Municipal to give a show of her style of Capoeira in the country of origin.
For now, Momoko is onstage, warming up as she prepares for her performance. She smiles widely at everyone as she loosens up, seeming very happy about this chance to visit the home of her style of fighting.
It wasn't far from the states, but a trip, a pilgrimage like this was certainly odd. Wandering places was really a lot more her style than she wanted to let on, but the woman in red for once was on a mission. Not hers, no the mission was from another woman accompanying her. A black haired woman.
"If you're going to learn anything, you need to experience things. " The black haired woman says, then pauses, "Also, it would help if you remembered them."
The one in red, currently munching on a lollipop raises her brows way above her shades, "Huh? No way, I totally have a great memory."
"No you don't." Replies the woman in black, "You wouldn't believe you knew anything about how to handle a stick..." She gestures to the broom the woman in red holds onto,
"And insist you've never used your power to defend yourself. Despite proof!" She sounded almost irritated.
"Aww, man, I'm telling you that wasn't me. I've never even heard of these tournaments."
"King of Fighters? Shinku, World warrior. Just to name a few. You really are hopeless."
Pouting, the woman in red responds, "Aww, don't be all like that, I came here right? To experience foods of the world."
"No, to experience styles of the world. Honestly, we need to find something that motivates you."
The woman in black points to the stage, "Take this demonstration, you should volunteer to help."
For the time being, Momoko doesn't initially notice the way that there are two people talking backstage. She's more interested in doing her warm-up exercises and occasionally waving to the fans who come in to take their seats. Honestly, she doesn't mind warming up in front of them. Momoko loves seeing all of her fans being able to see her show off her skills.
Then Momoko turns and sees two people talking. "Hey, who are you?" She asks, sounding more like she's eager to know if they're here for the show instead of being surprised that there are people back there. "Are you here for the show too? Are you going to do Capoeira also?"
"Ahh what?" asks the woman in red, but the black haired one cuts in,
"Why yes dear, the show, this one here, " She gives the woman in red a shove forward, "Is interested. She thinks she's never seen capoeira, but she has, I thought perhaps she could have a little reminder and since the moves look better with someone to demonstrate on, why not take her as a volunteer?" The woman smiles unsettlingly and the woman in red looks unsettled,
"Ah, hold on, I'm ah, volunteering to do what exactly?"
"Dance." Replies the woman with black hair.
Relieved the woman in red says, "Oh right, dance, okay, I can totally do this."
"I'm sure you can do it!" Momoko says cheerfully. "Capoeira's easy to do once you know what you're doing!" She adds with a big smile. "Just, those boots might be too hard on you..." She shrugs and takes a moment to stretch her arms a few times while counting out loud, still smiling.
"So, who are you? What's your name? I'm Momoko, and I'm from Japan!"
"Naerose, Naerose Delphine, I'm from New Mexico. Oh and I have this..." She clutches her broom stick close to her chest and while it maybe out of the ordinary, the woman in black just steps back and lets her go on with her eccentricities.
"So... Are going to.." asks Naerose, looking like she'd rather be someplace else, perhaps a lunch bar.
"Wow, you're a witch, huh?" Momoko says while jumping up and down. "Wow, I never knew witches really did exist, Miss Naerose!" Then Momoko notices that broom and she wows at it. "You can fly with your broom? That's amazing! I'd love to see you do that!"
"Ah, hahaha, yeah." She scratches her head and looks over her shoulder to be saved, but she isn't being saved, she's alone with Momoko, more or less,
"Well I mean, I Totally can and it's really cool, I'll show you sometime, right? Yeah. so .." She shifts her weight a little and asks, "What exactly are we doing here.. I mean gong to do here?" She tries to say the name, "Cap-ee-o--ka? Is that like a pudding?"
"No, Miss Naerose, it's CAPOEIRA!" Momoko replies, giggling a little at the mispronounciation. "It's a martial arts style that's based off traditional dances from Brazil!" With that, Momoko starts doing the ginga, which is the side-to-side dance-like stance of practitioners. "It's really cool, and Momoko is no kiddly-diddly when it comes to how it's done! I have a special kind of... uh... it's called..." Momoko pauses for a moment, then says, "Ohh yeah! It's Psycho Power that gives me my extra edge!" She grins at Naerose. "Isn't that great?"
"You mean you're insane?" Asks Naerose, but the woman with black hair intervenes and says, "Psycho power, you know what it is, but I suppose some things you have to rediscover." She sighs.
"Okay, so psycho power which I know what is." Naerose says as if now it makes perfect sense, "And you're going to show me this Brazilian.." She pauses, "Wait, we're going to fight?"
"Yep." The black haired woman says.
"Insane?!" Momoko suddenly gets angry. "Momoko's not insane! If you think that's the case, Miss Naerose, then you're the one who's insane!" Momoko goes a little faster in her ginga, but then slows down, realizing that getting angry isn't going to help her here. Instead she grins and says, "Since you're here, Miss Naerose, and you think that Momoko's crazy, then I'm afraid you're gonna have to be taught that Momoko knows what she's doing!" She drops down briefly in a bowing like stance, apparently a traditional greeting before fighting in Capoeira. "I'm ready when you are!"

"Ready to what exactly?" Asks Naerose, who seems to be not catching on just yet, still she brings her broom up in a natural guard position and despite feigning ignorance, she seems to know what she's doing.. at least as so far as handling a broom is concerned. Turns out she's no dancer at all, which is good enough for the show.
"All right, Miss Naerose, it's time to get this going!" Momoko says, continuing to move swiftly in her ginga. "I may look small and like I'm dancing around, but be warned, Momoko's no kiddly-diddly!" She does a couple of somersaults towards Naerose, and then leaps into the air, attempting to deliver a swift sideways kick to Naerose's side.

"What?" Asks Naerose while just getting the kick to not hit her and then responding with a "Waaa!" It does glance off, but some fancy broom work makes the glancing kick far less of a problem than getting hammered by kicks.
"Okay, that's ah, going to be a problem.. But I bet your fancy dacy can't get past a broom in full swing!" She says and swings her broom at Momoko.

"Ohh noo, Momoko can't get past a broom!" The dancer comments as she twists herself sideways while deflecting the broom away. "But she can move it away!" Momoko then lands and resumes the ginga. "Not to mention, Momoko's willing to go upside down if need be!" She drops into a one-handed handstand, then sends a kick towards Naerose while falling back into her standing position.

Naerose is knocked back some, by the kick from a hand stand, but manages to maintain herself even so, "Oh right, that's pretty neat." She comments, actually seeming to enjoy the show, even from her vantage point. "But what you umm, got past once, I mean. oh nevermind." She tries to fling a strand of thread at Momoko to snare her and then send a jolt of chi through it.
"This one won't miss."

"That's what you think!" Momoko says with a big grin as she attempts to roll underneath, but her timing is way off. The broom hits her and literally sweeps her off of her feet. Of course, once she hits the ground, she manages to roll back onto her feet smoothly and resume the ginga. "Wow, Miss Naerose, you're good!" Momoko says grinning. "I think I'm gonna enjoy this1"

Hanging back the red witch is like, huh, "Well, okay, here.. Take this!" She moves over toward the dancer and tries to poke her with a quick broom attack, "Show me your neat moves now then, that's really quite a show." She's hardly taking it like a fight and more like an exhibition.

"Ohh no, you take THIS!" Momoko says as she does a quick somersault and spins around into a handstand, bringing her heels towards Naerose in a one-two kick using the heels of her bare feet to strike Naerose... just as Naerose strikes her as well. So Momoko falls down to the ground, but recovers quickly. As she gets back up, she looks to Naerose with a big grin. "I gotcha!" She brags.
"Ohch!" exclaims Naerose, but she tries to get an extra strike in maybe when Momoko isn't on guard. Probably thuogh.. She's on guard,
"Gotcha!" exclaims Naerose, who may or may not actually have anything. She tries to do a quick kick on the smaller fighter to try and knock her upside the head or something.

The kick is aimed at Momoko's head, so Momoko attempts to knock it away with some success... although it does hurt a little. "Wow, that was pretty good Miss Naerose! But let's see if you can handle this!" Momoko does a quick flip and attempts to wrap her legs around Naerose's neck and then bring her down to the ground.

"Woah, where is that even coming from?" Asks Naerose while she gets tossed and then ends up having to pick herself up and dust herself off a little, "Man, this is a really neat thing you're doing but, I'm still totally like confused." She tries to grab Momoko and just flinger her back,
"Seems to waste a lot of movement or something."

Momoko sees the attack coming from a mile away, and is ready for it when it comes at her. When she's flung into the air, Momoko quickly recovers and drops into her fighting stance again. "This is a lot of fun!" Momoko says as she looks at Naerose. "Don't let up!" She says as she slows down her ginga to catch her breath.

"Umm, okay." Naerose replies and charges in to try and finish with a second fling, this time more of a trip and shove deal, not really using her broom for a moment. She quickly says,
"Are you getting tired or something?" Looking like she didn't expect her to tire out that quickly.

I'm not tired, I'm just sustaining myself so I can keep dancing!" Momoko says, before being caught and flung across the stage by Naerose. She rolls swiftly, but shows a little signs of pain as she does so. "Although, Miss Naerose, you're a rather strong lady!" Momoko says as she dashes at Naerose and says, "But watch out! Because I'm coming again!" Then Momoko leaps at Naerose and attempts to deliver a series of interconnected kicking techniques in a flurry of nonstop attacks.

"I just can't.." She says, looking like the kicks are rather effective.
"Okay.." She says, wiping her mouth." Lets see what happens if I do this..!" She exclaims and charges forward to try and knock Momoko on the head with her broom.

"Watch it with that thing!" Momoko says, slightly frowning a little as she knocks the broom away. "You're gonna hurt me with that! I thought you were supposed to fly with it, Miss Naerose!" Apparently, Momoko is getting a bit frustrated, since she attempts to hit a bit harder with her foot as she kicks at Naerose's stomach.

"I said afterwar- oof!" She takes teh kick to the stomach and then rubs at her stomach before holding out her palm, just trying to get breathing room she says,

"Momoko was demonstrating, yes... how it's a fighting art!" Momoko says, and then she gets hit by Naerose and is knocked across the stage and lands flat on her stomach. She looks like she's out for the count, but then she suddenly rolls forward and gets back into ginga... at least what could be a ginga, since the last hit seems to have dazed her a little. "All right, I think it's time I showed you my favorite move!" Momoko takes a deep breath and begins to focus her energies within her. And if she succeeds in fully charging, she'll let fly with a large energy beam that Naerose might want to look out for!

Well that was unexpected. The red Witch seemed to think she was going to be treated to a dance show and instead is blasted by something that knocks her back and all she can say is,
"Waaait I thought you were going to dance!" And then tries to charge in,
"Alright, I'll give you this again, Waah!"

"That's Momoko's secret ability for when she's in danger!" Momoko says somewhat weakly, jumping over the broom. "And in this case, Momoko thinks she's going to be knocked out unless she keeps fighting!" She then drops to the ground and rolls towards Naerose, attempting to strike her with her rolling attack.

"Nooot yet!" exclaims Naerose, before going in for another attack,
"Here we go, this is going to be the end.."
She creates a javalin of ice in mid air and points it at Momoko, before the chi flings the projectile through the air.

"Wow, that's cool!" Momoko says, not realizing that she just made a REALLY bad pun, before rolling underneath it. "I didn't know you could do magic too, Miss Naerose!" She says, before attempting to take her down by doing a leg-lock into Naerose's legs and bring her down.

Getting caught off guard and being taken down is no laughing matter, but still Naerose can't help but laugh, "Cool! HAh!" She wipes a tear from under her shades and says, "Wowo ooff"
That hurt. "UGh, I don't want to keep this up, " She says, but raises her hands while sitting there anyway, "I should try one more attack though shouldn't I." And she does.
"En Criento En!" and she flings a torrent of energy at Momoko.

"I got this! I got it!" Momoko says out loud, but it hits her and knocks her down to the ground. At first she sits up, looking like she's gonna start crying... but then she grins, albeit weakly. "That was fun! I haven't had a good challenge like that in awhile, Miss Naerose! I hope you'll stay to watch the main event!" Then she collapses.
