Quon - Jokes, Jests, and Jaguar Jibes.

Description: Cammy, Quon, and decide to hang out at Village Mall in Southtown. They end up receiving an unexpected surprise in the form of Sagat who wants to have a heart to heart with the young Chongquan artist.

It's late afternoon in downtown Southtown, it's one of the times during the day when crime kinda goes on a lull or at least makes itself take backseat to more normal crowds of pedestrians making their way home a little early from work, kids just out of school roaming the streets and hanging out here and there, the smell of some of the nearby eateries wafting through the air tantilizing the nose with the promise of delicous food. In short, your average inner city area that's moderately safe as long as you're paying attention.

It's in this mess of crowds that a girl dressed in a slightly out of place school uniform is leaning against one of the buildings as though she's waiting for someone. Looking down at her cellphone, Ibuki checks again to make sure that she got the right time and place that Cammy had told her, apparently she had another friend she wanted her to meet...hopefully someone a bit more relaxed than Cammy herself. With that thought Ibuki grins, "Well they've got a few more minutes before they're late!" She energetically says to no one in particular though it surprises a few birds roosting on the building above her.

Reclining back and resting her head in her hands Ibuki looks up at the sky, enjoying the warm rays of the sun before her attention falls back to her cell phone, she'd not been waiting super long but she was getting more excited by the moment due to meeting Cammy's friend and it was getting harder and harder for her to sit still. "They better get here soon!" She enthuses in mock frustration.
Cue the Little Red Riding Hood doll. Cammy is on her guard here in Southtown all the time lately, what with secret wars going on between Shadaloo and NESTS still, as far as she knows, going on. So the assassin is a just a little bit more paranoid than normal, keeping her blue eyes peeled as she treks through the crowded streets. Clad in her fighting uniform of course just in case, with the gauntlets and all, but everything concealed beneath what she charmingly believes is a disguise - a red cloak that stands out at least as much as the blue leotard/sweater.

She is also precisely on time. At least by her reckoning of what the time is. Opposite the icecream shop, next to a launderette, that must be the place... And she spots Ibuki quickly enough. It is the place! She darts through the crowds to get within talking distance, to smile blankly at her friend. "Ibuki, hello. Quon is not here yet?". She slides over to the building so she can put her back against it and thus dodge the crowds. And looks over the crowd with a frown. "I'm sure he will be here. Quon won't let me down.".

She knows where Quon lives.
And then there is Quon. Of course Quon does arrive. If there was one woman, Quon did not want pissed off at him, it would be Cammy. Plus having the two women break into his dorm room to break his face would be not cool. Clad in a brown T-shirt and black jeans as well as an orange winter coat.

Quon doesn't know what Ibuki looks like so he just focuses on finding Cammy and her red longcoat and figures that everything else should fall into place. He eventually finds the two girls eventually and approaches with the standard amount of stealth, which is none at all, and waves.

"Hey Cammy. And I guess this would be Ibuki?" He looks at the other woman. "I'm Quon. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Ibuki's response to Cammy's arrival is a wide grin and cheery wave of one of her hands before she resumes her prior waiting posture against the wall. "Nope he's not...well at least I don't think he has. I don't know what he looks like after all so I can't say for sure." She chuckles, "Must be nice knowing a guy won't disappoint you Cammy." She then stretches slightly as she'd been standing there for a bit, using the stretching to scan all around her for anything or anyone that looks odd, noting that there wasn't any 'dangerous' sorts about she relaxes some more against the wall.

Her brown eyes snap to attention and focus on the young man walking towards them as he waves at them, she grins in reply it's a very easy going smile hopefully it'll put Quon a bit at ease, Ibuki at least seems to have emotions. "Yep! That'd be me!" She chirps in response as he asks Cammy about her, "Nice to meet you Quon, as you know I'm Ibuki." She gives a playful salute at this point before straigtening up completely.

Looking to Cammy then Quon, "So? What's the plan are we going to get some food or maybe wander around and window shop at some of the stores?" She taps her chin thoughtfully as she awaits the others' reply.
Cammy was told Quon was afraid of her. And while that wasn't really what she wanted to hear, it does mean she is secure in the knowledge that Quon will go out of her way not to annoy her unduly. And so her faith in Quon is absolute, and accurate, as Quon promptly hoves into view. "Hi Quon. I'm sure you will like Ibuki." she tells him. "I havn't seen you for a while.". Almost a whole week! "Been busy?".

She turns to Ibuki then, and shrugs, but assumes a slightly wary look. Ibuki mentioned shopping before, after all, and in a way which kinda worried the Doll slightly. "Umm. Maybe food, and then shopping?" she suggests.
"Busy? Yeah. Semester finals were killer. Study study study... Hell I didn't even enter in any events even." It's at this point that Quon begins to to realize he's teetering on the edge of babbling so he stops, breathes and opts for cracking a joke. "If I didn't know better, I'd wonder if you missed me."

He then turns to Ibuki. "Anyway, I'm following your lead ladies. Where to?" Then Quon begins regretting asking that question as the image of carrying massive amounts of bags and boxes dance in his head.
Ibuki smirks slightly at Cammy very well aware of the other girl's aversion to shopping, though she doesn't make a big deal out of it, "Well if that's the case then getting a little food sounds like a great plan!" She sing songs before facing the two of them again, "Now what would you like to have? My vote is for burgers it'll be quick and we can get right into the shopping that way." She does not let on that normally she's not allowed to eat burgers and this is one of her few chances to do so.

"So Quon, how'd you meet our mutal friend?" She eyes Cammy playfully as she says this, it's obvious that Ibuki plans to needle them both a little bit while she has the chance, she really seems to be the mischevious sort.
"Burgers?". Cammy's nose wrinkles, very slightly - it's not exactly her first choice in foods. Lord Vega will be most displeased if he learns his dolls are getting fat, and thats even worse than her cheesecake addiction. Maybe a bit like Ibuki's ninja clan, but less forgiving. "Well, OK, I guess. I don't really mind. Burgers are fine.". She's sure just one will be fine.

"Poor Quon, so busy. I guess it's best that I was also busy this last week, then. So you have time to study. I know you need time to work, without distractions.". Cammy remembers their last conversation very well, it seems. But if there are any jokes, Cammy does not get them. "Of course I missed you." she tells him, deadpan. "So few people I can talk to. I have not forgotten you though.". She smiles at him, thinking. She has a gift of sorts planned! Though it's still in the planning phase at the moment...
Annnnd Quon watches as his joke flies over Cammy's head and disappears off in the distance. Fortunately Ibuki had asked him a question giving him something grab a hold of conversationally as well as give him an opportunity to delay while he thinks of what he wants to do. "I met her at an arcade while waiting to play NL 2010. One day, she'll be nasty using Cammy in that game."

The delay tactic works perfectly and he finally makes his decision. "I'm personally in the mood for Indian so I'll head there." Pointing at an Indian restaurant. "After I grab my food we could meet right there." He then points out a food court.
Stiffling a chuckle at Quon's expense as his attempt to tease Cammy is stone walled, Ibuki smiles politely and nods, "Hmm, they have arcade games for that, huh?" She shakes her head and grins, as she wonders if someday she'll be in one of those games, she pauses, "Is there a fighter named Adon in that game by any chance?" Her tone sounding slightly aggressive as she asks.

While the matter of fighting game characters is being talked about, she could practically taste the burger after Cammy gives in but Quon surprises her by suddenly throwing in the possibility for Indian food and she pouts slightly, "Great more rice." She murmurs...well she could have some curry at the very least that'd be somewhat different than her normal diet, but then she catches on that only he intends to go there so she grins and looks at Cammy, "Burgers right?" She sing songs.
Cammy sees a way to escape to slightly less obnoxious food than burgers, but more importantly, Quon is eating it. "Indian. Thats a good idea. No?". And she sees simultaneously that Ibuki wants burgers, but that they have already decided to split up anyway. "I will have a curry as well." she declares. "And then we can meet up in the food court.". She promptly slides over to where Quon stands, ready to follow.

"Yes, Adon is in it. As if his ego needs such boosts. He is so annoying. With that laugh as well. Ugh. But... I suppose we should pity him, really.". And she nods at Quon. "One day, but we have not had a chance to go to that arcade since." she reminds gently. Quon isn't seeing her /enough/.
"Oh don't remind me of that laugh it's absolutely hideous, makes you want to punch his face in as hard as you can." Ibuki pauses as she realizes what she said, "At least when I heard it on TV it made me want to do that. Doesn't it do the same to you?" She looks to Cammy. Then her head turns to face Quon, "Umm not really we just kinda met one day and she offered me cheesecake so we bonded over a dessert." Ibuki lets out a small embarrassed chuckle as she scratches her cheek slightly.

Then the two of them take off for the Indian place and when Quon glaces back at her she gives him a large playful wink while pointing at Cammy before she heads off to grab food from the closest burger joint. Which she accomplishes handily heading back for the predetermined food court location to wait for the other two to arrive.
"Yes, it does. Such an annoying laugh. And those shrieks he makes when he's fighting... He tries to deafen his opponents or irritate them into losing, or something.". Grr. Cammy has been personally irritated by Adon plenty in the past. Enough that she went to the Big Man to try and do something about it. "And yes, cheesecake. Quon and I have also shared cheesecake.". Doll initiation rites.

And then she does indeed run off at first after Quon, delayed a bit by replying to Ibuki. And curry? If she couldn't order a curry she'd have to hand in her Brit card. Even if she does sound a bit upper class for the food of the masses. "I'll have... chicken tikka massala and pilau rice." she declares after skimming the menu.
Let's ignore the fact that Cammy broke into his dorm to share said cheesecake. Ahem!

When the food finally arrives and is paid for, Quon grabs his own bag of food and waits for Cammy to grab hers before he starts heading back to meet up with Ibuki.

"I'm baaack." He says in both a bad and thankfully quieter impersonation of Adon. He anticipates a couple punches to the arm, but thankfully he's loosening up a bit more.
Ibuki's reaction to the impersonation is to nearly choke on the bite of burger in her mouth, then sputter, and finally to swallow down an emergency drink of her soda, before she just looks at Quon, "Good joke...poor timing, and gah I just don't like that guy okay?!!" She angrily bites into her burger brushing it off from further conversation.

After a moment though she does decide to retaliate, "So Quon are you enjoying your date with Cammy? It seems like she's having a good time." The ninja girl then smile at the British doll, "Aren't you Cammy?" She then smirks before putting on a pretend sad face, "It makes me feel left out as the chaperone." Her eyes totally showing off the fact that she's laughing on the inside.
Cammy had to break into his dorm, though. It was a surprise! And it certainly surprised him, too, so it worked.

She emerges right behind Quon with curry, mmm, so many food colourings and additives, delicious. "I am having a good time, yes." she declares, in her flat Doll voice. "And now we have food, so it's getting even better.". Om nom. She digs into her bag and lays out dinner, to nibble at it silently for a little while. Blue eyes flicking from Quon to Ibuki as she lets them talk for a bit while she eats. Mostly Quon though.

Poor Quon.
"See? I knew I should've had a friend come along. I had told her that I didn't want you feeling like a third wheel!" He is able to see that she is taking it in stride though of course, there's that nagging feeling in the back of his mind that keeps telling him that Vega won't like them considering it a date.

It's then that Quon digs in and begins consuming his food. "Mmm. This is good. Hey that burger smells good. I have to remember that place you went to for next time."
Ibuki's repsonse to Quon is fairly simple she smiles and shakes her head, "It's fine, really. I'm mainly just messing with you anyway." She puffs out her chest and puts on her best smile, "If I wanted to I'm sure I could find a date." She then winks at him before giggling slightly as she lets out the excess air she pulled in a moment ago. She then goes back to eating her burger rather slowly, savoring the texture flavor and forbidden qualities it contains.

She nods at Quon, "They're pretty good I've gotta say that." She looks at Quon and Cammy's plates, "Not that what you got doesn't look good too." She tilts her head to Cammy, "It's obvious someone enjoys theirs a bit more than they'd let on." Popping a fry into her mouth she pauses then takes a sip of her drink, "So what would you two like to do next?"
"Ibuki is easy going. Thats why I knew you would like her here." Cammy tells Quon at this little byplay going on. "And there's nothing wrong with a good curry." she says between munching. "Don't often eat curry really. Quon has good ideas.". And she grins at Quon for a moment, with a happy sigh.

..a happy sigh that quickly fades. "Well... I guess we can go shopping afterwards. Maybe. What would Quon like to do?" she asks, thinking there may be a lifeline here. Also, slow down - chew your food!
A happy sigh from Cammy? Quon is doomed!

Quon takes a moment to contemplate his curry before he speaks up. "Hey. A even blind pig finds an acorn once in a while." Then Quon's wheels turn in his head as he thinks of what he'd like to do. There's going to see Cammy go into the Victoria's Secret store and then there's going to a video game store. He opts for the suggestion that won't get him killed. "Well... I've been wanting to buy a game that recently came out..."

"It's true, I am pretty easy going." Ibuki chirps cheerfully a moment after Cammy says it, "....huh?" Ibuki looks slightly confused by Quon's possible reply to Cammy hopefully that wasn't in response to her own over the top comment a moment ago otherwise she was going to have things to say about being called a pig! Shaking her head though she focuses on what needs to be done to get what she wants out of the situation, "That's fine." She smiles easily...

"Though once we finish up at the gamestore maybe we can hit one of the clothing stores, I promised Cammy that we'd look for her a proper swim suit a while ago!" Ibuki then leans over towards Cammy conspiratorially and says in a loud stage whisper, "Unless of course you don't want a swimsuit that'll make the boys pass out from your hotness?"

"Quon is quite confusing sometimes." Cammy explains to Ibuki with his blind pigs reference. At least so Cammy thinks anyway. "And, new games, very well. What sort of games?" she asks, curiously looking over at Quon as she munches the last of her curry. "More fighting games like the one in the arcade?" she guesses. "I hope you will not play Fei Long all the time again.". Meh, poser.

Her face falls a bit at Ibuki's suggestion. Ibuki's ideas will no doubt break Shadaloo dress code. "I already have clothes." she points out to Ibuki. "That I am supposed to wear all the time.". At talk of swimsuits and boys passing out the Doll just blushes slightly and looks down at her empty curry plate, not quite sure what to say. But knowing that Lord Vega would almost certainly be Most Displeased. "But we don't actually have to /buy/ anything." she points out.

"What I meant is that every now and then, someone can get lucky and come up with a good idea. That lucky fool was me." Might as well explain that reference and clear it up once and for all.

As for Quon he now doesn't feel as bad about what his self-rejected suggestion was though he still feels that for him to voice it would eventually get his Chinese behind killed.

He's finishing up his own curry and taking a sip of his drink. "I guess that sounds like a plan!" He's enjoying the look plastered on Cammy's face, imagining it to be what his face looked like when he found her sitting on his floor in Doll Leotard with a couple of plates of cheesecake in front of her.

So it seems like the attempt to try and help Quon out and try to put some seperation between he and Cammy didn't quite work out as planned. Sagat knows this because he has made sure tabs were kept on the Killer Bee and her activities. The down side to this is also Sagat having to either threaten or pay off said people just so Vega might not know about what is going on. Who knows if those people still won't turn around and tell the Shadaloo boss.

This has gone a bit too far, though. Each time she visits just risks more of a chance of Vega taking notice and Quon's life is probably shortened. Heck, the kid is lucky someone like Juri hasn't been sent out to go 'play' with him. If Cammy thought bad things were done to her cat then she doesn't want to see what might happen if Juri got her hands on Quon.

There are people in the area that are stopping to turn and stare towards the three where they are gathered. Well it is more past the three and at the seven and a half foot tall figure that is dressed in a hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants that approaches them. There is a large shadow cast over Quon as Sagat stands behind him and that single eye narrows on the group as the large Muay Thai fighter folds his arms over his chest. "Pardon the interruption, but I believe now is a good time to end this."

Ibuki nods at Cammy, "You bet he is." She says while giving him a teasing look. She sits back and listens quietly finishing off the rest of her food while Quon answers the Doll's questions. The ninja snorts slightly at the comment about playing Fei Long all the time. Then Ibuki scores her minor victory by making the girl actually not only show off emotion but blush as well, "I suppose we don't, but you can /try/ stuff on." Ibuki counters quickly. Though she does manage to catch the look on Quon's face as Cammy blushes and smiles faintly for a moment.

Quon's explanation of his meaning causes Ibuki to grin and nod in reply, "I see now." Ibuki then stands up and stretches as she throws her wrappers and assorted empty food containers away as the decision for plans is made.

This is the point at which the looming giant shows up, and Ibuki slams on the breaks before she accidently slams into the sweatsuit clad figure. For the briefest of moments Ibuki is unsure of what to do before she finally pipes up, "Excuse me, but I'm not sure that's your decision to make big guy! How about we talk about it over you treating me to ice cream huh?" She says this while trying to position herself so Quon and Cammy are behind her.

Cammy blinks up at Sagat, as he looms behind Quon. She's a little surprised by him turning up... but only a little. And not really worried. After all, he's always been nice to her in the past, and so helpful. She waves a hand at him. Even if Ibuki is in the way, she can always address the giants head, it's not like she can really block that. "Hello, Sagat. You want to train Quon now?" she asks. She hesitates for a second, really, it is quite bad timing!

And she beams at Quon. "See, I told you." she tells him in conspiratorial tones. "You are very lucky. Soon, you will be able to beat that Rust.". Oh, and to Ibuki, "Do not worry, I know Sagat." she says.

Poor Cammy?

And then Quon's world is suddenly darkened as a shadow is cast behind him. Quon only knows of one person who could cast a shadow like that. When he hears the voice. It only serves to confirm it.

"Oh... Crap..."

Quon on the other hand, isn't so easily comforted as Cammy, especially considering the content of Sagat and Quon's first conversation.

Quon slowly turns around and then looks upward. He doesn't say a word after that. No Quon is stunned speechless.

And that was supposed to be the last conversation they were to have for a long while. He never had expected Cammy to appear and find herself attached to Quon. Was it some sort of strange fate that keeps doing this? He just hopes no more people get involved. He also finds himself being ran into by Ibuki and she appears to have a few choice words for him. In the past this would have probably resulted a rather large fist being inserted into the young girl's face. Instead he just looks at her briefly then promptly decides to ignore her and return his attention to Cammy and Quon.

"I am not here for training." he tells the Doll as he just gives a nod to Quon. He would say he is sorry about all this, but given the look that the young Chinese man is giving him he wonders if he would even be believed. That single eye closes momentarily as he figures out the best way to try and diffuse this situation. It might not be too troublesome if it was just Cammy and Quon here, but there are things Ibuki doesn't need to hear. "I do need to have a word in private with him, though. Perhaps you and your friend should wander off for awhile."

Three very important things happen in a relatively short amount of time for Ibuki...the first thing being that Cammy recognizes and says the name of Mr. Sweatsuit, while Ibuki's not the most hip to most everyone in the fighting world she's heard of Sagat and his reputation, and to which she looks from Cammy to Quon to Cammy to Quon to Sagat to Cammy to Quon and effectively she is momentarily dumbfounded.

The second important thing is that Quon seems freaked out and well, Ibuki is the chaperone here she can't let the good mood be spoiled or for someone to butt in can she...so her mind races to try and determine just what she can do in this situation.

The third and final thing was the fact that he'd just ignored her, normally she wouldn't care about something like that but to be passed over as a non entity like that especially when she thought she'd been so witty, she just points at Sagat, "Hey now! Why don't you and I discuss it over there instead and leave these two crazy kids alone and let them have fun? Come on what do you say?! I'm sure you have no problem with that right?" That finger keeps waggling at the former Muay Thai Emperor as she talks...maybe just maybe she can distract him by occupying his field of vision?!!!

Cammy ohs as Sagat reveals he's not training. Hmm. Well, it's not the Dolls business to know what Sagat is up to. She gets up and salutes Sagat, the motion a little clumsy thanks to the all encompassing cloak. And then pats Quon gingerly on the shoulder, as if she might hurt him just by the lightest contact. She knows how timid Quon is around her. "Do not be afraid, Quon. He agreed to teach you, remember?".

And then, she darts over towards Ibuki. "It's fine." the Doll tells her flatly. "Do not harass Sagat like that, he won't like it. We can wait while he goes about his business with Quon. I'm sure it won't take very long.". And she tries to nudge Ibuki away from him, so he can talk to Quon in peace.

Quon nods. "I'll speak with him." Not because he wants to but rather because at this point, he feels that it's the only thing he can do to keep the situation calm right now.

With a gesture, he moves towards an area where the two can be alone and then takes a deep breath as he tries to at least keep a calm appearance if not calm emotional state.

Once again it would seem that Ibuki is ignored. He really has nothing to say to her and even if he did he is pretty sure she wouldn't like what he has to say to her. He just nods to Cammy and he lets himself wander away from the girls to stand over where Quon is. The giant actually moves to position himself to sort of block out Quon from the sight of both Cammy and Ibuki.

He frowns just slightly and gives a shake of his head. "I don't know how you attract trouble like this." he tells Quon while giving a bit of a sigh. "I am not sure how it happened, but I need to try and stop this. Otherwise you won't live long I have a feeling." This is not really a threat, but the cold hard truth. Quon's days could be numbered for all he knows. He isn't quite sure if Vega is in the dark still or not.

He glances over his shoulder briefly to nod in the direction of Cammy before looking to Quon. "Do something to push her away from you. I have done all I can to try and keep her from you, but it isn't working. She is Vega's favorite....toy." That is about the nicest way he could put it. That is all anyone really is to Vega afterall. "She doesn't realize how much danger she keeps putting you in either."

Sometimes it's not exactly what is said but how a person says it that can convey meaning and intent. He's silent at first, letting the giant speak on things. The more Sagat speaks, the more he seems to confirm the suspicions that the Chongquan artist had already had.

"I know. I figured out she was with you guys when we first met. Upon realizing that, I made myself scarce as quickly as possible. I didn't even think she'd break into my dorm to see me." He takes a deep breath. "I've tried pushing her away but considering she can get into my residence pretty much at will, I don't think there is anything I can do short of committing suicide to keep her away. I was scared when I realized she was forming an attachment to me. And I'm even more scared now. And right now I hate myself for being so scared because I look at her and not only I see a girl who's looking for someone to show her kindness, I also see a girl who will only bring about my death if not by her hands then by someone in your organization's hands."

Things never can be easy. So the giant starts to find out just what lengths Cammy has gone to in order to see Quon. He understands the girl wants friends, but in Shadaloo you aren't really allowed to have such things. It will only lead to trouble like this. He would probably warn Ibuki too, but that might be for another time. He has a feeling that one wouldn't quite understand just how dangerous things might be getting for her.

Sagat folds his arms over his chest once more and he furrows his brow. "No, it will probably be by her hands. Vega would make her do it or have perhaps someone else do it in front of her." So what can they do? Sagat himself is starting to run out of ideas. At this rate Quon won't ever get time to develop into a proper fighter. You can only dodge death so many times and he has to say Quon might have used up all his luck so far. "There is one thing I could suggest that might fix this, but I rather not go that route." And even then he isn't sure if it would work. Could he request Cammy to be brainwashed? Vega would become too suspicious of that one. "You need to move. Perhaps to another country entirely. She might find you eventually, but it might take her awhile."

"Fuck."

Who would've thought a chance meeting in an arcade would lead to Quon to briefly consider giving up his dream of being an actor. He takes a deep breath. As he considers taking a similar path to his friend Antoine.

"I can't do that. I've made too many promises and spent too much time chasing my dreams to run away like that. I have to accept my fate when it comes."

It is an admirable response, but at this stage a foolish one. Sagat just shakes his head supposing this may not be any of his business. He just prefers not to let someone that has the promise of becoming a good fighter to die before has a chance to achieve his full potential. "I see. So that is how you feel?" he asks and his brow quirks just slightly. "You say that, but I can tell you are very afraid." he just leans forward some and his eye narrows. "As you should be."

He then straightens back up and shakes his head. "I suppose I saved a fool only to let himself throw his life away anyways." He then starts to turn around looking to leave and allow Quon to return to where the two girls are. "Cammy did not lie. I will train you if you want. It will not be an easy path." If he is to teach someone again he refuses to allow another Adon to happen. He then also turns back around and holds a hand out to hand to Quon. Once accepted he turns around and starts stalking off. "That is for the icecream the one girl wanted. Let her know I couldn't stay for it." Of course he never tells Quon how to get in touch with him if he truely wants that training. Then again Quon has probably realized by now the Muay Thai fighter will track him down when he feels like getting an answer.

Quon nods once and then heads back to the two girls. A somber expression appears on his face as he moves towards them. He doesn't open his mouth when he gets there and in fact it's awhile before he says anything. Instead, he holds out a hand towards Ibuki, and that's when he finally speaks. "He said that this was for the ice cream. He also wanted to apologize for not being able to stay for it."

He then shoves his hands into his pockets and looks down at his shoes not able to meet either girl's eyes.

As the mountain of a man ignores her and sets himself inbetween Quon and the rest of the little group, Ibuki turns to Cammy for a moment with a look halfway between annoyance and acknolegement of defeat in the instance of protecting Cammy and Quon's date. While she tries to train her ears on the two men's conversation she leans forward and rests her head on her propped up fist. "I take it you know captain wet blanket here?" She hooks her thumb over her shoulder at where Sagat is standing.

While the guys are keeping it low enough it's hard to make out most of their talk, she catches bits and pieces here and there, "Is he noramally this pushy about things?" She continues her partial rant directed at the giant Muay Thai fighter and she sits quietly for a few minute occassionally turning her head to give Sagat's back a glare before she finally gets bored with that and lets out a massive sigh, "But I guess there's nothing we can do at this point...so Cammy what's got you so interested in Quon if you don't mind my asking?" The brown haired teen leans forward and eagerly awaits the other girl's response.

Whether Ibuki gets any sort of real answer to this question depends entirely on how long it takes Cammy to answer, as Sagat makes his quick exit and Quon rejoins their conversation with the offer of ice cream money, Ibuki blinks at Quon then looks at the money then back at Quon, "I...suppose he didn't realize that was an attempt to get him to do something besides interrupt your and Cammy's fun?" She rubs her chin thoughtfully for a moment, "No reason to waste it though..." She takes the money, "Anyone want any ice cream besides me?" She inquires of the rocky relationship duo...

"That is Sagat, the old Emperor of Muay Thai, and one of the greatest fighters in the world. At the very top tier. He is not pushy really, but he is very serious by nature. And I know him, yes." Cammy shrugs. "Only as an acquaintance. He is a man who values privacy and quiet, I think.".
"Quon, mmm. Well, he is determined, flashy, somewhat funny in his own way, dedicated, kind. He talked to me and was nice to me.". Cammy is dead easy to impress. "He showed me how to play this game in the arcade. He is a bit scaredy though, he would jump at his own shadow if he was not careful.". Poor Quon might be excused that flaw given the company he keeps these days. People like Sagat are actually among the kindest of Quon's acquaintances.
"I think Sagat was talking about training, Quon wants to be a fighter like him. And I will have ice cream.". Her diet remains in the future.

Quon's ears pick up on bits and pieces of the conversation. In particular he catches the tail end of Cammy's list of qualities that caused her to like him. He finds himself blushing until she gets to the part about him being a scaredy. Wait. He's afraid of people who can take on armies without breaking a sweat, while he nearly got killed by a squad, and that makes him a scaredy. Quon's vibes are putting out some serious objections to this.

But Quon remains silent on that matter. Instead he comments on the ice cream. "Between the curry and the bit of a snack I had before I came here, I'm not all that hungry." Though true, Sagat's visit didn't help his appetite all that much.

It suddenly clicks for Ibuki, when Cammy mentions his name who Sagat was. She's not completely ignorant of the fighting world she just mainly knows the very famous ones, at least at the moment, she's starting to think she needs to watch recordings from old tournaments from around the world to find out more about possible new opponents for herself. Shaking her head, she refocuses on Cammy as she explains what she likes about Quon and would've asked for more details had the aforementioned boy not returned, "Right, some ice cream for Cammy and none for you, got it!" Ibuki chuckles playfully before taking off to get the icy treats.

While she's got she gets to review the fact that she was basically hitting on a really dangerous guy to distract him before she suddenly breaks out laughing at the thought of it, "Well I guess it could've gone badly there." She murmurs to herself between chuckles, "It could've been a interesting fight though..." She steps up in line and picks up her ice cream and returns to the group, "Cheescake ice cream for Cammy and raspberry swirl for Ibuki." She sing songs as she sits down, "So Quon...you seem to enjoy hanging out with Cammy right?" It seems she caught the blushing earlier and decided to wait to spring that on him now after he had a few minutes to chill about the scaredy comment.

Cammy may be emotionally ignorant, but vibes are something of a specialty of hers. Poor Quon. That said she doesn't even know about the shooting thing, so she can hardly be blamed for that! "I'm sorry, Quon. I suppose meeting Sagat in the flesh must be quite an experience for you.". But for me, it was Tuesday! "I am being harsh and lacking empathy again.". She reaches out to give Quon's hand a little pat, seeking forgiveness for calling him a wuss for being afraid of Vega and His minions.
"Quon is training, I am sure no icecream for him for a while.". The Doll apparently is not, yum yum. At Ibuki's question, she turns the full attention of her blank stare upon Quon. She wants to hear /this/ answer, oh yes.

"Uh... Err."

To put it lightly, Quon was blind sided by Ibuki's question. He needs a moment to gather himself. After that moment is taken, he finally speaks up. "Yeah, I do like hanging out with her." While that's true, what's left unmentioned is the fact that the times he doesn't, Shadaloo stuff popping up kinda ruins it for him. "It's been a good friendship so far."

Quon's personal concerns about the organization is why he attempts to put Cammy in the friend-zone. Anything more, and he can already see it turning to crap. Hell, he even has doubts about their friendship lasting due to the differences in apparent philosophies between him and Shadaloo and her loyalty to said organization.

Leaning in closer to Quon so she doesn't miss a thing, Ibuki smiles and leans back into her seat after his answer. "Aww I was hoping I'd get another blush out of you." She admits a little disappointedly though her eyes have been on Cammy most of the time to see what /her/ reaction to Quon's answer was.

The ninja teen then takes a few spoonfuls of her ice cream, to give the other two some time to talk and recover respectively without her interference. Plus ice cream you don't have to pay for is always extra good! While now aware of Cammy's ties to Sagat, Ibuki remains blissfully unaware of the connections to Shadaloo either due to willfully not thinking too deeply on it or focusing on Quon and Cammy's interplay.

Cammy doesn't really think too much about the philosophical gulf between her and Quon, after all, obeying Lord Vega's every wish is the purpose of life, and she's sure Quon will understand too eventually given how self evidently right it is. She does beam happily at his response, as in the back of her mind doubts often nag about Quon. Much too often for her liking he seems to not want to see her, after all!
But for now all is well, so Cammy delicately eats icecream for a while. "Quon is not prone to blushing." she informs Ibuki. "I think he is a bit of a showoff after all. Shyness is not one of his problems. He wants to be a movie star.".

"Sorry to disappoint." His teeth gleam with a highly amused, million dollar grin. "Yeah. I've even thought of the nickname I'd like to have when that happens." He seems to mull over whether or not he should reveal it or not. For now, he decides not to opting to speak about what type of movies he'd like to be in. "I want to be in action flicks. Stuff like Enter the Dragon and Ong Bak."

One doesn't need to be empathic to see how happy the idea of being a famous movie star makes him.

"Ah I see, hmm, well I'll figure out a way to make him blush." Ibuki then flashes Quon a smile that basically says, 'Challenge Accepted'. She raises an eyebrow as he mentions him having his nickname picked out, "Isn't that for your fans to decide?" The girl blinks a bit thoughtful as she asks that. When he mentions what movies he'll be doing, "I guess that's not all that surprising." Though his obvious joy about the topic brings yet another smile to Ibuki's face.

Ibuki is an equal opportunity embarrasser so this time she sets her sights on Cammy, but not before she takes a number of extra bites from her ice cream. "I have to say Cammy, you seem to know a lot about Quon, you like him that much huh?" She pauses, "Hmm, do you like him more than cheesecake I wonder?"

"You will be a movie star. I will help you." Cammy tells Quon, looking at him with narrowed eyes, the brain behind them clearly hatching dastardly schemes which promise to make Quon's future life still more entertaining. Poor Quon.
And then Ibuki is talking to her. She glances over at the ninja, not that she knows she's a ninja, and ponders this question seriously for a moment. "Well, cheesecake is good, but cheesecake is bad for you, so I suppose Quon is better than cheesecake in that regard. It is a silly question, though. As the two are not mutually exclusive." the Doll tells Ibuki seriously. "I can have my cheesecake, and eat it." she says with a small smile.

Quon's eyes pop wide open. Wait... Was that a joke? That was indeed a joke. After a few moments to process that Cammy has indeed made a joke, Quon's mouth opens to laugh. It's not a big laugh but a laugh all the same.

"Point to Cammy." He takes a deep breath before releasing it an audible exhalation. In the back of his mind, he has to wonder what type of help he's getting. "But anyway, you don't need to do all that for me." He playfully waves it off. Deep inside though he has a fierce independent streak, not wanting to ask for help unless he absolutely needs it which is why he's quick to refuse it.

Ibuki takes a long slow bite of her ice cream, then slowly smiles in response to Cammy's reply, "Mmm I see." She quirks an eyebrow at Quon and winks, "So you're saying in the end you just want to 'eat' Quon?" The girl very very deliberately misunderstands the Doll's joke before pushing on, "Just remember, when you 'eat' him use the proper utensils." Maybe the Doll will get it or maybe she won't but Ibuki's pretty sure Quon will get every bit of it.

The ninja girl leans back in her chair as she finishes her ice cream, "Now that was a tasty meal, though I wonder how much exercise I'm going to have to do to burn it off, maybe one lap around the park?" She muses aloud to herself before refocusing on her two companions for this meal, "So I believe we were going to get Cammy here a proper swimsuit, weren't we?" She grins at her friend slowly.

Cammy blinks at Ibuki. "It was a joke. Quon likes my jokes, see." she says, defensively, nose wrinkling. "Of course I do not want to actually eat him. Ugh. And, no, no swimsuit, I have changed my mind.". Maybe Cammy was open to the idea, but no longer, after her jokes are insulted so! "Besides, I already have one which is good enough. My clothes are all purpose. Swimsuits are embarassing. And not... regulation.". She isn't quite sure what Lord Vega will think of swimsuits for his dolls, but she's not sure asking him would be very wise.

To Quon's credit, he doesn't blush at Ibuki's comment. But the dropped jaw and surprised expression on his face which are each very very very genuine, has to be worth at least three blushes. He stays completely silent...

Well, he stays silent until Cammy lets her thoughts known. But before he speaks that word 'regulation' echoes in his mind. He gets the image of Cammy showing up with a bathing suit in a bag and then Vega showing up to put the hurt on him. This is a fate he seriously wants to avoid. Even still he speaks up. "Besides, your suit is basically a one piece bathing suit with sleeves anyway, right?" Wait? Is he making a case for or against bathing suit shopping? "Besides, do you really want me around for bathing suit shopping anyway?" Tone indicating a suspicion of motive for Ibuki's desire to have him along for the ride while they shop for bathing suits for Cammy.

Ibuki gets a very pleased look on her face from Quon's reaction. Though she just shakes her head at Cammy, "Awww that's not fair Cammy, you said you'd go after we ate!" She looks bemused, "You know I made a joke too..." She then chuckles, "But I guess we'll do that another time." It'd be a perfect excuse for a 'second date' for the duo in Ibuki's opinion.

At Quon's follow up, "That thing is not a bathing suit and you know it." Ibuki points at the movie star hopeful, "And of course we need you to come, we need a male opinion, how else can I prove to her that the proper suit will get guy's attention." She grins, "Unless you're saying you've got better things to do than to help Cammy and myself out when the time comes?" She stresses the last point obviously giving up on the swimsuit shopping for this particular outing.

Cammy just frowns. "Well, I could buy one, I suppose. They are cheap enough. Wearing it is another matter though, probably.". Probably wouldn't be all that wise even buying one, some point in the future Balrog would be rifling through her things, and bathing suits are the last things she would like the already obsessed psychopath to see. Questions would likely be asked, difficulties possibly would arise.
"And see, Quon is very funny. That day I got into his apartment and he didn't expect to see me there. The expression on his face! I should have taken a camera with me. ". She beams again, remembering Quon picking his jaw up off the floor.

Quon remains silent shaking his head, at first. After all, what else could he say? Besides to be fair, any guy would have his jaw hit the floor upon seeing cheesecake fodder in their dorm sitting cross-legged with two plates of cheesecake in front of them.

Eventually he can bring himself to say, "What? So you can show your friends?" His tone makes it obvious he's teasing. However a nagging thought in the back of his head makes him wonder if he really wants a picture of him circulating where she lives. Nope. Not really.

Ibuki smirks, "Nope they aren't that expensive really, I'm sure you'll be happier with one that Quon likes than not having one at all." The girl stands up from her seat, stretches, then throws away the trash from her meal and dessert. She chuckles at Cammy, "I never said Quon wasn't funny, he's pretty fun to mess with actually." She kinda trails off for a moment afterwards.

Letting the picture comment slide, Ibuki points in the direction of the clothing store that has swimsuits, "Alright! Let's go do some shopping you two! I wanna shop till you both drop!" It seems this might be another part of the reason Ibuki wanted to do this, she just really really wanted to shop with friends. She takes off in the direction of the store stopping every so often to make sure they follow along.
