Description: Karin Kanzuki gets to try and make a new friend, and bribery with cheesecake is certainly a winning strategy. But it turns out her new friend can break ribs, oh my.
It's another day in the business district of Southtown, and Karin is out shopping yet again, because it's all sorts of fun, especially when Ishizaki is carrying all the stuff. Between this, the King of Fighters Tournament, and fighting various people in unsanctioned fights, there's all kinds of fun she's having.
Right now, though, she's somewhat bored, as she's done shopping and heading back to the limo, muttering, "I hope I can catch Sakura in the KoF tournament... I'd much rather test my skills against her than anyone else... Oh well..." Also, she sips on a diet soda. Siiip.
Cammy is in the business district herself, as in this part of Southtown all manner of luxuries can be found, and right now, she's in the market for some luxuries. She's followed Lord Vega's orders, she's visited Quon, she's even tried to follow up on the Who Robbed Howard Rust issue. It's time for some 'me time' now.
To that end, the red cloaked Doll is standing outside a rather swank cafe, hands in pockets, staring through the window. In particular, staring at some luscious looking cheesecake which is on display. She hasn't gone in there and scarfed it down just yet, as there have been a few quips back at the base about the dolls sweet tooth. Which is grossly unfair, given she's as thin and muscular as ever, but then the base is full of amoral psychopaths, and grossly unfair is what they are all about.
Karin spies the girl in the red cloak as she walks along the road, and for a moment eyes her, wondering what someone would be doing wearing a bright red cloak in the day time. Then she shunts the thought out of her head when she remembers that fashion in Southtown is just weird.
So she walks by Cammy without incident, or even paying her much of a second though. It's Ishizaki, who finds his attention drawn to the cafe with the cheesecake that suddenly finds himself tripping, due to his load of stuff being stacked way high, and he stumbles, balance lost and ready to crash into Cammy by sheer accident.
Cammy is quite fast - however, she's entranced by the lovely food in the window, and her attention is elsewhere. She half turns at hearing a commotion, and then leaps backwards - but gets caught by the clumsy Ishizaki on the way, a few buttons of her cloak tearing off as Ishikazi drops one of his heavy boxes right on her feet.
It's lucky that she's got steel toecapped boots on, as she tugs away from him, cloak opening somewhat to reveal one blue painted, scarily muscular leg before she swiftly draws the cloak about her again. WIth one hand clutching at her torn clothes, she shakes her head, with a frown, and a sigh. But why he stumbled is pretty obvious, given the massive load he's carrying, so she has some sympathy for him. "It's okay." the doll tells Ishikazi in her dead voice, much more interested in the food than in him.
Karin blinks as she hears to crashing behind her, and rolls her eyes a bit in annoyance as she turns about to glare at Ishizaki, and scolds him, "Ishizaki, really, you couldn't watch where you're going?" She sighs and rubs her forehead a little, before blinking as she actually pays attention to Cammy, and blinks for a moment as she notices how Cammy's cloak is somewhat open.
Karin narrows her eyes and takes a couple of steps to approach, asking, "Hey, you, are you a fighter of some kind?" She asks, curious, and now feeling somewhat fired up. She had never seen this woman before, and by the looks of her paint on her legs, the woman seemed military.
Cammy clings to her cloak with one hand so the body beneath it - and the uniform - is covered, and then turns, to focus upon Karin. Maybe she met Karin in the past, but thats all gone for the doll, so she has no idea who Karin might be, so she just shrugs. "I suppose." she admits, figuring that any reply other than 'wannabe fighter' or 'yes' would probably be assumed to be a lie.
"I am not competing in the King of Fighters tournament though, or anything quite so impressive as that.". A few Neoleague matches, and not many of those, are all that Cammy has been up to publicly lately. And she only attends them when she has some special reason to, normally. "I am just looking at the food at the moment.". And she indicates the cafe with a sweep of a hand.
All throughout her voice remains flat and dead, except at the end perhaps, where she sounds slightly aggrieved. Always being hassled when going about her business, is Cammy.
Karin just ignores Ishizaki for now, who seems to be getting up on his own now, and picking the stuff up, though she does tell him, "Take everything to the car, Ishizaki, I'll be with you in a bit." Ishizaki replies, "Of course, Karin-ojou-sama." And with that, he carries the stuff off, leaving Karin with Cammy.
Karin tilts her head a little, "You probably should enter next time. It's a great way to test you're skills. On that note, I am interested to see how well you can fight. I haven't fought anyone military before." An indicator that she did, indeed, notice Cammy's painted legs.
Cammy is the one who collects the fighting data! Of other people. Not of her. "Are you." she replies, and shrugs, noncommittal in the extreme. "I would need a team, and I do not like any of the teams." she points out. Actually, she does have a team, it just has Juri and Balrog in it, who she can barely stand the sight of. Especially Balrog, with his creepy touch. "I have better things to do than that, anyway. My skills are tested more than enough as it is. And I am not in any nations military." she clarifies, telling the truth while revealing very little. "Anyway. Who are you?" the doll asks, trying to turn things around so it's her asking the questions rather than answering them.
Karin blinks a little at the denial of being in the military, but doesn't think too much of it, instead smirking, "Well, I suppose I could be wrong. Anyway, I'm Karin Kanzuki, and I'd like to see what you're made of, because I'm always looking for someone to test my skills against." Her name would definitely ring a bell. Kanzuki. As in Kanzuki Zaibatsu. They are quite big in Japan, as much as Ken Masters is.
"So, what about you? Do you have a name?" She grins, "And if you give me a good fight, I'm more than willing to front up a seat in the Cafe."
Cammy is somewhat reluctant, but that sounds almost like she's about to be bribed with food. And clearly she's been hanging around Naerose far too much, as she's somewhat receptive to being bribed with food. "Hmmm. You have the same name as a big company." she observes, a little bit wary, it seems. She glances around the street, making sure there are no NESTS scumbags out there spying.
"Well. I suppose." she says, hesitantly. "I do not want you testing your skills on me right out here in the main road, though. This can be a dangerous city. Anybody could be out there. And there are very bad people in this place. And then, I will eat the cheesecake.".
Say one thing about Karin, she's good on her promises. She nods and replies, "Of course, I really hope it's not much trouble.." However, she smiles and fiddles with one of her hair antennas and replies, "That's right. My family runs the Kanzuki Zaibatsu. It's not often someone doesn't know who we are." She smiles and gestures to Cammy to follow. "Come on, let's find a good place to get fighting." Indeed, on the street can be annoying.
FIVE MINUTES LATER
Karin Kanzuki is standing across from Cammy in plaza, having taken the time to find a better place to fight than in the middle of the street, and stretches her limbs a bit, tugging her gloves on as she says, "Alright then... I didn't catch your name, would you mind if I knew who I was fighting before we start?" She smirks a little ready to rumble as she shifts stance.

Cammy licks her lips for a moment, before shrugging slightly. Really, she's been on TV at least a few times as she understands it, and even once that she remembers. And she is rather distinctive, so is there really any point in lying? "My name is Cammy White." the doll replies, casting off the red cloak to leave it in a puddle behind her, revealing not only the blue painted legs that Karin glimpsed earlier, but her blue Shadaloo uniform, as well, not to mention her epic hair. "I will wait until you are ready." she offers, standing there passive.
Karin smirks a bit as she soon stands ready and says, "I'm more than ready. Here we go!" With that, she dashes in towards Cammy and leaps in with a pair of one-two punch combo, followed by a straight kick to Cammy's middle.

Cammy is, however, lightning fast, and twists to one side when Karin dashes towards her, sliding past the offered fist and simultaneously moving right up to Karin, practically body to body. "Okay then." she tells Karin, as arms slide about her middle in a powerful grip, before suddenly heaving! the doll herself dropping onto the ground as she tries to haul Karin right over her head in a suplex.

Karin grits her teeth as she finds that Cammy has managed to slip right up to her and hauled her up into a suplex, Karin manages to pry herself out of Cammy's grip so that when Cammy releases to slam her down, Karin could roll with the throw and take much less damage. She smirks as she rolls back to her feet, and dashes in with a pair of thrusting palms, followed by a double elbow smash, "GUREN KEN!"

Cammy sees that those palms are particularly fast, so she doesn't actually even attempt to get out of the way this time - instead she raises her arms, shielding herself, still quick enough to block palms and elbows both, one defended by each hand.
Thens he backflips away. "You are quite good." the doll says, her voice even flatter and more toneless than it was earlier, her attention focused on the fighting, and on Karin, rather than on her ability to forge pleasant conversation.

"Thanks!" Karin says as she watches Cammy for a moment, before getting close and going in for a sliding kick, "You're not bad yourself!"

Cammy sees Karin winding up for that one, legs tensing, and it's pretty obvious she want's to get out of a concrete block smashing kick like that. The doll crouches down on all fours for a second, staring at Karin intently, before leaping suddenly off to one side, an incredible distance, much much faster than the kick.
She then hops back towards Karin, spinning like a top as she goes, to jab out at her with one fist at Karin's belly. "Yah!".

Karin is barely back on her feet when Cammy comes spinning at her, and smirks a little, ready to catch the incoming attack. Yasha Gaeshi was a good counter attack, surely she wouldn't---
And suddenly, Cammy's gloved spinning out fist driving into her gut, slipping in between her ready hands, and slipping back out. It didn't even hit -that- hard, but the quick strike resulted in Karin losing her breath as she grits her teeth, the pain in her abs spiking up immensely, causing her to nearly double over. "Wh--That... How..." If was that moment when she realized that she was in over her head, in what she had assumed was going to be an even fight as much as a friendly one... Well, it wasn't less friendly... Sorta, she grits her teeth and tries to get her focus back.
Cammy really is vicious when given the chance it seems, its like she was really trying to snap a rib then, or worse. But then, she does have that vaguely militaristic style, and the military tends to specialise in the brutal. "Sorry. That seemed to hurt quite a lot." the doll tells Karin. "I thought you would block it. Let me try something a little easier, I suppose." she offers.
The Doll jumps up into the air, forming a little foetal ball, and then comes down right onto Karin, trying to grab her and bowl her over in a tangle of arms and legs, though with the doll on top. Hopefully.

So Karin WAS right with her original guess. No civilian fights like that, even the well trained ones. Karin doesn't have even the time to lift her arms up block, as she gets unceremoniously leaped at and grabbed, before completely bowled over and slammed onto her back with Cammy on top.
Karin finds herself staring dazed, but she tries to shove Cammy back off of her, and growls as she says, "You... Who are you -really-? Don't give me that story about not military... You move like one, dress like one, and fight like one... What else could you be..?" There is one thought that occurs to her, but she dismisses it. It was incredibly unlikely to end up fighting someone from Shadaloo.
"Maybe... If I win I'll get the truth out of you!" As she suddenly tries to drive an uppercut into Cammy's jaw, before following after with a leap and a whirling swinging series of whirling palm strikes as she flies up, "KOU'OU KEN!"

Cammy cartwheels off to one side instantly, and in half cartwheel the acrobatic doll pushes off in another direction, turning cartwheel into a backflip, keeping on going until she is well away from those palms and kicks.
Eventually she comes to a rest, and shakes her head at Karin, braids dancing behind her. "I ... suspect that is not very likely. Not that that is your fault, of course. You are very game, and very young. And maybe even a little doll like. That may be useful to some. You want to be better at fighting, perhaps?".
Cammy stays put where she is, for now anyway. It seems a little harsh to kick Karin any more after all.

Karin ends up landing behind behind where Cammy was standing, and continues to struggle to remain standing, having staggered upon landing and grits her teeth, as she spins to face the blonde. It didn't make sense, Cammy couldn't have been older than Karin, and yet she fights like a pro, and it was scary. However, Cammy trying to be sympathetic grates on Karin big time, as she growls, and screams out, "Don't you pity me! RAAAGH!" She screams out and dashes in, thrusting out another series of palm thrusts, before driving up a high kick up for Cammy's jaw, "GUREN KEN - MUJIN KYAKU!"
Cammy actually smiles at that. "I hate pity too." she admits, though people who actually know Cammy, who might pity her, do so for rather different reasons for Cammy trying to be nice to Karin. "But I felt bad for cracking your rib!". The doll doesn't try to evade with another flip or display of acrobatic prowess this time, she charges at Karin head on, jumping up at the last minute to come at Karin boots first. "SPIRAL ARROW!".

Karin doesn't even get the first palm in, instead a pair of boots drilling into her upper body, and completely shutting down her momentum, as she gets sent flying backward and crashing back to the ground, her rib cracking asunder from the impact, and causing her to begin having difficulty breathing, and she finds herself breathing sharply, gritting her teeth as she lays in pain, while Ishizaki runs up and goes to check on her. "Karin-sama! Are you okay?!"
Karin grits her teeth as she stares up at Cammy, "I'm not... Done yet..." She tries to push herself up off the ground, but the pain in her ribs cause her too much trouble, as she slumps back.
Cammy pads over to Karin, light footed on her army boots, but somehow getting there well before Ishizaki does regardless. "Sorry about the rib." she tells the rich kid, squatting down next to her to talk. She doesn't haul her back to her feet, thinking that might be rather painful. "You are right, my style is at least based on a number of special forces techniques, and they can be hard to moderate at times." she explains matter of factly. "My apologies.". Especially as this means Cammy likely isn't going to get that food Karin promised now, damn.
Karin grits her teeth as Ishizaki carefully lifts her off the ground in his arms, feeling somewhat embarrassed by the need to be carried like that, and for a moment she watches Cammy carefully, perhaps even with a bit of hostility, before closing her eyes and her face softens a bit. "I guess it's just bad luck on my part... I've still got a ways to improve. Oh well..." Her lips curl into a smile, as she says, "Ishizaki, before we go, make sure that Cammy's meal at the cafeteria is paid for... I did promise a meal, after all." As though it were nothing.
Cammy did even volunteer some info there, for free! She only really talked about her style before with Quon, and that only because she was supposedly teaching him. Even if that turned out to last all of ten minutes.
"Thank you very much." she replies, never one to turn down free cheesecake. There's a special place in hell for those who waste good cheesecake. "Your fighting abilities are fairly unusual in one so young." the doll observes without a trace of irony. "Perhaps we will meet again in the future.".
Karin nods and says, "I'm always up for a rematch, and after that, I definitely will want one. See you again sometime." She then nods to Ishizaki, who begins to carry her to their limo. Karin does look back to Cammy, narrowing her eyes in interest, as she mumbles to herself, "Who is Cammy Whte -really-?"
