Description: Longtime rivals Maki and Chang go at it again in the Neo League. Any predictions for who comes out on top? (Winner: Maki)
Howard Arena is expecting a fight between two frequent rivals, with fans for either foe waiting for Chang Koehan and Maki to face off. Cheers rise from Chang's fans as he stumbles in, dragging his iron ball behind him. "My fans! Hooraaaaay for Chang! HOORAY FOR CHANG!" He does a little dance, spinning around before falling onto his backside. "Dur hur hur!"

And, of course, here's Maki, who's already arrived in advance, having known about her League battle already. She's been mostly warming up and whatnot while her loyal Metro City fans show their support with banners and things of that nature, while others chant her name as well. Maki gives them a wave of her tonfa and a smile before she resumes her warming up. After that, she takes a few sips of water, before looking to see who her opponent is.
"Oh, swell..."
Her opponent is none other than one of her longtime Neo League rivals, Chang Koehan. The large fighter who's big on brawn but small on brains... and courtesy towards women. The giant doesn't scare Maki in the least bit, not at all. Instead, she simply shakes her head in disgust and says, "You again? I've already beaten you twice before, so I don't know why you keep coming back for more." A smile appears abruptly on Maki's face as she gets into her fighting stance. "But if you wish to get beaten down by a girl again, that's fine with me!"

Chang Koehan turns sheepishly over his shoulder to see Maki, before climbing to his feet. "And I've beat /you/ once, little girlie! And it's about to be twice! Hurr hurr hurr!" He swings his ball up and around, spinning it around him as he approaches Maki. "This is gonna be /ugly/! Hurr hurr hurr!" He sends the ball flying at Maki, the ball bouncing across the arena.

"If you can beat a moving target, then I'm sure you'll make it twice," Maki says as she watches the incoming ball aimed right at her. "But I'm not going to let you win that easily!" With that, Maki brings her arms up and steadies herself for the impact from the incoming giant ball. It smashes into her but only hurts a little, compared to what could've been her lying on the ground bleeding and bruised at the beginning of the match. "But if you think I'm gonna let you win that easily, then you've forgotten our past fights, buddy boy!" With that, Maki gets back into her fighting stance, showing little signs that she was just whacked by a giant steel ball.
"And did I mention that barely even fazed me? Maybe one of the Mad Gear losers that I've taken on in Metro City might have been hurt by that, but not me!" With that, Maki rushes at Chang and swings her tonfa at the side of his stomach. If she doesn't hit a kidney, at least she'll still make her point known.

Chang grabs the tonfa as it comes towards him, stopping it in his hand. "Hurr hurr hurr, you may got speed, but I got this big metal ball!" With a big grin on his face, he decides to illustrate his point by pulling the ball back to him, the big ball bouncing across the ball at Maki's back on its way to Chang.

"The bigger they are, the harder they fall," Maki says as she jumps backwards out of the way of the incoming steel ball. "While the smaller they are, the faster they move!" Maki winks a little at Chang as she twirls her tonfa around a couple times as a way of adding a little effect to her remark. "So tell me, can you keep up with me still?" With that, Maki takes a few running steps, and then thrusts into the air, flying directly at Chang with her foot outstretched. If Chang's not quick, he may find himself with the imprint of the sole of Maki's sneaker on his torso!

Chang swats Maki out of the air and away from him, getting hit on the arm. It leaves a welt, but it's not much of one. He barely felt that. "You can pound me all day, I can take it! But can you take it? Hurr hurr hurr!" he bellows, reaching out for Maki and attempting to grab her by the head, before bringing his cranium flying down at Maki's nose.

"Really? Well I should hire you as my personal punching bag!" Maki says with a grin as she ducks down under Chang's big arm and then rolling around him so she's behind him. "Too bad I don't think there's any room for you to fit where I could train with you!" She shakes her head and tsks. "But oh well, that's your problem, not mine!"
Speaking of problems, though, Chang might want to turn around quickly since Maki's about to show him another trick. She drops onto the tip of her tonfa and then spins around wildly like a whirlwind with her foot outstretched. Round and round she goes, where she stops nobody knows!

Chang gets hit in the back by numerous kicks, but barely moves, only grunting as he feels Maki spin into him. Slowly, he turns around, glaring down at Maki with a big frown. "Punching bag? But I punch back! Hurr hurr hurr!" He swings his ball up and around from behind him, bringing it down at a diagonal angle on Maki.

"That makes things even more challenging," Maki says with a sly smirk as she dodges to the other side of where Chang's ball was aimed at hitting her. "Just hitting a punching bag alone isn't all that challenging. But then again, you're not all that challenging either. Perhaps if you were to pick up the pace a little?" Maki seems a little on the bored side right now, but she's not letting her guard down. Instead, she simply watches Chang and waits to see what his next attack or maneuver will be.

Chang Koehan frowns down at Maki. "Pick up the pace? Huh? You want it faster? Well, okay!" He charges forward, the ground shaking beneath him, before lashing out with his foot, flying up into the air and then down onto his back with a huge shaking.

Seems Chang wants to try imitating the San Andreas fault or something in that vein, since now he's trying to shake things up. Maki isn't in the mood to be shaking it up, but her attempt to jump as the foot lands is a little off in terms of timing, and she lands in the middle of the shaking. Fortunately, it doesn't hurt that much, it's more of causing Maki to lose her balance briefly and drop to one knee. But then she gets back up quckly and dusts herself off.
"You're good at listening, I'll give you that. But you're not good at imitating earthquakes." Maki narrows an eye at Chang for a moment, before rushing at him again, this time, swinging her tonfa upwards at his chin in a swift manner, with extra power added for good measure!

Chang blocks the tonfa, knocking it down and away from his face. "I'm gonna rock your world, little girl! Rock it all the time, crazy American party!" he rants, not quite managing to be coherent. He flings his ball at Maki, the chain wrapping around his forearm unravelling as he lets out more length.

Maki finds herself getting a little worn out as she attempts to avoid the incoming attack, which she figures will be elementary for a woman like her. But unfortunately, she finds that she's a little too tired for dodging right now, and gets hit. Albeit mostly with the chain than the ball, but it still does hit her a little, sending her staggering backwards. She's starting to run out of steam already, yet her fighting spirit isn't done yet. This could be a problem for Maki.
"I must admire you, you're doing pretty well this time," Maki says as she moves back towards the front-row seats and takes a bottle of water from a vendor (apparently, her sponsors in Metro City have paid up front for this.) She takes it out and starts drinking it, letting the cool liquid refresh her a little.

Chang sees Maki go over to a vendor, and then has an epiphany. He can eat /right now/! Feeling his tummy rumbling, he plods over to the side of the arena opposite Maki, and briefly haggles with a vendor, before receiving a large hotdog. He quickly scarfs it down, pieces of pork and bread flying out of his mouth as he sloppily chews.

As Maki finishes her drink, she looks up at Chang and a look of disgust appears on her face. "Not only is he rude to women," Maki says to herself, "But he also has no table manners! Then again, it is Chang, so what should I expect?" With that, Maki winks at the water vendor and then resumes her fight against Chang.
"Get ready! I'm comin' to get ya!" She yells as she dashes towards the giant fighter who's pigging out on pork, and then leaps into the air, attempting to deliver a swift flying kick to Chang right in the stomach. (Hey, it's that big!)

Chang gets kicked in the gut, and the food he just ate comes right back up, the Korean splortching his meal everywhere, including on Maki. "Hurrrgh...Ummm...Sorry?" he says sheepishly, before lashing out at Maki with his foot, trying to kick her in the stomach in return.

Being covered in puke and eaten hot dog really makes one's dodging improve, since Maki staggers backwards quickly as she's covered in the gross stuff, causing Chang's kick to miss completely. All the while, she's cursing under her breath as she attempts to clean herself off. "Gross!" She shouts. "You pig out on your own kind and then share it with me!" Maki looks up with eyes flaring with anger. "You are more disgusting than I ever imagined anyone ever could be!"
With her face now holding a very deep scowl and a grip tight on her tonfa, Maki steps slowly towards her opponent. "I thought I'd seen it all with you, Chang Koehan, but now you've pushed me too far, far beyond my limits! Now it's time to show you what I do to people when I get mad!" With that, Maki attempts to grab Chang by his arm and draw him closer. If successful, Maki will administer a series if knee strikes to the thighs, since she's not in the mood to be puked on... and she doesn't even want to THINK of kneeing him THERE!

Chang gets reeled in by his arm, before getting repeatedly kneed in the legs. He growls down at Maki as he's struck, his legs hard beneath the blows, despite jiggling a great deal in a rather disgusting show of his body fat. "Hurr hurr hurr, you need to hit harder than that!" He grabs at Maki's head, attempting to squeeze it between his meaty fingers.

Raising her arms around her head, Maki grits her teeth and squeezes her eyes shut as she feels those heavy fingers close around her. She grunts as she feels like her arms are going to break at any moment, but she manages to endure it somehow. When she's finally released, Maki steps back a little, trying to catch her breath, but not for long.
"Looks like you've got me close to the ropes... but I'm not there yet!" With that, Maki takes a deep breath and lets it out as she swings her tonfa with both hands at Chang's thigh, hoping to add a little more to where she got him.

Chang blocks the strike with his fist, knocking the tonfa down with a punch. He grabs his iron ball from the ground and bounce passes it at Maki's legs, attempting to knock her over with his big metal weapon. "Hurr hurr hurr, you can't stop the Chang!" he gloats.

Maki things she can use the momentum of her tonfa being knocked away to get out of the way of the incoming ball, but that's a bad idea on her part. Maki finds herself getting smashed and going flying across the arena, crashing into a nearby wall, leaving her dazed and confused for a few moments. As she gets up, it's plain to see that Maki's really taken a bad beating this time around.
"I may not stop you, but I can damn well try!" Maki says, hobbling towards Chang while watching to see what he's got for his next trick in this lousy show.

Chang Koehan lets out a loud laugh! "Hurr hurr hurr! Did that hurt, little girlie?" he says in a jolly manner. He stomps towards the limping Maki, grinning widely as his eyes burn with intensity. He pulls his ball back, with Maki in the ball's path back to his hands.

"Damn right it hurt!" Maki shouts in response, not flinching when she sees the ball being prepped to come at her. She attempts to deliver another whirlwind, this one in hopes of getting Chang away from her, but it's not without its flaws. Maki gets hit with the ball, but the impact should be more than enough to send the ball back at Chang and hurt him as well. Meanwhile, Maki rolls across the ground and lands in a somewhat seated position once again, nose bleeding and a bit scratched up. The girl looks up at Chang and says, "How does that feel?" In a weak voice.
Chang gets whalloped by the ball flying back at him and hitting him in the head. He stumbles about briefly, his head smarting, before he realizes what's going on. Shaking his head back and forth to clear the stars, he shouts, "IT FEELS GOOD! OH YEEEAAAAH!" He grabs his ball and runs at Maki, before dropping to the ground and rolling at Maki.

How does Maki block something like that? With a lot of defensive stance and a lot of courage. The impact barely knocks her backwards, but it does leave her gasping for air and struggling to maintain a steady stance. She's really weak now, but then again so is Chang. It could go either way this time around, but Maki's not about to let Chang have the victory again. She's intent on making this her third victory.
"You're not done with me yet! Let's see what you think of this familiar tactic!" With this, Maki's body lights up, and then she dashes at Chang, aiming to deliver a swift flurry of tonfa strikes and kicks.

Chang gets struck by the chi-charged tonfa strikes and kicks, staggering backwards. As he wobbles on his feet, he lets out a mighty bellow, bringing the big ball down at Maki with a blur of speed uncommon for the large man. "I'M GONNA CRUSH YOU!" After the ball comes down, he falls down on his face, out cold.

Sorry, but not this time. Maki dodges out of the way, using what little chi remains as her opponent falls to the ground. After that, Maki slouches over, standing up briefly to acknowledge the applause from her fans and ignoring the boos of the others. After that, she heads off to get treated for her injuries and have something to drink.
