Description: Ken and Cammy bump into each other in Southtown - some initial sickness on Ken's part fades away when he realises just who Cammy is, not that Cammy even knows that herself. A brief scuffle results in a ... draw? And the great question of whether Ken dyes his hair or not is still unknown!
Love, is a burning thing, especially when you're the undisputed master of firey uppercuts. Ken Masters WAS wandering Southtown in search of a gift to purchase for Eliza for Valentine's Day, however he's completely lost track of what he was doing, finding himself wandering aimlessly along the streets, something within the back of his head setting off every red alert within him. Paranoia seems to overwhelm him at times, especially as he finds himself lost within the many streets that populate the urban sprawl of Southtown..
Surpisingly enough, no one has bothered to try and stop him, to ask if he is infact Ken Masters, most likely as anyone who once was a fan is now terrified of coming near him. The exhibition match with Brihan and Carrol has done a number on his head, and even after he watched the replay footage, he still remains in disbelief that he was capable of performing that sort of attack upon an opponent.
Cammy is happily oblivious to any matches with Brihan and Carrol - have they even been aired yet? But in a somewhat ironic twist she actually does remember why she is here unlike Ken, in something of a role reversal. She also is looking for gifts, for You Know Who, and maybe even Vega as well. She isn't so sure if it's appropriate for Vega exactly, he is rather old after all, and love isn't really his 'thing' is it - or hers, for that matter - but the brainwashed Doll has to consider it at least.
Vega might get away with not being embarassed though as little keepsakes that have a Shadaloo skull as well as a heart on them are unfortunately for some reason hard to find on the streets of Southtown. Which explains why the cloaked Cammy is wandering the streets, looking for a jeweller, or a thief, or someone, anyone, who might be able to provide such a thing.
A cloaked figure sends every bit of the paranoia running into full speed in Ken's head. Unfortunately for him however, he doesn't have the chance to really lament in it as he's suddenly clutching his head, shaking violently from some unseen pain that has descended upon him. Whatever is going on in there isn't pretty, and it's been taking more and more of a toll upon the poor US Champion's mental fortitude. He slowly drops down to his knees, even as a slight crowd starts to gather around him.
Murmors start to spread out through the now growing crowd, with things like 'Is that.. Ken Masters?' "I wouldn't get to close! You weren't there to see what he did to that poor girl. I heard that she had most of her ribs broken." 'He's a monster. We should do the world a favor for what he did to that poor woman.'
Cue the heroic Cammy! Sensitive ears pick up the commotion, 'Ken Masters', 'monster', hmm, sounds like someone needs to sort this out like the local doll...
Actually maybe not, it's not like Doll Zero really gives a damn who Ken Masters has broken, so long as it isn't one of the very few people she cares about. But this does sound like information worthy of Vega's attention, and so the jeweller is left alone, the cloaked Cammy turning around and taking a few steps forward, to peer at the downed Ken from the front row of the circle now surrounding and watching him warily.
Mmm, isn't it Ryu who is supposed to go all nuts? she thinks. Her ribs heal fast, especially in one of Shadaloo's tanks, so she's not afraid to hang around and, er. See what happens.
In what seems to be a moment of clarity, he catches a brief glimpse of the face beneath the cloak. The person beneath it seems familiar, like he's met Cammy before? Is it possible he has? It's extremely difficult to figure out things like that when you're in the middle of a mental breakdown, but he does slowly start to rise to his feet.
There is a brief stumble as the crowd surrounding him starts to disperse, obviously dismissing the notion that it is infact Ken Masters, and is just some crazy look alike. Theres plenty of those, right? The cloaked figure however does maintain the US Champions attention, and he starts to make his way towards her, craning his head, trying to peak under the hood of the cloak and confirm that he does infact know this woman, even if it was a brief encounter.
"Cammy?"
Cammy does not remember ever meeting Ken - but him knowing her is not beyond all possibility. She's been on TV after all, and competed in the NeoLeague, and Ken runs the NeoLeague. She raises an eyebrow in the shadow of the hood of her cloak, and slowly nods. "Yes." the doll replies. "I am Cammy White.".
She raises her hands a little defensively when Ken draws near, the crowd around them already giving Ken a wide berth after the earlier display. It wouldn't do to be kicked in the face with her hands still in her pockets, after all. And in her experience right after giving her name a kick in the face isn't exactly unexpected.
"You.. were a friend of Ryu's right?" Now Ken's starting to remember. He has fought her before, and he did get letters from Ryu detailing most of the people he's met in his travels. "Yeah. We've also had a Neo League match before. You were with Delta Red, right?" It's all flooding back, but there's still that annoying feeling of something is wrong that he just cant' seem to shake.
"Are you okay?" The words seem more for his own comfort then Cammy's, however the sentiment is still there. He continues to move closer to Cammy, holding his right hand out towards her in greeting. "It's great to see you again. Have you seen Ryu at all lately? I haven't gotten a letter from him in a while, so it's a bit hard to see if he's doing okay or not."
Cammy blinks at Ken, and shakes her head. "...No." she says, eyes widening slightly. Adelheid did act like he knew her, as well! "I have never met Ryu. You must be mistaken.". As for her allegiance, she stays quiet about that, having read Ken's file, and knowing how he is likely to react to Shadaloo agents in the field.
"I... did mean to talk to you at some point..." she admits. "Something NeoLeague related. But I forget now. It does not matter. Are you OK?" she asks, tilting her head to one side as she peers up at him from beneath the hood, rest of her body motionless.
Her question is due to her being curious rather than being warm hearted, her flat voice implies.
"..Something's wrong. Ryu's talked a good deal about everyone he's met in his travels, and I know for a fact he's mentioned you." Ken stares at Cammy, instantly going on guard. He's heard rumors that Shadoloo has been moving about again, which does worry him slightly as both he and Ryu have been a pain in their necks for a long time now. He's also heard other rumors about possibly members of the organization. So its time for him to bluff and check to see just what is going on.
"It's a real shame that Vega's such an idiot. He'd be able to achieve his ambitions.. Well.. he could, if he wasn't such a loser. Then again, I guess that's why you were with Delta Red, right?" Ken knows how their brainwashing generally works. Make a target completely loyal and defensive of the big boss, and pretend that everything else doesn't work. He has his own information on things, and generally it isn't difficult for him to make a phonecall to a certain Interpol agent, or the broom-headed Colonel, or even that broom-heads best friend to find out the general goings on of the world outside his office.
Cammy doesn't know anything about this Delta Red, but she does know that Vega is the greatest man who ever lived. She also isn't completely stupid, so she doesn't immediately blurt out that she's his favourite assassin. She does look quite sour though, practically pouting at Ken, nose wrinkling, and has to say /something/. "He... cannot be that incompetent..." she says slowly. "Or he would be... already caught." she points out, entirely logically.
She stays quiet about things she does not like, and instead takes a step away, a thunderous frown on her face now. Ken's practically dissing her father after all, and she didn't even say anything to deserve that!
"Hmmm? I don't know about that. He's to afraid to come out into the open again I'd suppose. I mean, look at how many times he's been beaten down." Bingo. That little voice is practically screaming now as Ken reaches into his pocket to pull out a cellphone. A hastily typed text message is sent, and the phone is placed back in his pocket as he starts to slide into a fighting stance. "Tell me. Was it Shadoloo that caused that huge uproar in India not to long ago?" Yeah, he pays attention to the news and something about that incident was screaming badguys who have a power complex. Of course, this now means he's going to have to talk to that silly broom-headed brother in law of his, and he always loathes having to do that.
There is always the chance that Cammy will run off, and even if she does, there's still ways to find out just what in the world is going on with her, so he tries to bluff once more, knowing full well now that the poor doll doesn't have much of a poker face when it comes to Vega. "Delta Red was a name that Ryu gave me. Not to mention Guile and Chun-Li both mentioned it to me a long while back. So Cammy. How does it feel to know that Vega is off giving missions to assasinate world leaders to someone else, and you're off skulking around in Southtown? I guess he doesn't trust you all that much..."
Cammy shrugs, and shakes her head. "I do not know anything about that." she tells Ken, entirely truthfully. "Why do you think I would know?" she asks, trying to be innocent, mostly failing despite her cherub face of innocence. Brainwashed fanatics are very bad actors. "I never met Ryu." she insists.
And she shrugs when he suggests she is not trusted. "I do not know what you are talking about. I am having time off now. And trying to help my friend.". The suspicious nosewrinkle swiftly returns, it is true that Lord Vega hasn't given her much to do lately. But, that is because she skived KoF, quite deliberately, so really Lord Vega is just doing her a favour. Right? Unfortunately she learned long ago that Lord Vega does not react very well when the doll is being needy and paranoid. Thats why she has other friends. "I spend a lot of time with my friends. I do not see why this us your business though. You are not my friend.".
Definitely not, with his insulting Lord Vega like that.
"You know your face is giving you away right." Ken grins slightly as he closely watches the Doll's movements. He does start to slowly advance upon Cammy, making sure that if she tries anything, he'll be in range to counter it. "If you're not my friend, are you my enemy? Because the only enemy I have is Shadoloo, and if you're my enemy, then you're apart of Shadoloo."
Of course, if Cammy were to strike, she'd have lost her chance as Ken suddenly rushes towards her, knowing that his next move is going to be QUITE a gamble. He can either be randomly grabbing a person in the streets, or he can be capturing a Shadoloo operative. Either way, he knows that he'll catch no end of grief from his brother-in-law for even allowing this to pass. "Cammy. I know Ryu isn't mistaken, and your face is screaming 'Shadoloo Brainwashee Graduate'. So if I'm wrong, then I'll do my best to make it up to you. His hands move out as he tries to reach for the girl, hoping to grab ahold of her."

Cammy suddenly shucks off the cloak - the clasp comes apart easily for just such a Wonder Woman maneuver - and spins to one side when Ken tries to grab at her. "You should not do that! No grabbing me!" she tells Ken...
And rather than just try and dodge out of the way she tries to grab at his wrist as he reaches out for her and send him spinning down onto the alley floor. "Maybe I will be interested in your fighting data. We have never fought before after all." the doll muses, perking up a bit in anticipation.

Ken grins slightly as he feels Cammy grab ahold of his wrist. The outfit however is a dead giveaway, and a silent sigh of relief is given, especially as he's now fully positive about just where Cammy's current loyalties lie. In a stunning display of ingenuity, Ken is allowing himself to be lifted by the girl, only to grab ahold of her leotard at the last moment, his legs swinging upwards to grab ahold of the unsuspecting Doll.
His back slams into the ground harshly, however he's got ahold of Cammy, and he's only just begun, as he takes the momentum of her toss and uses it against her. In what seems to be a beautiful move, it's not really all that bad, especially as Cammy is released and sent flying away with a rolling toss.
Cammy goes flying - but she twists in mid air, like a cat, to at least land in a small ball, rolling backwards and eventually flipping back up to her feet. Which is preferable to going through a wall head first, at least.
Standing up straight, resplendent in her blue doll uniform, she edges forwards, towards Ken, blank blue eyes fixed upon him.
Turns out she isn't actually heading for him, though. She instead heads over to her cloak, which is now lying in a puddle of cloth on the ground, and crouches down, eyes never leaving him, to rummage around in it, drawing out a blue garrison cap. Balancing it atop her head, she gets back to her feet.

"You know, I was actually kind of hoping you weren't a Shadoloo operative. You're far to good looking to be hanging around with them." Ken knows now that the trash talk about Shadoloo manages to causes Cammy to become muddled with emotions, so he's going to continue to pour it on. "Tell me something? Did Vega tell you how he use to wet his bed when he was a tiny tyrant?" It's time to start making shit up, and hope to the gods above that it works.
However, while Cammy is sitting there trying to adjust her hat, Ken decides its time to make the hat go flying away, and what better way to do that then to send a blue ball of happiness right her way. "HADOUKEN!" Yeah, he knows that this might sting a little if it manages to hit.

Including /her/ body, but for some reason he never told her about that particular part of his Diabolical Scheme.
And when she sees a fireball coming in, Cammy has the perfect counter. She hops forward, spinning in the air, the hadouken flying past her to slam into the alley wall and do lots of property damage, and her fist jabs out at his midriff. "Yah!".

"Oh, he was a tiny tyrant, but I hear something else is rather tiny when it comes to him. Care to comment on that?" He extends his pinky towards the Doll, wiggling it slightly in her direction, that condescending grin of his never once leaving his face.
What a perfect distraction he's giving the poor girl, taunting her beloved master, and going out of his way to continually make her mad. "Oh look! Vega's right there!" He suddenly points behind the girl, not knowing if she'll actually fall for something as easy as that, but if she does, that'll make his next move all the more painful. He quickly rushes towards the girl, spinning in a half-cartwheel, only to bring his right foot down powerfully towards her collarbone. "Ryusen Kyaku!"

And just like Gozer the Gozerian she is a nimble little minx, leaping straight up into the air as he rushes towards her, foot outstretched, for his famous axe kick. "I know this move of yours!" she calls out as she flies through the air in a somersault...
...To land on his shoulders, fearsomely muscular legs wrapping around him. "haiiii-YAA!" the doll cries out as she cracks her body like a whip, snapping over to try and haul Ken to the ground.

There's this ground thing again, and it's playing tag at a rather painful level with Ken's body. A failed shoryuken while the doll was in the air means that the US Champion isn't in much of a state to really complain, but he does have to be careful now. Something is wrong with his body still, and already this early in the game he feels the onset of fatigue slowy starting to set in. It's time to change up his game plan.
Quickly getting to his feet and putting a little bit of a distance between himself and Cammy, Ken does grin slightly. A deep breath is taken as he slowly starts to allow himself to enter a trance-like state, knowing full well that the silly Doll may try and capitalize upon it.
He's hoping she will.
Cammy doesn't give the US master a chance to recover, she knows a man of his calibre will be over her like a shot if she gives him the chance! She pounces on top of him, and demonstrates one of the many uses of her exotic hairstyle. Not only do braids give her a balance advantage when doing her acrobatics, but...
...they dub as deadly weapons! Grabbing the tassle at the end of one of her braids, she tries to wrap the tip of it around his throat, and draw it tight, like a garotte!

Aww. Cammy's pretending to be Repunzel. It's kind of cute in a 'This woman is trying to kill me now.' kind of way. Of course, Ken does know that the fatigue is slowly starting to set in. His body isn't up to peak performance yet, and already he's having to fight someone that could manage to kill him if he doesn't take it carefully. So he decides to throw caution out of the window, and take a true chance.
"Vega sucks." The words are repeated over and over like some form of a mantra as he slowly starts to put himself to enter a trance-like state. He knows that all he's doing is putting Cammy into more of a rage, but this is the time to be epic, not cautious, and send Vega a message of 'Can't touch this!'

Cammy doesn't rage, not exactly anyway. She is annoyed, but the doll is quite glacially calm, despite all Ken's goading. Emotions are muted in the brainwashed, it seems. When she sees Ken going all quiet, attempting to meditate as he slips out of the hair-noose, the Doll is chasing after him.
Hopping forward, she twists 360 degrees in mid air, to land next to him, boots thumping into the ground, to jab out at him again with another powerful fist jab aimed at his midriff. Second time's the charm, hopefully.

This time, Ken knows he has Cammy where he wants her, and this time, he's going to start putting on the heat himself. Outwardly, he doesn't show any signs of pain or damage as the Doll slams herself into his chest, causing him to be sent stumbling backwards. This does however snap him out of the trance, having succeeded in finding himself no longer fatigued, and ready to go once again.
There is a brief moment for him to capitalize on his new found energy, and what does he do? He tries to go after the Doll once again with his most famed move.
"SHORYUKEN!"

Cammy is kinda half ready for the shoryuken, it is Ken's signature move after all! She quickly backflips away from him out of range, so Ken whiffs straight up into the air, leaving an afterglow of chi-flames!
Then the Doll steps back forwards again, having analysed this before, waiting for gravity to win, as it always does, and for Ken to return to earth. She's ready for him. She tries to hook her arms around his waist, and haul him backwards over her head in a vicious german suplex.

There's a slight grin on Ken's face as he goes slamming down on the ground, his muscles tensing up to endure the impact of the Doll's attack. "What's wrong Cammy?" Even as she has her arms around his waist, Ken is seemingly unphased by her attacks. "Want to try that one again? Or is your brain to muddled with thoughts of Lord Vega wearing a pretty pink tutu?"

"You are not very funny, Ken Masters. I do not understand why you resort to the humour of the schoolyard." Cammy lectures him. With her posh English accent she is very good at that! Even though she's probably not long out of the schoolyard herself compared to Ken.
But the little girl is no ordinary little girl, but a Doll! She's already hunting around for the next thing to do to minimise her pain and maximise his - and a convenient dustbin lid left in the alleyway would seem appropriate. She cartwheels over to it, grabs it, and hurls it at him, like a giant metal frisbee.

And now's the moment he's been waiting for. Ken neatly brings his arms up, causing the trashcan lid to slam into them instead of his chest, wincing slightly at the pain. Yep, now its starting to set in, but he has a special present for the Doll. One she can take home to Vega with her.
His body seems to go on autopilot as he suddenly rushes towards the girl, moving faster then he has been in the entire fight, as if he's been holding back on his speed. He drops down low as if he were going for another Shoryuken, but alas, thats not the case, as he spins upwards, bringing the fist towards her jaw like an uppercut, only to use the momentum to swing his legs towards the girl with powerful strikes. If all goes as planned, she'll be in for one good ride of her life as his right fist explodes with chi, moving to shoryuken her high into the air, massive trails of flames following after his body as he moves towards the heavens.

Ken, for whatever reason, seems to be quite tired - either that or he's being kind to the doll, for reasons Cammy does not know. She has seen Ken fight in the tournament, and she knows how fast he is - and right now, he's not that fast, even when he's trying hard! She sees the red glow blossom forth from his fist, and she knows that like a raging volcano this is something best kept away from.
And also she knows that jumping is not the answer!
She hurls herself backwards, staying low to the ground, so Ken goes flying up into the stratosphere again. Cammy waits for him to start coming down, and then hopes up into the air, looking to grab him, twist him around so that he's below her, and fall with him so he eats tarmac. Borrowing something from Zangief.

Oh no she didn't. Not even Zangief is allowed to get away with doing that, and Ken immedietly kicks away from Cammy the moment she tries to grab ahold of him. It doesn't take much longer then that to plant his feet firmly on the ground, and he's grinning slightly. "I just can't bring myself to get serious against you." His right hand rises up to run through his hair, only to make him start laughing loudly. "I give up. I can't catch you. I guess that's Vega's plan. Make his toys all really fast and make you feel bad for them." He grins slightly at the girl, only to act as if he were walking away. "So long Cammy. I guess you're not getting any new combat data out of me after all."

Cammy pffs at that. "I have combat data already! We have been fighting for several minutes now! And the combat data says... you must be getting old and slow.". The Doll is actually a bit confused, despite her words, a frown on her face, thinking something is up here. Either Ken was unlucky, or Ken is throwing the fight. "Are you just playing around with me? You will corrupt the data, if you do that!". No Fair.
She is happy to get the chance to back off, though... Playing with fire, she is. Chi-fire. Some time fairly soon she'll zig when she should've zagged, and then... it's gonna hurt. A lot. "Also, I will find out if you dye your hair. Maybe there will be blackmail potential.". Low blow as a parting shot!
She dashes over quickly to her fallen cloak and gathers it up, warily eying Ken, just in case.

She backs away down the alley, wrapping the cloak back around her once more. "Next time, I will be better." she promises, not planning on lingering too long as she vanishes down the alleyway. After all, Ken does not need to be next to her, to hit her.
