Description: Rich girls suck that is all...er well actually not really, Ibuki had one slot left to fill and decided to do so with someone that's got some talent fighting, thankfully Karin's ego wasn't so great that she dismissed the offer out of hand after a bit of humble pie.
Oh, Southtown, you silly town in Japan. With all the thugs and ruffians and street fighters. What would Karin do without you? Probably be of being posh and rich... Wait, she is that already. Oh well, at least she's having her fun kicking ass and taking names. She's been looking for people to join her team of fighters for the KOF, but aside from Pullum, she's had no real luck.
Aside from that, she's been shopping again, in Southtown village, trailed by her butler, to whom she's muttering, "How hard can it be to find someone to join a team?"
The usual hustle and bustle of Southtown is a bit muted in the village area, things are a bit smaller scale here, though it seems that there's always plenty for people to do here. Small neighborhood shops and restaurants dot the streets as do entrances to the numerous apartment buildings and given there are people constantly coming and going even someone with a butler trailing them doesn't stick out in a crowd that much, surprisingly.
Enjoying the relatively nice weather this afternoon, Ibuki has been tailing the heiress for a while, she'd heard she was looking to put together her own team but hadn't had much luck, thus she was more than happy to see if the other teenager would be willing to join her team. The only question was, how to make the initial approach...
Deciding directness with a little bit of guile would be the best approach, Ibuki dashes forward and 'bumps' inot the butler causing her to 'lose' her balance and start to stumble and fall towards Karin, "Look out!" She cautions loudly while careening towards the rich girl.
Karin is too lost in her own thoughts to be even remotely register incoming ninja girl, and blinks when she hears Ibuki's suddenly crasing into Ishizaki, and spins around just in time to get crashed into herself, and crashes to the ground... Lots of crashing!
Karin groans a little as she shakes her head clear of the birdies, and growls as she realizes that Ibuki is practically on top of her, and screams out, "What is the matter with you!? Don't you have any sense of direction, or decency to just not run into someone!" She growls and pushes herself off the ground, muttering, "Honestly.."
Well Ibuki hadn't planned on actually slamming into Karin, she'd figured the other girl would've dodged out of the way and Ibuki could've used the street lamp pole to spring back and land smoothly in front of her...but the best laid plans of ninja and tengu after all...thus for a moment Ibuki stares down at Karin before the other girl gets huffy.
Rolling to her feet the ninja smiles beneath the scarf that's covering the lower half of her face she chuckles, "Sorry I didn't mean to run into you like that!" She chirps cheerfully. Then after a moment she produces a piece of paper, a copy of her invitation to King of Fighters, "But I did have a question for you!" Her eyew twinkle brightly, "Would you like to join my KoF team?"
Karin blinks a little at the suggestion of joining -Ibuki's- team, and narrows her eyes in indignation as she plants her hands at her hips, "Join YOUR Team? After you just bowled me over? Why would I want to do that?" She then points at the girl, "If anything, you should join mine, just out of repayment for knocking me over in the first place! Besides, you can't be leader, who's going to take you seriously? I'm obviously more qualified to ead the team than you."
Ibuki smirks beneath her mask, "Well seeing as I have four member and you have none, I think that's a pretty solid reason!" The ninja girl doesn't even seem to care that she bowled Karin over and then she chuckles lightly, "But an apology is more than enough repayment and since I've already done that no need to join your team." The ninja shrugs, "The rest of the team seems to think I'm qualified but if you don't want to join...I suppose I can go ask someone else." The ninja starts to turn away...hoping that Karin's need to get in would outweigh her pride for the moment.
Karin is a little stubborn though, despite her need to get a team, and her pride is weighing in as one of the more annoying things about her, as her eyebrows twitch, "I do SO have someone on my team! I have Pullum Purna! I just need a little more time, and I'll have a complete team! I could probably buy off all of your team members and leave you with nobody! OHOHOHOHO!"
Ibuki cringes slightly at that rather high pitched an annoying laugh but she doesn't stop smiling beneath her scarf, "Oh do you? That's funny since I seem to have gotten her on my team too!" The ninja enthuses playfully, "And somehow I doubt you could buy off one of my other team members no matter how hard you tried." The ninja decides to go in for a kill, "Wouldn't it look bad to all the other female fighters /our/ age if you didn't manage to get in?" Now it seems she's using Karin's pride against her.
Karin goes wide eyed at the statement, and screams, "You can't just poach my team members! Pullum's on my time! And I doubt that there's anyone you could have possibly recruited to be on your team that I couldn't buy off!" Her pride still holds, for the moment anyway.
Ibuki hates using her cards when she doesn't think she has to but it's time to finish this as her eyes narrow for a moment before she winks at Karin. "I doubt you could buy off Ken Masters." Then she shrugs, "Hmm you can't have it both ways Karin-chan, you threaten to buy off my team members then when i take one of yours 'I can't poach them.' Come now let's be friends join my team and we'll have an awesome time!" It seems Ibuki is playing hardball at this point and is well aware of who Karin is.
Karin goes wide eyed at the team members name, and flinches, as though physically struck at, and grits her teeth as she tries to come up with a better argument. She doesn't. Clenching her fist, Karin takes a breath and swallows her pride, "Well... If it's Ken Masters..." She then lets out a breath, "Then I suppose there's nothing wrong with joining a team he's leading."
Ibuki blinks for half a beat, she starts to protest whom is in charge before something tells her that doing so would lead to a bigger headache at the moment, if she had time to prepare she could convince Karin that she's the best choice to lead this team, "Yeah..." She pauses, "I'll be in contact with you shortly for details on when our team is going to meet up to train together before the tournament!" She says enthusiastically, "Nice to have you on the team!" It was going to be a trial dealing with her Ibuki could tell already but she had talent and a strong desire to win something Ibuki valued for her new team.
Now that Karin has gotten that out of the way, she folds her arms across her chest and says, "Of course, even with Ken Masters on board, there's nothing wrong with having someone like myself on board. All the better for us to win the tournement."
She turns and looks to Ishizaki and tells him, "Let's go, Ishizaki." With that, she turns to leave, not even asking for Ibuki's name. She's Karin Kanzuki, and she'll figure it out eventually.
Ibuki steps out of the way and lets the girl pass without a comment in response to the arrogance, though the ninja teen nods to herself and shakes her head, "Going to be an uphill fight with that one." A crowd of people pass by her spot on the street and when they are gone so is the ninja.
