Juri - Two Sides of Luck

Description: When you're someone called Lucky, perhaps you think that running into someone like Juri would be ironic. Not so! Not when you have a string of luck so epic that it shakes the very heavens with its might! Though he may not have been able to defeat the woman threatening his dojo, at least this epic log shall forever be burnt into our hearts and minds.

Such a lovely day for walking outside. The sun is shining, the wind is blowing, the birds are singing! At least... they are singing in some areas of the city. Around one such as Juri Han a fell wind follows and even the birds seem to know to not attract the spider's attention. Some spiders eat birds too after all. It's rather unusual to see the Korean national simply walking about like this, even in her civvies: A sort of white bikini top, low-cut black pants and a pair of white pumps. Some people think she might be a street walker. Some people better keep their mouth shut. After all, there's only one sort of strenuous physical activity that Juri is interested in right now: And she knows just where to get it.

And so the Terror of Taizhou descends upon the Kyokugen Dojo. There is the closest approximation of a friendly smile that Juri can manage on her face. As of right now things seem quiet. A few students here and there busy taking care of the yard, and there are certainly more inside training during this time of the day. It is one of those students that is busy sweeping the walkway in front of the building that Juri decides to harass. She places one hand /gently/ upon the small girl's shoulder. One of Yuri's fans, perhaps? And then somewhat less gently squeezes. That same, friendly smile (read: psychotic sneer) greets the girl as she turns to face Juri.

"Pardon me, would you mind finding your sensei and telling him that I've come for his sign? Mm, unless you'd like to play with me instead." The girl almost certainly squeaks in shock and horror, before running away into the dojo itself! The Taekwondoka meanwhile sighs, and glances about the yard. A dark frown crossing her lips now, "Feh... this place brings back memories." ... "None of them particularly good."

--

It has already been a few days since he managed to get Takuma to agree to train him, but Lucky already feels like things are going along well so far. He just has that sort of infectious smile and easy going personality that have made him a few friends among the other students. Of course he is alot older than most of the students so he sort of sticks out like a sore thumb. Nevermind the fact he is well over seven feet tall. That sort of make him stick out too. Even so he is left doing the same things the younger students are to do. Washing the car, redoing shingles, and all of that fun stuff.

He has taken it in stride for the fact it isn't really hard work and in return he is getting to train with some interesting people. He still has a long way to go, but he hopes to climb that ladder quickly at least. He is actually inside when the girl runs in rambling about some strange woman wanting to see Takuma. "Old man isn't here." he explains. The instructors seem busy too for that matter so they seem to be brushing it away. Being the helpful guy that he is Lucky tells the girl he would go see if he can be of any help.

He steps out of the dojo and looks about. Given how she is dressed Lucky picks out Juri quite easily and it makes him raise a brow. She doesn't look like the type Takuma would deal with, but the old man is a bit on the eccentric side. "Hey, Takuma stepped out to meet with some friends for a bit. Is there anything I can help you with?" he asks as he steps over and looks down at the much shorter Korean. Too bad he has no idea for the type of danger he is getting himself into. Given the smile he has he looks to be blissfully unaware too.

--

As Juri stands 'patiently' outside, 'patiently' tapping her foot, she attracts the attention of the other students as well. To most people she would seem a pretty normal looking woman with skimpy clothing and strange hairstyle preferences. However it's the impressive muscle definition on her arms and stomach that tell the true tale. This woman works out, a lot. Perhaps she's an old friend of Takuma's? A member from a satellite dojo in Korea? Who knows.

All that is known is that by the time Lucky comes out Juri is already bored, and idly digging in her left ear with one of her pinky fingers. Violet color eyes slide toward his direction when he speaks... and then move upward slowly to look him in the eyes. He he has nearly two entire feet on her, and who knows how much of a weight advantage. However Juri just passively removes her finger from her ear and turns to face Lucky directly. In the light of the day it's hard to tell, but her left eye is glowing faintly. Readouts, diagrams, a plethora of information is delivered regarding Lucky's capabilities based on the flow of chi through his body and muscular build. The Korean scoffs softly. "What a disgrace."

With a luxurious yawn, Juri streeeeetches her arms over her head before lowering them back down to rest her fingers on her hips. "Hm, well this just ain't your lucky day, now is it? I came all the way here to take that lovely little dojo sign of yours by beating the strongest warrior here. Would that happen to be... you?" A joyless, predatory grin spreads over her lips.

Hooo boy, choose your words carefully.

--

It seems like his parents made a bad decision when naming Lucky. It seems like in the end he is far from what his name implies. In this case it would happen to be he has no idea what the hell he just got himself into and he is probably going to dig himself a hole he cannot get out of. "Wow, you really do have bad timing. Most of the people you are talking about aren't here." Odd how that works. Ryo is off having a drink and talking to King while Robert and Yuri are off on some shopping trip that is making the Italian's wallet MUCH lighter. Not even Marco is around which is rather rare.

He hmms a bit then smiles when he seems to put two and two together in his own mind. It isn't that he is dumb, but he is a bit ignorant about the Kyokugen clan and the trouble they attract. "Oh hey, you want to steal the sign? You must be from Todoh's dojo." he surmises and that smile widens. "Kasumi put you up to this, huh? I heard she can be a real slavedriver." He motions towards what looks like a table with a few chairs. "If you feel like waiting there are some seats. We might have some tea or something for you if you want." he offers. It is really to the point where Juri might be wondering if Takuma set the large man out just to fuck with Juri and see what happens.

--

As it turns out, Lucky isn't the only one experiencing a run of bad luck. Though she tries to hide it the Korean woman cannot help but show her disappointment! Her lips actually stick out in a slight pout, and she crosses her arms in front of her with a frown. "Well, isn't that just /perfect/!?" She says with a slight hiss. Though most of her anger is aimed at the situation and not at Lucky at least. Perhaps things won't be bad after al

Oh Lucky ...

Though it is true that Todoh's dojo is the one most commonly wishing to take the Kyokugen dojo's sign, and that perhaps she looks like someone who could be the student of another dojo, suggesting that she actually is does not seem to do much positive for Juri's mood. Her eyes narrow intensely, and she scowls angry daggers straight at Lucky. The atmosphere around her seems to almost dim visible ... and that fell wind that even the birds fear seems to blow all the more ominously. Her lips are curled even more extremely into that predatory sneer, "You... you really think I'd be someone like that?!" She angrily stomps her foot into the ground a few times. Clearly those heels of hers are reinforced as they don't snap off!!! "Fuck you! Like I'd take orders from some two-bit dojo skank!!!"

It seems a fist fight is inevitable at this point. However thens omething changes. When Lucky gestures toward the table and chairs, and offers tea or something, Juri immediately halts her tantrum. With arms crossed over her chest she regards the tall man coolly. Then her stomach audibly /growls/ right as she begins to speak, "White tea. Plain. And something spicy to eat."

...err food soothes the savage beast?

--

Probably the worst thing of it all is that Lucky doesn't seem to really be phased by the fact she is upset. He is sure when she gets to talk to Takuma it will better her mood. Too bad he doesn't realize in this case kindness might get him killed. He also seems unbothered by the language. The guy grew up in Philedelphia and as much as people call it the city of brotherly love it is more like the city of 'fuck you'. He just laughs some. "Well you certainly are a fiesty one." He almost has the urge to pat her on the head, but maybe fate decided to at least help him somewhat and tell his brain 'no'.

"I'll see what we have. All I think that is left from lunch is some left over riceballs." With that he turns about and he starts to wander back towards the dojo idly making beatbox noises to himself as he somewhat dances his way towards the door. The rest of the students in the area have mostly all cleared out or gone into the dojo proper at this point. It seems at least all the younger people have learned well when to stick around and when to get the hell out of dodge when certain people are around.

--

Smart move. Juri seems to have calmed down significantly at the moment, a condition brought about by her hunger and the offer of food. However patting her on the head and treating her like a child would almost certainly be like flinging a match at a powder keg. Sure it might be fun, but eventually ONE of those suckers is going to make it go off. And you don't want to be the one patting it on the head when it happens. So while Lucky goes off to sate one of Juri's carnal desires, Juri herself walks over to the table and chairs offered to her earlier.

A calm Juri is a rare thing. But she seems civilized enough as she pulls out one of the chairs and sits at the table. She leans back casually within the chair, resting one arm on its back and looking out over the yard. "Rice balls. Feh. Whatever. As long as it isn't poisoned." She states idly to herself. Lucky is unlikely in earshot to catch it, after all. Her legs suddenly are raised up and onto the table, shoes and all, and she leans back further. "Ooooh man... so fucking bored going to diiiie. Seriously. Where the fuck is everyone? It's not like I come by to visit often. And I heard that Takuma asshole was pretty strong."

--

Going back into the dojo proper is probably the best thing that could happen to Lucky. That is when he is told that Juri is not from Todoh's dojo and no one has a clue who she is or why she is looking for Takuma for that matter. All he finds out is that she is probably bad news and that letting her linger is probably not a good idea. He is really wishing someone more in charge was around to consult with in this case, but he supposes he can try and handle this matter since he got himself into it.

He steps back out with that smile, but without tea or riceball in hand. "Hey, I was told about the situation by people that seem to know more about this than I do." he explains as he closes in. "I apologize for calling you a member of Todoh's dojo since it appears you aren't one of them." He then decides what is the best way to remove the rather annoyed woman and he wonders what Takuma would do exactly when dealing with this sort of person. He tilts his head and then seems to nod. No words are said and he is still smiling as he just casually lifts his leg and attempts to plant it into Juri's face.

When Lucky comes back, Juri is still leaning back in her chair looking as bored as before. Though when she sees he comes back without ANYTHING she definitely has a 'What the Hell' look on her face. That's when he starts to apologize. Huh. Did he want to apologize while waiting for the tea to brew? It seems to her he could have at least brought the rice ball. She closes her eyes and sighs while continuing to relax, "Whatever. It's not like I give a fuck about you anyw..." WHALLOP!

She may not be getting a riceball, but now Juri suddenly has a mouthful of Lucky's leg. And it tastes just as she suspected it would: Disgusting. Both Juri and her chair go falling backwards now, and she hits the ground /hard/. So hard in fact that she actually takes a second before rolling backwards and acrobatically leaping to her feet. Landing on those heels with grace takes skill, and she sticks that landing without so much as a stumble.

Blood oozes from the corner of her lip. Slowly she raises her finger and traces it across that lip, smearing it with her own blood and giving her the appearance of wearing a new kind of grisly lipstick. She then tilts her finger into her mouth and licks it luxuriously, "Oh... how wonderful..." She hunches down into a feral looking fighting posture while her eyes alight with dangerous energy, "I was worried about being bored with the rice balls ... but I found something spicier to eat instead!!!'

Juri suddenly blurs into motion, moving with incredible speed toward her target. For now no fancy tricks: Just a simple running turn into a heel kick aimed directly at Lucky's chest intending to send him sprawling backwards into a wall. Possibly with a new high-heel shaped stab wound in his torso.

He decided not to put all his strength into the kick because he wasn't sure just how tough this woman really was. He hoped a little tap like that was enough to send her running off, but then again she was asking for Takuma so he shouldn't have expected it to be so easy. When she gets back up and starts looking like she is going to fight back Lucky gets into his fighting stance and prepares for whatever trouble there might be. "I'm no Takuma, but I am sure he would rather not return to see someone like you around. Sorry about this." he gives a small thumbs up and then quickly finds himself having to use his arms to block the oncoming kick. Even though he manages to ease the blow his arms are still hurting from the impact. For someone so tiny she certainly packs a punch.

He shakes his arms off momentarily and he nods. This one looks like she is going to be a tough nut to crack from the looks of it. He is more wondering why an instructor or the like hasn't come out. Maybe they are watching to see what Lucky can do. If they are watching that really limits what he can do too since they are on order to not let him use his basketball tricks. He moves forward at a rather quick pace for someone his size and he leaps up to knee Juri in an attempt to knock her in the air. If successful he brings his other leg up and quickly brings it down in an axe kick to the back of her head. "Hah!"

Lucky            0/-------/---====|======-\-------\0             Juri

It's always a bit disappointing when one of your kicks is blocked or deflected. Though contact is made, it lacks the same joyful sensation of tearing sinew, ripping muscle, and shattering bone that she so enjoys. But it's alright. There are many more kicks where that came from. She lowers her foot after the kick and assumes a comfortable posture with one leg held bent and up in the air. She seems to be giving Lucky the time he needs to retaliate: Feeling confident, are we Juri? Indeed, to her watching Lucky come at her is almost like watching something move in slow motion. She'll just wait for him to strike with the first blow and the--

And then? What happened to the and then? The knee impacted with Juri's stomach, and so much force was behind it that it knocked the plan right out of her! She attempts to recover, to spin in the air with her foot alighting with psychic fire. However then comes the downward axe kick that crashes down upon the back of her head and sends her crashing to the foor with enough force that it cracks beneath her body! One of her hair buns has now come undone... and as she lay on the floor her pitch black hair spreads across it like tar.

"Heh... so I see. You actually are a challenge after all." Slowly she returns to her feet, but remaining hunched over. A garish purple light can be seen glowing from her eye behind the wall of black hair in front of her face. A feral grin splits into a hungry smile, "Good. Come on big boy. Try and /break/ me."

--

The larger fighter lands with ease and realizes he might have dodged a bullet there. He isn't too adept at using his own energy compared to some people and he could tell if that woman had her way he might be in for a world of hurt. He just needs to let himself not get overconfident and chase this woman off if he can. "Not trying to break you. Just want you off the property." he replies and tries to formulate just how much punishment he might have to dish out for that to happen. She is small, but he delivered a rather powerful blow there and she doesn't seem ready to let up just yet.

There is no reason for him to just stand around like this waiting to be smacked in the face either. His gaze travels over towards one of the chairs at the table that Juri was sitting at and he goes to kick one up into the air. If he can't use his basketball then he will just have to improvise with what he has around him. He jumps up high again and he grabs that chair with both arms before slinging it down at Juri as hard as he can. He might have to pay and get a new one, but he doesn't mind if it works as he hopes.

COMBATSYS: Juri endures Lucky's Death Dunk.

The chair travels up, and comes down. The small Korean woman doesn't even make an effort to move, and instead she tenses her muscles tightly. The chair crashes against her body with enough force that it breaks. One of the corners of the chair actually hit her in the arm so hard that it draws blood from her shoulder. Oh sure, it hurt like Hell. But when Lucky returns to the ground in front of Juri he'll notice most disturbingly that Juri's grinning so broadly that it's someone unzipped part of her face. "... almost ready..."

"KILL KILL KILL!!!"

And with those words Juri drops onto her right arm and delivers a sudden sweep kick aimed at Lucky's legs. Alongside that kick is a swirl of violet psychic flame: Nebulous and chaotic, and powered by the very agony that dominates Juri's life. The first kick is aimed to drive Lucky sideways off his feet. The continuing kicks will be aimed to push him up into the air. Regardless of whether or not she hits though she'll push off with her right arm and rise into the air like a demented purple helicopter from Hell!

But if she does hit, well, the fun begins.

Lucky            2/<<<<<<</<<<<<<<|-------\-------\0             Juri

It's all fun and games when you're able to hit Juri. Her body bends and breaks just like any other human's. But with each scrap of pain you deliver upon her, she prepares to return it upon you tenfold. Her attack is delivered with such force that it produces a powerful horizontal breeze that pushes away the table and knocks over the remaining chairs. Each kick seems more powerful and painful then the last: Indeed, the psychic fire she is consumed with seems to assault the psyche of its victim. Threatening to bury your sanity beneath an overwhelming, choking miasma of pain and terror.

At the apex of the attack there is a reprieve! However brief, and Juri can be seen rising into the air beside Lucky's unresponsive form. Her right foot held high, and a chaotic storm of psycho power swirling powerfully around her! She delivers a painful downward kick that sends the massive man sprawling toward the ground at breakneck speeds. Though, improbably, Juri lands before him: Streaking past and hitting the ground so hard that she has to drop on all fours just to cancel her momentum.

Once coming to a stop she stands, spins on her heel and delivers a painful upward kick directly to Lucky's lower back! He ends up bent over her high-heels, and due to his height ends up nearly touching the floor with both his hands AND his feet. Though Juri herself doesn't seem burdened by his weight. She simply leans upwards and gently carresses his chin with her hand. A sultry purr: "Aww... if you wanted that, you could have just... ASKED!"

She spins on her heel again, and delivers Lucky head-and-neck first into the ground below with enough force to crack the flooring beneath him! Hope Takuma spared some money for the repairs bill. Assuming Yuri hasn't already made off with it, that is.

--

This is just what he worried about. He still had no idea what this woman was fully capable of and it comes to be she is quite adept at causing pain in spades. He almost blacks out from the pain that each blow delivers. There are audible cries of pain as much as he tries to keep himself from letting them out. This isn't the first time he has been beaten down, but he has rarely felt this much pain in so little time. The fact that despite being beat up she seems to be enjoying herself all too well disturbs him to no end. All the air is knocked out of him on impact and there is a nice little spiderweb of cracks formed where he hit.

He is unsure if he can even move, but he has a feeling he is better off trying to still fend her off than just remaining on the ground. she isn't going to be the type to just wander off and leave him be he figures. He manages to finally move and gets up and he even manages a smile despite one eye being closed and blood leaking from nose and mouth. "And I will ask again. Get off the property." he calmly says before he leaps forward and kicks his feet outwards in a form of a dropkick aimed to slam into Juri.

He twists about upon impact as he does a bit of a jumping flip and a heel slams into the woman's chin. If she wants pain he may as well offer some in return for the pain she just caused him. He actually twirls about a few times, his legs turning into a bit of a tornado as each time a heel drives into Juri it knocks her further into the air. He then uses his momentum to flip forward and once again plant a powerful kick to the back of the woman's head to send her straight back into the ground. He lands in a crouch breathing heavily, but he still manages to keep from passing out from the pain. "Come on Lucky....just a bit more."

--

After Juri lands on the ground, her entire body is actually wracked with pain. This night has been full of surprises. She came, after all, to fight Takuma - not some two-bit punk being trained by him. Though now she struggles to get back onto her feet. Blood oozes still from her lip and from the gash carved out of her shoulder. Her other hair bun has been knocked loose as well by now and her straight black hair falls over her shoulders and back in a cascading midnight waterfall. Both of her eyes can still be clearly seen by Lucky though, and she starts laughing. Her entire body in fact convulses with hideous laughter! "Too late to just ask me to leave. Not after you've shown me such hospitality. Oh, and I'll have to give kudos where kudos are due. You've done good tonight. You've satisfied me in ways I didn't think was possible for you. And in appreciation..."

Juri reaches over to grab the table with both of her hands. Despite her diminuitive height, she is incredibly strong. So strong in fact that it's a simple thing for her to overturn the table and, grabbing it by the upper part of its legs, left it high over her head! "That I think I'll pay you back for hitting me with a chair earlier. GOOD NIGHT!" She screams the last bit with unrestrained glee as she attempts to lower the table atop of Lucky's head.

This was not at all the way Lucky had expected to spend his day. Things were going so good and now they turn out so strange. He can't say bad. he is impressed with himself and what he managed to do. He has another story to tell to his friends and while things didn't end so well as his spar with Takuma he feels like he has accomplished more in this instance. "I am to please." he just remarks and probably the most annoying thing is he is still smiling himself. Not in a sadistic or gleeful way either. It is one of those things where you half expect a thumbs up and a tooth glint to go with said Smile.

His body is too beat up to provide him much of an option to what happens. He watches as that table comes downwards and it shatters over him. The weirdest part is by the time the chunks hit the ground Lucky isn't standing in front of Juri, but behind her. "Now get out of here!" he yells and he uses what is left of his energy to deal one swift kick to Juri's keister as he falls backwards and lands on the ground with an exhale of breath. That smile remains on his face even when unconcious and the only movements are a slight rise and fall of his chest to show he is still breathing.

--

Unbelievable.

Juri has not only been given a run for her money, but after facing this strange fighter she has been left feeling ... wait, no, she still feels like an angry violent bitch like she always does. The swift kick she receives to the rear after she failed to completely flatten Lucky with the table only serves to increase her frustration! After the table hits the ground and splinters into pieces, she stumbles forward over them, trips, and lands face first into a spile of jagged chunks of wood. She grits her teeth tightly together, gripping her hands fists so tight that one of her hands, which happened to fall upon a piece of wood, CRUSHES it entirely. She pushes herself back up onto her feet and turns around to face Lucky once more, "ALRIGHT! This is fucking it! No more playing around. I'm going to grab you by the throat, insert my hand into your mouth and rip your lower jaw out you sad sack o..."

He's asleep. He just ... fell over unconscious, smiling. Smiling /at her/ one could presume. Juri's left eyebrow twitches slightly as she huffs. "Of course, they always fall asleep before you're satisfied. Bastards." That's ... probably not the thing you're thinking about Juri. Regardless the Taekwondoka shakes her head and simply ... waves her hands uselessly. "Whatever. I'm done. This has just been a huge fucking waste of my time. I don't even feel like killing him right now." So with a snort, a grumble, and a plate full of sour grapes Juri stalks out of the Kyokugen yard.

Enjoy your shining moment of awesome Lucky. YOU EARNED IT!
